in my opinion. 3v1 is still FAIR. (but your mates can suicide...) buuut 2V1 and 1v1 is ridiciolous! Yesterday I was playing on Susie 1v1 and she spelled "ezzzz"

Many people who play Survivor feel the same way. @Tsulan in particular, if memory serves, prefers 3v1 because it's tense and mistakes actually matter since there's nobody to save your ass if you screw up.

You mean one of the biggest killer mains with a persecution complex on the forum defends 3 vs 1 games?

    Well imagine my shock.
    Uhm...
I like 3vs1 matches as survivor. Because that match is hard and every decision could mean the end. If you think that makes me killer biased, than that's your problem.

As killer I usually go softer on 3vs1, because many survivors fear the challenge and disconnect. I guess you're one of them. But I don't blame you. When the easy mode suddenly turns hard, it's to much for many.
No killer bias in that post, not at all. The fact that you had to throw in a salty comment like "the easy mode" says it all.

I try to do some but in general you get that many these days that no it isn't worth it. If it's the odd occasion I can put up with them but when it's multiple in one night its just boring. Especially not when its a 3 vs 1 because someone dropped out due to a mori being used. 3 survivors vs an ebony mori....thats about the kind of balance killer mains like you want. Bet they still cry about the hatch though.
Survivor has always been the easy mode. Because the workload is shared among the others. No survivor has to complete 5 gens and loop the killer for 5 minutes. Those tasks are split between 4 players. Or in the case of a 3vs1, 3 players. That's what I'm referring to.

There was nothing said about Moris. So I guess you'd prefer to disconnect in that situation instead of playing the harder game.

Some of the most memorable matches i had as survivor, have been where someone disconnected.
There is no better feeling than escaping when all odds are against you.
Dark Souls has quite some fans, because it's unforgiving and hard. But maybe you prefer other games.
    Nice try with the elitism.

Dark souls is a fair and balanced game.

DBD is balanced around 4 survivors....or is this the part where you disagree?

Its even worse when the killer resorts to camping/tunneling because they know the remaining 2 wont be able to rush gens.
And thats the point. 3vs1 isnt what DbD is balanced around, thats why its difficult and why sone people like it. Dark Souls is hard (some sections), and that sense of challenge is what attracts its playerbase. Its a matter of liking it or not, so not sure why this discussion keeps going.

The additional layer on the matter is whether its fair or not. Because its PvP, unlike Dark Souls, there are a lot more factors to consider, such as add-ons/offerings, player skill and RNG. If Survivors are better than the Killer, you could say its fairer for the Killer, but if everyone is suckish, then it becomes less fair.

  • People just like to think Legion is a scrapped version of x, because they just want x to be in the game.

The thing is the Scream killer is generic as #########, yet iconic. So anything looks like its similar to it.

  • For perk builds, I run BBQ and Chilli. Mostly for the BP bonus, but the aura reading on it is amazing on her. Whispers can be good for tracking, but generally works on most killers. I like to slow down the game, so either Sloppy Butcher or Ruin (Sloppy Butcher goes perfect with Father's Glasses as well). A good combo I sometimes run is Devour Hope and Haunted Grounds. If people sees a Spirit running hex perks, they assume its HG, so they potentially wont touch Devour Hope and assume its HG. Its still a gamble. Stridor is decent, but you need to get used to it first.

As for mind games, it depends on the Survivors. Low ranks, they wont stop running after throwing down a pallet, so with them its a waste of time. In higher ranks, your mind game potential skyrockets. Stuff like standing still on one side of the pallet and making them think you are phasing to their side. And not to mention just appearing out of nowhere and downing a Survivor waiting at a pallet.

There is also a trick that sometimes works on certain maps, like going atop a hill and tapping your phase button and checking for Survivors because their shape will shine as they disappear. Especially useful for Coldwind Farm maps with corn.

Now, there are maps that I struggle more with Spirit personally. Lery's, for instance, too many side paths to follow, so phasing across that map can be more complicated. Ormond Resort can also be difficult one as well. Autoheaven Wreckers and Macmillan Estate are actually fairly good for me. Coldwind Farm is 50-50.

  • For me, a win is getting a daily out of the way. Especially the "Open the Exit Gate with x character". But, yes, as long as I got plenty BP in a single category, or an escape, its a win for me.

