  • I believe most survivors died, but they did not see it coming, like those people who got lost in the wood as you said. However, we know Quentin asked to be taken along with Freddy by some entity so he wouldn't be able to hurt his friends, if i recall correctly.

  • I am unsure. That could be great, but wouldn't it "humanize" the killers a bit too much ?

  • You should post this in off-topic.

  • He is one of the three killers i play the most, he is very fun to play as.

  • Just run Franklin's Demise if you are really afraid of key-holders, this way you'll get rid of the key (by "damaging" the item).

WARNING: SPOILERS FOR BLOOD, BRASS, AND GRIT!!!!

Now that that's out of the way, why did The Entity take Evan Macmillan rather than Archie? Based on the last few entries of BB&G, Archie definitely killed his wife and brother. He quite possibly was the one who blew up the mine, and then Evan killed him to avenge his friends. The only other explanation based on the entries is that Evan blew up the mine with his dad inside it.

But the cinematic is what confuses me the most. In it, we see Evan working in the mine, hearing something, seeing his father beating the snot out of a worker, then he wakes up with bruised knuckles and looks at a picture of himself and his father. I see two interpretations of this.

The first is a literal interpretation of this as a memory. This would line up with the description for Macmillan's Phalanx Bone (the map offering for Macmillan Estate) which says Archie's body was found in the mines. Presumably, Evan then hastily blows up the mine to kill Archie or kills Archie and blows the mine to hide the evidence. However, there are two problems I see with this: first, why is the boss's son pushing a mine cart? And second, how did Evan's knuckles get injured?

The second interpretation is a symbolic approach that looks at the cinematic as a dream. This implies Evan saw himself as on the worker's side rather than his father's and saw Archie's anti-union actions as killing the workers and blew the mine with everyone in it to kill his father and make it quick for his friends.

What I think happened is a little bit of both. I think that to make the cinematic, written entries, and Phalanx Bone work, what happened is that Archie blew the mine, Evan killed him, but then felt guilty and somehow put his father's body in the mine so that he, Evan, would take the blame and his father's memory would be untarnished.

But however you interpret BB&G, it's pretty clear that Evan was conflicted, and Archie was just plain cruel and selfish. So why didn't The Entity take Archie? It's not because he died, that's never stopped The Entity, and based on the pieces of metal in The Trapper, he had to be tortured into obedience, so it wasn't convenience. I got nothing here; what do you guys think?

Evan was taken like everybody else for his potential to become a killer. He was very sensitive and then conflicted at first. We know what happens at the end, but it is very surprising he had to be tortured for a long time for him to finally submit to the Entity.

It appears to me the original killers are not evil in the first place. Trapper was conflicted, Wraith killed for justice, and Hillbilly was just a savage boy and probably had a "territory-holding" mentality (a bit like Jason).

Excluding the Human killers that just have a bad attitude or mental illness (Legion, Pig, Michael Myers, Ghost face, Clown, Bubba), which killer would be easiest to Date? Like actually go out to a Restaurant and commit to a Date.

I'd allow Huntress to be considered since she's almost a feral animal herself :p

Huntress if you commit to her wild lifestyle!

  • The most important aspect of the Lore is the Entity, we must understand the Entity, how it thinks, why it does these trials, and how it can communicate.

I just decided to post this answer to encourage you to keep going on with the research, i hope you will find something interesting. I will check some of these items out, and do my own research and i might post something eventually.

    Good luck.

I am pretty disappointed with Yui's story and I am pretty impressed with Oni's backstory. Here's why:

Yui as a character has no development or personality beyond the "strong independent woman" archetype and the idea of women's empowerment. Neither of these things are a bad thing to have as aspects of a character, but that is all she is. There's nothing more to her. She has no flaws, she has nothing about her personality that makes her human, and she seems to exist only as an idealized icon character. She goes through no internal hardships. The only things that ever prove to be negatives in her life seem to be external, and all various male stereotypes. Now before someone jumps down my throat calling me sexist, I will repeat myself. There is nothing wrong with women's empowerment or the "strong independent woman" archetype being a part of a protagonist. The issue is that Yui is a very shallow character. This is what's called a mary-sue in film making. A character who has no flaws and no development, and always comes out on top just because they are awesome.

