I've been casually working on trying to get 100% trophy completion on PS4 and today I finally got all the killer adepts. I also apologize with all my heart to the people I slugged today trying to get that sweet 4k for the merciless.

Most of my trophies now are just to use the killers power to down people oh so many times or a few survivor ones which are just grind-y and not hard.

The few awful ones I have left are Tombstone Myers 4k, complete the last gen and escape while being the last alive and 250 unhook protection hits.

Not much of a point to this thread really. I'm just pretty happy and wanted to share my joy. ^_^

Anyone else a bit of a trophy/achievement hunter?

You need merciless? Rly? FML! I never cared much about achievements, but that changed yesterday for some reason. I finished off all survivors in two days. Now I was planning on starting with Killer later, but I thought ruthless would be enough. This is gonna be painful I think.

I don't understand why he got a CD on his teleporting at all honestly. Maybe against proxy-camping?

You could easily 3 gen or abuse "Make your Choice" for example.

  • Not really. As killer flashlights are easy to avoid most of the time. It also takes kinda skill to save someone with them.

Edit: Or do you mean getting blinded after a pallet drop is too much? Or both together? Still I don't think that they are unfair or something.

  • Against a halfway decent group you can't relax too much as a killer. I mean it's a 1vs4, right? It's a lot more relaxed when you're a survivor. You don't have to unhook all by yourself. You don't have to do every gen. You're not being chased the whole game. I mean it could happen, but it's unlikely. It's also a task sharing when you play survivor. As a killer you do everything on your own. One group makes your job easy and the other makes it impossible.

I know that some ppl think that solo survivor is stressful, but personally I don't see that at all. Yes, bad teammates are annoying sometimes, but I play Killer at Rank 1 and compared to some Killer games playing survivor is the chilliest thing in the world.

  • You don't need any addons on her. She suffers from some maps sadly, but definetly one of the stronger killers.

  • You just have to live with it I guess. If the rewards are good... It's gonna feel like a ######### thing, but it is what it is, right?

  • Sadly I never got 4 at once, but I won't give up! It will happen some day!

  • If you really don't want to receive messages you can change this in the settings on your console. You can also mute messages. Or you just ignore them? Don't let others intimidate you too much.

  • "I hope the survivors are getting times out as well."

    Very mature attitude, buddy.

  • I was dealing with a doc earlier. He used "Distressing", "Overcharge", "Unnerving Presence" (+ BBQ). He also used a purple and a pink addon. When I play Doc I don't use addons because he is already strong enough, so I don't know which addons he used specifically. Probably something that will make his TR bigger (if he has such addons). Whatever. Skill checks were literally so small that you could hardly see them. He was just chasing someone to get rid of pallets. He kicked gens the whole game and only downed survivors in bad positions. It worked pretty good for him. We had about 9k hours in total, but the only long chase he had was against me when already 2 ppl died and he could actually afford a longer chase with only 2 completed gens.

  • But you do know that they don't create killers within 3 months, right? It wouldn't surprise me if they could even release 4 at once if they wanted to.

  • He maybe thought you were making fun of him or something like that. Especially if you did something that triggered him... which may even be just unhooking someone or flashlight him on a pallet lol

  • @Dwigtht said:

Thank you Entity, that 10th one was Myers! I've been so glad to see him!

    Congrats! :D

  • Have you ever combined these two addons? It takes about 2 days to reach T3, but I assume you are talking about the two addons separately. Perma T3 is actually really good, but not really insanely strong. The other addon is actually quite weak. Myers has this tombstone piece(?) which, if you ask me, is much better than the ultra rare one.

  • Everyone must decide for himself what is a victory for him and what is not.

As you know, a common tactic among toxic PS4 survivors is to message a killer in the hopes that the killer insults them, and then proceed to report them, and have Sony ban their account.

Today, a toxic SWF group tried just this. Fishing for me to say something awful enough to report them. So, I tried reverse psychology, and by being passive aggressive, two of them eventually called me a racial slur.

I reported them, and their message, and just like that, all of their hours and progress was gone. Their PSN was banned, and they had to start anew.

Just a reminder to all excessivley toxic players. That cloth can cut both ways.

You know what I love about consoles? They actually take care and do something when someone insults you. Before I switched to PC I played on console. I reported some nasty people and sometimes so 1-2 days later, they contacted me with a new account and cried about it lol

  • And how do you know if they let you die or just couldn't save you? I don't refer to your game I mean in general.

