Well if you're a nurse main then deadhard shouldn't be an issue and nurse has a short and long post blink lunge that seems really buggy and these counters can still be used with timing and maybe an add on but if dead hard is an issue you should focus on zoning to avoid the very useful distance plays
Why should DH not be an issue?

See and that's what it shouldn't do but even then if you play your cards right you can add pressure later. Plus if you eat ds in the beginning it saves you trouble later so time management is a big factor in how the game will end if you decide to play around these perks
Against a coordinated SWF it doesn't matter, but you can partially play around it.

Rexactly and there is counterplay now its just that killers are too scared to eat a ds or slug because no matter what the survivor gets up. But think like this eat that ds and they can be tunneled when needed or slug and they waste unbreakable so you can slug later or they save it and 1 person goes to save them and you intercept then another had to go just because they don't want to waste it and if you leave them alone they will heal which adds lots of pressure and if you choose your chases wisely and can act fast enough that pressure will build and that's why gen rushing is possible because the killers take too long for that pressure or don't build it right. If I see an unhook ill slug the unhook and if they have bt he has to mend and then heal which adds pressure
I doesn't matter how nice people turn it, it's still a bunch of second chances that are able to destroy the killers pressure.
-
I got around 1.5k hours in nurse, but on PC. It's very important to get a perfect muscle memory before going into conditioning and deep layer mindgames.

Ok but that is different dead hard has counters, first don't hit and bait it out and if your on their butt and they still look back they probably have dead hard. Lunge at the end of their dead hard you get the hit. If they run into you they obviously have dead hard and if they use it lunge with a 360 and you'll always hit them if you aim it right. Also deadhard doesnt work properly so it leaves people exhausted on the ground. Its not too strong. Its pretty strong and can cause losses for both sides, so if you can't take the knowledge and adapt you are most likely bad or a slow learner. But dont worry even I forget about deadhard or fall for it.
I'm a nurse main that's why. DH is just a free second chance against nurse.
There are also situations where it's used for distance without a counter against any killer.
-
Yeah i got that idea too some time ago. What bothers me the most about second chance perks is, that you can just stack them AS much as you want.
But that DS change would allow counterplay without borderline situations where you just get bad worded.
-
I made a post about dead hard beeing too strong. Literally everyone told me i'm a bad killer. It also goes the other way round in this forums.
-
You do realise that the game is even more survivor sided without perks and addons?
-
@Tru3Lemon said:
she dosent need any rework shes fine she suppose to be a difficult killer to control and im not a typical guy that want to be rude or something but ppl just want her to be easy to control
What about her countless bugs that get ignored for months?

Wasent egc created to prevent survivors from holding the game hostage? So why does it matter that survivors can 99 the gate?
Exactly.
-
There are perks that need that requirement like for example "Dark Devotion". On the other hand there are also perks like " Surge" that definitly don't need it.
-
That's just another pig Problem.

It's obvious. Do you see any killer nerfs that stick lately? No (Billy). Do you see killer buffs that do? Yes (Bubba).
Have you seen any survivor buffs recently? No. It's map nerfs. It's item nerfs. Etc.
There are more killer buffs coming with perk changes like Franklin's.
I don't need data. Look at all of the recent changes. It's buff killers, nerf survivors, day in and day out. When that reverses course, I'll change my mind. Until then, BHVR is clearly favoring killers due to the constant whining.
Remember the vaulting buff two updates ago that made the vault speed build insane?

But they are essentially the same thing. I mean think of it this way, I get a meat hook in the back and I do not scream and instead look you in the face and laugh because I do not feel pain. I however get off the hook and now with no hook in my back make noise? Just being silly but it does make sense.
Also I do not feel Iron Will Is OP and is so easily countered. Whispers comes to mind and Stridor also comes to mind. I mean there is many perks to counter that and also be good even when a survivor does not use Iron Will. I sadly do not see either get used much in any of the matches I am in but I think they are both good as well.
Thanks for giving some feedback and really hope you have a great weekend as well as everyone here! <(^.^)>
Live long and prosper NANO NANO! lol
Didn't thought about it that way lol. Now i'm aggreeing because it's just logical. xD
-
Calm Spirit and Iron Will in one perk would be op. Iron Will itself is borderline strong.
-
They counterplay against all those killers is based on guessing. But chases from the killer side are solely based in guessing. A mindgame is a guess after all. A blink from nurse is a guess. A long range hatchet from huntress is a guess. A chainsaw sprint of Billy is a guess.
So why shouldn't survivors guess a bit too?
-
I just accepted that it's impossible to win some matches.
-
I don't really know what you want to achieve with that. People will always use the optimal build. If it's not pop Freddy it's forever Freddy. If it's not SF+Enduring Billy it's bamboozle Billy.
Unfun is subjektive btw. I think infectious is unfun in nurse, so i don't use it.
-
Nurse is A-tier.

A Laurie got off the ground with adrenaline today, so ofc I snatched her mid-sprint-burst and downed her once again. *laughs in deathslinger*
I like chase potential so i played a lot of slinger in the last few weeks. Denying exhaustion perks is one of the most satisfying things you can do with him.

Playmaking perks are better due to bad balance. I prefer consistency though.

There's still 2 more killers at S tier. Freddy who feels like they threw several ideas at the wall, and Spirit who people are hotly debating right now.
Freddy is A-tier. Spirit is the only one left.

