  • That the whole point, you're not.

If you play any slowdown, you're sweaty.

In line of sight of a hooked survivor? Camper

Can't find anyone else to chase and it happens to be injured Meg? Tunneler

You run memey addons/perks, only to get destroyed by swf and same 5,6 perks? GG EZ git gud

    Playing killer in general? Toxic

  • Corrupt is a must for me on any slow early game killer, trapper, hag, myers, ghostie

Other than that, I don't think it's that amazing of a perk, rarely as a survivor I'll go 'oh no it's corrupt' unlike ruin /undying tinkerer combo I see lot of ppl running which has gotten so stale by now

  • If survivors want to feel like they're being held by hand and given easier treatment whole time with meta items, perks and voicecoms, let them have it. It feels lot more satisfying dominating over sweaty swf playing addonless clown with gimmicky builds than to play same old 4-5 perk killer meta with best addons, it gets boring fast. I used to stress alot during my games, but now when I play killer I can usually tell by the first few minutes of the game how's it gonna end, so I just end up practicing using my power if it requires some kind of aiming and don't take it too seriously because everyone playing this game for longer, knows how much easier survivor role is, even if playing solo, most of the times I die is because I was goofing around ,looting chests ,doing dull bones, being immersed for the laughs etc.

  • Depends on how I feel, mostly at least one, I like to play the game too

  • Spirit by far, freddy is also super annoying due to his lullaby

I love, love, LOVE Coulrophobia, Deathbound, Forced Penance, and Sloppy Butcher on Clown.

I love that build, I run something similar on clown, courlophobia, thanatophobia, deathbound, nurse's calling with sulphuric bottle for mangled extra effect, or I replace thana with sloppy.

Another build I like to run is tinkerer, oppression, pop, brutal ( or bbq if I want points ), best with extra antidote duration to zoom around, it's really chill and decent build.

Starstruck, agitation, bbq, iron maiden with cigar box addon is also super fun to run.

  • Originally main reason I bought the game was because I'm a huge horror movie and video game fan, but overall I prefer original killers and lore behind them, props to the writers.

  • Trickster by far

4.4 ms, no lethality, no map pressure, main event is a joke

Trapper is heavily relying on rng, clown is good at shutting down loops and annoying to vs if played right, legion has solid perks synergy, and get decent info from his power, compared to the trickster, all 3 of them are nurse level almost

  • Because it works, same way why prove thyself and hoping from one gen to the next while your strongest looper occupies the killer. As long as people sweat all the time killer or survivor, expect to be tunneled/genrushed all the time.

  • Once you get accurate with bottles, gets really good at chase, but you need strong perks/addons to carry you often. One of my fav killers, due to shortening loops significantly

  • Play bubba against good survivors and you might not think so anymore

  • Was wondering when is next Sluzzy thread, and what about. Was not disappointed

Certainly not a good experience, and hopefully not one you run into often. If, however, you're playing as a team filled with Hook-reducing addons, Sabotage perks, flashlights, and full second chances; just to humiliate the killer and prevent them from getting hooks, you can't really complain if they manage to down all of you and refuse to hook anyone.

After all, preventing hooks was the whole point of the team, right? That's what they wanted, right?

No, I always play soloQ, since I think swf is busted, especially with right items, and offering to tilt the game in your favor. Maybe just a bad streak on my part then.

  • lot of people I play with in soloQ are bots so I don't see the point

  • People will always find something to complain about, I'm glad to see wraith being played, before his buff I barely saw any ever in my games, and as a mostly survivor player, I don't think he's overpowered, although he is a threat now, but we can't have that of course because most survivors want to dunk on every killer they face. You guys just need to adjust and pay more attention during your games, or put on spine chill in your every build.

  • idk, I escape pretty often as soloQ ,without meta or sweaty builds, I don't think it's as bad as people make it out to be

cant deal with the amount of harassment and insults from survivor when i finish every game... and by the time, it most commonly ppl insulting , sometimes insults my father dead, my mom , wish her horrible things, call me noob etc...

its completly unhealthy the amount of insults in this game, and dont say , you should report, i make tickects and i report in game, but its not my job to be the police of death by daylight...

so sry but when i play dbd in ps4, if someone insult me throught the ps4 chat, he receive a penalty or ban, here its the law of the jungle.

