No it's not the same - one is ranged, the other is an AOE. Try ducking his attack.

No, it's not. The only similarity is that the survivor is guaranteed to get hit if they lock themselves in the drop animation if the killer has winded up.
Well, that's why i said "essentially". You can't duck his attack, but you can either reaction dodge or reaction DH it. That are the main differences to huntress. If you got problems at pallets against him you got bad reactions.

Wasn’t drunk.. got drunk afterwords thanks though
Feel you lol.
-
You got problems against huntress too? Because the counterplay at pallets is easentially the same.
-
Definitly. Not sure about surveillance tho.
-
I hope not, free BP are a gud one.
-
I like a killer that shakes up the meta.

Nobody will switch their builds for one killer out of twenty, who sometimes still have to trigger them. Besides that many hook related meta perks for survivors often even get used, depending what's happening in the game. People are already used not using ther perks sometimes, which doesn't mean it isn't a little bit annoying for them.
But it's at least a start.
-
Poor Clown.
-
He should have 115%, but it could be a bug too.
-
PH gets no BBQ or PGTW from it too. My guess is that you always run hook related second chances like DS and BT. That's your problem yknow.

Except the killer knows (hopefully) that he will be in the game and pick perks based off of that. The survivors do not have the same luxury.

As with plague, as with freddy, the whole cage mechanic just straight up denying perks is lazy and awful game design. Only good part about the cages is the changed struggle phase. You have a very limited loadout as is, you should not have to gamble on being allowed to use it every other match. There is better ways to shake up metas.
That's the problem yknow? Perks like Autodidact are situational, DS is not. With the introduction of PH hook related perks gonna be a gamble too in a way. I like it.
-
That's the reason cages got introduced. To motivate people to use other perks than the occasional meta perks.
-
Yes.
-
Sad.

Because tunneling and camping are strategies and not in themself toxic behaviour. But since a lot of survivors dont like it, they claim it to be.
The nodding, i dont know, if might be a toxic intend, as well as hitting a hooked person.
The same persons also consider flashlight saves and head on toxic.
To be fair i meet way more toxic survivors than toxic killers.
-
I recommend otzdarva's clown tips.
For plague i would try a build that punishes cleansing. Addons that make your corrupted vomit stronger and perks that let you snowball. That's it.
For Freddy just use three info perks and pop.

Billy isnt op, hes good but not op.
Nurse for example its op because a good nurse doesnt have any counters.
If the billy wants to go only for chainsaws you can punish him in loops, a good survivor will just take m1's from billy; as you can see, at least he has a counter. See?
At the end playing nurse is a guessing game combined with conditioning. She's by no means op, especially not with the crapload of bugs she got atm.
On topic: Billy without addons is balanced imo.
-
I play fair mostly. I aim for good plays, not BP, rank or kills.
-
Corrupt Intervention. It's not that ultimately useable as many people maybe think.
-
Imagine people deadharding and then instantly stumbling over their feet to fall down. xD
-
Perk: Exhausted
After 30 minutes in the trial the killer looses 5% movement speed.
-
I'm a trash survivor and a trash killer.
-
No. Blindness is the only counter to OoO and third seal is the only reason i play hag and trapper at all.
-
Base billy is fine.
-
Not as common. It's not a reliable peek, but dark devotion got insane value if it works.

Yeah why would dark devotion be very good on him im curious.
Imagine you combine it with Nemesis and you down a tormented survivor with a basic attack. You can send them to the cage and cause insane chaos.
-
Spirit can also phase to get the first hit in. Frenzy doesn't help you nearly as much in downing a survivor, only for blocking certain spots and distance.

Yes

The recharge mechanic was a bad and clunky way of nerfing her. And it introduced many bugs the devs not even acknowledge till today.
-
Yes.
-
Players that only play for fun together are very cool. I met an SWF consisting of the players "Apfelsaftglas" and "Ravioliohren" and they were some of the most fun people to play with i ever met in dbd.
-
Yes, because only in very few cases you got an actual reason to DC.
-
Bond versus Brutal maybe?
-
I only care about blendette. She should only be allowed to wear neon clothes.
-
Spirit with MDR and YA. Detection and genslow perks.
Nurse with both CD addons. Detection and utility perks.
That's about it. Iri huntress is annoying, but not as strong as those two builds.

That was changed back, with no mention a while ago. Queue up with a rank 20 friend and watch your games you’re gonna ends up against rank 15-20 killers.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1348095#Comment_1348095
If there’s no weak link you’re screwed, I would say I run into that like 1/20 games or even less than that though.
I don't really care how often people run into actually good 4man swfs. It's the same problem as old nurse: Xou always got the possibility to go against it and if you do you automatically loose. Bad game design. Except nurse got nerfed hard.
-
Yeah SWF players could be bad survivors. If they're good they're unbeatable, so your "counter" is just a way to beat bad survivors.

