My soloQ build that carried me alot is Overzealous, Inner Strength, Prove Thyself, Detective's Hunch
Sorry booners...
-
Nurse, she's so bad that most games vs her I face in soloQ someone disconnects
-
Survivor: don't really have a main, I have pre-made builds on most survivors which I switch often, but I started playing Jake when I first started and he was always my fav out of the original 4. Love Cheryl, Feng, Felix and Dwight too
Killer: clown, ghostface, bubba, I switch them often when I play so again, don't really have a 'main'
-
Open handed is slept on.
With kindred or bond it gives insane info, with bond you basically have wallhacks, and are able to judge and see where everyone is, killer and survivor. Kindred is also great, but it requires someone on hook ,but still it provides great info.It also works with any aura related perks, and addons ( keys ,maps)
My personal fav build with it is bond, kindred, visionary, openhanded, it's a meme, but super chill to play, knowing where everyone is, and where each gen on map is located.
-
Nothing like reading complaints about soloQ; coming from nurse main, most likely playing with BiS perks/addons/offerings
-
I love running infectious fright on her because of info and it can interrupt box searches, kinda dirty but hey
Usually I just put on something to help me in chase, and some info, she doesn't need that much slowdown especially since last patch
-
If I hear hatch on my way to hook last survivor and you weren't toxic, then I'll usually give it to them. Especially if they were good sports and was rough game.
-
Bring back or make it more atmospheric. I play on ultra even though it's a disadvantage most of times, and with full volume because sound design is one of best parts about this game. Playing soloQ without info perks versus ghostface, mikey, or any killer with stealth or tinkerer can still make me jump and I love that! It's as if they forgot that it's supposed to be horror game, but it's more like horror comedy most of times
-
These threads never fail to make me laugh, not sure if troll or legit, but so funny coming from Nurse main, who I'm going to assume always sweats 100% and brings only the top % of addons, perks or even map offering to 'make it more fair'
Give me a break, Legion just got slightly adjusted and his addons made more interesting, if you think Legion is in any way overpowered I just have to accept it as a legit troll, or we're not playing the same game.

Even after thousands of hours I still get anxious when I wanna que up as killer. Often I would get into menu screen ,think of maybe playing killer, and just go like 'nah, not worth the stress'. Or when I enter the trial only to realize about minute in, 'yep, this is a lost game' then I have to entertain some kids who are sweating over discord, abusing maps and broken perk combos.SWF has always been a problem, but last months it became almost unbearable for me.
Sometimes I just wanna relax and play a game or two after work, but this game is anything but, whether you play surv soloQ or killer, same meta perks, items and addons on both sides ,most of the time it's only top% of strongest loadouts, and it got boring and stale.
-
on survivor bond, kindred, open handed, visionary/detective's hunch, it's legal wallhacks and super fun
on killer I love running pallet builds, my fav being brutal strength, bamboozle, fireup or stbfl, surge/pop, enduring/spirit fury is my guilty pleasure, but it's kinda predictable imo
playing non-stealth killers as ones, my fav build is on using tinkerer, dark devotion, trail of torment/monitor, ruin/corrupt or some other perk to slow the gens a bit
Been having a blast with playing courlophobia, deathbound, thanatophobia/sloppy, hysteria on clown, usually with mangled addon so I can use thanatophobia, it often catches ppl offguard, esp in indoor maps
It's only a shame that most of 'fun' builds don't stack well against survivors bringing their strongest builds/items
-
Hate to admit ,but if I get rough map or first chase takes too long, then yes I must camp first hook stage if I want to win, I try out of my way not to tunnel that person then, but it's much easier knowing I only have to catch them once after few minutes, it's a scummy strat and I hate when I'm at the receiving end, but often it feels like the only option if you want to have a shot at winning.
-
I love running sloppy on most of my M1 killers, despite CoH existing, it still often adds up and can be huge when it comes to those last second heals
-
playing vs a nurse is in general one of most boring things to do in this game, especially if you're soloQ and not coordinated like tryhard swf, most games I see people dc or suicide vs nurse, and I don't even blame them, I don't get how can people find it fun to play obviously broken killer, it feels super cheap and undeserved
-
dead hard, I don't know how, but it's way overused and basically 3rd healthstate too often
-
because they can, and game encourages it
-
Nurse main had a rough game it seems
-
If there's something unfun, unbalanced about the game, we as consumers who paid for the game have every right to complain.
However changes come very slowly, and when they do it's often overnerfing something ( billy, freddy, deathslinger ), while barely buffing others ( wakeup, vigil, buckle up lol), which results in people running same builds over and over again on both sides.
Every blight is running alchemist ring, every nurse recharge addons because why not, same for survivors, stacking 2nd chance perks with strong medkits is only way to counter it, esp if you're soloQ. Things haven't changed much or will, because devs are too afraid to change much so to not upset majority of players who complain about everything in game. Kind of like how I'm doing now I suppose, and the cycle continues...

