Will there ever be any options for low end users?
Hello guys,
I wanted to ask if us low end pc users, would ever get some ingame graphics options.
Since the last update my custom config broke which was made for low end pc's like mine.
Me and many other people cant play the game anymore, we are a small discord community where we helped each other to make the game run.
I have all the licensed dlc's and almost 1k hours, and its a shame that i cant play it anymore, since this is my favorite game of all time, i even met my girlfriend from this game (were 2 years together now) and it breaks my heart that we cant play this anymore because of me.
Is it possible to bring the last update back where we could at least edit some lines to make the game playable? or at least some in depth graphics options?
I know that people will tell me here to get a better pc and work and bla bla but thats my private thing and i dont have to share my life with anyone here.

There are many people out there that don't got the money to buy a gaming pc so it would be really nice of the devs gave us some more detailed graphics options. It's kinda difficult, because some people abuse specific graphic options to get an unfair advantage tho.

Yeah, because of cheaters, we get all the backfire. It leaves us not being able to play anymore, while they can still play even if they cheated.
And yeah i know that the devs arent to blame on this, since they make the lowest requirements clear, but i just wish i would be able to play this game again with my gf.

i wish there would be an option where you could turn the mobile graphics settings on. Would also stop people from abusing the config files.
This game has a hide-and-seek component, and thats why its important not to be able to temper with grafics too much to avoid gaining unfair advantages. Yes, a Claudette is hard to see in a dark corner, but thats actually the point.
Sure, it would help low end pc users, but a lot of people would try to gain that advantage even if they dont need it performance wise.
Thats the thing, im asking for "some" lines to be editable. Like making the models look more polygony and ugly. Or at least to add indepth graphics options in the menu, since there only exist 2 of them.
Trust me, i made it run smooth with only the pooligony character line in the config file. If that would be an option in the game itself, it would not be a problem for low end users anymore. The thing is, people abused the config file for wallhacking and all that, because of those people, we low end users cant play the game anymore. And as i said i have almost 1k hours in the game, so trust me... you can play dbd on an low end pc.
And yes i also mentioned it above, that we cant blame the devs on this one, but it would be a good addition in the graphic settings.

Money isn't even the big issue right now. Even when you have the money, you simply don't get new parts very easy anymore due to this stupid lockdown going on around the world
That's bullshit. No matter what graphics, I simply elevate on high ground and scout the map. And I can see crouching blendettes. This is just a silly excuse
Settings we need for pc and console to make the game running much much better
AA (confirmed for pc only)
Vsync
Volumetric fog (huuuge impact on fps)
Real fullscreen mode (not that fake fullscreen windowed mode we have rn)
Shadow quality (big impact on performance)
Bloom settings
Motion blur settings
Fps cap settings
If we had all these settings we would be fine on low end PCs. Turning everyone above to low or zero could bump 20 fps to 60 fps with ease.
Thats all im asking for, or even more.
Hell every other game has like 20 graphics settings and dbd has only 2.
This would also fix the cheating issues.
As somebody who loves dbd and means soo much to him, i just want to be able to play, i dont mind 20 or 30 fps max.
I just want to spend time with my girl on that game.
I know people call dbd an optimized mess, but there is worse.
I mean i made dbd run on an integrated gpu (with 40-60 fps), i think thats optimized enough.
We just need more graphics options.
i forgot to mention, that with my low end config, i didnt hack or anything to see claudettes. I just made the game more polygony which gave me a huge fps boost. The models would look like ps1 characters. People abused object lines to see through walls and remove the fog...which is sad...
