Honestly, I feel like that is too strong.
IMO it should just make it so that it damages by one state if you break a pallet and then hit somebody, but if you chainsaw them without a pallet it still one shots.
That way playing smart around loops via curving is still encouraged (assuming the nerfs don't gut that potential, but I remain open minded till the PTB), without making pallet chainsaw hits too strong.
THIS is a good idea!!!

Well how about crouching near hooks? I know it's tough if the hooked person is in the basement, but everytime i play hag I'm flabbergasted at the number of survivors can stick this into their heads.
Why not play around her power and make her slow speed play against her instead of asking for a nerf? Billy nerfs were announced mere hours ago and people already asking for more killers to be nerfed?
I really don't want her to be nerfed. I want her to be more of a fun killer to play mainly.
-
I think the sacrifice you make is simply too high. It's just like "Torn Bookmark".

Honestly, I dont know. It would need to be tested, but being less oppressive at Unhooks for a better Chase Potential is nothing I would say "No" to. If it turns out that Hag is more enjoyable to play as and against and she has roughly the same Power Level, I would totally be happy whatever they would do.
I mean i know why the devs made her 110%. They want hag players to rely on her ability instead of just chasing normally, but that often leads to scenarios where a survivor gets hooked and just spammed with traps. Maybe such a change would alter her general playstyle positively.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Personally, I would love to allow to walk (not run) over Traps, but Buff her Basekit as a compensation (like more Distance, faster setting Speed).
But yeah, currently, if someone is in the Basement against Hag, they are dead. I dont go for Unhooks in this case, there is no point.
Would be interesting. The buff to balance it out should be 115% then imo.

Easy counter to franklins: Killer camps item? Do gens, you got 90 seconds. Killer doesn't camp item? Pick it up and drop it again, memorize the location.
It's really not looking that good at the moment. With 30 or 40 seconds it would be worth running.

It's just adding a skill cap to billy. Probably won't affect his performance all that much
It's lowering his skillcap. No flick billy anymore.

There was this video of really good billies curving insane angles. They pretty much rev for a while before they get the correct positing and timing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxbLxLZJS5E&t=538s
It would suck if such skilled players who dedicated so much time to curv properly would be punished by overheat.
That's why the overheat mechanic just not fits to billy. It only lowers his skillcap and leads to instasaw SF+Enduring billys.

Some of his add-ons are straight-up broken. Same like old survivor stuff that got eventually, and rightfully so, nerfed into the ground. If your idea of fun is game-breaking stuff, then you're better suited single-player games.
The real problem here is the basekit changes.
That's what i think too. Let them nerf instasaw addons. But for the love of god keep his basekit and balanced addons like engravings.
-
@PrettyFaceKate said:
Maybe they'll make more accurate hitboxes (wouldn't hold my breath). In line with the trend, they might make it so that she can't hold a hatchet forever.
However, I'm calling it now. She gets a simple add-on pass. I think the devs really like Huntress. The only thing in a long time they touched that affected her was the survivor hitbox when working on gens or healing.
Well, they also like how billy performed...
-
Bubba's buffs are nice, Billy's nerfs are not reasonable in any way.

Because a killer with unlimited instadowns on demand and the ability to cross the map back and forth with no cooldown was perfectly balanced right?
Unlimited (charge-up, non-free directional, easy dodgeable) instadown and good mobility. It's not braindeadly easy to use the instadown you know? Good survivors use windows and tiles in general to keep billy a M1 killer. The nurse nerf was discussable, but billy's nerf is just simply and objectifically not good and balanced.

Dropping pallets early works with no stacks. But when you have one stack he is way to fast. It's only if he comes at it at a bad angle and they immediately drop it that he's in trouble.
At worst you waste every pallet in a certain area where your protecting gens.
Like i said, he's good with it, but counterable completely if a swf knows what they're doing.

Please refer to the comment above for more details. I couldn't be bothered writing it twice lol
I'll just add a slight bit extra info.
- 10 second chases? Check
- Snowball? Check
- Avoiding dead hard? Check
- 3 gen guarding? Check
- Sexy? Check
He's extremely good when you play him. If you play him smart he is definitely low A tier and that's if you go add-onless.
He's quite good with nemesis+PWYF. Still counterable with pre-dropping tho. He's not as bad as people think, but not higher than B-tier.

@gatsby said:
Maybe you should try the PTB, you know when it releases. Instead of complaining about speculation on based on unfinalized gameplay with no numbers
It's pretty obvious from what we've seen that the overheat bar rises very fast when you keep the chainsaw revd. And that's what flick billy needs to do to catch survivors at loops. So yeah it's a fact and not a speculation.
-
I'm also not angry, i never played billy that much and will just ignore him from now on.

Yeah bad billy players (imo anyway) use this build with instasaw.

No, because we won't see a lot of billy's.
Sorry, i meant in correlation to the number of billys we see at all.
So the one billy we see in a decade will use SF+Enduring and Bamboozle.