  • I remember when I first started playing DbD. I immediately tried to get used to Nurse because I already knew she was the only REAL viable killer in the game. It took me many many hours to "master" her. Nurse was the first killer I ever wanted to fully prestige. She was the first killer I ever wanted to unlock all the perks on. She was the first (and to this day the last) killer who could handle any team you could possibly go against.

Good old times. I stopped playing her at some point, because the most games were just to easy. I just played her if I had to -> against hardcore teams you know. Then I heard that they want to change her, but let her base the same. They said, I am sure everyone from that time can prove it, that they won't touch her base too much. Minor changes at most. And that "minor" change killed her for me. Double cooldown on a killer.. wow. Until this day McClean things that with double cooldown addons you get the old nurse back, but that is bullshit.

I stopped playing nurse completely because this cooldown and fatigue thing gave me a headache every time I tried to play her. Also she's always been a magnet for bugs, but it just keeps getting worse and worse.

Wow. This has gotten out of hand here.

  • Yamaoka and Swamp.. damn I hate those 4 maps. Not because they are weak or something. I just think they are ugly as hell.

But didn’t you hear, mid-chapter patch 3.7.0 “decreased gen-time efficiency” and was “completely killer sided” while “further needing survivors”

•If you ask me though, this patch did absolutely nothing in terms of helping killers enjoy the game any better. Just look at survivor queue times, they’re the exact same as before.

Patch 3.7 has actually helped a lot. Most of the stupid god loops are gone. Huge maps are smaller now and I can definetly feel that. Plague map and Thompson's house for example are much more enjoyable for killer AND survivor. The main problem is still there of course (gen times), but at least we don't have to deal with gen times + god loops in combination anymore. I mean we still have Nurse Map and Badham, but I think these loops will be fixed soon as well. I am still hoping for a second objective in the future that could solve the gen rush problem.

Some of the killers and licenses being posted are NOT iconic or classics. They have to be well known among the general public, not just hardcore horror fans.

The only licenses that fit that build would be:

    • Friday the 13th (Jason)
    • Alien (Xenomorph)
    • Child's Play (Chucky)
    • IT (Pennywise)
    • Resident Evil (Nemesis)
    • Universal Classic Monsters (Dracula or The Monster)

Now depending on how generous Behavior is being with their statement one could stretch it to include the following:

    • Silent Hill (Pyramid Head)
    • The Ring/Ringu (Samara/Sadako)
    • Hellraiser (Pinhead)
    • Candyman (Candyman)
    • Slenderman (Slenderman)

If they ever decide to bring Pyramid Head or The Keeper (from The Evil Within) into the game I will probably lose my mind. That would be fantastic.

It can extend loops with no counterplay. Like if a Survivor messes up a loop or vault they can just Dead Hard to avoid being hit and make it. Even if the Killer knows the Survivor has Dead Hard and is expecting it, sometimes there's nothing they can realistically do about it

I know what you're talking about. It is just a classic second chance perk. As survivor you can mess up and still get away with it. For example a chase of 20 seconds can become 40 seconds if you just press E at the right time.

I almost always escape him, but most Docs aren't very good it seems. A top tier Doc can be a nightmare I'm sure, but a top tier any killer is a pain to vs.

    Well.. you misunderstood him

btw.: Yes going against Doc wouldn't be too much fun, but Hag could eat my guts at any time.. mhh

  • I couldn't care less about charms. But if they grant some BPs I'd most likely use them.

  • I would like to have some perk changes, but if people fall in love with changed perks they might change those perks again -> hangmans trick

    btw.: I like ur name

  • Ralph is amazing. Umbra too.

  • Most boring: Hag and Legion

Most Fun: Demo, LF and Oni - I just love them all

  • When I play Solo Survivor: Yeah. It feels pretty balanced to me.

When I play swf: Not even close. And I'm not talking about microphones or anything. Just 4 decent survivors playing the game without talking to each other. We only had an open chat when we had to say something important.

When I play killer: That's a tough one. You can get rekt, but in most cases you will do well if you are a decent killer. It depends. Should this game be balanced for the highest level? Then this game is still very unbalanced. Should it be balanced for average players? Then I think this game is pretty well balanced.

I don't agree with removal. However, a rework would be nice. I'm sure this was suggested multiple times but I think all Survivors should be hooked once before the Killer can actually Mori.

That would be ok actually. I still wouldn't use them because it hurts my killer honor to take the easy way out, but my survivor part likes this idea.

  • @NursesBootie said:

They should give him an UR where he can curve with his shred. GG WP.