As for Killer, it depends. I dont see it as "I won this match" or "I lost this match". I simply had one and I enjoyed it because x Killer is fun to play as.

  • I like to think David mains (especially the shirtless ones) as failed tryhards. They try pulling off jukes with Dead Hard and fail.
  • Give it time. Its holidays. I would wait until the later weeks of January or February.

Because OP. The Devs NEVER accidentally ruin Survivor utterly.

Killer though? At least a few times a year.

At present Killers might as well not even bother looking at scratch marks, or trying to listen for survivors. Cause EVERYTHING is [BAD WORD] E D!

How have they "utterly ruined" killers this year? lmfao.

    1) Huntres Hatchets hitboxes (now reverted)
    2) Clown Bottles not launching correctly (still not fixed)
    3) Broken unhooking invincibility frames (still not fixed)

Those are not taking into consideration the bugs caused by the engine update, but those are new, so its fair to see how long they take to fix them.
  • Have you tried actually performing safe unhooks?
  • I prefer guys without beards. Same deal with Jake.
  • Third Seal is so OP it meeds a perk to counter it. :P

I find Barbecue & Chili to be too strong. There is a big difference in matches against killers with it versus without. In the matches against killers with BBQ, there is almost always someone on the hook at all times; the survivors just get juggled on and off the hook.

I think that Barbecue & Chili should reveal survivors' locations like Rancor does (with a location bubble) instead of 4 seconds of auras. This should tone down how powerful the perk is by removing the killer's ability to track survivors' specific movements with it, while giving them better map awareness, as the lockers only hide auras (?). After this change, the minimum distance from the hook for locations to be revealed can be reduced if need be.

You do realise revealing location instead of aura would actually be a buff rather than a nerf?
    1) There is no way to conceal location. You cant hide behind generators or hide in lockers, and Distortion would be useless.
    2) Spirit would be even stronger with BBQ than she already is.
    3) You can choose who to go after (locate the specific Survivor you wish to go for).
  • So, basically, you are forcing Killers to take up another slot just to get what they have now? The pick up was sped up because the old speed wasted too much time, same with hooking.

If you want Mad Grit reworked around pickup speed, make the current speed faster, or instant. New meta perk right there (not really  but you get the point).
  • Dead Hard is definitely the worst exhaustion perk. Compared to others, unless in a very situational occasion, you get no distance from the killer, and even then, it will only work once before the killer realises you have it, and then its a wasted perk slot. Not only that, but people expect you to have it. So when you have it, its also useless. And, finally, even if you bait the killer into swinging, a well timed lunge (which is almost every lunge) can negate it.

If I had to rank them. I would say:
    1. Balanced Landing
    2. Either Sprint Burst or Lithe (SB limits you on how often you can run, which potentially wastes your time, but at the same time it counters a large amount of killer powers)
    3. Dead Hard

  • A nice note about Clown, the spread of the clouds. If you throw a bottle against an object above, the gas will spread downwards to the floor like, ironically, a circus tent. This is useful in nasty spots like the killer shack, where throwing a bottle against the ceiling, even without spread add-ons, you will cover the entire shack interior.

And something else about Leatherface. Acceleration add-ons != Chainsaw movement speed add-ons. The former, the chili add-ons, make little difference. Thats why Beast's Marks is his second best add-on.
  • Well, Speed Limiter for Hillbilly and Leatherface and Padded Jaws for Trapper. Maybe Wraith's The Ghost -Soot add-on, but this last one can actually help you sometimes. :P
    1. They hinder you, making the game harder.
    2. They take up a slot (add-on slot).
    3. May change the way you play.

Definitely the No Mither of Killers.

Why is HAG not in S+ tier and Billy is? She's literally just as good as him in everything except Map pressure. She completely overshines him in chases though. They should be evenly matched.

Hag doesn’t outshine Billy in chases for two reasons. First, she has a 110% movement speed so she is very slow at chasing a survivor. Second, Billy has an instant down that he can always use to quickly end a chase. Sure, Hag is good at preventing loops with her traps but her traps are worthless if a survivor has a flashlight. Billy is better than Hag is. Hag is like the fourth or fifth best killer behind Nurse, Billy, and Spirit. I would personally even put Myers ahead of Hag.
That doesn't make sense. Hag's traps prevents loops, and, yes, they get destroyed by flashlights. But a Survivor will never shine a flashlight on a trap during a chase. They dont have the time anyway. If they know about the Hag placing a trap, they will move somewhere else.

