Mirrors Edge has zero randomized elements and was a linear line from A to B. It also barely had any textures. Just white and red walls. And no direct online features. It was very low on processes.
And EA is a predatory publisher. You can be guaranteed that the original dev team was cannibalized and their bones made into a necklace.
The new COD runs better than this on Xbox One.
There is zero reason that DBD cannot run at a bare minimum of 30 FPS on Consoles.

I'm a nurse main with 1k hours. She is OP. I seriously have to try to lose when i play her. I literally can't even remember the last time i played a game with her and didn't get a 4k.
I understand she is hard to play, but that isn't a way to balance something. Her power fundamentally breaks the game. Ideally they should rework her entirely.
My experience with Nurse has been pretty different than yours. On Console, Nurse players pretty much don't exist. Nerfing her will only hurt that portion of the Community more.

They will be upset either way, because there will be players who think that the Item/Offering of the other side got changed way less than their Offering/Item.
But the Devs said in a recent Q&A that it might be possible that changes dont come at the same time. If that is happening, I just hope they will announce it as well. But knowing these forums, this will not help a lot.
I feel like if it is objectively true that say, Keys remain unchanged except for a 2 second channel, but Mori's get changed to something like, Ebony and Ivory Mori's are removed, I could see a reason for people being upset.
I don't think that will happen, but it isn't wrong of them to complain if one side of that equation is dealt with more harshly than the other, imo.

^ this.
You cant keep Ivory Moris like this, the only "good" thing about them is that they are kinda rare compared to Ebony Moris, which are the most common Moris. Removing 25% of the enemy team early is basically a win.
Also, to add - Devs said that Key and Mori Changes might not come in the same Patch. So we will see the Forum burn if one of it is changed and the other thing later. :>
They definitely need to be changed in the same patch. If it's three months in between when Keys are changed and when Mori's are changed, then I can understand people being upset.

Just had a match where I downed two survivors right next to a hook (thank you mad grit). I hooked one while the other positioned themselves on the ground behind the hooked survivor at the base of the hook, where it was impossible for me to pick them up.
Please tell me this isn't intended and will be fixed. I will throw the game for people like this and face camp them until they die. They want to be close to the hook, I'll make sure they spend as much time on it.
I haven't heard anything about it, but it is statistically better for you to leave them.
Unless they have Unbreakable, that will be three people not doing gens, since on of them has to pick the guy up off the ground. It IS really annoying, but yeah, leave them and pressure the others.

Is this not over every match played, like the rest of the stats? That means this statistic is very legit, like the rest of them. Differences in rank, SWF / no SWF, Mori / no more, sweat / no sweat, it's all in there. If you want to get the average chance of survivor for a sweaty SWF against a baby killer, for example, you can't use this number. If you want to get a good feel for overall game balance, though, you absolutely can use this number.
Edit: Per Peanits' update, this isn't the same as the stats we got last year. These are actually not useful. The last ones were, though.
I disagree. Stats are not reliable and only sow division in the community. BHVR should keep them private and not allow the community to see them. It only promotes fighting tbh.
-
It doesn't mean anything, just like the rest of the stats we get. There are WAY too many variables in play for this to be considered a legit statistic.
What ranks were the Survivors? What ranks were the Killers? SWF or no SWF? Mori's or no Mori? Meta perks or meme build?
You get the point.

Just a small addon pass to make some of legions addons more diverse and interesting
Franks Mix Tape, Can activate feral frenzy as long as meter is above 25% charge
Friendship Bracelet, Hitting a survivor in feral frenzy slightly increases movement speed for the rest of the feral frenzy, (0.1 m/s)
Never Sleep Pills, Hitting a survivor in feral frenzy moderately increases movement speed for the rest of the feral frenzy, (0.2 m/s)
Suzie's mix tape, Hitting a survivor in feral frenzy considerably increases movement speed for the rest of the feral frenzy, (0.3 m/s)
Stab Wounds study, Slightly decreases the cooldown of feral frenzy for each survivor hit during feral frenzy (0.25 seconds per survivor hit up to 1 second)
New legion basekit cooldown, 4 seconds but decreased by 0.25 seconds per survivor hit during feral frenzy up to 1 second off cooldown
I like the Frank's Mixtape changes.
The speed changes are also really good.
I think the base time of the stun should be reduced to 3 seconds, then we need to rebalance the add-ons that reduce the stun time around that. There is no way that Legion needs a longer stun than Nurse.