    YES!^^

  • I am a Steve main. And Demo/Oni are my 2 most loved killers. So.. yeah I am pretty happy with that DLC^^

  • I know a few ppl who play nothing but KYF. Why should they just get free chapters? Doesn't make sense if you ask me. You can also watch videos about a new killer or play the PTB (at least if you're on PC).

  • @Waffleyumboy said:

    Maybe you should rank up?

He's probably already Rank 1 and I could even imagine that he is playing without addons/perks. What else can he do?

  • I barely see Ghost Face on red ranks. Maybe 1 in 20 games.

  • @MasterGrit said:

And lower his footstep noise too

Good point. Oni has the same problem. They stomp like there's no tomorrow.

  • Can't you feel the differences? I played two games. One with the Wraith and one with Billy. They feel so... bad. Billy is like a total mess. You can barely see his weapon, his chainsaw sounds weird, and he blasts into the air or something after every chainsaw sprint.

Just one example of how changing/stretching res gives survivors a huge advantage.

Wow. That's really disgusting and a huge advantage.

Information perks are never seen in meta while chase and second chance perks exist. Spine Chill counters (or just helps majorly against) all stealth/stalk killers and some more like the Spirit. I believe it is fine since the way it works is very vague and can be somewhat prevented by killers who realize you have this perk.

So its just a strong perk, we got even stronger ones too and everyone uses these so the game is being balanced(!) around them. Why nerf them when they can instead make more perks stronger and competitive with these?

First of all: Thanks for contributing something useful.

It is not a problem that we have stronger perks. But if we look at the others perks, there is a small difference. DS, DH, SB, Adre, Unbreakable... they're all effective against all killers. But Spine Chill counters a specific section. It also works permanently unlike those "stronger" meta perks I mentioned earlier.

  • @Waffleyumboy said:

Calm Spirit should also go too I guess...

    That was funny, good job.

  • @MadArtillery said:

I think there is one flaw to your plan. The moonwalk. It only took me two matches as Pig to realize I should always crouch to a gen sideways or backwards. Spinechill players are usually the easiest to grab off gens as a stealth killer because they rely on Spinechill too much.

This is kinda interesting. Over 500 hours with Spine Chill and not a single killer did something like that.

  • @Poweas said:

I have found myself slugging an obscene amount when playing Spirit or Kazan, to create pressure. Is that normal or is it a bad habit I need to get out of?

A good Oni will most likely slug. Most of the time you don't really have to slug with Spirit, but if you want.. just go for it lad. It is a legit strategy. When I play killer I also want the survivors to have fun, but sometimes you have to play "dirty".

  • @aregularplayer said:

it would be easy to do and cool, but would not give bhvr money and high probability of new bugs in the way, so you can forget it, they are not doing...

Many skins are affordable with game time (shards). Also original killers/survivors can be unlocked with game time. Theoretically you have to buy the battle pass once and then you can get the new battle pass again and again with the earned auric cells. You don't need to like them, but they are not horny for money. Obviously they want to make money, but compared to most other companies they do an amazing job with so much "free" stuff.

  • @Steel_Eyed said:

You’ll end up with meta survivors rather then people playing who they like

Why? Because Meg could recover a little faster? We'd still have a good mix of survivors, I have no doubt about it. We're not talking about big advantages. But even this could be solved.

  • Not gonna lie. These perks suggestions are way too much lol

  • You can actually take his brown blindness addon with you on every single game. Since you are a Freddy main you will probably never run out of them. You can even afford it, because he doesn't need addons to be very good.

  • Let them surprise us. They'll probably change something, but maybe it won't be a clear Nerf. A cool down on his chainsaw is actually what I expect, but they can't just put in such a mechanism and leave the rest the same. Then he'd be a terrible killer.

  • @Gcarrara said:

There has been no official announcement yet. Killers usually come out during new chapters. Chapter 15 came out on the 10th March, and we're going to get a mid-chapter update next.

Keep checking on news though for future official announcements on it. 👍️

Given the current situation I would have expected a delay.

Camping on a slug is the worst way to play around DS, and I have never seen a high ranked killer use this strategy. You either eat DS early or ignore the survivor for a minute. Slugging them is a waste of time and exactly what they want.

True. No one should ever wait for the (potential) DS timer to expire. You can definitely down the person and then go for another survivor. I think that's basic killer knowledge. Maybe some ppl prefer to pick the survivor up and get ds'd, but honestly I don't think this is the right descision.

  • Spine Chill, because I'm addicted. But honestly DS has the most impact. You don't even have to equip it and yet the killer usually thinks you're using it.
