I agree. Is there a way to stop this from happening? Can I vote for another game to not get it?

you have to have evidence to back up some accusations, and that is video of the match in some way. you must also do the report in the final scoreboard AS WELL as a support ticket to give the additional information of the video to the devs. (or the site/email that was linked earlier) if you do NOT do this then you are the one causing your reports to be disregarded. I've submitted reports and I know for a fact some have been acted on. Stop blaming the dev's inability to make a call when you can't even make the effort to give them the information! that'd be like telling the cops you just got robbed and can't prove that your wallet is gone!
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1780781#Comment_1780781
honestly the fact you don't understand when EGC starts or could be started totally destroys all the information you tried to put out there and shows you're just a small time adult kid that loves to call people names and tell them they suck when you don't know what you're talking about. Please learn before you speak.
How do you know for a fact? I'm going to be up BHVR's ass with this game until I get some proof action is taken on these people.

Your post was answered promptly by a community member and a MOD. If someone is doing something ban-able start recording. Who counts on a game to store what would be thousands of terabytes per hour jic you need to report something? Evidence is ALWAYS on the accuser to have. How hard is it to record 10 mins of gameplay?
You failed. Not the game.
Then disrespected the people who tried nicely to help.
Find another game. Good riddance 👏👏
How was I supposed to know the game would turn out like that. And this game is a mess. Not having a system to reference game VODs is just another example.

Actually Im going to play the most destructive behavIor possible and piss off as many people as possible to add to the toxicity in this community ######### it lol.

2 survivors dead, 1 gennie done.
They're probably waiting for hatch. Maybe you should have managed your aggro better?
I reckon the killer come into the game looking for a super fast 4k that they can screen shot and the response from the 2 remaining survivors was to go super stealth.
I've seen games like this, there's no point working on a gennie at that point, your better off farming totems and hooks (toolbox) and hope the other guy gets found first.
This conversation 'holding the game hostage' is amusing, please link this video evidence.
You already have EGC, what more do you entitled killers want?
I was playing Nurse. I hooked the two of them both 2 times. They were on death hook. I can't help it if I just went in the game and destroyed it. But I just wanna move to the next when when thats the case. It's no fun for anyone. I play to practice Nurse. Instead, I got this hostage #########. Anyways, I won't be touching this game for awhile. This left such a bad taste in my mouth that won't go away because BHVR won't do anything with the report. So, I'll just squash the convo here.
I didn't take a video. If I could get the VOD somewhere, that would be nice. I linked a convo of me asking them to do gens and they said no, I had to find them (which I looked for 20 mins but THATS BORING).
-
This game is so ######### useless. You can't even download a VOD.I had My ENTIRE FREE TIEM FOR THE DAY destroyed BECAUSE OF THIS GAME. and Those 2 arent going to get nay punishment? ######### this game. I'm officially done with it
I don't want to spend the free 1-2 hours I got a day being frustrated and not having the Devs do anything about this clear form of abuse. ######### this. I'll just play another game.
-
Video evidence? Do they have the game on a server that they could DL? OR that I could DL?

