Horrible perk design-wise. Encourages unsafe unhooks, braindead plays and selfish gameplay. As for its power, its fine. My only wish is that it reverted to pre-Deep-Wounds version. Basically what Freddy has going for him now, should be available for all other Killers as well.

I can see your point. I still think it's F tier and the highly situational aspects of the perk make it needless to bring up in terms of countering BBQ. But I'll respect it has "some" uses a bit more. it's like Calm Spirit... might come in handy once in a blue moon but is overall a waste of a slot.
Its nothing like Calm Spirit though. Calm Spirit only works on a single killer that isnt even popular. Distortion works on a couple of really popular Killer perks. No downside on not running it, you will always make use of it even if the Killer doesnt have those perks.

Only Instaheals were nerfed, Medkits themselves were actually buffed to heal 25% faster
They increased healing speed (which is honestly extremely minor), but reduced the charges. It will only allow a single heal. Current Emergency Medkits allow potentially two heals. So, we went from 2 medium speed heals to 1 fast heal. Thats a flat nerf.
-
I would say, despite the upcoming changes to medkits being a(n) (unnecessary) nerf to the perk, Pharmacy is still better than SC.
-
Elvira? Isnt that the name of the default Goth family in the Sims franchise?
-
They were rather bad, but they were nice to have around. The small flavour text kinda adds to the experience.

Those are buffs which should be available NOW, or months ago. Not "just cause solos need to be considered".

But the booty shot.

Pretty sure I was able to equip them just fine on my Quentin and Steve on the PTB. So, nothing to worry about.

I mean he definitely doesn't need all of that. A few buffs yes, but not all.
A secondary ability for map pressure would be nice.
His power is about chases. Unless they add something as a secondary power, his power needs to be powerful. How come Freddy, who has a power for chases and pressure, has a stronger chase power than Clown even though their ability is the same? How come snares that have no add-ons attached to them, other than the one that makes them worse for more BP, are better than a whole power dedicated to the same concept?
-
About Clown, that solves nothing of his problems. Tattooed Finger is only largely LARGELY situational. Making an underwhelming ultra rare add-on basekit wont make him better.
He needs the following:
- A bigger slowdown on his bottles (Flask of Bleach basekit), or longer intoxicated effect duration basekit, or both.
- Reduced reloading.
- Optionally a secondary ability to defend generators.
- Not getting slowed after a throw.
- An additional effect for landing direct hits. Not as powerful as Pinky Finger, but something like Begrimed Chains or Heads.
- And, most importantly, fix all the bugs he has. Especially, bottles exploding on his hands and Survivors not getting intoxicated.
-
This is not even bait and you still managed to catch a few. Impressive.
-
How is this version of Flip Flop different from the current one?
As for MoM, way way WAY too easy to trigger, especially Distraction events. The problem with safe unhooks giving tokens is that BT (unfortunately) exists and incentives hook rushing. And, no, BT unhooks are not safe unhooks.
-
Crystal Bead only activates when you use the map. Period.

I think people will use pharmacy more now that the emergency medkit will become the best medkit when the medkit changes go live
Thats a nerf to Pharmacy, not a buff. Again, you only get one heal out of it now.
Self Adherent Wrap only adds 8 charges. Considering the new changes, it should come with Gel Dressings, with 16 charges. Now reliably giving you two full heals.

Quentin a nd Jeff are neck and neck for least played. I'd also argue that Ace has the worst perks and his design is blah but they gave him a nice wardrobe and he is an OG. Adam does need a new look. His cos have all been garbage so far.
Quentin isnt played as much as free characters, but out of all DLC characters, he is one of the most played in the middle, less than Feng and Kate, but miles more than Jeff and Ace. Out of all licensed characters, he is way more popular than Laurie. All others are far more rare.

that's the one map where doing a gen hurts you lmao
Actually, doing the generator in the basement of Temple of Purgation will also open the gates in the sides, making the vaults in the upper floor significantly less effective, even with BL.