Now on the opposite end of the spectrum is The Oni.

Kazan was raised in a veteran family who had served as samurai, who Kazan had grown to idolize while growing up. Kazan wanted more than anything to be one of those noble samurai like his father. As he grew up, he began to despise the changing times and the people who were now being accepted as samurai. He saw their flaws and less than perfect ways and set out on a morbid journey to cleanse the honor of the samurai by removing these people. He went on a long bloody path of murder. Eventually he earned a name for himself and was feared as an Oni (which is a Japanese demon that is similar to the Western ogre, but is smaller, much more intelligent, and evil.) Kazan eventually cut down anyone who stood in his away, along with his appointed victims. One day a samurai blocked Kazan's path and he killed him. This turned out to be his father. This was a tragic part of The Oni's story and displays just how far he had fallen from grace. Instead of blaming himself for this, Kazan blamed the feudal lord, and set out to kill him. He succeeded and was then killed by the farmers of the village who had loved their lord.

In this story, Kazan is depicted as a person who wants what is good, but has a deeply flawed personality due to his ever increasing standards for honor. At some points in the story, Kazan questions his actions, knowing somewhere inside of himself that what he's doing is wrong, but he is honor bound to complete his goal. He becomes more and more resentful of the people, as they grew more and more fearful of him. He has actual character development. He is a very different Kazan at the end of the story than he was at the beginning, but still has enough in common to draw a logical path to how he became that way.

This is good writing. Among the best writing in Dbd. Yui's story pales in comparison, since Yui lacks any of the qualities that make a compelling character. It sort of reminds me of Game of Thrones season 8. The plot points themselves could have been good, but the way we arrived at them are so contrived that we are left unable to really appreciate them. Her story had no development to speak of. Just bullet points on how she got from place to place, things happen, then she comes out on top because she's awesome, then things happen, then she comes out on top because she's awesome, eventually ending up in this race that was never mentioned before and getting pulled into the realm of the entity.

Now granted, she does have the best visual design out of any dlc characters in my opinion. Her pink ribbon is a good part of her model. It's just disappointing that she doesn't really have a personality.

In a way, Yui is the total opposite of The Oni, and a sort of "Nemesis".

The Oni carries traditional values, and heavily despise people dishonoring such values. Yui is a "strong independent woman" with a very unique look, and to me it looks like what Oni would hate the most.

That is how i see the both of them, they are the complete opposite.

OK sooo I don't know if someone did this already but what if all the survivors are dead.

I know crazy right but listen meg, claudet, jane, dwight ect. were never found so claudet fell asleep on a bus when riding home she could have gotten in a car accident and died. Meg she was running in the wood she could have fallen from a fatal hight hmmm. and detective tap he died in the franchise and came to the entities realm explain that????

before you tell me "wow but their bodies would have been found" the entity would have taken their physical body and bring it to his realm

tell me your thoughts on this

I believe most Survivors are dead, there are many hints at that. The problem remains about Killers. As far as i know, we don't know if/how Wraith, Hillbilly and many other died, although we know some others died (Pig).

Since I have nothing better to do, I decided to put together a timeline for when each Killer's story took place. This took, honestly not that much time, but some of it is obviously questionable. And since a lot of these stories could have taken place during a large time period, obviously some Killers are in the wrong spot, but this is the best I could do.

Obviously, Adiris the Plague is the oldest Killer in the game. Babylon existed during 2300-539 BC. Using the knowledge that all the other priests got sick, I interpret that as towards the end of Babylon's reign. But since every time I look up Babylonian plagues, I instead get an album from a band called Iced Earth or the Ten Plagues of Egypt from Exodus, I'm just going to leave it at that. Either way, she is infected (likely through that toe she chopped off, exposing herself to the plague) and exiled herself. I will say this though, since it confuses me. WHY DID THE ENTITY TAKE ADIRIS??? NEVER ONCE DOES SHE KILL SOMEONE!!! Either way, she was desperate and prayed to her gods, and got the Entity instead.

