Considering how tall Myers is in game, he resembles the Rob Zombie version physically. The original Myers was big, but he wasn't, like, a giant.
In all seriousness, it's probably the Halloween (1978) version of Michael Myers. I'd love to see the Halloween 2 bloody mask Myers tho

I am certainly interested, thanks for the tag!
Do you think this will come to the Xbox One/PS4 as well, or only to the PS5 and Series X?

Say what? I've been well north of 100 FPS even before upgrading to my 3080, let alone after.
I've heard that DBD is widely inconsistent on PC.
I've heard of some people with 1080 TI's struggling to run DBD and then other with 1050's having no problem.

I still need them to fix current gen :( I can't afford any new consoles and probably won't get them for a few years.

Why survivors especially red ranks keep using dead hard when it 2020 and killers already know that you have dead hard like it too predictable and same goes for sprint burst but not for head on and lithe so again why keep using it if it doesn't work anymore like the old time did.
Dead Hard for distance is still EXTREMELY good. Even if Dead Hard only worked 50% of the time, the ability to dodge a hit is worth it.
Sprint Burst is eh to me. You are kinda right. It's easy to see if they have it and it's easy to counter.
Head On isn't a good perk. It's fun to use, but it objectively hurts you.
Lithe is alright, but you are likely to get hit thru a vault when you try to activate it.

Dang. Thats what It felt like. Living survivors made me sad. But even 2 kills I got were undeniably bittersweet. When the survivors are this this good and, this coordinated its no contest. It felt like they orchestrated it. They find out what you are, immediately understand your limitations, and f**k all after that. You're a toy now. Its thier game and you're only chance at a real kill is stick close to a hooked vic and feel campy. and by God I tried, but I always walked away a little to far trying to lure out the rescue squad, because too far away was the only way to shake em the hell out.
I understand. If I may, I would like to offer some advice.
I've been playing for two years now. On almost every Killer, top tier Survivors WILL toy with you. Eventually, they get to be good enough at the game that they don't really feel any sort of apprehension around the Killer, which allows them to make extremely risky, but ultimately excellent plays.
The absolute best thing you can do in that sort of situation is to keep a clear head. Look at it as a learning experience, as hard as that may be. Watch what they do, how they move. Next time, they may find you are better prepared than they anticipated.
Personally, I main Legion. Legion is NOT a strong Killer, especially in the top tiers of play. I am pretty used to that sort of play at this point, and to be clear, there isn't anything wrong with it. I have found that while they may not be apprehensive of Legion, they will absolutely be apprehensive of an unpredictable player. So, I try to surprise them. I make my pathing weird, I slug for two downs, then when they think I'll keep slugging, I go back to hooking immediately and catch them off guard. Sometimes, you gotta get in their heads.
If you'd like anymore tips, I can try to give some pointers on my stream tomorrow, if you'd like.