@Sluzzy said:
The timer should completely pause when slugged. If a killer is tunneling DS should reap maximum benefits.
How is slugging someone tunnelling? If you are getting slugged, you are not getting tunnelled. Thats just called applying pressure, which is what Survivors say Killers should learn to do instead of complaining about "generators going off too fast". Its called counterplay, learn to accept that second chance perks need counters or shouldnt exist.
-
If you get puked on with Vile Purge, you become infected. You become progressively more infected every second naturally. However, interacting with objects speeds up he rate at which you become broken. In short, yes, it is time based. Subsequent Vile Purges on you will drastically speed it up.
Vile Purge effectiveness add-ons increase how sick you get from getting hit by Vile Purge (getting puked on only). Add-ons that affect infectedness from interactions increase infection level from vaulting, repairing, etc. Those are two different things.
As for her counter-strategy, it depends on the case. People will say "Never cleanse!". Thats wrong. Cleanse accordingly. Someone cleanses? Dont cleanse straight away, but if she gets easy downs, might consider cleansing. She has Black Incense (UR add-on)? Cleanse. Gens done/about to be done? Cleanse. Are you a good looper? Dont cleanse, until/if she gets Corrupt Purge. You are on a SWF? Consider everyone cleansing at once, getting rid of all her corrupted fountains in one go.
Plague is difficult for me to rate, because she heavily depends on who she is facing. Much more than any other Killers. In some cases, Corrupt Purge will end chases fast. In other cases, a Survivor will outlast Corrupt Purge if they know how to break line of sight. In some others, you will get someone broken but fail to M1 them at all. In some others, you will see a broken Survivor working on a gen and down them instantly (bonus points if they DC!).

BT has issues of it's own, but please like I said, this is a discussion of NOED and I wanted to discuss the issues that NOED holds and how it's mindset is flawed. BT teaches bad habits too, which is undeniable. Should you use the perk to rescue players with the killer nearby will train survivors to do just that, but it's still possible to play optimally and use the perk if the killer is trying to secure a last minute kill (which is where the perk shines). NOED has an issue that rewards failure and teaches bad habits. I won't compare NOED to BT or any other from now on since I want this to be a discussion on this perk exclusively. I probably will make more posts and discussions based off of the other perks that create bad habits. So, please, respect my discussion and let's discuss NOED and not compare it apples to oranges, thanks.
Then why are people talking about Adrenaline?
-
Then why is BT still a thing? It is the very definition of encouraging bad habits.
-
The problem is the following:
1) Freddy was changed for a reason. Whether it was because it was considered a weak Killer, or he was not "noob friendly", or encouraged a playstyle the Devs didnt particularly want to keep around. Its not coming back. Devs wanted Old Freddy gone, and thats all it matters.
2) Upkeep. You would have to balance any future changes to the game as well as new perks keeping into consideration both versions of Freddy, whether they are good or bad balance changes. Not to mention that just means to invest resources on basically an entire new Killer with each patch and keep it as bug free as possible.
3) Popularity. I really doubt all this effort is worth it. See it this way. Largely considered the weakest Killer of all by a huge portion of the community. Now imagine bringing back said Killer, but without any add-ons (they have all been reworked to fit new Freddy), some of which made Freddy superior by miles and immensely fun to play. If anything, the amount of people using this add-on would be less than Speed Limiter LF/Billy. All the effort put into this add-on (considering the previous two points), pretty much completely wasted.
-
Small note on this, just saw the Nurse's respective symbol. Its vinegar.
-
I could see them adding some kind of special costume for a Survivor, but a non-human as a standalone Survivor is extremely unlikely as Survivors are meant to be relatable.

Reworked Legion's Killer Instinct is both based on TR and metres. What the rework did was allow the player to modify the Killer Instinct range independently from TR through add-ons. HOWEVER, Killer Instinct is still based TR.
They are both circles overlapping each other. The Killer Instinct circles grows with the TR one, but not vice versa.

Plague's symbol is borax, which, interestingly, is a compound for cleaning agents. Great irony considering this was assigned to Plague. If fact, most of these seem to represent the Killer's character in some way. Spirit and wind, Doctor and arsenic, Billy and lead.
-
I really dont mind them. Sometimes I would rather die to a mori than the old hook animation. The only time I ever minded them was when I was trying to get the Rank 1 achievement. So, pipping would be my only complain about them. And even then I didnt care about pipping after that (and still dont).