Most times I see Keys, it is because of a last second swap
That almost never happens to me. Rank 1 killer. Keys are rare in the first place, but usually if people are running keys they commit to it.
Keys are just about as common as Mori's
I disagree anecdotally, but I haven't done the math for purple keys versus green moris. Still, I can say definitively that ebony moris are about twice as common as pink keys because of how bloodweb rarity works. Killers only have 2 (Huntress) or 3 (everyone else) ultra rares that can spawn in the bloodweb, one of which is a mori. Survivors have 5, one of which is a key (and it used to be more than that when shards existed!). Killers also earn BPs faster, so they progress through bloodwebs faster, and accumulate Moris faster. Survivors may get to bring keys in multiple matches, so that would make back some of the difference, but usually it's a one and done; you'd either have to be using the right very rare add-on to save your key if you die / use it, or you'd have to escape without using it.
Maybe it's more common on Console, but the majority of times I see a Key, it is a last second swap or they find it in game, with the latter being extremely uncommon.
Again, just going off of my own experience, I see Mori's maybe once every twenty-ish games and I see Keys on a pretty similar basis. Not common at all, but definitely still present.

Doctor is a lot stronger than Legion. Those are the two killers I play the most and I play them in red ranks. Doctor is not a weak killer at all. Legion is much harder to play. It comes down to the fact for much of the game they are just an M1 killer. Their power doesn't help them down anyone at all. They can injure them and keep them injured but they have to m1 them to down them. Doctor's power is more versatile and his addons are stronger.
Of course. Doc is much stronger than Legion at high ranks thanks to his rework. I was merely remarking that they both absolutely decimate newer players/lower ranks because of their gameplay mechanics, but against experienced players, those things don't matter.

Keys are an essential part of the DbD gameplay. Besides them not having a great overall affect on most games (i see keys in about 1 percent of games I play), they bring another dynamic into the gameplay experience that would be absent without them.
The first thing it does is provide hope to the last 2-3 people left that maybe they just have to get one more gen done and they could possibly get hatch. Or if you are the last 2 people left because you had two console vegetables on your team, you are able to possibly have another way to escape. Keys bring another dynamic to gameplay. It makes survivor and killers both think differently and it allows another element into the gameplay.
This is along the lines of something like d-strike, which brings different interactions into the game, rather than just be tunneled from hook and downed and then rehooked. But we won't get into that because we have the very stable genius argument of "killer shunt be poohnished for dong objutcives", even though the last two years of nerfs on survivor have been literally punishing them for doing their objectives lol
It's not even like keys are overpowered and comparing them to moris is a terrible comparison. Keys could be countered. If a survivor is bringing a key into the trial, you are able to see that and bring in franklins demise, tunnel the person who brought in the key, or choose to just doge the lobby because a big, bad, spoopy key is coming into the game. I would love for the Devs to bring out actual hard numbers on how greatly keys affect the overall escape rates of the game. I guarantee they won't do that though because it would counter the "Survivors run this game and killers are persecuted while survivors get everything they desire." alternate reality that has been constructed on here by a very loud vocal minority of killer-mains and then facilitated by the mod squad.
I was going to respond and try to counter your point, but you alienated a majority of the community when you insulted Console players. I have found, in my MANY games, that Console Survivors and PC Survivors are almost exactly the same. PC Survivors are more likely to try to 360 me, while Console Survivors generally hear me coming and run away first. That's pretty much the only difference I can see.
Keys (and Mori's) are fundamentally imbalanced. Keys allow for a Survivor (or multiple Survivors) to escape in a scenario when they should have lost AND, it will likely force the Killer to lose Rank. It punishes the Killer for something completely out of their control. Likewise, Mori's punish Survivors for simply existing. Neither of these are healthy for the game, and they need to be changed.
Most times I see Keys, it is because of a last second swap. I simply do not have time to equip Franklin's Demise. If I try to tunnel the Key user out of the game, I lose, since I am not pressuring the other 3 people and, the Key is not destroyed. If I do nothing and play like normal, they will get out via Hatch, even if I close it.
Keys are not in every match, I am not sure I have ever heard ANYONE say that. Keys are just about as common as Mori's. You don't see a Mori every match, just like you don't see a Key every match. It usually falls to about 1/20 matches I'll see either a Key or a Mori. Regardless, the frequency of an item appearing has little to do with it's power. If Ebony Mori's only showed up once every 25 BloodWeb's, they'd still be OP.