You worded it better than me. Personally I think the survivor ranking system needs some tweaks to sort red ranks out.
Chase performance needs to have more weight in terms of pipping/ranking up.
Precisely.
I'll be the first to admit, I do not belong in Red Ranks as a Survivor. I have trouble looping, but because I stay on gens and rescue teammates, I'm pretty much guaranteed to pip or safety almost every match.
-
Out of all the PC Killer's I've played against, two have had NOED. I think I've played at least 50 matches against PC Killer's.
-
@Yamaoka said:
Let's be real: About 50% of red rank survivors play like yellow rank survivors in terms of looping and decision making. No wonder every killer wins consistently. You literally just have to walk in a straight line and tap M1 to "outplay" most red rank survivors.
DBD desperately needs a tutorial for both sides - a REAL tutorial that covers looping and counterplay for every killer power.
I don't even want to play solo survivor anymore because most people get downed in 10-20 seconds consistently.
While technically an exaggeration, what you said has legitimate merit.
One of the reasons for the disparity of skill amongst Red Ranked Survivors is the Ranking system. It is simply too easy to pip as Survivor and that allows a lot of Survivors who should be in Green Ranks to be in Red Ranks.
This negatively affects both Killers and Survivors. Survivors get teammates who don't really belong in the Rank they are in, and Killers get some EXTREMELY easy games, and immediately following, get destroyed by Survivors who know what they are doing.
-
In short, yes, this is a product of the game dragging on for a long time.
For the long answer, the reason why you got so many points is because of Late Game Actions. Hooks that occur after the Exit Gates are opened are worth MUCH more than hooks before the gates were opened. Additionally, due to the Survivors sort of meme'ing around, you liekly got a lot of hits, which probably maxed out your score in the Brutality category.
You also probably threw a lot of bottles, since you were Clown, and that probably maxed out your Deviousness category.
Hunting category is pretty easy to max out, so I'm sure you got that too.
The only category you didn't get as many points as you could've was in Sacrifice, because obviously, you didn't sacrifice everyone.
Also, a 2K Average (or something close to it) is what the Devs consider to be the ideal game, and therefore, what they attempt to keep in mind while balancing.
-
Probably Demogorgon or Legion.
Demo has a lot of add-ons that work, but aren't useful.
Legion has add-ons that don't work AND add-ons that aren't useful.

I was just wondering, since I went against a bunch of Survivors who were not happy when they found out Clown has Exhaustion add-ons today, I merely wondered if you were one of them.

I’m not talking about accidentally losing someone and having them bleed out, or slugging someone a couple of times and their timer naturally expiring, or survivors who crawl into a corner with no hooks on purpose. I’m talking about killers who down someone, and then stand over their downed body for several minutes until they bleed out.
Why is this acceptable to the devs? It serves absolutely no purpose except to grief someone. It’s rude, it’s toxic and it has no justification in terms of game mechanics. So why is this not bannable?
And please don’t say “well you’ll bleed out eventually”. I don’t think that’s a good justification to allow griefing behaviour. If someone has video evidence of a killer doing this, when it’s clear that they could easily hook the survivor but refuse to, I don’t see how it can possibly be justified.
It is a part of the game and there is no way to determine ill intent.
-
Legion/Clown/Blight.
That's the current rotation of pain.

Did you happen to play against a Exhausted add-on Clown today?

I haven't ever to my knowledge :(

Yes, I have. I can turn my camera at the same standard rate as a PC.
The issue is that a mouse can flick and analog sticks cannot.
The sensitivity is the same, but the ability of the input device is not.

But Dead Hard is fine as it is? Lol.
The bottom line is that original MoM was fine. It was a one time use with a downside of the killer seeing your aura if you healed yourself afterword.
Killers just went ape about it because it was a strong perk. Dead Hard which gives you at least 3 free hits is much stronger than original MoM. Especially when multiple players on a team equip it.
Dead Hard is fine because it does have counterplay in most situations. I think Dead Hard for distance is dumb, but most of the time you are using it to dodge a hit. You can either make a right read and be rightfully rewarded, or you can make a bad read and go down.
With old MoM, that was not the case at all. You CANNOT avoid hitting Survivors. MoM is going to proc in 99/100 games. There is no read to make on Mettle of Man, there is nothing the Killer can to do prevent it, unless you count running a slug build as a viable strategy.
If old MoM comes back, we immediately see a new meta. Dead Hard, DS, Unbreakable (or Soul Guard) and MoM. Nobody wants that.
-
@DCisLIFE said:
Mettle of Man should be unnerfed. So many tunneling and face camping killers these days that work around anti tunnel perks. There were ways around this and other factors that have reduced its effectiveness. Not to mention that NOED cancels it out.
Yeah, no.
MoM rewarded bad plays and there was no way around it with 90% of Killer's.