Kazan Yamaoka, or Oni-Yamaoka was a samurai (though his actions make me believe him to be more akin to a Ronin, or samurai without a master, as his father, likely Renjiro, was his master and DID NOT approve of his actions. Plus the whole patricide thing). The question is from what time period. According to several sources, a former peasant by the name of Toyotomi Hideyoshi became a samurai and would eventually become one of the leading men of Japan, roughly around 1590, succeeding ODA NOBUNAGA. After this, he banned non-samurai from owning swords, in an attempt to keep Japan safer. You were either born a samurai, or you weren't. So Kazan has to be from before this time, as he was brutally murdering hundreds of peasant samurai. The period that Hideyoshi (Japanese names, at least back then, were family name, then personal name, so Kazan is actually Yamaoka Kazan, but it makes sense either way) ended was the Sengoku Period, from 1467-1600. That's a long time period to work with, but I'd say he's from around the middle of it, around 1530 to 1550ish, but that's just me.

Anna the Huntress comes from WWI. During the last paragraph of her backstory, it is mentioned that German soldiers are "on the march to attack the collapsing Russian Empire." Notice it says RUSSIAN rather than SOVIET. The German invasion of Russia occurred in 1914 (although I am currently unable to find that information now. Stupid Google search not liking me). She was taken by the Entity after the war ended, in 1918.

Sally the Nurse appears to either be around the time of WWI or WWII, judging by her outfit. If she is from WWI (EDIT: March 6: Which I believe to be the case due to her base outfit saying it is from the early 1920's, not mid), it would make her the third oldest Killer. But if she is from WWII, then Kenneth/Jeffrey begins before her. But his is a bit complicated, and will span a few other Killers' backstories.

Either way, since two decades pass during Sally's backstory, and I don't think they would change the Nurse dress code simply because of money restrictions, her story seems to end around (based on her being from WWI) the 1930's (EDIT March 19: which her base cosmetic description seems to infer) or (based on her being from WWII) the 1950's-1960's. She kills everyone in the asylum and presumably crashes the ambulance, killing everyone in it, before getting the Entity treatment

As I said, Kenneth's backstory takes place over a long time. We actually have an exact year for it's beginning. "Kenneth Chase was born in 1932 by a difficult labour, which his mother wouldn't survive." Doesn't get any more crystal clear. The last year mentioned is 1954, which also coincides with when I believe Evan the Trapper's backstory to occur.

Given that Evan and his father very clearly don't allow a union, they are either relatively new or really picking up speed. And given their extreme measures, I would believe unions to be nearing their peak in all honesty (also, since unions were around since 1881, they can't be a new thing, since Anna's story occurs well after that, and remember, she is the second. Obviously, Evan blows people up, and the Entity gets him.

While all of this is going on, the Cold War is in full swing and the CIA is likely getting Soviet spies. And who was hired by the CIA for interrogation? Herman Carter. The Doctor. Mr. Lag Attack himself (seriously, my computer is amazing but I lag every time against and as him). Presumably, he was hired around 1967, as that was when the Institute became a front for the CIA (thanks again Rattman). More on this in a bit.

Kenneth, now going by the name of Jeffrey, goes on for another decade, bringing us to the 1960's once again. I honestly can't tell how much time passes, but eventually, he rides his carriage into the Entity's realm. I'd say this takes place around the 1970's, but again, there are no real markers to tell us.

We pick back up for a brief moment for Herman for the 1970's, as the Institute thrived, and Project Awakening began. But there isn't too much else to tell for a little bit.