You have just described how to win against every killer in the game without exception.
I do not share that opinion.
If you juggle correctly, Survivors WILL heal. It is possible to psychologically influence them to heal. I try to exploit this when I play Legion.
Monitor, Sloppy, PGTW and Corrupt.
Monitor and Abuse is the key to my build. It allows me to get closer than Survivors would like, allowing me to "sneak up" on them, which makes them want to heal.

To be fair, Legion is only crippled agaist the kind of survivors that could beat almost any killer. Otherwise, they're about as good as any other.
Disagree.
Legion has a very easily definable win condition. If the Survivors heal, you almost ALWAYS win. With most Killer's, it is usually in your benefit to heal, unless you are extremely confident in your looping abilities (which is not the caliber I am talking about, hence why I said decent.)
Legion is a basic M1 Killer without ANYTHING to help him without his power. Against Survivors who loop at an okay level and who do gens at a reasonable rate, he is totally crippled.
However, he stomps at lower ranks, just like Doctor.
-
I disagree. Old Legion was a HUGE problem. He wasn't a good Killer, but he was broken. Partially because of Deep Wounds, but also because of how his power worked.
That being said, I am NOT a fan of how he works now, he is basically crippled against decent Survivors, but it is LEAGUES better than what he started as.

Legion can be effective against good survivors depending on your build and how you use him.
Dont expect to 3 hook every survivor, you're gonna need to slug as well.
Disagree.
Legion's win condition depends on whether or not Survivors heal themselves. If they do, you usually win. If not, you usually lose as you are just an M1 Killer with no power.

It seems like the devs put most effort into making Demo true to Stranger Things rather than a good killer. Thinking back to when he was released, I don't remember him being popular for more than a week.
He isn't even true to Stranger Things tho. Demo would have more of an Old Freddy-ish power if it were true to the series.
He pulls people into the Upside-Down, but he himself is not limited to that dimension.

Agreed. In the recent survey I said he is the worst killer.
I dunno if he is the worst, but he definitely needs help.
Imo, Legion is basically useless against good Survivors.
Demo needs a complete rework, in my opinion. His Shred is alright, but it's really difficult to land and is honestly better as a bait. His Portals are cool and the sounds he makes are super atmospheric but are very detrimental to him.

Ahh yes because clearly you forget how ######### solo is and playing with friends makes the game fun. Not every swf is good. Coms doesnt make them better you sound like a bad killer. I was gonna be sympathetic but your replies here are just weird to me.
True, not every SWF is good, but they all have an inherent advantage that the game really isn't built around.
Even me and my casual SWF buddies usually escape simply because if someone is getting chased, we just hop on gens. If you were in Solo Q, you couldn't do that and it causes the Killer a massive detriment.
Buff Solo's to SWF levels, then buff Killer's accordingly.
-
I kinda see what he's saying.
Playing Legion (who is very low tier) at high ranks is a nightmare. Sometimes, tunneling the worst Survivor off is the only way you will have a chance at winning.
He seems inexperienced though and he likely got decimated the game before, so he decided to try a new strategy, which was to get rid of a Survivor ASAP. Your choice to bully him essentially just taught him that whether or not he plays fair, he'll get the same result, which is definitely NOT what you want to teach new players.
I would've gone about this way differently, but what's done is done.
-
No, this isn't bannable.
Slugging, camping or tunneling are not bannable offenses. If he were specifically targeting one person, then that would be bannable.