on one hand, yeah the grind can be quite massive.
though on the other side, the Devs added a lot of ways to earn additional BPs with Daily Challenges, tome Challenges, 2x BP Events and a multitude of bonus BP Offerings.
its really not THAT bad, considering all of that.
like, before i started doing the page two challenges of this tome my Executioner was barely P3 lvl 50 - now, after completing them, im only 30 perk levels away from having him maxed out.
The grind is still bad enough that it's discouraging to even play the game. Even if they made it better, the current system acts like you are some high school with loads of free time on their hands. It would take normal people over a year to ungimp themselves.
-
The funny part is console players cant even tell other console players from PC so whenever they make posts like this, I just find it totally invalid.
That said, I think that PC survivors are about the same as console, maybe even worst because console players tend to be more altruistic. But console killers are SIGNIFICANTLY worse.
-
Console killers have been noticeably worse than PC killers. But console survivors have been much more team-centered than Pc players by going for hook saves or always seeing one person sitting on a gen when I get hooked. Not too sure how good they are at looping yet though, but I suspect not the best, which counters the major improvement they've been bringing to the team aspect of the match. It sometimes makes for boring games (because easier) , but overall the games have been much more chill and enjoyable.
-
I play on PC and my experience with megs is that they are either very good at the game or very mediocre (or new players, but I don't count them because new players deserve their own category before they pick a main ). But they are never the worst on the team except in terms of hiding. Megs are rarely stealthy and I always seem to find them the easiest/most throughout the match. Although this probably hurts them a lot at first, eventually they become good loopers because of it and that's when they start to fall into the "very good" category.
Megs tend to not be as toxic as people say in my games either. I think the biggest offenders of being toxic dickbags are Dwights and Neas. ######### those people who man them.
-
I've played DBD for 350 hours now (and I don't leave my game logged in to rack up in-game hours like some people) and only come across a hacker ONCE.
-
Nurses are not that common. And when you do see them, they generally suck. The good ones that smash are rare and smashing can happen on any killer.
Spirit sucks, but likely she isn't as common as some of the other killers (probably because the community knows that playing her is uncool and will probably bring about loads of d/c's).
Huntress isn't bad. You just need to get used to her. You probably don't have enough experience yet because you only played on console. I think she's one of the more fun killer to play against because she's easy to loop and dodging her hatchets is kind of a fun game (until you have to do an action that animation locks you).
I think the bigger problems are Freddy and PH. Freddy just drags games out and it never feels fun. PH is just overall the epitome of bad design and probably the least fun killer to go against if we do not count Spirit.
-
I think getting chased is a lot more fun than doing the chasing. But killer has more action overall, which can be more appealing/more fun. But survivor queues are shorter and you can play with other people, so I see more value in just playing survivor. Plus, it's a little bit more chill when I'm having an off day and just want to mindlessly press M1.
-
@FogNoob said:
That should NEVER happen.
This is the easiest way to make people quit the game before even getting familiar with it. I was watching a streamer the other day trying the game for the first time and something similar happened. He didn't understand how the perks worked, he was shocked when he was hit by decisive strike and was furious when BT activated when he hit another survivor. It was pretty entertaining, to be honest but I can see how it could put off a new player from ever learning how to play the game.
Just to be clear, I don't think it's on the devs to teach new players every single mechanic on the game, perks and all, this comes with time and experience. But I do think new players should ONLY go against other new players, or players with lower skills, just so people have a chance to actually learn how to play. Maybe it's not possible to do it.. but matches like the one OP mentioned should not happen imo.
Not for nothing, but streamers' reactions aren't something to really talk about. 99% of the time it is acting in an effort to be entertaining.
I'm sure it's frustrating, but I just don't think streamers are a good benchmark for ...anything.

Holy crap dude. If you are downed and waiting to be healed up while others chase the killer around don't crawl UNDER pallets. Be on one side or the other. If someone needs to use the pallet they go to heal you instead OR the pallet gets dropped while they are trying to heal you and brings the killer back. For the love of my sanity guys please 😂
Lmao play the game more and learn how to play and then complain please.
Crawling under a pallet is a smart thing. Looping a killer near a slugged individual is a dumb thing.

Very few are asking for a full rework, most of the people who think it's broken think it's overtuned, so the timer is too long and it shouldn't work from lockers. It's too powerful with unbreakable as well.
If it didn't work with lockers...then killer can just leave you slugged, which does not prevent tunneling.
It is a "small pp build" tho when people combine it with unbreakable.

And all a survivor main sees when ds is mentioned is REMOVE DS! and they never actually read or take in what is being said.
I read what is said and listen to people complain. But honestly, 1/2 the time it's just the killer saying in a very persuasive manner that they want to tunnel people and not be punished.
-
@bingbongboi90 said:
DS isnt designed as An anti tunnel perk according to the devs. And even if you look at all the numbers and how ds works it is clear it isnt.
Yes it might function as An anti tunneling perk for you but there are so many things abusable with the perk.
First of all if you have all the time to do a gen then you cant be tunneled. So ds should be deactivated when touching a gen and make the timer stop when Being slugged. This is how you make DS a true anti tunneling perk
This would be a nice change. But then every killer main could cry to high heaven if you were forced to always eat a DS.Because, let's be real, at least 75% of killers want to tunnel slug the injured survivor.