I legit don't run Dead Hard anymore because of how crutch it is, it makes the games so much easier, often giving me unfair advantage when I get outplayed. There is a reason why it's being run by majority of survivors, it's simple to use and downright unfair most of the time. I'm convinced if they took out dead hard for a while out of the game, it would show who's good at survivor and who's not because you wouldn't be able to play so cocky anymore, which is most annoying thing to face as a killer. Loading into a match vs whole team stacking dead hard, circle of healing, decisive ,unbreakable, usually with styptics and brand new parts. And if you use discord and map offerings, it's borderline cheating. What can you do as a killer in that situation, other than try to 'outplay' them by bringing broken addons, strongest slowdown you can and by playing same few strong killers. I've been facing blights in majority of my matches to the point I started being excited when I see someone playing anything else. Really sad that the same thing will happen with the new killer, she's gonna be played a bit at the start, but because she's not nurse or blight, she can't compete with an average survivors running same builds for years now and acting like it's a skill when they escape. It isn't.
-
4k hours of soloQ.
It's not as bad as people make it out to be. People make mistakes, I do all the time, sometimes it's easy escape, other times it's a stomp.
MMR often pairs me with newbier players, but I don't mind, we were all new at some point, I've seen people with much less hours do amazing plays both killer and survivor. It's just a game, it's only as frustrating as you let it be to you.
-
When I make a build, I go usually with having some info (bond, kindred, aftercare), some kind of exhaustion, or something to help in chase a bit, some kind of healing, I run pharmacy alot because I have to open every chest I see, and last one being up to you really, I like running something to help my team a bit, like prove thyself or bt. Also medkits are busted with certain combinations of addons and perks, basically giving you 5th perk
-
As flawed as it was, pip system was better at filtering out newbies and ppl who know a thing about the game. Too many times I get paired with ppl who barely have double digit hours, it's painful to see them crouch at every sound and sight ( also kind of adorable ngl )
-
Aftercare, esp if my team knows what they're doing, Kindred is amazing too
TInkerer, I love stealth aspect to it, and basically always giving value each game
-
Depends on my mood I suppose, but mostly no, I often hesitate to queue up as killer.

I’ll leave it to Clown mains to say how much they do or don’t use the yellow gas.
Yellow bottles are not all that terrible as people make them out to be, you just need to smart about when and how to toss one, I found it's best to toss one before chase and try to apply pressure with pink ones, forcing them to vault or drop a pallet right away, which is why you'll see lot of clowns run brutal strength, those 0.4 per kick matter in chase. They can also be used as sort of budget agitation, and for making some of the larger maps more manageable, but it's still pain.
Also cigar box is my fav addon for him, giving you aura reading which is super good, enabling some sick plays and from my experience most survivors are oblivious to it, often trying to stealth past me.
-
ds, don't like being tunelled
unbreakable, getting slugged is sleep inducing
iron will, prefer not hearing constant moaning from surv
pharmacy, love opening chests even after 3k hours, and farming medkits
-
yes
-
One of most wholesome threads in a while, I'll go with C to drop that pallet like a true Meg enjoyer
-
ok
-
most blights I face run sweatiest builds with alchemist ring and crow combo which got stale and boring after a while to face everytime
-
I don't , I stopped playing killer altogether
-
Had me in the first half, not gonna lie