For me Borrowed Time is an important perk BUT it is not even close to balanced if compared what I have in mind to it, and I have a HUGE buff to the intended use and a HUGE nerf to the NOT intended use of the perk.
Problem right now: people can bodyblock for the unhooker eventhough you dont want to hit them you are forced to.
I would suggest following changes:
- IF the rescuer is full health then the first hit on the unhooked survivor is transfered to the rescuer not triggering deep wound on anyone and resets the timer for borrowed time again. If the unhooked survivor is hit the second time while MORE then 8m away from the rescuer the deep wound effect applies now BUT if the unhooked survivor is still inside 8m radius of the rescuer the protection effect is ignored and he goes into the dying state
- If the rescuer is injured then deep wound effect applies on the first hit (just like we have it now)
- Healing someone, selfhealing, unhooking or reparing will remove the protection effect.
- Borrowed time is triggered inside of 28m radius of the killer independend from his terror radius
- 1 - Optional: BT time is paused while in chase but shortened overall (this will still be exploitable by stealth killer BUT they can do it right now so this is a buff eather way.)
- 2 - Optional: Deep Wound is cancled imidiantly after unhooking, repearing or healing someone and results into dying state. Which means you can still do those stuff mentioned and the timer will deplet BUT if you stop it you go down imidiantly
What these changes above would achieve:
- Gives 2 protection hits instead of 1 IF the killer is REALY tunneling the survivor!
- Removes the ability to bodyblock against a killer who is NOT tunneling (because the hit is still transfered)
- Removes the abuse of the invurnarble status for progress gain
- 1 - Option: Would further more act against tunneling (waiting out BT)
- 2 - Option: Would prevent the Deliverance into BT into BT into BT (yes happened to me several times). And give a gamble aspect e.g. if you can do the generator in time to trigger your adrenalin to heal deep wound or you go down.
BTW: This change would still fit the name "Borrowed Time" perfectly because you also borrow the time from your teammate if you are tunneled! You even borrow twice the amount of time!
WHY: Because I hate that abuse of game mechanics! Borrowed time is there to defend not to attack but against me a non tunneling killer it is used to attack all the time. If I play fair I want to play a fair game too!
PLEASE DEVS! PLEASE!
Just make it time-based instead of basing it off of TR or distance.
If the Killer is within X distance for X seconds, BT will be able to proc.
This stops Survivors from being able to abuse BT by getting unsafe unhooks as the Killer is walking away, but it still allows it to be anti-camp AND it will affect Killers who can turn off their TR.
-
@GoshJosh said:
Coming from someone whose avatar is Freddy, I'm not in the least surprised you consider Borrowed Time abusable.
It definitely is tho.
Borrowed Time is meant to counter Killers who camp. However, due to the nerfs to Legion and subsequently to Deep Wound, Borrowed as become FAR better than it used to be.
Now, it will be used to facilitate unsafe unhooks (which are bad plays) and neither person can truly be punished for it.
Borrowed Time should be changed to "If the Killer remains with X distance of the Survivor for X seconds, Borrowed Time will be able to be activated." This counters Killer's who are actually camping AND it can counter no TR Killer's who get around Borrowed.

I might speed it up a little, but it's alright right now.

Like I said - DS is a one time use, PGTW can be used up to 11 times in a match. So it is quite obvious to me - the timer for DS should be longer than PGTW. People who complain are exaggerating.
Besides, you can't really compare these two perks, because they are very different, it's like comparing apples to oranges
How many times do you get 11 PGTW in a game? By the time you get 8-9 PGTW's, you've already won the game.
DS buys you more time than Pop does.
-
@LetsPlayTogether said:
And again we just ignore all relevance regarding DS usage and instead create some fake-facts so the pseudo-discussion can go on. Poor little biased killers.
What do you mean by that?
If you are suggesting we look at WHY DS is used so heavily and why it is almost always in a game, I think that'd be great. We just need to apply that to every perk.
However, as we have seen in the past, sometimes changes are made to perks without considering why it was used in the first place.

I would go as far as to say that DS should deactivate when the following occurs: The Survivor touches a gen, heals another Survivor or is healed and when another Survivor is hooked.

