To give you some perspective, someone asked are they going to nerf/change Freddy. They said that they know Freddy's kill rate is much higher than the other killers and has steadily remained so for a year. It caught their attention. So they are going to re-balance him soon.
So long as it isn't like the last Freddy nerf that landed him in F tier for years, I think he'll be alright.

legion has two good ire addon and has the power addon which makes able to use his power for longer (I forgot the name) he also has an addon that makes survivors broken what does demo have? a rat liver
Making Survivors broken is the opposite of what you want.

Imo that was actually a pretty good QnA, one of the best they've had. That's restored a noticeable amount of faith in the devs.
They actually gave stuff to look forward to (clown teaser, wraith buff) and their stance on certain topics.
One question though, why Demo for the next adjustment after huntress add on pass? Demo while not being incredibly strong is one of the more balanced and well designed killers in the game aside from the god awful hitboxes. I would've thought maybe Plague, Hag or Michael, as they are much more problematic from a design perspective than Demo.
Because Demo is a boring Killer. His pick rate shows that nobody really plays him. His "jack of all trades" power comes back to bite him. Wanna play a Killer with a ranged power? Why play Demo when you can play Huntress or DeathSllinger? Wanna play a sneaky Killer? Why play Demo over Myers or GhostFace?
You get the picture. Demo just doesn't offer anything unique and subsequently, his pick rate is low.

The Twins is the weakest killer released to date, beating out Clown for that position. Devs shipped him with minimal buffs, and his biggest weakness, lockers, wasn't even added. So, you won't see em for awhile.
Legion might beat the with his recent bug.
Apparently, he now moves at 115% in Frenzy and has a short lunge in Frenzy as well.

But everyone was always one the other side of the map. Would it go that far?
No, but if he was a high-tier player, he may have enough game knowledge to infer where you were.
Basically, the one add-on hid aura'sfrom you, and I think he just made educated guesses on where you were.

I thought it was just Charlotte. That she just moved in a clunky way tricking my brain into thinking she moves slow.
But after getting pissed off with how merciless insecure survivors are being I went back to Clown and Doc, and they also feel very slow and sluggish.
Is this just me? 115 killers suddenly feel like 110 killers since the new chapter.
I'm not sure, but I've definitely felt the same thing.
The only movement speed thing I've heard of is that Legion lost his extra Frenzy speed and Lunge range.

Sorry, just to play devil's advocate: BT is easily counterable assuming you can count to 15. A lot of survivors in my (anecdotal) experience who try and rub it in your face will hang around trying to goad you into swinging, but you can just count down in your head and then hit them.
Those 15 seconds is usually enough to get to a strong loop, then you have DH and DS to worry about.

You were doing so well until you decided to put words in my mouth, the opposite of that which I actually said, without actually reading my comment.
I'm afraid I don't understand.
I merely remarked that Undying/Ruin/Tinkerer seemed to have very little to do with the games you mentioned. Without them, the outcome would've likely been the same.

Finally a decent response. It seems most of the other posters haven't actually played against this combo.
However, I've actually experienced the opposite: promoting quite unfun game play. The four matches I mentioned above went the exact same way: The killer forced the next hook stage on the first survivor he hooked, and tunneled him to death. From the beginning of the game to the end there was little the other 3 survivors (me included) could have done to change the outcome.
Had we ignored totems and only done gens, that would have been 2 gens left, with ruin and Undying still up when the first player died.
Had one or more players looked for totems while the first player was being chased, hooked, camped, and tunneled to death, that would have been 3 to 4 gens left when the first player died.
Had we all rushed the hook to save the first player before he reached his next hook state, not enough totems would have been broken, (almost) no gens would have been done, extra people would have been injured, and this it might not have even been worth the time (depending on how long the saved players' next chase lasted).
All of these situations give huge advantages to a killer who simply camps his first hook and has 2 (or 3, with Tinkerer) perks equipped. This is not a rare situation. Every one of those matches I mentioned went this way. Again, I am not complaining about camping or tunneling. Whether people do or do not do that is of no concern to me. What concerns me is that there is entirely too much benefit to simply equipping those 2 (or 3) perks and letting them win the game for you.
Maybe the American/European meta is a bid behind. I'm not sure. I haven't been watching streams from those regions recently. But this situation I've mentioned above is the norm on the Korean server. And it isn't fun.
If the Killer is hardcore camping, obviously you know to rush gens. Ruin won't get ANY value unless you leave your gen, so if he is camping, Ruin won't come into play, so I'm not sure I follow.
To me, it sounds like your problems lie in the way the Killer plays, not in his perk choice. Eliminating a Survivor as early as possible is an excellent strategy, provided said Survivor is a weak looper. A 3v1 is MASSIVELY against you. From what I've gathered, it sounds like the Killer would have won no matter what perks he was running.