Billy might be better than Hag, but she isnt too far behind either. She has amazing potential.

As for Clown being better than Huntress, its a tough one. A Clown may not harm you from distance, but he easily closes in with an amazing rate. Even if you get a pallet thrown at you, you can still even slow the Survivor down enough to make the pallet drop a waste. He is also a 115% movement speed killer, which was the main argument of the people comparing Hag and Hillbilly.

Both Huntress and Clown are weak to Survivors' stealth, but Huntress has no way of preventing Survivors from knowing she is coming at them or not due to her humming being directional. Meanwhile, as Clown, you just have normal terror radius (which is superior in this regard).
  • Yes, pls. I have been wanting this for ages.

  • Its interesting, this discussion can become really personal. The response greatly varies depending on each person's definition of evil.

For instance, in my case, I could consider evil someone who kills just to kill, because its all they know. This is kind of the reason Myers does it, which puts him into "evil" rank as Huntress. Yet, I will say it again, true evil is being fully aware of your actions and still choosing to kill because it gives you pleasure, which is why I still find Clown the most evil, followed by Frank. All other killers are just forced (whether its emotions or external force), so they will rank way lower.

I could agree with this. But at the same time the only time a survivor needs to see a killers offering is if its bloody streamers, or a map offering. Other than that, they should all be secret offerings.

EDIT: The only reason it's even an issue is all the puss who are afraid to fight and disconnect. Otherwise i wouldn't care at all about this. Jafeel?

Referring to the main point of the thread, you are correct.

But referring to my post, mine was more of a gripe against how irrelevant the point of secret offerings are. There might be a difference if its an ivory vs an ebony (or a cypress), but everyone knows it will be a mori.

  • I would like to add that even though Susie may seem like the nice girl, I am fairly sure they stated somewhere (during a live stream or something) that she is indeed evil, presumably because of Frank's influence. She is too far gone to turn sides.

  • Right now Im in the process of getting to 1m BP to prestige my Spirit for the second time. I will then try out the boxes, which should make it easier. I cant wait for Blood Hunt next week though. I might just get her to P3-50 by the end of the year considering holiday vacations (which I so heavily desire right now).

  • I am fine with Survivors seeing Killer offerings, but we do need more Secret offerings. Right now, if a Survivor uses one, we know its a shroud. If a Killer uses one, we know its a mori (or a shroud, but shrouds on Killer actually hurts them), and on very rare cases a splinter.

  • I can think of two most important questions:

When will we get forum avatars for the newer characters?

    And licensed cosmetics when?!
  • Oh, you wanna bag now?

    Okay.

I guess Ill Just have To show you WHY YOU SHOULD'VE YEETED OUT OF THAT GATE WHEN YOU HAD THE CHANCE

What do you mean with "situational“?

sole survivor is if you survive long enough to have it work, calm spirit is if you even go against doc or clown, spirit fury is if enough pallets are thrown the entire match, and well, Coulrophobia is if survivors even heal inside the terror radius and risk nurses

Correction, Calm Spirit is if you even go against Doc. Clown isnt affected by it.
  • I Awesomed just for that fanart.
  • Generally, I use Vote Up for stuff I agree with, and Awesome for funny/stuff I like. As for Awesome being the new LOL (in a negative way), I doubt that. Its too positive for that.

    1. Spirit (Obviously. Especially her mori at the end.)
    2. Doctor (His LAUGH and stun grunts are amazing.)
    3. Leatherface
    4. Pig's Squeak
    5. Clown (I dont know, I think I have something with laughs.)

    Note:
I liked Kate's original voice a bit more, it fitted her character better.

  • Im mostly fine with the changes, but the one thing I would really like is that the inability to see auras while inside lockers was part of the effect from Distortion, as people have said before. I wouldnt even care if the perk even kept its current effect along with it (wasting tokens is extremely easy).

Tell me, we have David and Jesus, I mean Jeff.

Jesus? Come on. Robin Williams in Jumanji.

