i don't get it when people say: " i don't main him anymore because he got changed!"
isn't there something more about maining a Killer only because he's strong? You don't have the "Special" Connection to a Character? or am i the only one who thinks in that way?
Like me as example, i main Doc since the release. So i know how bd he was, but never left him. Because i liked everything on him. Not only if he's strong or not
I agree with your opinion. But i can definitly understand if people just stop playing their favourite character if it got stressful and boring due to an unjustified change. Nurse main btw.

Billy is still playable. You just have to think before you use your chainsaw now. I like Legion, Freddy and Clown. Those are my favorite killers.
Edit: Forgot to add Pig. She is super fun to play!
Well, actually you need to turn your brai off while playing billy rn, because every chainsaw mindgame makes it impossible to actually down people afterwards with the chainsaw. You need to get to the survivors back, rev the chainsaw and down them. No mindgames allowed.

The OP is a new account named "NERFDOCTOR", totally not a troll for sure.

If you don’t wanna admit that’s a HUGE advantage you’re kidding yourself
It's really good, but not instant. xD

I think they will introduce this exact version of him, fix none of his bugs and ignore him and every feedback about him for the next years. Just like they did with nurse.

Old billy.

All you see around here is a very vocal group decrying the Billie nerfs. But these nerfs are very warranted and Billie feels very oppressive at red ranks and tends to snowball games very hard and very quickly if you get 1 teammate who does not know how to dodge. These nerfs are very welcomed by some. Keep it up BHVR :)

Could i get clips from both of you playing new billy on the PTB? Would be hilarous to see you try and try and try again and try...

Good luck relaxing when you aren’t brining gen perks and they’re popping left and right lmaooooo. Every time I try to play a relaxing non meta perk build I get rushed into oblivion.
When you wanna relax feom flashlight counterplay dude. xD

Well, OoO is not overused too and we all know how broken it is.

It's nice when you wanna relax.

So you don’t know exactly what the devs are thinking
you don’t know what’s going to happen when the PTB hits live

I don’t even know what to say here.
An assumption on countless past examples that prove it. Nurse rework is just one of them.

"Instasaw" is 36% faster than normal. Just fyi.

Bubba is really strong, Billy got killed judt like nurse. Gj on bubba BHVR.

If you’ve hooked 2 people within 60 seconds then you’re doing great and DS is the least of your problems. I don’t see what the issue is.
The issue is, that the survivors can be smarter in the next chase. Or in a better position. You don't get infinite chances to win as killer.

I said before the ptb that depending on his addons it might not be that bad. Never mind. It is that bad. I wasn't optimistic going in. But damn.
I knew it as soon as they announced the billy "change". xD

Exactly like everyone predicted. Horrible rework, just like nurse. (it's funny how all those "it's minimal guys it will not affect billy at all" - people are silent now btw)

Smack him to the ground and now you’ve got a slug next to a hook. Perfect situation. If he already got the unhook then slug him until it’s been 60 seconds.
And if it's a 58 second DS that i can't predict, because i downed and hooked two other people in that time? DS is definitly NOT fine until situations where it gets clearly used offensively are patched out by additional conditions.

So all stealth killers can bypass BT and DS as well? Horrible idea.
To the OP - The counterplay to DS is slugging and/or going for the rescuing survivor rather than the one that got unhooked.
What if the rescuer got actuve DS too? Well, ggwp huh?

Well you have no idea how long you can still back rev for as there is no ptb until tomorrow so I wouldn’t assume things cuz you know what they say about assuming and any ways your not suppose to rev forever get close rev the saw until it’s fully charged and down them done and done if you are somewhere you can’t do that zone them to where you can or whack them
You don't even know what flick billy is right?
-
It messes with your muscle memory. Shadowborn on all killers or on none, i chose none.

Yes?

Someone’s mad lol the billy is barely a nerf and doesn’t change how you play if you don’t backrev for 30 seconds
Baseline you will be able to rev for ~8 seconds before overheating i guess. This essentially kills flick billy.
-
Deathslinger is good, but still 110%.
Plague's power is inconsistent.

