From the guy who thinks T-Bagging is justified simply because killers do what they must to win, I wouldn't have put it past you to make such a false statement.
You gain points camping if it ends up securing a kill you otherwise wouldn't have gotten. If you're going up against an unhookable squad, trading the points lost camping for the additional hook states of a single survivor, and possible additional downs from overly-altruistic survivors is a net-gain for killers.
I never said t-bagging was justified. I only meant that if you're going to have the attitude that "I'm going to play how I want no matter what' prepare to deal with consequences. That is all I meant.
I don't think stating that you lose points is a false statement when it is true that yes, you lose proximity points. That's what I was talking about.
And I still mean what I said, maybe find a different game. If I can 4k without being a douche, it's highly probable you can too.

Camping and tunneling are legitimate grief. You are preventing a player from having genuine interaction. You give them no time to prepare for a fair chase, and that's just assuming you're playing a balanced killer. Ik people are going to blow their load and say "oh well I don't have to give u a fair match", and I find that to be hilarious. Killers will write entire posts explaining how they're going to quit because a survivor did something mean. Or a survivor used something they don't like.
The "I don't have to give you a fair match" saying only goes as long as the person saying it has the advantage. When they lose the advantage, then it's not fair. When they're on the receiving end then it's a problem. The people who regurgitate this are the same ones writing posts about how survivor is op. The ones who swear killers have nothing going for them, so they, the victims of bhvr's favoritism, have to run full meta perks and ridiculous add-ons to compete with solo survivors.
Killer main btw. Some of you probably won't believe that, though. Mostly because I don't sit here and whine about how unfair the game is instead of getting better at it. Killers have it pretty easy with a lot of the stuff you can bring in.
Killer main here too, btw. I don't complain because I feel like we've got our own advantages. For example: We are faster and we can hit them.

Yes, killers should just play nice distributing hooks equally and let survivors open the gates before getting a single kill, just to be t-bagged at the exit anyway.
Yeah, no one said that.

Mine was a joke. This happens to me sometimes after getting destroyed for a few matches i get babies. Feels ######### against new players 4 me. But from statistic view 3 4k and 3 0k are 2k... sooo
That makes sense too, then.
II switched characters, played a couple 2ks, then got this again:

Obviously you are a very bad killer and just don´t know it. The kills are pure luck... everytime.
I mean I don't know if I'm bad or good and I don't know how I'm supposed to know when I keep getting matches like these.

This happened in the past when the were running tests and changing the algorythm.
It might be they're tweaking something on the backend and doing tests in your region/platform.
Oh okay. That at least makes sense.

And "play how you want" stops when you're actually harming other people.
Comparing flashlight macros to camping is a ridiculous false equivalence.
I never said macros. The equation stands.

Its really not tho... thats kinda the point being made here. Unless the macro is being used it's perfectly fine for them to do it.
It's kind not though. Point not made.

Okey then we are on the same page I think sometimes survivors just want to complain in end chat even when there is nothing to complain about.
But since the topic is open what are you're thoughts about hag I mean it's in the very nature of her power to "camp" of some kind
I think you're fine with the Hag. If someone tries to unhook right in front of my face of course I'm going to go for them...that's just cocky overconfident behavior that I will not reward. It's even less so with the Hag, where it's not even in front of her face, where she has to teleport and only if she's not caught up doing something else. I think you're fine.
-
@Starrseed said:
One thing I want to ask is when does camping starts for you apart from the very obvious face camp of course.
I ask because I had many games where in the end chat I got acused of camping when I just needed to pass the hook cause I checked one side of the map and need to pass you to get to the other side happens often on midwich or when I clearly see two survs sneaking to the hook when I turn around after hooking
If you're standing there looking at the person, from up close or a close distance, in my book you are camping. I have to pass by survivors on hooks occasionally on my way to patrol generators. I don't like to though, because again, you lose points. The only time I find it acceptable is if you've spotted another survivor in the area and you are in the area actively looking for that survivor. (Again, not standing staring at the hook)
Have continued to be camped by:
-Legion
-The Trapper

Why not camp when you can run to your multiple boons and heal?
Camping and tunneling is cause and affect. At least in my games.
Because you gain points from multiple boons and healing? Because it's built in to be an accepted part of the game?

Its only bad if they are using the macro. Otherwise they can do it all they want. Its their flashlight.
Edited for clarity.
Still doesn't change the face that they're a dick.

Not the same thing. Teabagging doesn't complete gens.
I didn't say they were....? I just said to remember "I play how I wanna play" they next time they're getting t-bagged. You have confused me. Explain yourself if you'd like.