Shall we do an update that killers walk at 50% survivor speed and cant lunge anymore and non will have powers? no right? same thing, what survivor would want that, what point would there be in playing.
We play both sides and if you dont you have zero right of speaking.
But apart from all of that, stop constandly bringing up irrelevant "otherside" crap in a discussion about 1 thing.

It is completely fine to talk about it in relation to other perks since this nerf is actually happening. That is the difference between "we need to nerf keys, bUt WhAt AbOuT mOrI's?" and "Why isn't DS being nerfed if the reasons for nerfing PGTW apply to it?
It is totally fair for people to want answers as to why it is happening to one but not the other. Is it annoying with how many posts there are? Yeah, but it IS a big issue.

If it has been tried and doesn't work that's cool I'm curious as to how it worked and how it was abused?
The hook timer paused while the Killer was in a certain radius of the hooked Survivor, so naturally, it was abused, one Survivor loops near hook while the others do gens. Prevents the other person from ever going into Struggle or Dying and there wasn't anything the Killer could do.
This was about two-ish years ago I think.

R1 Legion main. My record is a 25 game 4K streak at R1 with him.
My build is usually as follows:
Sloppy~ Slows down healing. Mega important.
Corrupt Intervention~ Buys you time at the beginning of the game.
Pop Goes the Weasel~ Big time gen regression.
Monitor and Abuse~ Lowers your TR, which allows you to "sneak up" on Survivors, which will in turn, make them extremely likely to heal.
For add-ons I usually rock the Defaced Smiley Face pin to apply more Mangled and the Stolen Sketchbook, which allows you to Frenzy for longer.

Wraith is in a classical orchestra. He handles the bells.
-
I think Demo would do well in a screamo band.
-
I don't think this addresses any issues I have with DS or BT.
I'd simply change BT to be reliant on time instead of distance. Let's be real, most times BT procs, it's when Survivors unhook as the Killer is walking away. It facilitates unsafe unhooks (bad plays) but it rewards those bad plays.
DS is basically 60 seconds of immunity that doesn't actually stop tunneling at all. Make DS last for like, 30 seconds, but it remains active when you are in a chase, that way it actually counters tunneling. DS will also reset when someone else gets hooked, the user touches a gen, or the user is healed.
-
I mean, logistically speaking, the faster you can get the game to a 3v1 instead of a 4v1, the higher your chances of winning are.
If someone is a poor looper, and they don't have DS, it is absolutely in your best interest to kill them off quickly.
A comparison, if you will, would be if Survivors had 6 gens that took 80 seconds to complete and 2 that took 30 seconds to complete. Obviously, you'd want to strategically use those gens to make sure that you win. Same thing with tunneling off weak Survivors.
It sucks, especially for them, but it can be worth it sometimes.
-
I'm glad they are getting attention, but I am not sure if they will be good yet. I'll wait and see.

They won’t go crazy with the numbers because of the semi popular pairing of Thana + Dying Light
Perhaps, but Dying Light isn't all that good until the you get a few stacks. It isn't a perk that will help you win imo, it will just help you win harder, if that makes sense.

Not sure how I feel about this. I think it is very likely that Thana will not be buffed enough to compensate for the lack of heal speed reduction.

I mean, it's your choice. I think about the other side. If I don't like getting t-bagged at every pallet and at Exit Gates, Survivors probably don't like being tunneled to death and being facecamped.
I will do what I need to do to win, but that doesn't mean I cannot take other people's fun into consideration.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
-
Because it isn't fun.
I play a lot of Killer and a lot of Survivor, and tunneling, slugging and camping isn't fun for anyone. There are points where it is required of the Killer if they want to win, but I've seen that most Killers try to avoid it.

I did my best to not let him stalk me, it was Azarov's Resting Place. It was maybe three or so minutes into the match, he only had one hook so far. I got the unhook, and he came right back and instantly killed me.
Are you a killer main with no knowledge of how difficult/slow it is for solo survivors to earn BP?
I actually play more Survivor than Killer.
I usually average about 19K-21K BP as a Solo Survivor. 5K BP means you got the unhook, did maybe half a gen and died.
It would've been a Purple Tombstone, if it was an Iri Tombstone, then your team was kinda bad because there is no way he should be getting that in such a short period of time.