I'd honestly love that, and always wondered why we couldn't, I know we aren't supposed to know who the killer is but why not the person playing killer?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1784373#Comment_1784373
Why? If you can just press the menu button and see the players and which character they are as soon as you enter the match, why not just let them see it before. It helps killers get the name matched to the character so they can keep track of things easier, especially if everyone wears the same exact outfit but bring different items. And if your reason is cause of lobby dodging then my counterargument is that if you really don't want to play with someone again just block them.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1784376#Comment_1784376
How do you do that? I've had one person message me to farm but never knew how they knew I was the killer, so I farmed thinking they were some cheater or using exploits. Is it just the recently played with area that gives it away?
Yup. It's in the Recently Played With tab.
-
A challenge. That's why I'm still at Rank 1.
-
It's already possible on Xbox, and let me tell you, people WILL dodge you if they don't like how you play lol
-
I disagree. While I think Undying might do too much, i.e aura reading on dull totems, I do not think that combo is overpowered.
It actually encourages fun and "good" gameplay. If you are a campy, tunneling Killer who doesn't spread out pressure, you won't get ANY value from it. However, if you spread out pressure and patrol gens, you will get value.
On the other hand, instead of using the DS example many have already done, I'll use Borrowed Time. BT is designed to allow the Survivor who gets unhooked to have a chance to escape if the Killer is camping. However, that is not how it is used in 99% of cases. Survivors use it to commit unsafe rescues with no punishment and there is NOTHING the Killer can do to stop BT from activating. It promotes bad plays and it should be looked into before Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer.

Buff Legion, Clown, Myers, Ghostface and Demogorgon

U know why u got those rank 15s?
Because they were probably smurfing, then cried when they faced you. I think mmr was good.
Smurfs just got some reality and took screenshots and cried.
Besides, currently green rank killers are facing red rank swfs so only fair if a couple of smurfing swfs have to face equal competition as well.
I literally played people who had just gotten the game. They weren't smurfs. I play on Xbox and I can almost guarantee that you don't have 15K gamerscore in a smurf account.
-
@zumer said:
Why don't you introduce an MMR system? how much can you mock weak players? I have a red rank and now I die in every match. Thanks for pushing the players away.
It was way worse when MMR was enabled. As a Rank 1 Killer, I either get all Rank 1's or all Purple Rank Survivors, not ideal but better than getting matched with Rank 15 Survivors.
-
Probably a tie between the ability to mess with people as Killer, for example, changing strategies mid-game and watching total panic ensue.
AND
Clutching a hard-won game on either side.

Yes. If I can kill them off quickly I will.

I'm not sure about the hypocrisy part, but what the OP is saying is that people will use their Rank to justify certain opinions when Rank, in itself, is extremely varied and unreliable.
-
Ruin Undying has a counter. At most, you'll break 5 totems. At the other end of the spectrum, you'll break 2.
Ruin Undying promotes healthy and fun gameplay. The Killer is encouraged to not tunnel and spread out their pressure and Survivors are encouraged to not slam out gens.
DS puts Killers into a lose-lose scenario and Survivors will force their hand. It isn't healthy and it is certainly abused by a good portion of the community.
-
I would agree. It isn't healthy to have something that puts players in a lose-lose scenario.

