  • Wraith didn't do anything wrong, he realized he indirectly caused many deaths and so decided to take revenge on his Boss. Hillbilly is too nuts to even show mercy, and Trapper, as we see in his new Lore content, became ruthless and merciless with time.

    So yeah, definitely Wraith.

Was doing my final archive challenge, trap 4 people in one game. Wasn't looking forward to it. I dont like playing trapper.

Try 1, map red forest. Trapped around tight spots near gens, All gens done in less than 7 minutes. Again i hate trapper.

Try 2, map red forest. Trapped shack. 3 gens done in less than 2 minutes. No one went near shack. At the end i downed one. Dropper her near a trap. Set 2 more. Swung at it. Picked her up let her wiggle free. All her team came amd instead of stepping in them they started disarming them.

Try 3, map temple of purgation. I said screw it. Went to shack messeged everyone to step in traps. They finished gens and came to step in traps.

I felt dirty. Like i was cheating. But really those maps with pretty much a rookie trapper.

I apologize to all killer mains. I worked with the enemy. Into the void i go.

Hey. It's okay. I've played a friendly game of Trapper and let people step in my traps ( i just stood by without hitting anybody, putting traps down ), and then i helped them farming for the rest of the game and let them escape.

Nothing wrong with that, it's okay to help each other doing challenges. There's BPs and Lore behind these, and you can help Survivors getting BPs as well, to me it's a good enough justification and there's nothing wrong, you didn't cheat.

Well the Hag withstood prolonged extreme pain before she 'turned'...so she gets my vote.

I'm hesitating between Spirit and Doctor, but it is true Hag must still suffer such extreme pain and .. hunger ( duh )

  • I enjoy playing Legion.

  • Yes i have realized that my question was pretty dumb xD.. i realized it was "Whispers" only now because i have finally decided to try it, and oh boy is this useful :)

  • I would say The Oni, but The Spirit and The Nurse too since they are ghosts. Myers is pretty resilient so he is one of the strongest as well.

  • The Entity doesn't take people because they are evil or ever killed, it takes them into its realm because they have the potential of becoming Killers.

The Spirit for her anger and thirst for revenge, for instance.

  • The Pig needs a buff. In my opinion, she should be the next one to have a rework.

  • Nah. They shouldn't be separate killers. Would be a mess.

  • Make him taller than Peppa Pig.

  • I am triggered you didn't include Gender-Fluid or Attack Helicopter.

  • Agreed. But where is the poll ?

  • Having to do a 4K only with the three basic perks would be better..

  • That's a very stressing game, especially when playing Killer.. can't blame you, take care.

  • Well. It's tricky. Sure, why not ? But they have to make it not too childish-like so it fits into the DBD universe. So i am unsure about that, but if they can make it fit, perhaps.

  • Legion was already nerfed, and it's getting nerfed to oblivion once again. I hope they wont do the same with The Pig.

It does not reward anyone for Skill. Iridescent Heads are thrown from like 1 meter away. And it does add nothing to the Huntress gameplay. If you are a decent Huntress, you will be good with Iridescent Heads. But you will most likely not go for more risky shots.

So either should Iridescent Head be hard-capped to 1 or 2.

OR it should have a range requirement to actually reward skillful Huntress players (like at least 30 meters away for the Insta Down)

OR it should have a completely new effect (e.g. what I have read on the forum: On a successful hit or down (I prefer down) they refill all Hatchets without the need to go for a locker)

In a way, I imagine a very skilled Huntress wouldn't even need the Iridescent Head in the first place.

  • I love every single of these maps as a Survivor, so my vote counts as which map i hate the most as a Killer.. Sadly you didn't add preschool to the list, to me it's just very Survivor-friendly, many places to hide.. and oh boi, the basement just ruins my FPS and it's just so easy to hide there as a Survivor. Haddonfield is the second worst as a killer to me.

  • @NoOneEscapesNancy said:

Just stop being a lil wuss and play the game

I'm just asking people for their opinion, simply. I recently played a game in which the Huntress had such add-on, and i found it pretty unfunny to play against. Of course you can always dodge the hatchets if you have skill, but still, it can feel pretty bad to not be able to escape because the killer can just NOED the hell out of you without having the exit gates powered yet.

    @Todgeweiht said:

I mean, i feel like i dont have much room to complain, i am a PS4 player and the amount of goot huntresses there are here is miniscule, i have faced like 4 iridescent heads in my whole gameplay experience and of that 4 games I escaped 3.