I'm just going to put Lisa the Hag here, in the 1970's, but she is one of the really annoying ones. There are NO markers to tell us when her story takes place (except for a few things about her home being from the 1800's, like the lightbulbs and paddleboats, but she wasn't before Anna), but I'm placing her here since, from what I can tell, the 1970's brought a resurgence of witch culture, which Lisa has plenty of. Even her WIP name was the Witch. But again, her story could have taken place at any time.

Hillbilly and Rin the Spirit are in the same boat. I would place Hillbilly sometime between the 1970's and 1980's, which is when the Poulan 306a was in production. Why is this important. Well... once again, there are no significant markers for Hillbilly, but I would assume he and Leatherface use the same chainsaw. (EDIT March 19, they VERY clearly don't use the same chainsaw. Just compare them for yourself at the store. I did however, while looking through things, noticed that the Coldwind Farm says "After the horrific events of 1972, the building fell into disrepair and eventual ruin." on the Thompson House map. So, that might be the best time to put him.) If someone can actually tell me what model of chainsaw Hillbilly (who is UNNAMED officially, but the wiki calls him Max Jr. [Edit - as DocOctober brought up, he is named Max Thompson Jr. in an official artbook, although his lore makes no mention of it for some reason) uses, then do so. I'm not a chainsaw expert.

Rin is the MOST complicated. Her story has no years, no significant events to talk about, and none of her add-ons help. I thought that her baseball cap would be something, but sport caps were invented in 1849, which is WAY before Anna. Then something caught my eye. "That evening, Rin came home from work. She'd stayed late to entertain customers that lingered at the restaurant. As she parked her bike in the shed, she heard her mother's scream the house."

As she parked her bike (I have no clue how to increase the font size here, so bolding will do). What's the relevance of this? Bikes weren't introduced to Japan until 1971! I can't place her exactly, but I can tell her story takes place after this. We will have to deal with this.
Of course, that was no help. As GamingZebra pointed out, the Japanese military used bikes in their invasion of China in WWII. So Rin is a serious issue that needs addressing. She is probably pretty modern, as PigNRun says, since she was working at a young age and her father was a salary person, but we might have to wait for something more concrete with her (got it, as I'll explain below).

If you count the licensed Killers as canon (which I do), then Leatherface arrived in 1974. My evidence is plain and simple. Texas Chainsaw Massacre was released in this year. Although, I have personally never seen the movie, so this could be different and I would have no idea.

Same goes for Michael Myers. Halloween was released in 1978, but I can actually find the timeline there. The movie starts in 1963, then 15 years later, Michael goes on his killing spree. 1963 + 15 equals 1978, so that adds up. But I am not putting Freddy here, because, like it or not, the in game Freddy is from the remake.

EDIT (January 17): The Léry's Memorial Institute was condemned in 1983, allowing us to take a break from liscensed killers and finishing off Herman Carter. After his experiments become torture to find mind control, he murders everyone and the Entity finds him.