He's insanely dull to face. His power just stalls with no interesting aspect to it. It's just get hit, mend, and do whatever you were doing before. When you do finally get into a chase though, it's just a basic M1 chase with no real depth to it.
Then tell the Devs to change him. Trust me, he isn't super fun to play as either.

So let me start by saying I play mobile, so I understand my expirence with certain mechanics is likely super mega different and behind the console stuff, but anyway. I've been playing this game for a good while. My player level is devotion: 2 lvl26, but I've only just started to play Legion after all this time and I've got to say he's become an instant favorite of mine. and I've seen my fair share of memes poking fun and tier lists putting them super low by this point. I feel theres alot of hate on Legion and im honestly not getting it. I've found them to be mega fun and shenanigans-y. As well as a powerhouse I've been tending to get 4k with. I love slashing at a survivor in frenzy and needlessly hunting stabbing them extra until I miss or my meter runs out. Idk, its been a trip.
So whats up? Whats ur opinion? If not Legion, than who's your least fav? I'm not so partial to Max.T Jr, not cause I think his power sucks, I just suck playing as him. 😕
Legion absolutely dominates bad Survivors.
His win condition is extremely simple, if you heal against a Legion, you lose. If you don't heal, you win.
His power doesn't help him at all in a chase, and it comes with a longer stun/cooldown than Nurse's power, which is lightyears ahead of Legion's in terms of strength. Add in a slew of FPS issues on Console and it's usually better to not use his power.
Basically, low ranks Legion dominate, high ranks, he is bad.

It's relatively good until dropped. Then some moonwalking can catch the survivor. Even Huntress can make quick work of survivors staying near it because of her hatchets combined with the server latency
There's a drop next to it that leads into the window, which leads back to car pallet.
-
@DetailedDetriment said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1765817#Comment_1765817
I see what you mean, but the none of the pallets seen in this video are particularly strong anyways. Now, if it was an Autohaven car loop, I'd have a different opinion. Going into the house, yeah, that's annoying, but many killers, if they play aggressively, can lock the building down and down the surv fairly quickly, especially if they get trapped upstairs.
There's a very good pallet upstairs. This is why these maps aren't ready for BL to be removed.
-
@DetailedDetriment said:
This is a glitch. It rarely happens, but when it does, it can spawn something insane like two pallets at a jungle gym.
Pallet spawns like this don't make a difference when you just camp every one though. lmao.
I think it's more the pallet into car loop, into house. That's kinda ridiculous and Killer's shouldn't be FORCED to instantly break every pallet they see.

Doing the same: Killers who use powers to slow down/catch up Survivors
Suffered at certain moments: Killers who sometime requires BL, sometimes dont.
Suffered: Killers who always requires chase to cause damage.
I'd move Clown and PH down a tier.
I'd also move Pig and Legion down. Legion is so so miserable rn

I heard a suggestion a while back that said something to the effect of letting the Portals corrupt the environment around them. The Upside-Down seeps out of the Portal and slowly takes an expanding hold over the surrounding area, up to a maximum of, say, 20 meters.
This provides incentive for the Survivors to spend time cleansing Portals AND it gives the Portals status effects a real purpose.
I also kinda want to see Demogorgon function a little bit like old Freddy did. He can drag Survivors into the Upside-Down, where they'll be afflicted with certain status effects as an incentive to escape. Demo can freely travel between these two dimensions by using his Portals. Survivors can escape by using a permanent Portal in a random location around the map (like Freddy's clocks) or they can use one of the Demogorgon's Portals.

It’s people like you who make me hate where this game is going. It’s a ######### test for a couple days, get over yourself. They’ve prepared this for over a year now by implementing a lot of unsafe pallets and breakable walls into the new maps. Stop trying to ruin everything
That makes little difference.
This only hurts low-tier Killer's who needed BloodLust to, maybe, not break a pallet instantly.
-
For consistency.
-
First of all, this isn't a competitive game like Overwatch or R6:Siege. It is not balanced that way and that is VERY clear.

You can't really get downed by a bubba out of all the killers if you play well, he's mostly just an m1 killer with an instadown that can only be used if you severly mess up.