They did an optimization patch before at least once. The thing is they don't optimize enough for new or future content. If you can just get one of the newer consoles and it SHOULD be better.. Hopefully for the sake of the console players. I stopped playing there a year ago and have never looked back. My PS pro Li's a glorified video streaming machine for when I'm in bed now
The base Xbox One and PS4 run CoD: MW at 45 FPS consistently.
DBD looks nothing like MW, there is zero reason DBD on Console can't hit a STABLE 30 FPS.

Thats not an accurate comparison. And if I have a smooth framerate it doedoeSnt matter because ANALOGS DONT HAVE THE SAME PRECISION!!! Do you understand yet? I am ONLY talking about huntress right now. Who needs good frames to get kills I do fine as a console player, and frames never screwed me over as huntress. Although my limited sensitivity and control of aim has.
"also the fps does not decide how much accuracy "
You brought up the discussion of FPS not affecting accuracy, not me.
The sensitivity on Console is the same as PC as of a few patches ago. The only thing we don't have is the ability to flick. Not super useful on Huntress, just makes for cool clips, but it's vital on Killer's like Oni.
-
@Komodo16 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1735042#Comment_1735042
That's wrong though, aim assist is in m1 not aiming with ranged weapons. And also the fps does not decide how much accuracy a analog
So, you'll have the same accuracy at 5 FPS as 120?
-
@Komodo16 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1733901#Comment_1733901
Cod and battlefield have had years of adding slight aim assist and fine tuning to aiming so its not clunky. And is NOT near that. Huntress on console is hard, not because frames but because I cant have a whole wrist flick of movement that I can control but I have to flick my analog which lacks precision. This has been proven time and time again which is why analog extenders exist
DBD also has a form of aim assist.
If the FPS was equal, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between PC and Console Huntress players.

Good points. I would wager part of the problem is that they have been preparing for the new consoles over the old ones since that is going to be the norm moving forward. From a business standpoint it just makes sense to optimize for the future. All these lower quality consoles will phase out over time.
Considering the pandemic, I would imagine that most people's financial situation is not the greatest. So the new Comsole's probably won't be AS popular.
-
Disagree.
The problem is not the controller's, but rather the FPS.
People have ZERO problem being amazing at CoD or Battlefield on Console. The issue is that they are simply given less time to react to new information.
When my game literally freezes when someone uses Dead Hard, even if I predict the Dead Hard, I cannot capitalize on what was a good read because the game is poorly optimized on Console.
I am sympathetic to the Devs plight, many things to do and not enough time to do them, but it is really discouraging and disheartening to see that Console's haven't really gotten that much love, even though it was promised years ago.

This will probably be a unpopular opinion but I still think the halloween franchise is a bit overrated
The rest of the movies? Yeah, Halloween II was alright, not super great, but it wasn't bad.
Halloween 3-6 were awful. I still have that stupid Silver Shamrock song in my head.
H20 wasn't super awful.
Resurrection was terrible.
Rob Zombie movies were awful.
Halloween 2018 was good.

Halloween (1978) is, in my opinion, far and away the best movie.
It wasn't the first in the slasher genre, but it was extremely successful and showed that those movies could be mainstream.