~~Also in 1983 (winter, probably after Doctor was taken), we have the Demogorgon... I think. I've never seen Stranger Things, don't have Netflix, so everything I know about it is from the wiki for Stranger Things. Now, from what I can tell, the main Demogorgon that was seen was in Season One, taking place in 1983, with the ones in Season Two not being full grown, and only being seen in the final scene of Season Three. Seems pretty self explanatory.
Then I read the items. We have things from Season One (Barb's Glasses) and Season Two (Mew's Guts). This throws everything out of order. On top of this, the map is a mish-mash of everything AND some original stuff, and the Survivors are wearing their Season One outfits by default, but their quotes are from all over the place. And the lore is VERY vague about everything to do with Chapter 13 (and I hate this kind of lazy storytelling). Even the way the Demogorgon was taken is not in its backstory, but rather hidden away IN ITS POWER!!! And it was just a hole that opened up and swallowed it. Nothing about how the Entity controls it, or how the Demogorgon reacted. Nope. Just a hole in the ground and boom, we have a Demogorgon.
Through all of this, I have lost my mind several times over, and still can't confidently place it. So why 1983? It makes sense. This is the Demogorgon that we saw in the first season (well, everyone but me it seems). I mean, sure. This could just be some RANDOM Demogorgon that the Entity RANDOMLY decided to grab... but that's just boring. And it matches with the design of Nancy and Steve being from Season One (and say what you will about them being older than 16 and 17, even in Season Three, they are 18 and 19, still below the normal age. You say they are from Season Three, you break the "No teenagers" rule, and you will have a hard time explaining it away. Avoiding bad PR is good, but you can't expect everyone to believe it forever). This IS the ORIGINAL Demogorgon. It's the only thing that makes sense. And yes, I read that the original got blown up or something... but be honest. Do you REALLY want a boring, RANDOM Demogorgon over the original one that we had?~~
(EDIT: October 15) So. We have a problem. As Mikeadatrix pointed out, the Demogorgon we have uses the Season 3 model, seen at the very end. Because I have never seen the show, I assumed they were pretty much the same model from the first season, but it turns out they are not. From a logical standpoint, and the one I now believe to be most likely, this makes this the Season 3 Demogorgon. It makes sense. The items, quotes, map, everything. It works with this being the Season 3 Demogorgon. from a story standpoint, however, it's... disappointing. And it just doesn't feel right. It makes sense, but it doesn't, if that makes any sense. I guess it's better than a RANDOM Demogorgon, but not by much. So, 1985 is my current final answer.

Next up, we have Philip the Wraith. I put him in the 1990's as this was when the Russian mob appears to have been the most active. Why am I talking about the Russian mob? Philip's boss is named Azarov. Azarov is a Russian surname. He disposes of people using a car crusher. To me, that seems like a VERY mob-like way to get rid of someone. On a side note, why DID the Entity take Philip. Is it the same as Rin, where the Entity picked up on his anger or something?

For all the hell that Chapter 12 was, from Danny Johnson's initial powerlessness to not having a map or Survivor, there is one thing that they did pretty well. The lore. Told in the style of a newspaper, we get to somewhat know who Danny/Jed Olsen/Ghost Face really is. And they give us a pretty much exact date. The newspaper is a week old, published on June 18, 1993 (can we just appreciate how this is also his release date? Again, for the hell that it has been, BHVR has seriously impressed me as well). So he was taken roughly around June 25, 1993. Thanks for making my job easier here.

The Legion would be in the same boat as Rin, maybe even worse, if it wasn't for Susie. Normally, I wouldn't consider cosmetics to be canon, but the devs seem to have out of their way to give us a year with Susie that I'll consider her two cosmetics canon. Her sweater on both of them give us the year 1996 (also shown in their photo that takes you to Ormond). They kill the janitor and get grabbed by the Entity (unfortunately, as I've figured out in the past, they are NOT grabbed with Jeff, which is a wasted opportunity and a half).

EDIT: As of January 15, I have actually found something for Rin. It is far simpler than I had originally believed, which is probably why I missed it in all honesty. The university she goes to, Takamatsu, wasn't established until 1996. Meaning this is the EARLIEST year she can be from, and I'd wager that she's probably later than that. But that's as far as I can go with her.

The final two are easy. Amanda's story includes her death from Saw III. "She failed the test and took a bullet as a consequence. Bleeding out on the tiled floor, darkness engulfed Amanda's vision, accompanied by a sound like creaking wood." With Saw III being released in 2006, it feels to me like that is when her story takes place.

And once again, Freddy Krueger is from the 2010 remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street, likely because they couldn't get the rights to Robert Englund's character, so they settled with Jackie Earle Haley instead (I know people are going to hate me for this, but I like this version of Freddy a little bit more, just without the sexual predator part. Englund's version got a bit too comical, and I like the burn effects).

    TL;DR
    Plague (Roughly 539BC)
    Oni (Around 1530-1550)
    Huntress (1918)
    Nurse (1930s/1950s-60s)
    Trapper (1954)
    Clown (1970s)
    Hillbilly (1972)
    Leatherface (1974)
    Michael (1978)
    Doctor (1983)
    Demogorgon (1985)
    Wraith (1990s)
    Ghost Face (1993)
    Legion (1996)
    Spirit (Post 1996)
    Pig (2006)
    Freddy (2010)
(Hag has no clear time markers, so I left her out of the TL;DR)

That took way too long to type. If there are any glaring issues, please tell me. I'll see what I can do to fix them.