Are you asking if I believe the statistics? Yes, I believe the stats. Could we use more updated stats so the community can better understand the need for changes? Of course (hint hint bhvr). But for now we go with the facts we have.
Thanks for admitting that you think nurse is the worst killer in the game. Makes you look a bit...let's say special.
I don't think i want to keep discussing with you if you believe in obviously flawed and outdated stats.
-
@NuclearBurrito said:
High skill billies will be the ones most effected by this.
This is because the most skillful part of his kit is how to use his flick for anti-looping. And if you watched high level billy gameplay (which to be fair I only did recently because of these upcoming changes) then you would know that doing this involves feathering the saw for upwards of 6-8 seconds to bait the Survivor to get out of position. Now while that may not be strictly speaking impossible, if you take into account the heat needed to get to the Survivor in the first place, you'd often reach the Survivor and be unable to do a flick because of the cooldown.
If you are a low skill Billy, then this won't matter because you don't know how to properly flick the chainsaw anyways. You'd either go for backreving (which you can still do) or M1ing.
But at high level this removes your primary means of anti-looping entirely. This isn't like other cooldowns because most cooldowns in general happen AFTER the action is taken, thus if you already got the value out of the power anyways then it being unusable doesn't really matter all that much, however the cooldown in this case happens BEFORE the action is taken, meaning it can deny your ability to get that value in the first place.
This is exactly what i thought as i saw the changes. We will see a lot of SF+Enduring Billys after the nerf.
-
Apart from the fact that billy was 100% fine, the devs said they want to increase the skillcap of billy's chainsaw with resource management. Guess what, very skilled billy's use both engravings to curve loops. Against good players they need to keep their chainsaw revd for a few seconds to bait. To do this they need to use some new addons instead of engravings.
So bye to really skilled billys and hello to SF+Enduring crap billys. Well done!
-
According to the stats nurse is the weakest killer in the game. Do you believe that too?
-
Yeah gearhead seemed like a fun perk to track gens instead of thrilling, but then they, well, nerfed it badly.

I would say anything is, then I remembered Matchbox and Torn Bookmark.
Yep, Torn Bookmark effectively only gives you the downside, because the third blink is actually bugged. xD
-
Better than the oneshot addon.
-
Nurse on PC is awfully bugged and so is nurse on console.
-
Goid change imo.
-
Well, you can tryhard as much as you want, coordinated SWF teams are more powerful than any killer. Spirit got a chance if they're not optimal tho.
-
Chill is fine imo. OoO is overpowered on the other hand.

Only buy the pass if you are able to finish it.
What I like to do is buy a pass, finish rift, earn back the auric cells and save for the next pass. Rinse and repeat. Save money
I believe a new rift is introduced 2 weeks after the previous one, I might be wrong
That's what i did. I still use the auric cells from the first rift. It's like a DLC with constant cosmetic updates.
-
Better than it's current (trash) form imo. It's only worth it on killers like legion or forever freddy, that stack up numbers.

Wasn't the glowing thing found to be completely false or graphics related so not everyone could see it?
It's still skin related. Some skins got the effect, some do not.

I think it's a good perk that is the only reason snowball killers like myers, oni or trapper are playable in high ranks.

Maybe I could change strats.
Its just right now alot of my kills come from the end game as NOED allows to down one of the survivors who is trying to get to the exit and hook them.
Then you know how survivors love to teabag and wait for you to chase them out of the exit. Well because of blood warden, when I come near the exit they'll find out they can't escape and hide, but because it shows auras who are near exit I know where they are.
But it's just I don't have any other strat ideas atm and I don't know if I have enough good perks to initiate them
The problem with NOED plus Bloodwarden is, that good teams just search the totem while Bloodwarden is active.
-
I would replace thana with monitor&abuse and get rid of NOED+Bloodwarden alltogether. If you look out for buying new DLCs, bubba and ghostface are good options due to "I'm all ears" and "Barbeque and Chili". Maybe Ruin and THOT are options to replace NOED+Bloodwarden.
-
It makes the perk actually kind of useable, will be fixed in no time. :D

Generally the survivors that use it to be toxic arent going to be attentive enough to check that, plus a huge chunk of their enjoyment likely comes from seeing the killer's aura lumbering around the other side of the map
This discussion is not about toxicity or enjoyment, it's about balance.
-
Killer: nurse, but i seriously think about getting into another killer, because BHVR seems to ignore her mountain of bugs forever
Survivor: Kate, because she is the closest one to me irl. (Joke i'm ugly af)

Ghostface, Wraith, Pig, T1 Myers, and any other killler/perk/addon that grants Undetectable hard counters OoO, and you can still see them with it. If you can catch them with it, anything that applies Blindness also helps.
Please edit it to "soft counters", because the OoO icon still shows the direction where the killer is. Free premonition without a CD.

Fun Fact: If you don't tunnel or camp, both DS and Borrowed Time are useless to the survivors! You should try it! (it makes them so mad when you don't let them use their perks!)
BT is abuseable due to 32m range requirement on most killers. DS is abuseable due to 60 seconds requirement. Both need tweaks to make them stronger against camper/tunneler and weaker against fair players.
-
The cosmetic team differs from the balance team.

MAP is just garbage. That perk is fine on most other maps, especially for solo survivors.
So three SWF members using the upside and not suffering from the downside is fine?

I played this morning and got instant Survivor Queues. But if I play Killer during that time, I have to wait almost 10 minutes.
Its just stupid that people still want to push this narrative "There are no Red Rank Killers anymore!". When Killer queues are long, you dont read "No Red Rank Survivors anymore" in this Killer-sided forum.
My killer queues got longer too, but not as long as my survivor queues tho.

Only for red ranks would be cool. Hit the great or miss the great!

Well, on the other side I am not surprised they chose tru3 as their victim since he has a bad behavior and is toxic and salty as well and blames other's for his own mistakes all the time.
I know him as pretty educational and rational, maybe he changed in the last weeks?

I use autodidact, bond, spine chill and an exhaustion perk. Not optimal by all means but fun for me.