this and when they heal under the hook body block for the healthy survivor that healed them so you have to chase them and when their injured and your about to get a hit they jump into a locker mid chase to force you to pick them up so they can stun you. they at least try to do this every other game
You're literally arguing that them jumping into a lot for you to get DS'ed is unhealthy, when the bigger problem is you WANT TO TUNNEL THEM. Just stop tunneling. Plain and simple. It's a mechanic that works, but it is not fun to play against and DS discourages it (which is extremely healthy for this game). Chances are, if they didn't jump into a locker, you'd just leave them slugged. But that's still tunneling....
-
@SavouryRain said:
Any Killer main with a couple braincells knows how necessary DS is.
What a lot won't say is that they don't want to admit that they just want to tunnel survivors down. I know this is objectively a fact, because 99% of the time the killer brings a green/ebony mori, they eschew whatever chase they were in to immediately pivot to the recently unhooked survivor to tunnel them and mori them. I'd wager that in games without the threat of DS (no obsession), those same players would dp similar things even without a mori.
Exactly. And this type of gameplay is far more common than the "fair", not douchey kind. At least 1 out of every 4 games will have someone who actively tunnels someone out of the game, so that they can out them by 3 gens and win the game. But it would not be uncommon to have 3 of those 4 games with tunnel killers on a ######### day of the week (eg. friday nights), where all the dbags come out to play.
-
PH is a bit OP right now. right up there with Spirit and Freddy. People just don't want to admit it.
-
@Warcrafter4 said:

Not really it just makes you the Dbag in that situation as there is no counterplay to what your doing a survivors do it as a get out of jail free card more often then not whether or not they are being tunneled/camped.
I have A LOT of personal experience with the locker abuse with DS watching teammates do it and being effected by it as killer.
The only time this is frustrating is when you see only them and it's been 30-45 seconds from unhook. But otherwise...you're being cucked by not being allowed to tunnel. Killer is still the dbag in this situation.
-
The pros outweigh the cons. It may suck to get into a lobby of 4-flashlights as hag/wraith. But this is far less common than unfair matchmaking.
-
@Sadsnacks said:
The problem with DS is that it makes EGC pointless. Once the exit gates are open you might as well just go walk to a corner of the map and stare at a wall, regardless if you have any survivors hooked.
Not really. It makes it pointless for the killers who want to hook camp/tunnel for the 1k.
-
@Warcrafter4 said:
People don't say its unneeded its just FAR too easily abused outside of its intended purpose.
Infact most people flat out say in their DS nerfs that they DON'T want to remove its anti tunnel/anti camp function as they agree its necessary.
But then you look at all the QQ'ing and they want it to be. And you can still get tunnelled by getting slugged, so sometimes jumping in a locker is really the best thing you can do when a killer is just a dbag.
-
@BigTimeGamer said:
That kind of talk isn’t popular around here with the vocal crowd
I know. Because the vast majority here are killers, never played survivor mains. DS doesn't feel anywhere near as bad to play against as does a tunneling killer. And a tunneling killer is more common than DS actually cucking you as a killer.

Then don't DC then! You can't even get devour hope stacks since the husk would auto-sacrifice when hooked, and a Bot would still do gens, unhook, loop, etc. You're basically saying survivors should be the ones that get to decide if a killer deserves his perk stacks or not.
EDIT: I see this argument alot and it pisses me off to no end. "The killer shouldn't be able to benefit from the body when a survivor DC's" and I ask "Well why not?" and the reply is ALMOST ALWAYS "Because the killer doesn't deserve it." who's to make that judgement?
Why not? Because it hurts survivors even more than being down 1 man. 3v1 pretty much seals your fate unless you are at 2 gens or less. A bot would make it so much less fun because of how easy it would be. I'd MUCH rather have no one than a feeder bot.

the number of time i black pip because the last survivor escape with the hatch is stupid. if i had that single hook i would have pip but because the survivor camp the hatch i lost i know im not the only one those thing happen so when you say theres no harm with the last survivor finding the hatch i cant agree with you
Honestly, if you depip that frequently because of hatch...view it as a good thing. It gives you an opportunity to drop a bit in MMR so that you can learn to have greater map presence so that this doesn't happen. Lower MMR players will get gens done in a much more delayed fashion, so you'll have more time to think and react.