Wonderfully written, I am glad to finally see somebody recognizing that Anna comes from WW1 (Russian Empire..). Regarding the timeline, either killers came one by one throughout History (and so, in a logical way, Plague came before Spirit and Anna), or we can also admit the Realm of the Entity is outside from Time and Space, and therefore for instance a killer from 1914 could be there since before a killer from the times of Babylon.

  • Well. To me bug fixes must not only be during chapters, it should be throughout the months and years. However, an entire chapter dedicated to fixing many bugs, reworking many killers, after months of studying the problems of this game and listening to the community (especially using the forums polls) would be very interesting however, and i am sure many are ready to skip one character chapter in order to make this game better for everybody.

  • Imagine survivors suffering so much throughout trials they end up turning mad and get reused by the Entity as killers.

It would be such an interesting concept.

He is a little more fun to play but he's still awful. He needs some serious buffs or a complete overhaul. I am actually so sad right now, not even angry, just sad.

Ever since Legion got release he's been my favourite but he was hated and I was shunned for playing him. Then his rework got released and he basically lost what made him fun. He was so slow and his power did really nothing.

But I have stayed strong. I knew he would receive buffs eventually. And I have waited. I have waited half a year to receive almost nothing. I have lost all hope. I have always played Legion, no matter how hard and painful it was I enjoyed playing him because I liked his disign and lore. But recently it has become impossible to play him. I'm almost crying at this point. I love this character so much yet all I get is a slap in the face for trying to enjoy playing him.

So I decided that I'm done with him. I'm done playing him. He is just not fun to play anymore. He's just a forgotten garbage killer whose ability almost never works and even when it does it does little to nothing.

LEGION NEEDS SERIOUS BUFFS. How long will it take until he will become a viable killer? A year? Two years? Well I'm done thinking about that. The devs just killed my passion towards this killer and that makes me sad, extremely sad.

If you have read all the way through here you have my thanks for reading another loser Legion main crying. Please, upvote if you feel the same way as I do. Maybe a miracle will happen and the devs will finly do something about The Legion.

I perfectly understand, nothing wrong with complaining. Legion is very fun to play, even after the nerf, but to see him getting a few nerfs is a bit worrying, because it shows they are going down a path and might continue to do so.

Legion doesn't deserve all that hate.

  • I have heard Bill's sweater will be a free cosmetic. I suggest buy the two DLC characters in priority, or directly buy the chapter and keep some for cosmetics (which is what i did).

  • Usually during weekends i try to play during the afternoon and evening, but most of the time i have class. A few games after a long day in university always feels good.

  • Not a vet here, i have 200h and i already have my 1M BPs ready.

  • What in the hell.

So if i want to check behind a tree/wall near the hook if i am convinced there's someone there, i can't ?

    That's obviously a troll.

  • A killer rework shouldn't be taking a whole chapter, it should be fixed with time, thanks to feedbacks and monitoring. The same goes for most problems of this game btw.

  • Bubba for the perks and how simple he is to learn/play. And he's pretty powerful once you know how to play him.

  • Iron Will on Meg changes everything.

  • Yes. But most of them don't. And the fact Plague can indeed talk confirms that other kills CAN express themselves but choose not to.

  • Check all their perks, and try to decide which one would be the most useful for you.

I'm not familiar with much in the way of literature, so if that's the inspiration I'm unsure. But in Greek mythology there is a God named Hephaestus, he was the son of Zeus and Hera, but was so hideous that Hera cast him from a cliff into the ocean. A sea nymph raised him and he became an amazing blacksmith, often making jewellery for the sea nymph who raised him. When Hera found out about this, she invited him to Mount Olympus. When he arrived, he presented a jewelled throne for Hera but when she sat on it, she was trapped on it. In order to release her, Zeus offered Hephaestus Aphrodite's hand in marriage in exchange for Hera's freedom. It's not quite the exact same, but it was the first thing that sprang to mind. Sorry for the wall of text :P

That indeed could be in the roots of all types of stories based on this theme!