  • Leatherface is an amazing investment for the BBQ and Chilli teachable, just for the BP alone at the end of the match. I have it on every single of my killers unless Im doing a special build. As for his power, its not for everyone (not for me even), but he is played a lot differently to other killers, so theres that.

As for Clown vs Legion, I would go for Clown. Not only his perks are all outstanding, but he is a very strong chaser. Legion, in its current state, despite getting easy hits, they suffer quite a bit afterwards. They are the "new thing", which can make it interesting, but I would wait for their buffs to roll out first.

I just hate what BHVR has done this month. Starting with an incredibly buggy update, the new engine makes it look rlly bad for PS4, boring killer, and to even make it a lil worse they announced Christmas sweaters that everyone is hoping will be event based (for at least 1 free sweater) but they continue to leave us in the dark. With 10 days before Christmas, I think it’s very realistic to ask for some festive hooks, gens, kill shacks, etc. Instead of just bugs🤷🏽‍♂️
I dont think you realise how hard it is to implement an update to the game engine. Its not just adding a few buttons, its changing several mechanics. Its ridiculous not to expect bugs. Valid complaints would be based on how long they take to tackle them.

The new killer is up to opinion, that is why you can choose not to use it. And I dont really understand why complain about u released stuff.

  • The thing with Spirit and Freddy is that they are not fueled by being evil, its vengance.

Clown is still the most evil one out of everyone. He has an entire modus operandi. Even his description states how he let go of Benedict Baker because he prefers his victims to be unaware of his presence.

The way I see Legion, or Frank more like, is an early Clown. Not fully evil just yet, but eventually he will.

Myers, honestly, he may be evil, but he just kills. He gets no satisfaction out of it, I think? Clown does, he is a sadist.
  • I must admit I found Wally before Claudette.
  • slurrp first mindgames with her only work in the lower ranks like 15-20, so a good thing to use her for is mindgame survivors to the point that they actually thing you are attempting a mind game, she is really good at shack mindgames, if the survivor does not believe you at first being the phase shift and hit them, even if they are walking get lucky, then the mindgames can begin due to them not believing if your trying to preform a mindgame or not, now its time for perks

On the contrary. Mind games in low ranks do not work because low ranks do not understand how Spirit works. They just keep running to the next pallet. Mind games work a lot better in high ranks, but its about knowing when to mind game and when not to.

Perks that are good on other killers are somewhat bad on spirit, aura reading perks do not work while using phase walk so bbq is a terrible perk on her, but noed and ruin are decent, rancor is situational and not preferred on her due to her being easy to take down the obsession and the perk ds( I will explain that later) and her ability to phase walk works a charm with the perk bloodhound mixed with the add on fathers glasses(allows you to see blood while phase walking), 4th perk in my opinion will be surprising but using the perk bamboozle works well on her and her learning curve

Um... BBQ is OUTSTANDING on her, just like it is for Nurse and Hillbilly. Aura reading perks are generally bad on her, correct, but only those who you dont have control over. BBQ is the only perk of those who killers have full control of when it triggers. Just hook someone, check surroundings, acquire target, then phase. Same benefits as every other high mobility killer.

Spirit is not op. I ran one around earlier and never went down. I ran No Mither too. Survivors refuse to adapt/figure out how they play. See some using Prayer Beads and say she's unstoppable. She's easily avoided, and another 110 killer. Don't get baited by mind games and you're good.

Spirit is op now lol, beat her in mind game? When spirit's power makes her almost twice faster than survivors, even faster than the sprint perk.
If you know how to play spirit properly, you can literally beat any skilled survivors in mind game since her movement speed is ridiculously fast and makes her invisible. Yea spirit also cant see survivors but it really doesn't matter cus spirit will have much more information in invisible mind game(Sounds, movement of grass, blood and footsteps.)

It seems like killers in NA server just doesn't know how to play her tbh, cus around EA(east asai), Spirit and nurse is the most common killer you will be matched and just breaking the game near 1 ranks

But yes, you have to get used to her power and get skilled. She requires much more skill and experience than nurse or any other killers.
Tho that doesn't make her not op haha
For someone who deals with Spirit so much over East Asai, its interesting how you still haven't learned to counter her. Especially considering how her counter was literally stated by yourself in this post.