Last part isn't entirely correct. Nurse has a 4 second stun if she blinks twice... and misses. You know why? Bad plays are punished. So why does Legion get the brutal 4 second stun no matter how he plays?
I thought she had a 4 second stun if she uses three blinks and misses, since each chain blink adds .5 seconds onto her stun.
-
I'll support it if it means Legion will get fixed.
He isn't super fun to play as or against.
Frank's Mixtape is still useless.
Stab Wound Study is still useless.
Killer Instinct Add-Ons are awful.
He has a longer stun than Nurse.
-
The Demogorgon says no, all of his perks are mid at best.
-
There are innumerable reasons that balancing solely off of statistics is a bad idea.
For example, a reason for your current complaint may be that Survivor is simply too easy to rank up as. A Red Ranked Killer, generally, cannot be boosted to that Rank and the pip requirements are pretty strict, to the point where a 2K is likely a Safety or De-Pip, depending on how fast gens were done.
As Survivor, you can be boosted by SWF and the pip requirements are not extremely hard. So long as you have one or two decent chases, do a gen or two (or be chased while someone else is doing gens) and rescue a single teammate, odds are, you are going to at least safety. It's pretty easy to get to Red Ranks as Survivor.
This causes a HUGE skill disparity between Survivors and Killers at Red Ranks since the Survivors should be in Purple or Green Ranks, and the Killers generally do not. Then, when Killers encounter Red Rank Survivors who actually have the skill to be there, they get stomped, hence why there are people, such as yourself, that believe Killer to be OP, and other people believe Survivor to be OP. We cannot know for sure until people play against others at their own skill level.
MMR was supposed to fix this and settle the debate, but it came with its own massive problems.
-
I would say if you give PC Killers and Console Killers the same equipment and an equal playing field, some Console Killers might come out ahead, simply because they've had to adapt to massive disadvantages.
That being said, I don't really think one is better than the other, but I am way more scared of a PC Nurse than a Console Nurse. Likewise, I am far more scared of a Console Trapper than a PC Trapper (sorry Otz) because in my experience, Console Trapper's place their traps in WEIRD spots and it gives me anxiety.

I personally like Demo as he is. Likely made me rather biased towards not changing him, but Demo is a Killer that I can do well with that doesn't feel unfair or unfun for Survivors. There is always a give/take or a pro/con to playing Demo and I see that as a healthy thing for gameplay. Demo and Billy are my favorite Killers because they don't give a damn about letting Survivors know they are there and can use negative stealth.
I don't really care about giving out too much information when I plan on taking advantage of when Survivors start to ignore it. Negative stealth has its own uses and strengths compared to true stealth.
It is good that you like him, but I kinda see him in a similar position to Old Freddy. Not nearly as weak, but most people just aren't going to touch him. The amount of time and skill put in does not equal the output he is capable of.
Basically, Demogorgon is hard to pick up and hard to master, but doesn't really offer much reward for that. His Portals are lackluster, his stealth (like you said) is abysmal and his Shred is better to use as a bait than as an actual ability.
Nurse is extremely hard to pick up and extremely hard to master, but she has a MASSIVE payoff.
Billy is hard to pick up, hard to master, but has a big payoff.
The only "top tier" Killer that doesn't follow that formula is Freddy.

Well,he's just harder to play than other killers which explains the lower pick and kill rate.
I would rather say killers like wraith or legion are pretty bland because those killers can't do anything exciting or interesting with their powers.Demo with his shred however is able.
I would say why fix something that isn't broken?
Wraith and Legion are good at lower Ranks and are easy to pick up and learn and Wraith is completely free, but Legion is Shard DLC.
Demo is difficult to learn, very difficult to use (on Console) and he is paid DLC.
He shouldn't be bland. I simply want him to have a fun and exciting power that is more in line with what Stranger Things has shown the Demogorgon to be capable of.

Hmm,him being unfun for you is just your opinion.
There are a lot of people, including me,that have a lot of fun playing him.
Changing his power isn't necessary
Most people seem to agree with me, considering he is the least played paid DLC character.
He is incredibly bland when compared to Freddy, Pig, Myers, GhostFace and Leatherface.
His Kill Rate also isn't super great either, which generally means he isn't that great against good Survivors.
Changing his power isn't NECCESSARY, but it would be nice.

Don't thinks so.
His base power is perfectly fine and very effective in my opinion.
The only thing he needs is an addon rework
Disagree.
His power is balanced, but it isn't super fun. I'd also like to see him more accurate to the show, maybe operating like a blend between Old Freddy and New Freddy.
Either way, I saw a suggestion to make his portals expand and corrupt the surrounding area with the Upside-Down and I REALLY like that idea.