From what I found in tvTropes, the trope about “someone ugly/mad that is hidden in a house” seems to come from Jane Eyre, a gothic romance novel, publicized in 1847 and generally, seems to be a trope from that era of the ghotic horror,at least the “locking up people inside walls” part. And as mentioned, a family rejecting a son from being ugly has been in forever, so they probably combine those two to create the backstory of Hillbilly.

I also think that, in slashers, that backstory of some slasher villains tends to be that they were deformed and hidden from the world in some way until they get free and start killing, like in the reboot of Black Christmas or in that halloween episode of the Simpsons.

Thank you for the very precise answer, i will go check these out!

Wasn't it: Get 3 survivors hooked while EGC is active?

I can't recall and i am not home at the moment, so i cannot check, but if you're right, then to me it's almost impossible and extremely situational..

  • That's what i've been saying since the very start. It was obvious some challenges were going to be way too situational, and that's why I just hated challenges we had to do during a single trial.

Level IV is going to be painful, too bad for people like me who want to collect the lore of this game.

  • Some of the challenges are too situational in my opinion. If i recall there is one about unhooking two people during the endgame.. Good luck with that.

Get ready for the impossible Level IV almost nobody will manage to complete.

  • Definitely this one. Leatherface deserves cosmetics btw.

  • I would say Sharp Vision is the best one. Feather Ritual is too op in my opinion, Bloody Scent seems pretty useless to me since Iron Maiden is a thing, and Mortal Mark is also very interesting to keep Gen Pressure.

So i would say Sharp Vision and/or Mortal Mark.

It's part of my standard kit and I run it even if there are no items in case of last second changes. The feeling I get when I see a white ward is something out of this world. Depending on the killer you can even camp the items.

I've legitly stood on top of them as Wraith and caught people off guard when they come back to grab them. It's hilarious.

It's such a fun perk that not only helps get rid of some items but will waste time when survivors go looking for them.

Probably my favorite perk in the game honestly.

I was thinking about making some kind of build including Nurse's Calling, Hex: Ruin, Franklin's Demise, and maybe Monitor & Abuse. I wonder if that would be efficient, i'm still a beginner as killer tbh.

  • I'm hesitating between Stake Out and Tenacity.

definitely YES, I can imagine a map of Crystal Lake with Tommy Jarvis as survivor and generators inside cabins and the basement in Jason's house!

Finally.. Someone asking for Tommy Jarvis. I would be so happy to have him and Sidney Prescott ( from Scream ) in the game. And then again imagine all the Cosmetics possibilities, especially for Jason ( the potato sack from Part II, the damaged Hockey Mask from the latest movies, perhaps even a Jason X full cosmetic! ).

I take the philosophy that if they have a medkit they don't have self heal so it could be very useful to get rid of it. Also if its a single charge kit one hit from Franklins is enough to stop it from doing a complete heal?

Toolboxes on the other hand I feel only save a few seconds. I generally feel my perk slot is better spent elsewhere. That's my philosophy anyhow - right or wrong.

Do you think such combo against the Med-Kits could also go along very well with Sloppy Butcher? ( so Franklin's Demise w/ Sloppy Butcher vs Full Med-Kit team of survivors ).

  • @Rex_Huin said:

I think its worth taking if there are multiple med-kits but if I only see toolboxes I don't bother.

If there are torches I take Lightborne.

Keys I usually don't notice they are so small..