To limit the use of his chainsaw only slightly. It's not supposed to be an impactful nerf, it's just so Billy players can't spam their chainsaw too much, because it is such a strong power. Which is also great against his camping potential.
Let's see how often we will see billy after the nerf.
-

I'm sure if the overheat has too much of an negative impact on being able to play curve Hillbilly effectively, they'll tone the overheat down.
So why will overheat be introduced in the first place then?
-
@slunder said:
@hahahillbillygobroom well, its true that a lot of billy add ons are broken, but here they nerfed his base kit, which is skilled based, and the amount of crutch add ons players vs the amount of fair Billy users is very different. most of the time, Billy players will not use a broken add on combo. This does come from someone who does not use perks and add ons, so maybe I am wrong.
@ad19970 true, but he requires skill, which makes it ifne and deserved. Also, go watch Ussylis play against him to understand the counter-play. Also, they are a lot of worst things like camping that the devs should focus on instead of nerfing a killer that is based on skill.
@NursesBootie well, basing an opinion for a killer on the best build is not fair: the strongest build for Billy is very rarely used compared to a normal Billy build.
@ad19970 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1417438#Comment_1417438
I don't know, but I don't think it will be weakened in any significant way. I guess it depends a lot on how fast his chainsaw overheats, but if it does go too fast, the devs will probably make changes to how fast his chainsaw overheats.
I didn't ask to judge him with his best build (that's rarely used, because it needs a lot of skill and training). I asked how the @ad19970 would rate flick billy after the nerf.
I'll explain the issue most people have with the billy nerf again, just for you guys.
Like at least one of you realised, flick billy gets nerfed the most by this "slight change", because one engraving would go for more overheat.
Why do we nerf te most skillfull billy build, but keep cheesy builds like instasaw SF+Enduring Bamboozle?
-
@ad19970 said:
Hillbilly is insanely strong, and he honestly still will be after this nerf.
There certainly have been people complaining about him just having a tad too much going for him. A very small nerf like this won't hurt him though.
How strong will his best build, flick billy, be after the nerf in your opinion?

My opinion that can be investigated at any time. Balance=
If you can play 5 matches as killer and survivor each
And you are able to survive/get at least 2ks at least 2-3 out of the trials. Then the game is balanced.
You will see that it is not the case with survivors (unless you're playing with swf and running a coordinated trial- which in this case you would be part of the problem).
I will remind you that those who play swf friends literally play sweaty 4 team swats so chances are as a solo survivor you are never going to survive a trial by being carried by a swat because they exclusively play 4 team only.
So as an assuming survivor playing the game to just play the games (without skill) because most players don't have skill you probably will not survive a single trial out of the 5.
Ergo no balance
That's because most survivors in red ranks are boosted as hell at the moment and the matchmaking is screwed. What do you expect?

W.e guy. Talking about taking serious and discussing my argument is very neutral and factual. Saying as it is not everyone that plays as survivor is skilled. Survivor gameplay has changed so much due to the fact the before the nerfs survivors did not have to rely on each other in order to survive.
Nowadays yes in order for at least 1 survivor to survive you have to trust that their are other survivors working on gens and not hiding or distracting the killer and not leading them to other survivors working on gens
Im aware that this is not the case with swf but for the most part the biggest balance with playing survivors nowadays is that other survivors do not play altruistically
No i do not mean by game definition of altruistic: unhooking and taking protection hits.
I mean intentional body blocking. Hiding in the the area behind a survivor working on a gen and vaulting as to lead the killer to them. Or trying to lose a killer in chase by leading them tp team mates working on gens.
A trial almost always guarantees you have a match with two skill-less players with chances of the last two survivors being 1 the guy/gal that carries the team (unintentionally as the goal to survive is to complete gens so you have no choice but to), and the douche bag that sabatoges everyone else. Usually product of a player who gets hooked once or twice after intentionally playing against the killer toxically and then tries surviving by getting everyone else killed
Well, that's not my experience. Usually at least two people bring DS, in my survivor and killer matches. I basically never miss my DS skillcheck. But i agree with the solo queue problems to an extend.

Well, you're a bit rude, but i'll do it, although there are already many posts in the bug forum and examples on youtube&reddit.
First come the gamebreaking bugs:
- not being able to perform your second/third blink for the duration of the match
- not being able to blink AT ALL for the duration of the match
Now the hindering bugs:
- not being able to perform your second/third blink sometimes
- random blink distance reduction
- various deadzones on many maps (too many to count, the middle of sanctum; the space around the center of lery's and a few parts of hawkins are just examples)
- after getting stunned by a pallet (most times, sometimes random), nurse gets a double/triple fatigue
At last the annoying, but not hindering bugs:
- the hand of the nurse performs a slowed/speeded version of the blink charge animation when charging your blink
- the sensivity in fatigue is greatly reduced sometimes
There you go, that are the ones i see quite often, i think my fellow nurse mains got a bunch to add.
This is still up to date. /necro

Iri heads are OP. They take no skill. Throwing whales and getting an easy instadown is no skill.
I support changing it to be like Deathslingers instadown. Have to hit an accurate shot from a certain number of meters away.
How good would you rate slingers iri coi if i may ask?