Clown needs to bloodlust?!?!
Huh?!?!
Something is seriously wrong with how he’s being played if they’re regularly BL with Clown.
I actually disagree.
Let me preface the following with an opening admission. You've become quite famous for your support of The Clown and his viability. I was very skeptical, but I had zero experience playing Clown, so I did not want to say anything. That being said, I've spent the last month playing Clown almost exclusively.
While he IS better than a lot of people give him credit for (especially with add-ons), in my opinion, he is still low-tier. When at a loop with Clown, the Survivor needs only to drop the pallet, and Clown's power is essentially useless at said loop. As a result, Clown eats pallets and wastes a lot of time breaking them.
Unfortunately, at this point in the game, there are enough pallets, in my experience, to allow the Survivors to stall long enough to escape. I still feel that if I went against Survivors of equal skill level to my Clown, I would simply lose, barring the possibility of a map like Hawkins, where is easy to mindgame pallets.
In short, I feel like this change will hurt Clown a LOT. However, not only Clown, but Legion, GhostFace, Myers, Wraith, Trapper, and Demogorgon, all lower tier Killer's.
-
@C3Tooth said:
Some perks benefit certain Killer or vice versa. The same to game mechanics (where Hag can protect her own mechanic - totems better than other Killers).
I agree with OP's title, Bloodlust mechanic never affect Nurse/Spirit performance. Mostly low tier Killers. Removal of Bloodlust will help Devs to see how much low tier Killers need Bloodlust, there for they can buff them up.
Unfortunately, it will likely also take time.
If you remove Bloodlust before you buff the weaker Killer's, a majority of the cast becomes borderline unplayable on most maps.
They need to change both at the same time.
-
I like Franklin's on Wraith. It helps get rid of those pesky items.
-
Interesting suggestions, but allow me to offer a rebuttal.
1.) You cannot limit people playing with their friends AND you are merely treating the symptoms of a more pressing issue. There is a HUGE power imbalance between Solo's and SWF and Killer's. It generally goes Solo<Killer<SWF. If you make Solo's equal to SWF, then buff Killer's accordingly, you eliminate the problem of 4-man SWF groups in the first place.
2.) I agree.
3.) I would like to change it so that they have a short channeling animation, so that the Killer has some counterplay.
4.) I agree.
5.) I agree.
6.) I agree.
7.) DS should also deactivate when healed, in the EndGame, when working on a generator or when entering a locker for 3+ seconds.
8.) There is a set amount of Ultra-Rare and Very Rare options that can appear in the BloodWeb. For example, on my Legion, I have every perk in the game. This means that I get a TON of Purple Add-Ons, since the game cannot give me anything else. None of Legion's Purple Add-Ons are that great tho.
-
Loss. It's almost always a de-pip.
This is just for me personally tho.
-
I, respectfully, disagree.
While it certainly hurts Sprint Burst users, the counter is to simply run away sooner. Additionally, since it is only 5 seconds, it isn't unreasonable to say that a Survivor could get their Exhaustion back by sitting at a pallet.
-
I want to like Surge, but I feel it suffers from something that most non-meta perks suffer from. Why should I take Surge over PGTW or Ruin/Undying?
It's map dependent and arguably less reliable as a result, plus the cooldown is annoying.
It's by FAR Demogorgon's best perk, and I want to like it, but unless it gets something else to make it competitive, I can't see using it.

-
Off.
It will remain off until Console is on equal playing-field with PC.

I don't remember my first Survivor game but I do remember my first Killer game, unfortunately.
Probably about 2 and a half years ago or so. I played Wraith and got matched with three Red Ranked Claudette's and one Rank 18 Claudette. They had flashlights and it was NOT a good time for me. Old DS, Dead Hard, Adrenaline and Prove Thyself I think. I got hatemail for like, an hour after the match because I managed to kill the low ranked Claudette.
And thus, my dislike for all Claudette's was born.

I think there are several.
Jason, anything from a Soulsborne game, The Predator, Alien, The Terminator ect ect