That's a very good argument, indeed it is pretty rare to encounter people using the add-on, and even very skilled Huntress can be uncommon to find. However an argument is still standing, and that is the same anybody could have against the Ebony Memento Mori: It may be rare, but it just sucks to play against it.

    @Karl_Childers said:

Rewarding players for their skill argument is laughable when it comes to iridescent hatchets. Now, if they were to give a distance requirement to actually get the one shot effect....then we can talk about it being more skill. As it stands it’s very OP and there’s a reason Huntresses with actual skill don’t use them. It’s cause they know are BS

Totally agree! If it was more about a distance requirement, which would require you to be very good at aiming with your hatchets, that would be respectable. Still it would remain horrible for players standing-by (survivors not moving because they are unhooking or opening the gate).

It's just how humans are, I mean just look at the rift pass. I'll bet a ton of people bought it not because they like the cosmetics but because this may be the only time they can get them which makes them feel special ect.

Ton of people ? I must disagree. I immediately bought the pass for the cosmetics and because i wanted to fully get the experience and rewards for putting many hours in this game. I love cosmetics because they look nice, and because i like to have my " in game avatar ".

Not all of us who spend their money in this game to feel special, but because we love it.

  • I hope it's a joke xD

If not, well, it's a mask, watch Saw and you'll understand why ^^

    /SPOILER\

In a nutshell, Amanda ( and some other characters working for Jigsaw ), were wearing that mask when kidnapping somebody to put them in a game. It has something to do with the fact that Jigsaw's child was supposed to be born on a Pig year, but was lost because of a junkie #########. There's more to it, i recommend you watch the movies.

  • The worst part about this is lore is locked behind these hard challenges. And quite frankly i just hate challenges you have to do in a single trial, just unfun, stressing, and people end up just wanting to do their challenges and don't play fair anymore.

However, it feels GREAT when you finish one challenge and get all these bloodpoints and the lore!

EDIT: besides from this criticism, i love the idea of the Archives and the Rift, it's kind of a " Campaign ", in a way, but too flawed.

  • Well, in a way, if you have noticed, the licensed killers weren't tortured/forced to do the Entity's will, they accepted because they like to kill or because it fits their philosophy ( Amanda ).

  • Wraith, it's just so fun to go through the map while cloaked and to surprise survivors while they're working on a gen!

  • Trapper is the face of Dead by Daylight, and i have always been intrigued by his lore. Seeing how much we are learning about his past through the Archives, there would be a lot of potential in a Trapper movie.

  • Every challenge i had to do in a single trial were very stressing..

  • Completely disagree, the map is one of the most beautiful in the whole game, and you can actually do some nice loops if you know where to go.

There are also very decent places to hide from the killer, such as the first level of the laboratory, up the stairs.

  • @anarchy753 said:

It's amazing how many people don't know about a dumb interaction that makes no sense at all!

It's like Saw is all about people TRAPPED inside games, not free to leave with their gruesome machines still on.

It's like this was the laziest possible answer to the conflict between RBTs and EGC and a huge nerf Pig didn't need.

Btw Jigsaw puts people in these games, but they can escape and redeem themselves. Amanda doesn't believe in people redeeming themselves, which is why she works in a very content way for the Entity.

Still, i agree with you, the mechanics of the Pig are not well made.. She should have a rework, although i loved the idea of the traps in the first place.

  • To bring up a solution there must be a problem. To me hex perks are not a problem.. killers, by choosing an Hex perk, sacrifice a perk slot for another perk they can lose any time.

It's hard to destroy if you're against a good killer, but it's hard to defend as well.

  • Absolutely not. Why would the killer even communicate with the survivor in the first place ? Even if they want to give the hatch they just have to let the survivor wiggle and not putting them on a hook.. also they can already shake their head and i don't think t-bagging is a good thing to do.

  • I don't mind rank resets at all, and there are positive points but they have already been brought up, still i think it would be weird to have everyone staying at the highest ranks..

  • They should have a penalty in BP gain, and perhaps also be deranked ( although it would probably cause problems to newer players )

  • Then again many people don't have the time to play every day..

  • I'm halfway through the Rift already, i think we have enough time to complete it.

  • Never. That's one of the things i like about DBD: you don't have voice chats. I think the pre-game chat is good enough, and how do you wanna have a strategy if you don't know what map you're gonna be one ( except with offerings ) and especially what killer you're gonna be up against ?

  • This.. or a map rework.. Rin's father as a killer seems less plausible to me. But then again that would be a nice surprise!