I used to get frustrated and mad every game, but now even if I get dunked on by sweat squads, I just go 'ok' and shrug it off. They wanna win so bad and tilt everything in their favor? Let them have it then, it says a lot about their skill if they have to abuse everything in game to win. If I see that I'm gonna lose, I don't even sweat or camp anymore, unless it's endgame, and got nowhere else to go, just hook them and move on, trying to get as many STBFL stacks, or BBQ.

Use their skill and knowledge of the game to learn, best way to get good at game is to observe what survivors are doing, and think of the best way to counter it. Playing killer is only as frustrating as much as you allow it to be, and as a clown and trapper main, I know alot about it.

Also realize that there's alot of RNG involved with everything in this game, from tile spawns, maps, items, latency giving you or robbing you of hits.

Hope this helps, and good luck :)

  • Not that often unfortunately, against good survivors they're kind of weak, and against swf their element of surprise is almost completely gone. I love going against ghostie or myers esp if it's an indoor map without spinechill, always makes me tense and having to be careful at all times.

  • That was a funny read

    Also very true, lol

  • Every clown main KNOWS that clown isn't the best killer, and that's fine.

I love playing him mostly because tossing the bottles right way so that they spread correctly or to interrupt someone from far away feels amazing.

I'll always have more respect for a god clown dunking on my team rather than nurse/spirit/freddy which you see at red ranks all the time.

    Also, belly physics

  • the stress just isn't worth it, I don't even do killer dailies anymore, because I'm too tired of sweating every killer game, unlike survivor which I play (and escape) with half my attention diverted towards some tv show or youtube on the side.

  • I play survivor most of the time and I don't find DS to be too weak, if nothing it makes people ply more safely unlike before when they had whole minute of invincibility. Gotta love seeing all the survivor mains crying all the time now that their main abusable perk has been nerfed

  • I play survivor mostly and I'm all for the nerf. It might actually make some of survivors to play more smart and bit more stealthy instead of rushing gens and unhooks in killer's face like it was for so long.

  • I bought the dlc with shards mostly for perks, I end up using m1 more often than bothering with his power, he's fun to play though but it's gonna get old fast if he doesn't get buffs, he's just laughable at the moment

  • Yeah, everyone knows DH is bs and that's why they're running it, it allows to get away with dumbest mistakes and downright shutdown some killers and buy themselves extra 30-40 seconds with it.

  • Deadhard made me stop lunging even if I saw that person having sprintburst, just a instinct by this point

  • SoloQ is fine, you just have to use your brains more. Hard for some people I know, but it can be done.

SwF removes need for any info perks and makes the game lot easier to play.

  • When I suspect seal team 6 sweat squad is incoming I just take off addons usually and play m1 machete man, trying to get them stbfl stacks and just play like a bot on beginner difficulty going in straight line, why sweat galons against someone who treats it like a finale of a esports tournament, this way they usually rush gens, and then I open gates for them to be quickly over, they usually leave earlier too because they suspect bloodwarden. and of course aftergame chat off is a must for me

  • Pharmacy, while obviously not meta it's my fav self healing perk other than bringing medkit in match. I find it often better to have one fast heal per match rather than to waste too much time with selfcare or to search for those totems while using inner strength. Plus opening chest speed is nice if you're a chest goblin like myself and have to open each one you see.

  • skillcheck please?...skillcheck please?...skillcheck?

*proceeds to check skillcheck chances on dbd wiki

  • Usually after first killer game, even if I win it almost never feels like a win, due to the stress involved to get it. I still got 3 killer dailies I haven't done in weeks because I don't really need bp anymore that much and I don't want to stress out and be bullied by tryhards all the time.

Dead Hard to Blight is as Spirit Burst to Legion.

It is beyond frustrating. I run into at least one DH per game who always uses it to dodge my lethal rushes and make me waste tons of time. They get away with so much because of how Blight HAS to lunge and can't just swing.

Yeah, but most survivor mains will just say to 'git gud' or to 'bait it out lol' without realizing that there's little counterplay, if any to it if you know how to use it properly, to prolong the chase for 20-30 if not more seconds by which time at least 2 gens pop. Survivor queue times speak for themselves after all.