I don't think that's an effective strategy, it's just an annoying background noise.
If it's effective, it's because it's triggering photosensitivty in other people. Which is a bit beyond kind of being a dick and into "things that should be obliged to not happen because actually hurting people is not on in a game".
But it works. So people do it. Even though they know it makes them out to be a dick. They don't care because they "Play how they want."
Also, if you don't think camping is annoying among it's other issues, you are mistaken.
-
I just want to say this and then I'll shut up for a while:
If you're a killer that can't win without camping...maybe this game isn't for you? You actually LOSE points for doing so. Maybe try something else?
-
@foxsansbox said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2677763#Comment_2677763
Yeah. Killers wouldn't know anything about being personally slighted in this game. It's a foreign concept to them.
The majority of killers will do whatever it takes to get that first kill, otherwise the game is unwinnable. We're not here to play the way you want us to play.
Remember that the next time you are getting t-bagged.
-
One blatantly obvious. Who knows how many others.
-
@cantelope said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2677763#Comment_2677763
No it's just playing the game you signed up for. Dbd is a game where there is a chance you can get ejected in the first few minutes through legal and fair play.
I'm sorry you lost, but you weren't anymore personal attacked then when you strike out. The pitcher has no obligation to pitch slower so you can get a hit. The killer has no obligation to make sure you get a long game.
Survivors have no obligation not to flick their flashlights at you to death, which is an effective strategy at distracting you, yet doing so is kind of being a dick, don't you think?
-
Well, it happened again. I'm so frustrated. Hit a Meg once, circle a car, hit her again, makes the sound and everything that she should be down but...nope. I feel like I'm losing my mind. To anybody who think's they haven't met a cheater yet: You just haven't met an obvious one yet.

I think the perk itself needs a nerf. It's strong which I like but I do think it's too strong and hurts a lot of killers. Thankfully there are easy ways to nerf it to be fair and without killing it like how most killers want it be. There are two ways to balance it.
1. Don't let it stack with other healing perks or Medkits
This is the main problem that makes it op imo. Why didn't they do this in the beginning is beyond me
2. Slightly lower the healing speed to 90 or 80%.
Lowering the speed most likely wouldn't make it bad. 90% Increase healing speeds are still really strong.
That is all that needs to be done. Do this and it more fair. Im not going into changing boons themselves because that's another discussion but I think this is the best way to make it more balanced. What do you think?
I think these are fine points, and I agree whole-heartedly. The most frustrating thing to me as a killer, is finding out that I had the ability to snuff them, only to have them bless them again ten seconds later. That's frustrating.

I recall your thread, and yeah - if it's how you say it was, then that sucks.
However, the system needs to be like this because DCs ruin matches and are still too common.
It's not about how much you play. It's about how many matches you finish relative to matches you DC in.
I kept track, like I said I would. On average, I play about 3 games an hour. On average, I play from 6am to 10pm. This average is based on the past three days. So....36 hours? 108 matches? How many times did I disconnect? Once.
ETA: Based on my experience, playing as often as I do, a 30 minute ban comes after about 3-4 d/c. It goes 3, 5/6, 10/12/15/,20/30
-
@Solisd1 said:
Its not fair every time its a glitch or a lostconnection i get banned for almost a half hour!!
I feel for you. It sucks. I've been banned for up to 72-hours. The ban penalty is too strict. I play a lot of matches in a short amount of time and just a few disconnects can add up shortly, not a lot as some may otherwise think. If someone rage quits ever five matches, but only plays those matches two days of the week well then of course they're going to have the whole week for their penalty to cool down. I'm sorry you got banned. I wish the penalty wasn't like this.

Ghostface. Having the ability to crouch and stalk is so satisfying.

Dear Survivors:
I don't know why I felt the need to t-bag each and every one of you while you helplessly hung from the hook. I don't know what is wrong me. I feel bad.

She was nerfed pretty hard and the recent patches have all added more ways for survivors to counter her. She's fine in low mmr but if you get good with her swfs will give you a bad time. They haven't done anything to buff her lately which she desperately needs. I still play her but it's almost impossible to win against a good team who knows how to counter her these days.
Ah. I used to play her quite a bit, but figured I was just bad with her because I never won. Now I play Pinhead and almost always 4k.

Nice post : D
To put people in cages as pyramid head, they need to running or walking (not crouching) in your rites of judgement trails. You can hold the power button to continue to carve trails until your power gauge runs out. When survivors do this, they get tormented, which means you can send them to a cage when they are in the dying state.
THANK YOU!

I thought this, because I started playing with a controller after playing other games on consoles mostly. Once you get the hang of it, it's surprisingly easy to use K&M and whilst it doesn't make a huge difference as a survivor (looping is better with K&M though), it does make a difference playing killer. I use a controller right now because I have a bad shoulder and it's just impossible for me to play otherwise, but I would much rather K&M.
Huh. I guess I'll have to test it out and see.
-
I downloaded it since it was free. I'll play it on pc when I get a better one, but no way I'll ever get used to a mouse and keyboard. I will always have to use a controller.

Dear SWF,
I feel horrible. I did not realize you were beginners. I thought I was just really good. I should have known better. I'm really sorry for not taking it easy on you.