Well perhaps with Toolboxes it would be very useful, because gen rushing.

tie between trappy boi and spirit. trappy because 1 pallet stun is gonna shift those hooks. also beartrap oof. wiggles would also shift hooks so ow.

    spirit should be obvious

Oof, never thought about it, being Trapper must be painful. But i'm sure he's a pretty resilient boi, he must be used to step into his own traps now. :-)

  • @MegaWaffle said:

I'm saying "yes" to the hook struggle (thanks to ping sometimes killing you) but "no" to shoulder struggle.

Both are not the same. " Shoulder struggle " is simply called " Wiggle ".

  • The funniest and weirdest things about hair physics in this game are ponytails (especially on Nancy).

  • Even when using other means such as scrolling down/up, it is just annoying. It should be automated and we should make the choice to give up or not, it would be better this way. I know the counter-argument is the devs made it a thing so the player would constantly be stressing out, but it keeps you waken up nonetheless since you are waiting for somebody to unhook you.

Kinda makes me wish the killers talked... would be nice to hear voice lines. I get why survivors don't but it would have been nice to hear them express their thoughts on the hunt, the entity, the survivors, etc in game....

Then again I main Demogorgon and he is fairly uhh...vocal about how he feels.

They also mentioned killers can actually talk but choose not to.. then again.. devs..

  • Well with Sprint Burst you can use it whenever you feel like it, while Balanced Landing is kind of situational to me.. especially during a chase. And God knows i love to use BL.

  • Hard to tell.. i remember reading the answer of a question more or less related to that, from the devs:

" 66- WHAT HAPPENS TO THE KILLERS WHEN THEY FINISH A MATCH? DO THEY ALL GO TO A PLACE SIMILAR TO THE SURVIVOR'S CAMPFIRE, OR DOES THE ENTITY KEEP THEM SEPARATED IN THEIR OWN REALMS?

"They are not kept together. They are all in their own place and not really enjoying themselves." "

  • That 30 seconds thing is such a huge nerf. I'm against it.

  • These are very interesting answers! Especially about the Nurse!

    @TheRockstarKnight said:

    Nurse easily.

    Nurse

    • Not only is blinking extremely physically painful (the devs have said as much AND you can hear her screaming in pain for yourself) but she is suffocating beneath her mask even when she doesn't blink.
    • She also clearly retains memories of her previous life as a caring and compassionate person, as evidenced by A Nurse's Calling's flavor text and how she gently caresses the Survivor's face after her Mori. In addition to the physical pain she goes through in every trial she seems to feel remorseful about killing Survivors/wants to help them, but is forced to murder them.
    • That's to say nothing of how tragic her backstory is, or how her now few of her add-ons are mementos of the people she used to care for.

    Doctor

    • The Doctor's brain is constantly under intense stimulus. He feels pain on a daily basis no doubt, but how much it effects him is uncertain given his propensity for giggling even when stunned. Likewise his feelings and thoughts are unknowable. He enjoyed torturing people in his previous life though, so if he feels any emotional or mental stress over his current condition it's probably born out of a loss of control over himself rather than anything else. Doctor could be a close second to Nurse, but there's no real way of telling.

    Trapper

    • Trapper's mental state is that of a beast now, according to his perks; so while his physical pain is probably extremely great, he's apparently not cognizant enough anymore to have any psychological or mental pain.

    Hag

    • Hag is a desiccated corpse that knows only hunger. Her physical pain is probably intense, but I don't think she's suffering emotionally. She made a deal with the Entity for revenge against the people who wronged her and her people and this is the price.
    • If anything her gusto with which she seems to enjoy feasting on Survivor's hope and flesh, indicates that it's a price she was more than willing to pay for revenge; or at the very least that she has learned to live with her new monstrous identity.

    Spirit

    • The Spirit's emotional and mental pain is obviously great, as evidenced by her tortured expressions, but she doesn't have any indication of suffering the same sort of intense physical pain the other Killers on this list might.

Let's also not forget Doctor's eyes being constantly opened by force, same for his mouth, that would be my nightmare.

  • Some of his abilities are hard to master, but he remains easier to play than Hillbilly. So far i would say he is perfect, then again with time perhaps we will find some flaws and ask for a nerf/buff!