  • I can't remember when was last time somebody was running rancor, and nobody uses stridor other than spirits and adept nurses, so kind of dumb comparison. Deadhard is way overused imo, and it allows ppl to getaway with dumbest mistakes and punish killers with a push of button.Same goes pretty much for ds but thankfully it's getting nerfed.

  • Freddy and spirit,

I imagine people that main spirit with iri addons and volume on 11/10 with stridor also tend to play every match with really good items and map offerings as survivors and ofcourse every textbook meta perk in the game, so I really don't think of it as 'skill' at that point, it's just stacking broken things in game to your advantage, which I find really boring but to each it's own I guess

Freddy is just easy mode tbh even without addons, I play him sometimes when I want to switch off my brain, but he's too boring to play.

  • Can't really blame you, nobody wants to be bullied by sweatlords

  • being called trash after I yoinked someone with tinkerer doc and getting a 4k, you can't even have fun with gimmicky builds in this game as killer without being insulted all the time

  • Since 90% of people are using it you'd think dev's would take notice of the perk and that it may be troublesome?

Imo if it only provided dash and not invincibility it would still be meta if you had 2 brain cells to know how to use it properly, but since it's one of fav surv perks of course they're not gonna change it because they don't want to upset entitled survivor mains who use every crutch in a game to win at any cost and take all the fun out of any killer player who doesn't play meta ######### all the time too.

  • I often start the game, get into killer lobby and then stare at the screen trying to make myself play killer, because most of the matches is 110% sweat all the time then just nope out of the game. I just don't see any incentive to play as one and be a plaything for some sweatlords who stack everything in their favor.

  • It doesn't give second chance or help in chase like every other meta perk, therefore nobody would run it

I don’t even use meta perks like a lot of red rank survivors and I’m a purple rank and still I don’t struggle much in a match. I honestly turn on survivor when i want to relax and calm down after a few terrible matches as killer. That’s exactly what is wrong with this game. It should be stressful and a headache sometimes to play survivor cause you are fighting for your life. Instead it’s a walk in the park and the killer side, which is suppose to be the power role that you stalk and kill your enemies, is more stressful and rage inducing.

Yeah that's the biggest irony with this game really

  • Yeah, pretty much.

Don't you know that killers are OP and you're toxic for even playing one?

  • Survivors is really easy, especially if you stack up those 2nd chance perks plus an item which basically serves as a 5th perk. Of course there's the swf which I can't blame people for playing with friends, but it just makes every info perk obsolete, map offerings, to make it even easier because some maps are atrocious, I have personal grudge vs corn maps, and whenever I load into one as killer I pretty much accept defeat from the start. Most people play this game on 'easy' difficulty with how much they can tilt the game in their favor, then tbag and click like they achieved something amazing. I just turn off my brain and chase whoever I can find as killer, because after getting 360'd tbagged, clickied, and told to commit suicide every other after game chat, you just don't care anymore I guess. If you bring broken addons or good perk build as killer, you're a crutch tryhard, if you don't bring any addons/perks or even mediocore ones, you get called trash and baby etc. So it's a lose-lose situation most of the time. I love this game, but over time it lost it's identity imo, because killers are joke most of the games, that's why you see same few killers at red ranks all the time.

  • I doubt it would change anything killer already gets more BP on average, yet still people in general don't find it enjoyable.

  • Almost never, brown medkit if I don't have some kind of healing in my build.

  • Yes, because this game allows it.

  • If I load into haddonfield/farm offering and I see OoO tbagging me, I just alt tab and go fix myself a snack or a drink, or watch something on youtube, and let them enjoy their map offering. I play to relax and have fun, not to be toyed with and mocked by some sweat squad.

  • He's a pretty smart guy, and often offers wholesome advice to people during streams that are non-dbd related.

  • I know how you feel, only way I found to deal with it is to know that the game is mostly survivor sided, and that there's lot of RNG in the game.

Ignore people that tell you to 'git gud' because not all of are willing to grind 8 hours a day with same killer and same builds over and over again so that we could win.

Turn off that aftergame chat, and just take it easy. Hard to do I know, since most survivors act like hot ######### when they escape as if that's something hard to accomplish with proper build plus a good item which basically acts like a 5th perk. Not to mention comms swf which make most info perks pointless and abundance of 2nd chance perks which are all meta.

It's why most people prefer playing survivor; it's lot easier to 'win', even though it's mostly rigged in their favor.