I like people that argue eachother and make an interesting discussion but I feel like you guys are going slightly off-topic. I'm just saying that because the OP might feel bad because he asked for chase additions and you guys are arguing whether PH power has counterplays or not. Just saying...
True lmao. My point is, I don't think there needs to be anything added. At most, I think it would be fun to have different renditions of jungle gyms in newer maps. But if anything was to be added, it would be a structure that completely blocks PH's ranged attack. That way a survivor can safely loop and pull down the structure without getting killed during the animation lock-up.
-
The Meg and Hag skins are fantastic. I love playing both of them, so I will definitely be investing in a rift pass if I can get it done.
Wraith's skin is also top notch.
I'll probably also buy Jane and Feng's skins coming out because Jane is my main and I'm working on P3'ing Feng right now (to add her to my pool of survivors I can play to mix it up cosmetically).
-
@Zeus said:
Pyramid head has a lot of counters. It all depends on how far he is from you. You don't loop him normally like other killers. Double back and drop pallet, see what his range is and see if you can make the vault. Even if his PoTD has sufficient range to hit you, it takes time because it's not hitscan. You can dodge even after vaulting. Holding W is a strong counter. He has a lot of counterplay, its just difficult to pull off but it definitely doesn't rely on PH missing because he has to predict his shots a lot of the time. Definitely not strong in any way
Maybe you feel this way. But I feel like PH is a very anti-fun, non-interactive killer when it comes to chases. The biggest counterplay he has is gen-rushing because of his chase power. It's the same with Spirit or Freddy. If they see you/find you, you will be dead quickly. The only time you won't is when the killer sucks and messes up. Otherwise, there is not much you can do. But yes, there is still things you CAN do...but it just always feels like a gamble that is heavily favored towards the killer.
-
@Xbob42 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1481740#Comment_1481740
Well, not quite. Pyramid Head runs slower (5%, not much but it still buys you time) while holding his power, and absolutely cannot hold it indefinitely if he's moving. If he's not moving, he's not chasing.
Not saying he's perfectly balanced or anything like that, just that this is not an accurate representation of his power.
I know he has drawbacks. But i feel like his chase is just so oppressive that it is anti-fun and uninteractive. It's kind of like Spirit or Freddy. When you get into a chase with them, YOU KNOW you will die in a couple seconds and not have much say in that unless the killer massively ######### up. It's just really unfun to play against. Whereas other killers give you a lot more to work with and there is a give-and-take with the mistakes made on both sides.
-
I think Zubatlel is probably the most entertaining from a gameplay standpoint. He's just a fantastic player and has a great personality (I really enjoy the way he talks and interacts with chat, I feel like he'd be someone I'd chill with).
From a pure entertainment standpoint, Angrypug. I know people hate him because he's toxic. And yeah, his d/c'ing and responses to chat can get cringe. And his hatred for the game sometimes ruins the stream. But goddamn is he extremely interactive with chat and funny as hell to watch.
-
Nah. I feel like great survivors can draw out chases and the game already goes by quickly. There's no need to give survivors a chance to extend chases even longer.
But if anything were to be added, I wish there was a way to cuck PH. He has 0 interacction with survivors, as he can just hold his power until the survivor is caught in animation or can be m1'ed.
-

every time there are 2 survivors to kill as soon as i am about to take down the last one, the friend makes DC and gives him the chance to win in a dirty way
this technique has come back stronger than ever and therefore the devs should put back the penalty
Honestly though. slugging for the 4k when you don't know where the other survivor is/they aren't directly around is such a lame thing to do. Having one person sit around while you hunt the map for the last person just to get the 4k is soooo stupid that if getting cucked by d/c's fixes you of that habit, I support it lol

Toxic: Nea, Claudette,
Generally Skilled: Feng Min, Kate, David, Zarina, Adam, Cheryl, Quentin, Bill
Average Skill Level: Laurie, Yui, Jake, Jane, Steve, Nancy, Ace, Jeff, Tapp, Dwight
Braindead: Ash, Meg,

I think ebony moris should probably be removed. It makes a game not worth playing and unfun for the survivors. There's not much point to it. I don't blame people who d/c when they suspect moris.
Ivory mori's make it so the killer will win 80% of the time and encourage tunneling 1 person out of the game if you want to make it 100%. It can be problematic, but at least the game is still kind of playable.

People always want to say that it is the survivor who did nothign who gets hatch, but that's not always the case.
And trust me, it's even more annoying when you get a sweaty killer who slugs because they want the 4k. Like...it's a game. Just hook. Who cares about a 4k? it's not that serious and to make someone sit and wait on the ground for 2minutes because you are a sweat bag is silly.

It would have to be a prolonged facecamp for this to trigger. Like maybe you only have 1 struggle left and they sat on top of the hook the entire time.
-
@snozer said:
it is really hard to find motivation to stay on the hook after running a killer for 2 minutes and no gens get done. Only to see that your team consists of rank 20s doing nothing useful and hiding in a bush or locker.
Most people sit right on the generator they spawn on. So chances are, you aren't doing that great of a job at running the killer if you die without one being done at the start of the game. The only time the first gen doesn't pop quickly is when a killer is running corrupted intervention.
This is not a valid excuse to just give up on a game.