Multiple slowdown perks are a big crutch and shouldn't be a thing. There should be a limit to only one slowdown perk in a match.
meanwhile survivors can bring anything they want?
survivor is blatantly stronger in comparison to killer when it comes to second chances and overall perk strength
-
I go with some kind of build I come up on the spot, usually I go with some kind of info (bond, kindred),self healing(selfcare ,circle of healing or pharmacy),other 2 depends ,something to help team w/ unhooks or gens and last spot for something to help in chase (iron will, sb, balanced landing), or I go full meme with certain builds, like deception/headon, or if I wanna go full stealth or full healing etc.
I find it boring to bring stacked strongest perks, items in game, because I prefer the challenge and I think most items when used with certain addons are broken but then again some killer addons are broken asf so what can you do

I run Oppression.
It's kind of slept on , I got 3k+ hours and still miss those skillchecks when they come out of nowhere, it's really good when used with pop

I just to run Pharmacy to farm Green Medkits, because I was in love with Green Medkits lmao
I love opening chests, and often I get another medkit when I use up first one
I pair it with botany knowledge so if I get yellow medkit I can get 2 heals out of it, and extra healing speed is nice from botany in clutch situations
-
I run pharmacy often as my go-to healing perk when in soloQ
-
Clown
I like challenging myself by playing 'worst' killer that lot of people say
Not sure in total I got 3+ k hours, mostly survivor, but when playing killer I often gravitate to clown because I don't stress if I win or lose most of the time because I'm playing clown, and I know odds are often stacked against me
It's funny running cursed skins and throwing bottles everywhere, and once you get good with bottles you get really good at cutting chases short
Since nobody plays clown, I'd say I'm above average at least at him, if I run good build I can 3, 4k consistently at mid-high mmr
-
dead hard
always thought it's clutch 3rd health state and too strong, hence why so many people run it
-
I got over 3k+ hours and only played huntress once to realize I would never enjoy playing her
I don't mind playing against her ,but the hitboxes have always been atrocius
-
stopped playing killer overall, stress isn't worth it
on average 10 games on survivor, until I get burned out by same few killers with same perks and addons
-
not only is there only blights, nurses in 90% of my games, but they all run most broken addon combinations with strong perk builds
trying to play vs that as soloQ without items over and over again gets boring super fast
I can't recall when was last time I faced myers, clown, ghostie, billy, twins
so many killers, yet only few are viable against your average swf
if nothing sbmm only showed the game's flaws even more
-
I caught a baby dweet today in one of badham rooms in houses that had no window, trying to hide, while playing clown
I repeatedly tossed bottles at him, mostly purple, until my deviousness was full, then procedeed to hook him and continue on as normal
-
this is art
-
dead hard too often feels cheap or undeserved for giving the whole time so much time at certain loops or tiles
-
basically any m1 killer, but clown is my fav, I love tossing bottles all over the place, and running cursed skin combinations
-
Any stealth killer is always fun time, esp on indoor maps
Facing a good or decent billy at least is a rare treat
Clown, I love his terror radius music
-
Huntress, I don't get ppl who play/main her, I find playing her, and vs her to be snoozefest most of the time
Blight, I love playing him on ocassion, but it seems only perks ppl have on him are same 5-6 perks with alchemist ring and crow, since SBMM got into game, every blight, without exception was running the same build, over and over again
Nurse, Spirit, nothing memorable about those matches, if ever, outplaying them feels more like dumb luck or killer messing up than it has to do with my skill and game knowledge although spirit is lot more manageable now, same problem as with blight when it comes to perks sadly
-
Brutal strength on M1 killers, it just feels lot nicer ,same as bamboozle
-
glad to see someone appreciates clownman, I love playing him the most, love throwing those bottles everywhere even if they don't make lot of sense, and I don't like being looped around the same tile several times.
while lot of people say not to use yellow bottles for map traversal, I disagree, I feel like clown desperatly needs anything to have some kind of map pressure, reload takes only few seconds and often times all I need is to know aprox where someone is, most of the time I catch up to ppl using both yellow and purple bottles.
as far as viable builds go, I feel like builds centered around making your m1's hurt the most, or information are the key.