You can thank me in the near future when 3 gens don't go off at the beginning of a match.
You're welcome.
I don't think that will happen. People said the same after the nurse nerf.
-
In my opinion it's a crutch perks for bad killers to get to purple.
-
@Splinterverse said:
No. It's not that. In fact, the game is killer focused and becoming more so as the days go on. Play at all ranks for hours on end in various teams (SWF and solo) and you'll see. They've made Bubba OP now and reversed much of the Billy changes. They've yet to reverse any of the endless survivor nerfs. BHVR is killer focused as it is. Leave it.
What survivor nerf would you like to get reversed if i may ask?
-
Evers sane person that is not biased towards seither side or has literally no idea how nurse works (looking at you otz and tofu) knows, that the base nerf was completely unneccessary.
BHVR did it to make nurse borderline unplayable. That they fixed ONE deadzone till today shows this pretty clear. She has countless bugs, some of them for years and many since her rework.
-
Every perk that let survivors do something they normally can't do without teammates should have a huge downside and/or a requirement. Just like self care doubles the healing time or deliverance needs an unhook and gives the broken status effect.
Unbreakable and DS are exceptions for no reason, that's why both perks are obviously overpowered, especially combined with each other.
Perks like BT and DH are problematic too, but for other reasons.
-
Bodyblocking with BT...uncool.

You have obviously been hanging around that whole Mick Jagger on the Lightning Unicorn thingy (see above post). I've been here for years and there is anything but common sense and fair analysis here. There is whining, crying, name calling, pessimism, complaining, finger pointing, condescension, etc, etc, but very little fairness. I do appreciate your upbeat tone though and hope it rubs off on others. Just don't read too much on these forums or you'll become a grumpy old Pig like me. lol
@GrootDude stayed positive too!!!
-
A few people here are biased to either side, but i think most people here are pretty fair regarding balance.
-
Someone watching Ayrun i see.
On topic, i really like alert and usw it actually quite often.
-
She's insane, but map dependant, just like nurse.

@Todgeweiht said:
I think that people are refusing to use many of the new perks because they are not that game changing, but they are good regardless, they just require you to mix your playstyle
Demo perks:
- Surge is far from bad, but it has a cooldown on top of too many conditions. From my experience, in some scenarios it can come even more clutch than pop.
- Mindbreaker is bad, agreed.
- Cruel limits is bad on everyone except bubba (on some cases). Agreed.
Oni perks
- Zanshin tactics should be a free perk. It's not bad but not what you would be running in red ranks.
- Blood echo is underrated, the only thing that stops it from becoming meta its the cooldown, pair it with sloppy butcher and survivor can say bye to their exhaustion perks
- Nemesis is pretty good, agreed.
Deathslinger perks:
- Gearhead is kinda underrated, sure, it got nerfed and it relies on RNG, but it can give you some really nice info.
- Dead man's switch is also pretty underrated. I have been running it on my Oni and sometimes Demo. 30-45 seconds of survivors doing nothing can be really good. It needs to be paired with nemesis or furtive chase to be used at its full potential tho.
- Retribution is the worst hex? When third seal exists? Definitely not. In one shot killers it can be deadly if it activates at the right moment.
Pyramid Head perks:
- Forced penance is only really good on legion, but pretty underwhelming on the rest of killers. It could be fun for basement builds tho.
- Trail of torment is actually pretty decent from my experience with it. Especially good on Billy and Oni.
- Deathbound is GODLY. It's like the holy son of nurses calling and infectious. It has become an staple perk on many of my killers.
I got only bad experiences with Surge, but i agree with the other perks.
Blood Echo is bad, really bad and by no means underrated. I tried to utilise it many times and it never gave me much value.
My main problem with dead man's is that gens don't regress while being blocked.
But deathbound is decent. :D

Yep removing infinites, adding egc, adding bloodlust, nerfing pallet spawns, removing vaccume pallets, nerfing toolboxes snd flashlights, and making maps smaller is the "bare minimum" /s
Stop being ungrateful. The devs are clearly trying to balance the game for both sides
That's it. They're doing good work so be respectful like this nancy main right here.

What if you're going up against a flashlight squad and the killer you picked doesn't have Lightborn or Franklin's?
Sike i got all perks on all killers!

Spirit and Freddy.

That post right here is just AS immature.

You could've just said two buffs honestly. xD
Good ideas mostly!

They do. Just like the spoon and stridor stack in nurse.

You do realise that killers are different with different abilities and survivors are just skins?
About the items you can always change your build if you want to use franklins for example.
You guys need to stop with this whining thing im getting sick of it honestly.
There's a difference between a blendette and just dwight.
If people quickswitch six seconds before the match starts you can't react as killer.
-
Three gens are mostly the survivors fault.
-
@DaKnight said:
He's 115. He can't be countered by flashlights. He can equip blindness blocks in case of object, which is a huge bane to hag. He teleports across the map to pop gens. You can't crouch over his snares. Snares can be placed mid-chase with no penalty.
This. She just has more counterplay.

who would ever run anything interesting as survivor when 4 second chance perk go brrr
I actually only use one second chance as survivor and that's DH, because i'm trash at loops sometimes. My other perks are: "Autodidact", " Bond" and "Inner Strength". :D
-
Survivors should be locked at ~20 seconds so the killer got time to adjust his build if there are four flashlights out oft nowwhere. But the killer lock at matchmaking is fine.
-
She has a low pickrate for a reason. To play her correctly you need a lot of strategical knowledge and skill. So yeah let's nurse her like Billy.

I definitly agree, it's a good perk, but there are definitly better perks in DBD.

Iron Will/Off The Record do absolutely nothing to counter Stridor, she can still hear you fine
No Mither is a death sentence, so don't even try to pretend like that's a legit strategy.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1449600#Comment_1449600
Nice whataboutism. Just because one thing is OP doesn't mean the answer is more OP mechanics.
No she can't hear you with "Off the Record" and "Iron Will". In the first chase, sure, but after that you're invincible.