@Chewy102 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1708103#Comment_1708103
I use tunnels to cut off loops as well as travel. It makes me predictable once Survivors know where the tunnels are, but it forces Survivors to react to them.
3 tunnels are used ASAP to lay out a base network. Out of sight from gens, inside good loops to prevent their use, and they serve to direct Survivors to the same used/dead areas. At least 1 gen gets 2 tunnels though. 1 I dont hide, the other I do. The rest are saved for as needed. Post hooking, reacting to Surveillance, adjusting for finished gens, ect.
Odds are someone will get "smart" and start removing tunnels. I like those "smart" Survivors! They waste so much time and allow me to replace old worthless tunnels. And as said, if no one removes my tunnels I gain map pressure from traveling and limiting where Survivors can loop. It's a win/win.
As the game goes on STBFL ramps my pressure, Surge/Surveillance gets more value, and Survivors need to deal with me instead of me dealing with them.
That's the strength of Demogorgon. He synergizes so well with so much. Buff his base kit or addons, and those synergies just become too much. But that's also his weakness. Without those synergies, Demo is kinda meh.
If nothing else. Demogorgon is as cute as a puppy!
I just feel like Demo is a jack of all trades, master of none sort of Killer. I think that really hurts him. His Shred is best used as a bait ability, and on Xbox at least, it kills FPS. His portals are alright, but everyone knows when he uses them and the Oblivious status doesn't silence his loud footsteps.
I always envisioned him being a blend of Old Freddy and New Freddy, where he could pull Survivors into the Upside-Down, but he would also be able to hit them while they weren't. The Upside Down would offer debuffs as an incentive to get out, which would be accomplished from either leaving through a randomly generated Portal, using one of Demo's Portals, or having another Survivor stand in the same place in the "real world" and drag you out.
-
I REALLY like the last idea. I love the idea of the Upside Down corrupting parts of the map!
-
No, I didn't play SWF .
-
I started the game in November of 2018 and I think I hit Rank 1 for the first time in May of 2019 on Killer. I hit Rank 1 Survivor in July of 2019.
Realistically, I am a Rank 1 Killer but my Survivor Rank is probably closer to Rank 7 than to Rank 1.

Iridescent shards are a free way to get 4/6 of the new skins
Never Stop Slashing not having mask animations despite the fact it is possible to implement such (look at Oni f/e) and is missing a lot of details from the sketch everybody voted for (like colour of the coat)
Its a acknowledged sound bug which might actually become a feature to make spirit have to actually play the game
Discordance was a weird one I will give you that
Their main focus was and still is pc, but right now they are planning a head and working on next gen
Just because its event only now doesn't mean that isn't subject to change if community feedback is strong enough, such as plundering ultra rare items from chests or keeping bloody party streamers and escape cakes/pudding
Macmillan maps generation is bugged. They can only play so many matches with their small team of course if you generate a map a million times rather than 20-30 there can be bugs
Groaning storehouse borderline OP window, just drop chase or pick a killer with a power or perks that plays around it
Shelter woods are still shelter woods, thats the design they want if they wanted to add more to the map they would have
Thanatophobia phobia nerfed more than buffed ok, the idea was to still incentives survivors to heal having a perk that is slowdown on top of slowdown is a bit much
We are going to live forever having less amount of ways to earn tokens (Head On saves don't give tokens f/e) this one is a weird one they scuffed it a bit but having a secondary effect finally is nice
Pyramidhead nerf that horribly crippled him and his camera, oh no pyramid head has to actually play the game now, at least they made his power faster which lets you try more interesting plays
Killer having weird models and animations when spawning in the trial this doesn't even affect gameplay it just shows what the first person model actually looks like from 3rd person which is more interesting then anything harmful
most of these complaints are honestly just nitpicking to try and complain about something
The majority of players are likely on Console.
There should not be loops that you cannot chase around else you lose the match. These are called "god loops" or "infinites" and should not be in the game.
Thana already wasn't good, I get that they need to balance it with other slowdown perks in mind, but seriously, it got nerfed.
