Oddly enough, Im good with the "newer" Killers (Clown onwards), even new Freddy. The only exceptions to this rule are Legion (because of the nerf) and GF (never played him, I dont like him).
Any older Killer, I dont do particularly well and dislike them. (Except for Doc, I like him but dont do good on him)
-
Did you know that Ballerina Feng has black panties? This is unfair treatment for Spirit.
-
The problem is even bigger than that. Devs somehow expect Killers to be the "skillful role". Make a tiny mistake, like missing a hit (though, honestly that is more RNG than actual skill), respecting/disrespecting a pallet (depending on the case), misplaced a portal? Poof goes your power.
Meanwhile, Survivors are the "casual role". Oh, you like unsafe unhooks? Have a perk for that, no problem. Get "tunnelled"? Have another free chance. Oh, your perk isnt triggering because counterplay? Have a mechanic which allows you to have no counter for your perk, and we will defend that decision. Fortunately, these cases are just a few, and thats comforting at least.
-
Didnt the roadmap say we would be getting "Incentives" tied to ranking?
-
I rarely have much trouble using it. Usually when I cant use its because I either dont get hooked at all or I cant get an unhook before getting found.
-
If you last that long during a chase, then you dont need DS. Get used to not to rely on a second chance perk.

I still think BT shouldnt be related to Deep Wounds at all in the first place and be like old version where you had to heal or be downed. Your teammate did a bad save, pay the consequences for that.
-
It wasnt newly made. They were around on release but never used.

So come endgame, with one survivor remaining and the hatch closed, do feel free to explain how the remaining survivor has any chance at all of opening an exit gate?
With the same logic. The Survivor has the new Left Behind and survives until the end, they either found a key or brought it in. Feel free to explain how the Killer has a chance at catching them?

Was it not like this before?
No. With Surveillance, you only see the white aura until a Survivor touches it (yellow aura) or it fully regresses back to 0% (usual red aura).
-
Im torn between a Mori daily on a Killer you have no moris/Devour Hope/Rancor on, GF's (because it can be difficult) and the Trapper/Wraith/Hillbilly ones (because they give less BP).

Why is he allowed to track when the other stuns can't?
Hell, you are looking at this wrong. Nurse's is fine, but Legion's tracking shouldnt in the first place hinder them that much. Not going to turn it into a Legion thread, but its not fair to compare a bad mechanic on a bad Killer and say that the good Killer should also get that bad mechanic for "consistency".

Furtive chase exists.
And so does Dying Light in the PTB. -Sigh- Now THAT is bad perk design. If it rolls out like that, it will usurp Monstrous Shrine's throne.
Anyway. Rancor isnt talked about much because is rarely used. The few times its mentioned is because someone got salty they didnt know how to hide. Its not an undeserved insta-down/mori at all. It is literally the only perk and reason why Survivors should fear being the Obsession, which was part of the focus of implementing the Obsession system. Previously it was Dying Light, but that is getting a rework. All other Obsession perks revolve around keeping you alive the longest and/or actively ignoring you.
Considering that, as the Obsession, you have PLENTY of time to figure out Rancor is in play, and therefore plenty of time to play around it, I see absolutely nothing wrong with it. And even if you do get hit by Rancor, you survived all the way to the end, so you had your fair chance to earn a big amount of points. And since the Killer will generally not focus on downing you to make use of it, thats even more of a chance.

Just dont choose Coulrophobia. Thats mine, and only one other person has it. And whenever they post, it gets me confused.
-
You answered it yourself, more or less. "does Second Wind get enough healing charge to activate?"
Charges are always the same for completing an action. If you use any perk to boost speed, you are just going through charges faster.
Short answer: Yes. Well Make It has great synergy with Second Wind.
As for giving more points, no. Full heals will always give the same amount of points. BP obtained is based on how many charges you went through to complete that action, and that is question 1's answer.
-
Good luck with that.

When they made this map they wanted to be sure that balanced landing could be used anywhere.
And I do mean anywhere.
I think Game should just receive a complete rework, the map sucks for both sides and is just generally unfun to play on.
Heavily disagree. The map is really enjoyable.

Whining about literally anything, are we not? If the Killer has Bamboozle, you dont hear it from across the map, otherwise you would have a point. How would this be a nerf to solos vs SWF?
-
There is a common misconception. One thing is bumping which is understandable, another thing is necroing, which is bad.
I dont mind bumping as long as the thread contains information or a use that is still relevant. That is bumping. Like suggesting something, not getting many replies, waiting for a day, and then bringing it back up.
Necroing is annoying. Such as going to an old Q&A thread from the previous year. Its misleading, making other people think "Oh, a post from Devs that I missed! Yay!", and then sadness hits. Or making others think "These replies are wrong, lets let them know", but in actuality they were just outdated.
-
Not a meme, but I just found this on the game's Steam page. And I love it, and wish I could draw so I could make my own. Its basically showing how this user's characters "carry" other characters for getting BP.
And I just love Freddy in the background yelling "Im dangerous now!".
-
Most likely the "Bleeding" score event, which you get from injuring someone and them healing back up. Otherwise, I dont think theres any possible explanation.

If you are using a basic brown toolbox and you have level 5 ingenuity, youll get 6 extra charges on that toolbox. A base toolbox has 80 charges, making the total 86. That might not seem like a lot, but Thanatophobia level 3 adds 6 seconds to the base 80 generator repair time.
Thats not how it works. Effects that affect repair/healing speed do not increase the amount of charges consumed. Only Overwhelming Presence does that. They only increase the total time it takes to complete something, like, making it 0.8 charges per second instead of 1 (just an example).
-
Quentin should have 5 on all categories.

