All I wanted was to play Old Freddy again :(
-
I just want to know when Insidious will be reworked, it was only really good as a camping perk and it's almost useless now.
-
It'd be cool if we could get an addon that changes his power to the old one. He was such a cool killer, but they just straight up deleted him from the game.

They should either leave Tuned Carb's effect in place and remove the drawback entirely (since it is a purple add-on).
OR
Give it waaaaay more benefits to make up for the reduced base speed (higher heat limit, better cooling, better turning, reduced noise, etc).
Personally, I think the second option would be a little more fun and unique, but the first would probably be easier to implement and work with.
I think giving it a bunch of extra benefits would be pretty cool. Maybe increasing the amount of time you're curving for would make the downside worth it, that'd let you pull off some insane moves with your Chainsaw.

Alright, this sounds fun. Let me try it for my main:
Power: Dream Demon
Pull survivors into the Dream World
-Survivors who are awake do not see The Nightmare.
-Once targeted by The Nightmare’s power, survivors enter the Dream Transition for 7 seconds.
-During the Dream Transition Survivors can see glimpses of The Nightmare and they suffer from the Incapacitated status effect.
-When the Dream Transition Lapse, the Survivor is pulled into the Dream World.
Once in the Dream World:
-Survivor’s auras are revealed to The Nightmare when they are outside of his terror radius.
-Survivors suffer an action speed penalty of 50%.
-To exit the Dream World, Survivors can find non-sleeping Survivors to perform a wake up action.
-Failed Generator Skill Checks can also wake up.
-Hooked Survivors wake up.
Special Ability: Dream Projection
-Teleport to a Generator in view. Releasing the button early will cancel the action.
-Survivors cannot interact with the targeted Generator.
-For each Survivor in the Dream World, the cool-down of using Dream Projection is reduced by stack-able 20%.

What do you think, my fellow Old Freddy main? It is basically his old power, but with some extras.
Sounds pretty cool, the only problem is that incapacitated is a Twins-specific effect. You might want to just have it so they can't do basic interactions, otherwise you'd be able to trap people at the gates by pulling them into the dream. Plus the HUD effect is Victor's hands grabbing onto the survivor, which would look weird against a Freddy lol.
Apart from that, it seems pretty great! He'd actually be able to prevent survivors from finishing actions in front of him, and he'd still have that much needed mobility.
The only thing I'd add is an indication of if you were visible to the survivor during the Dream Transition. Maybe they could be highlighted in blue (like if they were fully asleep) when they can see you. This would make an important part of Freddy's kit accessible to players without having to memorize the timings.
-
Alright, so you take The Nightmare, and undo his rework. Pretty simple.
-
Red Forest is disabled due to a map bug.
-
Don't you have anything better to do?
-
Hooking someone for the first time when the gates are open is always risky. If you can't hook 3 people once before the endgame, that sounds like a you problem, to be honest.

One of my favorite perks tbh. A teammate with Detective's Hunch is a really valuable one.
Detective's Hunch is a perk I can never remove from my build now, it's so useful. I hate Hex perks, so I'll be busy in the corner crushing the killer's bones >:D
@Yords said:
I think the most underrated survivor perk is we'll make it. It is literally a godsend when your teammates are boosted and take unecessary hits in solo queue and is just great to have. It also counters sloppy.
We'll Make It is great as well, it lets you reset so fast when you need it the most.

A while ago there was a person sending people the trans slur in DMs on the DBD discord, people reported it and they did nothing.
Yet people got banned for calling victor a baby. Priorities I guess.
That sounds like the DBD discord mods lol, they have no issue banning people instantly for posting a video in the wrong section, but take 30 minutes to kick someone spamming slurs in the chat.
-
Yeah, the chat filter censors random words. It's really inconsistent as well, sometimes it will let me say something, sometimes it'll censor it.
Hell, it even censored "Mathieu Cote" for me.
-
It's great on Freddy, especially if you get a hook near a generator.
-
If Haddonfield isn't balanced, then why is Balanced Landing the best perk to run on it?
Checkmate, killer mains.

Too bad that when "Blood warden" did pop-up, i was just toward the doors and i don't know what to do i did hide myself back on one of the walls of the exit door, as if i did leave Oni would smashed me.
You do realise he can see your aura while you're in the gates, right?
-
Yeah, it got nerfed hard. Only being able to use it after getting unhooked is a HUGE unneeded nerf. Even if you were trying to hook the obsession, you could still juggle them to the hook to completely deny them DS, which is adequate counterplay. What are those killer mains at BHVR going to do next, remove infinites?

Dude, it was so obvious it was an April fools prank. It was a LONG time ago since I saw an "Add pallet vacuum back" thread.
I know, but even the most obvious jokes go over people's heads here sometimes.
-
I think it should work in a radius around you, so nearby survivors on a generator or healing are hidden from Aura Reading as well.
-
While we're at it, let's give Freddy the ability to teleport to your Mum's House.
His power isn't useless at the endgame, you can trap exit gates to let you know when they're being opened.
-
You do realise that they stated that Rift cosmetics wouldn't be exclusive forever when they released the feature, right?