I don't have Clown or Plague so two of those are ones I can't do (I'm relatively new as I've been playing since February but I have bought all the Licensed DLC since you can't unlock them normally so most of my focus has been on using them)
I am slowly unlocking the original peeps since I've played often enough to have the shards. I just unlocked Oni as he looked like tons of fun and I was going to wait for the next Archive Selection before unlocking anyone else since I want to be sure I have the survivors/killers for each Archive unlocked.
I'm playing since 2016 and got all perks on P3 myers, so i got a bit of freedom with choosing my perks. xD
Oni is definitly a lot of fun, so good luck with him. :D

I like that we finally got a counter to forced blinds at lockers.

I use Blood Warden (I use BW on most of my killers with a one shot mechanic), BBQ & Chill (basically just for the double BP), Surveillance (basically every killer I have that on as I love the information it gives you and how many survivors just are not very smart about hopping right back to gens immediately after I kick them), and the fourth one usually changes around but currently is Thanatophobia. I should change that since I pretty commonly go for the T3 attack but I like having it on as my "just in case" kind of perk if the team I'm playing against has people who are good against Meyers and realize how to put stuff between them in chases.
I will definitly try "Bloodwarden" on him, never done it for some reason.
My build consists of: BBQ, PGTW, Dark Devotion and Fire up. Pretty fun to catch survivors offguard with DD. :D

The only time I would have sent a message in anger to someone ( good thing Xboxs "recent player" list for whatever reason failed to update so he wasn't on it or I may have gotten myself a suspension) was some ######### teabagging Meyers at the gate when I was unhooking someone because of course, Meyers gets T3 from it, ######### gets away, and ol Tippy gets punished for ######### stupidity.
I play as Meyers a lot and it's amazing how many survivors either don't put objects inbetween themselves and Meyers during a long chase or just flat out stare down Meyer. Do all these people just somehow not understand the very basic powers of a killer?
There are indeed a lot of players that don't seem to play killer at all. xD
Do you like "Fire Up!" on Myers btw?
-
Again: DON'T. DO. STARING. CONTESTS. WITH. DADDY. MYERS.!.

Yeah i think flashlights should get a rework, at least their addons.
Get countered by my Myers with "Fire Up!" btw.

@SloppyKnockout said:
Billy will still be a great killer. This change will really just prevent people from just infinitely back revving, and abusing him w/infectious. Other than that, a top tier Billy player will still rip ass with him. It's just, you know, they'll actually have to be good at Billy to do it.
I'll explain the issue people have with the nerf again, just for you.
Top tier billy mains mostly either use crack billy, an addon combination that most likely will be nerfed in the rework, or double engravings. With those combinations you can mindgame loops, billy's counter if survivors know what they're doing, by reving your chainsaw until it's nearly fully charged and then baiting for some seconds. With the upcoming changes this will most likely be impossible or at least way way worse, because you will have to switch out the engravings for overheat addons.
So yeah, the nerf will basically lead to more boring instasaw SF+Enduring billys. Is that what you want to face as survivor?

27 year old man thank you very much. No adult is going to whine about a game that balances things out for both sides of the games so that everybody has fun.
Killers all have powers. Survivors really don't.
And i will really stress that your argument is very whiny. Any survivor that brings ds is acknowledging that they are taking a one time ability that is a situational 50/50 because they have to succeed a skill check.
In other words they are using up one of their only 4 perk slots for something they might not even be able to use as opposed to running an ability they can actually use.
Running a hex perk as a killer has better odds then ds
Yes, killers acknowledge that one the hex ruin is cleansed, that they literally brought a perk that leaves them with an empty perk slot but the perk is actually effective from the start of the game up until the ruin is cleansed-and even so, killer are able to protect the ruin depending on gameplay style
If you want to be taken serious and discuss, i would not call DS "inconsistent", because of a hard skillcheck 27 year old grown man.
-
I just feel very sorry for dedicated flick billys that put hundreds of hours into him just to get rendered to uselessness by a completely unjustified "slight tweak".
-
Woop woop!

Although everything in this list is true, the complete ignorance of every issue nurse and nurse players got is just sad.