Hasnt the increased chance to get better items been the same on all tiers for a while now?

Little off-topic, but I 100% agree with you about child actors.

I get why people like Enduring, I know about the Enduring + SF combo, I know that you didnt take into account combos. But why is Enduring S tier? If anything, SF should be above it, and Enduring should be A tier at the very most.

Just because you think its a good idea, doesnt mean its a "priority".
We have Archives right around the corner. Thats a big new feature and you seem to completely dismiss it.

Personally I think ruin is in a decent spot other than totems spawning right next to gens its fine.
Same goes for all Hex perks, you take the risk of losing that perk when you run it. Especially with the current spawning system for totems, personally I main survivor and it is not a rare thing to actually spawn looking at the hex or extremely close to it.
If anything I would say they should rethink hex spawn locations.
1) Make them away from gens
2) Make it so they randomly spawn inside of trees or walls. (Idk could be interesting)
Also if you really wanna slow down generator progress maybe consider Dying Light and/or Thanatophobia.
Ruin is only meant to slow down early game, for the rest of the game you need to apply gen pressure by patrolling or the use of other perks.
Making trees hollow is actually an amazing idea. Decent totem spots, difficult to find easily and makes maps more varied.
-
I ised to give away hatch escapes oftenly. But now that the hatch spawns regardless of generators left, not anymore.
-
I would say "Charge your phone/tablet!", but its at 100%, so, instead, Ill remain silent.
-
Honestly, I found the missed hit change really stupid. If you miss a hit from BS reasons (especially with dedicated servers around the corner) it becomes extremely frustrating, way more than missing with a hatchet, a blink or post-phase hit. It also removes the whole "frenzy" aspect of Feral Frenzy.
And is spamming lunge to go faster bad anyway? Honestly, if you have the patience for that, then you should get rewarded. Even if it was possible anymore, it seems as a waste. They could have simply removed the ability lunge or decrease the lunge itself (like T1 Myers) while in FF and it would have "fixed" this "problem".
-
Hallowed*, as in sacred, not hollowed, as in empty.
-
While this would be an amazing idea, free roaming -ish camera for Survivors would make SWF busted (more than what they already are). One can just follow the Killer and report to the alive Survivor their positioning, or look for the hatch for them, or "The Killer found the hatch, go to a door", or make stealth Killers useless. Thats the reason why Survivors cant spectate the Killer (unless KYF).
This could work with some modifications, but it would require almost an entire overhaul of 3 Survivors or less vs Killer. Like the Killer being able to scare rats off, and getting more powerful as more Survivors die, rat-players making noise to alert alive Survivors of stuff so its even for SWF and solos. Overall, not worth it.
-
I wouldnt be surprised if the next chapter will be TWD. Yesterday they tweeted out a picture of their Comic Con pass showing TWD. Might have been a teaser, might have been not.
-
Fairly simple really.
Spirit was something new when released (well, not exactly upon release. Maybe after her big buff afterwards). Back then, we hadnt had a non-M1 Killer ever since Huntress, if memory doesnt fail me. She was loved because the end result was something unique and powerful, outstanding potential, and also really aesthetically appealing. The usual looping mechanics, being a counter to a great amount of the Killers we had didnt apply to her. Overall, appreciated by many, an amazing, if not the best, design for a character.
Time passed, novelty worn off. And, as per usual, people complain about anything that either does not have a crystal clear counter or "breaks the (looping) game". And, here we are today. I would say you have to play a lot of Spirit and a lot against her to properly counter her, and I am perfectly fine with that. That is the very definition of skilful play.
Other than time, the only changing factor was footsteps being made actually audible. That certainly was a big buff to Spirit. No matter the arguments against it, it should have been like that since the start. It was not game mechanics hindering her power, it was an actual bug that did.

Clown being the worst is just a meme that got popular and now people actually believe it. He needs buffs and bug fixes, as well as maybe a secondary ability, but still far superior to Mr and Mrs "What is our power again? Doesnt matter" and the bright yellow slug.

Imagine getting grabbed by a Spirit even with Prayer Beads.