No one will EVER leave you slugged with no mither.
Why would you even suggest that?
Hey, they're the one who wanted a No Mither build. You may as well at least try to get some value out of the perk.
-
I think a good 4th perk would be Tenacity, as it lets you crawl away quickly while recovering. You can take advantage of No Mither's lack of blood and reduced noise in the dying state if the killer slugs you for a little while.
-
You have a whole 90 seconds to go get your item. If you can pick it up in time, it doesn't do anything to it.
Franklin's is the only good anti-item perk in the game, and it's not even that great of a perk compared to others.
Buff Overwhelming Presence please D:

If that were true it wouldnt be a problem. However its never the case. Im telling you they’ve spread the hooks further out at some point over the past few months, likely to go along with the map reworks. Theres only ever 1 hook within range and this is without oak offerings.
If you're having THAT much of a problem with sabotage, then I'd recommend running Hangman's Trick. It will let you see people running to the hook and give you a notification when they start saboing. That or just drop them when you hear the hook break, no Hangman's Trick needed.
-
@PureHostility said:
@Dizzy1096 oh, you are such a young creature that didn't experience the true hell of Sabo meta in 2016/2017.
Such innocence is precious.
Current Sabo is perfectly... Weak and would require some sort of a small buff of sorts, but I have no idea what kind.
Yeah, Sabo is nothing compared to what it used to be. If someone sabos a hook in front of you, chances are if you've picked them up recently, you'll make it to another hook no problem.
-
Sounds like someone needs to run Camaradarie and DS.
-
Here, take a Caracal:
He chillin'.
-
Nightmare
- Freddy's main ability has been replaced with his pre-rework one. His Snares have been replaced with the ability to pull people into the dream.
- Survivors can no longer wake up during the Dream Transition, this is to prevent survivors from being able to self-care in front of him and Freddy not being able to do anything about it.
- Freddy will keep his Dream Projection from the current rework, but the cooldown will be reversed. The more survivors that are awake, the less time it stays on cool down.
- After using Dream Projection, the Nightmare will be able to hurt awake survivors for a short amount of time. Successfully hitting an awake survivor during this state will pull them into the Dream World. Freddy will be fully visible to awake survivors while he can hurt them.
- During the Dream Transition, survivors will be highlighted in blue while The Nightmare is visible to them, and will not be highlighted when he is not. This is to make using the Dream Transition glimpses for mindgames a lot easier.
-
@GoodBoyKaru New Sluzzy thread dropped, can we get some cow pictures?
-
I think these would be cool buffs. Upping the aura range to 48m and being able to tell the repair progress at a distance would make it a pretty useful perk. The third idea would make it a nice counter to Tinkerer as well.
-
I think it showcases how bullshit Badham Preschool can be, but that's about it.

Yes, I know, but otherwise the addon would simply be completely unnecessary. And I knew that Vegetable Oil would only apply on a successful hit. However, how often do you use the chainsaw and don't hit anyone? That happens very rarely, so it's unnecessary. I mean... the cooldown isnt that long
I mean, cooldown reduction would be a lot more useful that what we have now. The revving addons are basically useless.

Annoying? Since the Rework, I have never got into tantrum because of its overheat mechanics. And your idea already exists: Vegetable Oil ^^
The overheat mechanic doesn't affect anyone that isn't revving the chainsaw at someone on a hook, and it shouldn't. I haven't gotten into a tantrum from it either. I'm just saying changing it has the potential to make it annoying if they go too far with it.
Also Vegetable Oil only decreases the cooldown of successful attacks. The in-game description isn't accurate.
-
I don't think making a mechanic more annoying in order to make an addon good is a good idea.
I think the revving addons should be made into cooldown reduction on ending your Chainsaw Sweep, personally.

That's the way it is with every game. The top players are going to be using the best items.
If you want to play the game like it was before MMR, then the Devs should just change the survivors into Bots so killers can get their 4ks.
I don't get what bots have to do with this, I'm just highlighting my concern about the lack of variety of what survivors and killers can use in high-rank games.
-
I mean, the games have certainly been sweaty (the game has decided I'm amazing at Leatherface for some reason, thanks I guess lol), but I've been having some fun. I've had to change my build up to be a lot more meta, as that's what the survivors do:
I personally don't mind sweaty games, I like the challenge sometimes, but most of my games while MMR was on consisted of really good survivors with meta perks. My only concern, really, is that high-ranked matches will have no room for anything but the meta. It's borderline impossible to win without it. You really do have to fight the meta with the meta. My first few matches had a weaker, but more fun build, and I got stomped.
That's more of a discussion about the balance of the game in general, though, not SBMM.

Reject Snares, return to Old Freddy. I'd switch mains if he came back.

Imagine taking the time out of your day to sabotage a game just because people want to play with their friends, and then bragging about it on the forums despite it being clearly against the game rules.
Pathetic.

No. There's a reason Borrowed Time got reworked in the first place. What you're suggesting is Old BT without the one-use condition.

Freddy used to have a 24m Terror Radius before his rework as well.