  • I almost never do it, but if i do it, then there's a very radical reason. When you play against a very toxic player who keeps t-bagging you and spamming his flashlight in your face, it's the end game and you finally got him.. well.. it's kinda tempting.

i'd really love to see more lore on the wraith. he makes absolutely zero sense, i want to see if they can actually form a decent character/story without retconning the nonsense they've established thus far xD

Agreed. I've read his lore. He just killed his boss because he made him partake in organized crime without him knowing.. and he ends up sacrificing more people for the Entity. Then again perhaps he was simply tortured, like many others ( Doctor, Trapper .. ), but his lore is too incomplete. Hillbilly deserves more Lore as well, i think.

  • Well, i guess you are right, but maybe this new tome will come hand to hand with something linked to the Spirit, a rework or something else.

  • Well, there are tomes about Claudette and Trapper, and also about the Alchemist and the Entity, and there is also an other tome, but we don't really know what's inside, so i thought maybe something would be linked to Spirit.

  • To people saying i shouldn't think too much about ranking up, the reason i said that is because below Rank 15 it is extremely difficult to find a game. In fact it takes usually more than 15 minutes and i often end up in almost-empty lobbies. But again this time i was lucky enough.

    @Carlosylu said:

    Ok, here you go:

    1. If you're on console remember killer is host, so, check your connection
    2. Break pallets and/or gens and use your killer's ability, don't just go around smacking everyone to get a fast 4k even if it's a "noob survivors" lobby
    3. Get everyone through all hooks until you kill them at the 3rd hook (don't camp to get them to loose a stage)
    4. Let them unhook by going away and letting survivors get safe rescues, then come back for the hero, not the previous victim.
    5. Slug the 3rd victim to assure the 4th doesn't get the hatch and get the 4k

If you do all of these you'll get a double pip almost every game (I'm a red ranks killer, xbox) and people will hardly DC cause you didn't camp and gave a fun game for everyone.

IMPORTANT: If you're not a great killer without tunneling or camping find the one you're good with cause pips and BP come for bolder killers who let survivors have a chance.

IMPORTANT 2.0: If you just like killing others and to feel the power of the killer you're using don't worry about pips or BP, just have fun killing everyone by whatever means necessary

Yes by respecting these few rules i actually managed to get a couple of 4K games.

U need to play overperforming killers. On real note please dont even try to rank up u will regret sooner than u think

What would you call " overperforming killers " ? I usually play as Wraith, Legion, Huntress and Doctor.

  • Welp, ironically right after writing this post, i had a bunch of good games against Yellow ranks.. Looks like things got better. The problem was that when i was below rank 16, i almost never found matches, but luckily i did and now i'm yellow rank.

  • I started playing last month, DBD is my girlfriend's favorite game, and she wanted me to try it so we could play together. We first launched custom games, so i could learn about the basics.

The very first thing i have learned is about Terror Radius and crows making noise ( i spawned near that big building with many crows flying away to alert the killer you are entering it ).

  • I find the " Poll " way too biased toward " Yes ". I would never say that solo players should be punished for being such. The idea of a perk is to have an advantage, that's the own point, and you don't necessarily need Kindred if you have, for instance, Empathy or other perks.

In a nutshell, no, i don't think it should make it as something everybody has, would be too much of a buff for Survivors ( and i'm a Survivor Main myself ).

  • I'd love to see Jack Ripper or Jeepers Creepers, and there are tons of better choices ( the Nun ). I wouldn't mind Pennywise, but i don't necessarily am super hyped about it. I'm pretty indifferent, but i'll still be happy for an update.

  • I think i wouldn't have camped, but i wouldn't have spread myself too thin throughout the map. I would have tried to patrol around the area, but indeed, if the hatch was there, you wouldn't have much time to react.. It's very unlucky indeed..

I once had to stay near an hooked survivor because the others were trying a strategy to make me go away by making me chase them, but it was too obvious and as soon as i had my back turned, they unhooked the person.

Never forget you're here to have fun, you can make strategical mistakes, but it's fine, and don't listen to toxic people.

  • I can understand the arguments in favor of it. But what about when the poor soul unhook himself right in front of the killer ? I don't think it would change much.

  • I bought it last month and i don't regret! I already spent some money on this game as well.

  • About the Archives, Lore ( one of my favorite things about this game ) shouldn't be hidden behind difficult challenges. When you look at the fourth level of the Archives.. it's insane.

  • They're kinda cute, especially that Claudette plushie.. but unfortunately i first thought they would have an actual purpose ( Bonus BP ? .. )