Personally I think the system is fine as it is. Killers are the ones that benefit the most from the information given, however sparse it might be; items and possible perk implications are small, but it's something.
However, I wouldn't be opposed to Survivors being able to see who the Killer is, at least after it's too late to make any changes. Like, perhaps having their shadow cast a silhouette over the campfire during the last 3 seconds of countdown to give newer players a rough idea and more experienced players knowledge of who it is before seeing them in game. I don't think that would change the dynamic too drastically, since there's quite a lot of Killers who already have their own interface spoilers as it is.
About the second part, the silhouette, that screws over jumpscare/stealth Killers. Getting a first jump on an unaware Survivor can sometimes be crucial. If its just for newer players, then they already have something called "Loading Screen Tips" to give them a rough idea of what to expect. And expecting new players to recognise a silhouette to make proper use of that information, Im not so sure about that.
You are also giving up an important factor that compliments one of the main appeals of the game; uncertainty. The thrill of not knowing what you are facing until there is a clear indicator or seeing the Killer first hand is extremely valuable, even for myself, who has years worth of playtime.

Am I not a true gamer if I use arrow keys instead of WASD?

I think Haddonfield and The Game should be reworked first.
If you are playing Killer on Haddonfield and all four Survivors have Balanced Landing, you are gonna have an extremely hard time hooking them.
The Game is kind of bad for both sides.
If The Game is bad for both sides, then wouldnt that make it good for both sides?

I was thinking about that, but it make the perk again useless, so I put speed bonus if you are the last survivor alive AND the end game collapse has started.
It would be far from useless. The lights being hidden is HUGE.

Remove the gate opening spees bonus and give it to Wake Up.

Nothing was leaked. They could have perfectly held it off.
I assume its because of release deadlines. Then they ran into some issues, and couldnt do it this week.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/83699/dream-pallets
I dont agree about the fact that dream pallets should be nerfed, but i think the rarity of the addon for the pallets should be reworked. A green addon seems fair to me since no killer has 2 powers to switch. And a brown addon is basically a "free choice" every game by the high drop rate.
Well, thats the point. Dream Pallets are just another part of his power. They could have put both pallets and snares together, but they chose to only allow him to have one at a time. By being common, it means the player can actually choose freely which to have. If anything, they shouldnt be tied to add-ons at all and just be a toggle somewhere.
Upping their rarity would make sense if Dream Pallets were OP, and they arent. Snares and them are effective in different situations.
-
Depends on the Killer. For instance, Killers with insta-downs, you might need to go for normal M1s uf you use your power too much. Insta-downs only count as a single hit, so you will suffer in the Malicious/whatever emblem if you use it for every single chase. Trapper and Plague also suffer from this.
Dont be afraid of using strong add-ons. Certain achievements will require you to play almost perkless (because their perks suck, are situational or just dont have synergy with their power).
Only use moris if they are on death hook or think you REALLY need to get someone out of the match.
-
By Survivor's perk, you mean teachable? If so, you dont have to, but teachables will continuously appear until you get them, so its better to just unlock them as soon as possible to get them out of the way.
If you mean normal perks, no. Any normal perks, regardless of the characters, are random. For instance, it is possible to have Feng at level 50, have all the perks you want, and have Technician at tier I.

1) Discordance. Or a "start all together" offering. Even if you dont use those, it is common to have multiple survivors close to each other. OK for the maps, but Legion is not the worst considering this argument #huntress
2) Aura was not the correct word but you got the idea.
3) Yes, FF is a power based on wasting time while injuring multiple survivors in a short time.
I may be wrong, since you stated I don't play Legion.
I know that you dont play Legion, but... do you play Killer at all? Killers do not have "start all together"/Shrouds of Binding. Even then, a power that is only effective for the first seconds of the match... HA.
-
Or... just... maybe... keep track of her. There is no reason any of the current killers should lose their power from stuns other than Legion while Frenzy.

Why is everyone trying to make lockers even more useless than they already are? Why should a perk deny a game mechanic completely?
If thats the mentality, then getting hit and having BT trigger should not count as a "safe unhook".

FFS... Yes.

I actually like them all. All really nice perks, no braindead ones like BT, no BS ones like MoM. Im 100% getting this chapter.
The one change I would expect and recommend would be to make Better Together have infinite range.

I hope I get nice bonis from using that perk.

Something about making perks be easier to be obtained from bloodwebs. Most likely increased amount of perks you can spawn per level.
-
Unneededly long post to state that Stake Out should get stacks while hooked. No need for it to be stated on the perk's description. For devs worrying so much about consistency, this perk and Diversion make no sense.
-
It is not a bug. It was made specifically like that during one of the patches a while ago, Overcharge skillchecks being the only ones which behave like that.
As for the reason, I guess they wanted to make sure the Survivor had to go through the skillcheck. Either to prevent tapping to avoid it or to give the Survivor a chance to not miss it considering its more regression than a normal skillcheck.

Always people with a Kate image do that.
It's funny because I see a lot of people on these forums act a certain way and it's always *insert character here* as their profile picture.
Someone who always suggests QoL changes and personal opinions usually have a Bill or Huntress icon.
People that are grumps usually have a Jokeface, Spirit or Trapper icon.
You understand what I mean.
(People who complain and whine about everything have a Meg, Kate or Legion icon).
Also I'm using the word "usually", this doesn't mean that the people that have their profile pic as *insert character here* always act this way, just most of the time.
*cries in Ash profile picture*
What about jailed profile pictures? :P

Just making it silver instead of black would help a lot. Making it slightly bigger would be nice as well.