Nobody said it was balanced (the scenario I gave we were only a two man with two randoms anyways), but it's not impossible. 4 man's tend to be super altruistic and that will be their downfall 9 times out of 10. You just have to know when to concede in a chase and go for the weak link when you spot it and it'll snowball from there typically.
And what if there's no weak link? What if they're actually good, understand and use theiü huge advantage called voice communication, maybe even with OoO?
It is not balanced and the argument that they tend to be this and that or could be bad survivors doesn't negate the fact at all m8.
-
Keys, DS and OoO are op. All the other things mentioned are clearly not.

Basically: Salty Killer main gets outplayed by a 4 man SWF with communication (Which by the way isn’t against the rules) so he uses an Ebony Mori, which is notoriously unbalanced.
People like you just make the game unpleasant for those who want to enjoy the game. I suppose you got so used to dealing with brain dead solo survivors that you don’t even have the skill to deal with SWF.
@Letche said:
It's sad that the only reason people fear mori's, at least for me, is because about 8/10 times it's only in play by a person who is legitimately bad at killer and intends to tunnel/face camp and mori people off first hook for a shortcut to gain leverage they acknowledge they wouldn't get through sheer skill.
When I see a mori I don't think 'dang this is gonna be a fun game against a killer I'm well matched against'. I think 'oh here we go, we about to get face camped/tunneled and mori'd off first hook by probably a green rank killer' and that's exactly what happens. Happened last night.
Green rank Ghost face (11 or 12) with noed, drivers license, that ultra rare camera add on (don't remember what it's called) where you stalk people faster while leaning and an ebony mori.
He only mori'd one person because they were a R17 dicking around when they could have just ran out the gate. Yet somehow this R17 was doing 360s left and right on this green rank killer too. He still ended up with two kills because my baby teammates wouldn't save me on my first hook while my buddy (the other R1) was getting chased. They were afraid he was down in the basement with me because he had been doing that all game to try and tunnel and get the mori, but when he realized we were just going to do gens he decided that wasn't going to work anymore. The last time he tried that I was able to get the save and blind him to prevent him from tunneling the poor baby.
The other two were 15 and 1 and he wanted to message us like it was our fault he got matched against us? Like buddy I'm just as dissapointed in the match making system as you are for putting us up against you after queuing for half an hour. It's not like we bullied him or anything, he was just upset he got out played by at least two people and I mean hell, I died in the process trying to compensate for the baby teammates.
I'm a consistent R1 survivor for context and I'd say about half my killers end up being green. Other half are where they should be (between 1-4 typically).
So a 4man SWF with communication is balanced?

@Aven_Fallen said:
Why do you use "toxic" and "red rank swf" together? You assume, just because someone is playing in a SWF that they are toxic?
To be fair, most swfs i encounter are toxic. They also let me just die on the hook as solo most times.

It's really getting old. I try to be patient, but she was reworked something like 9 months ago? Last night was brutal. First time in a few months that I straight up rage quit the game. Survivors played a Badham offering. Gen was downstairs in the school. I was either blinking into the basement or dead blinking. I couldn't get it to put me in the boiler room next to the gen. I have 10k lifetime blink attacks. I feel like I probably know the timing on that blink
Same. I know exactly how to blink to certain spots on hawkins, but sometimes i just, well, don't move a single bit.

It happens a lot against bad survivors. I don't balance perks around assuming the players will play poorly. That philosophy is how we ended up with all the second chance meta perks that are currently being abused. They were tuned for bad players, so now the good players make them way stronger than they were supposed to be.
So people don't use BT? It happens against all kinds of survivors, with some killers you can even decide to patrol a hook or setup around it.

@Blueberry said:

Why even add a cooldown? It's quite situational and the situation isn't even in your control, it's completely up to the survivors if your perk activates.
It happens quite often in unhook/hook trade cenarios, so 40 seconds oblivious without a CD is not to underestimate.
-
YES
-
Autodidact and Dark Devotion (too).

@Blueberry said:
If it's 60 seconds of Oblivious that might be okayish. If it's 30 seconds that's terrible. We'll have to see I suppose.
40 seconds or 60 seconds with a 20 seconds CD would be nice.

I literally have never played with it I don’t even think I understand it
With 5 stacks you can basicaly instaheal a survivor with a skillcheck. Feelsgoodman.
Healing skillchecks build the stacks btw.
