It could reproduce asexually, or pull a Stephen King's IT and do stuff I refuse to mention
IT is exactly what I thought of, though I don't remember the specifics and your comment suggests it's more gruesome than I remember

Same thing happened with the Blight hatch bug: the patch notes said it was fixed but it wasn't. Then all of a sudden it was fixed in a later patch with no mention. Hopefully the same thing will happen soon with this.
-
Maps are considered to be survivor-sided (or bad for killers) because it's hard for killers to catch up with survivors that are running away.
Example: Lampkin Lane has lots of houses where the survivor can run upstairs, jump out a window, run back into the house and keep repeating. Every killer will struggle to catch up in these spots.
Maps are killer-sided if there are large areas with no windows or pallets, or if several generators are bunched together (so the killer can watch all of them at the same time).
Example: Dead Dawg Saloon has a huge part of the map that is just open desert. There are no windows, not many pallets, and no obstacles to break the killer's line of sight.
-
I thought it was to do with consistency rather than confusion. Seems a bit arbitrary that BT triggering depends on whether Freddy's put you to sleep or if the Pig is crouching down.
-
New mechanic: Hag's traps evaporate after a few seconds on the ground of new Coldwind.
-
As a killer main, I wouldn't be against this. It feels like a very cheap, undeserved victory when a survivor misses a save by a matter of milliseconds.
But maybe it really was that bad when it was implemented; I wasn't here to see it.

It is but not a baseline one which are the ones we need.
Ah right, I get you now

With the change to small game, it seems like devs don't want to give any help to solos at least for now.
I doubt we'll see any good baseline changes for solo que for a long time.
Is it not an bit of an improvement to solo queue because you can see how many totems your teammates have cleansed?

Happened now on Lery's. Playing on Steam.

what bug? I don't play Blight very often
When the Blight is rushing, he collides with the hatch as if it's a wall, even if's still invisible. This lets him know exactly where it's going to spawn.

How about we just make the rescued survivor lose collision for the duration of BT then?
Then we can actually go after the unhooker like you say instead of abusing the BT to block for the rescuer.
I don't think abusing is the right word here.
Trolling by running 4 bugged Breakdowns: abusing.
Using a perk that does what it says in the description: not abusing.
-
Happened to me as well recently. Can't remember the map or killer but it was after the most recent update.
-
Survivor: "You're a hacker, you knew I was in the locker"
Me: "I had Rancor"
"BS, I wasn't the obsession"
"Read the perk description"
...
"#### you, you still suck"
-
Whoever you play as, you won't see or hear the glyph until you're about 5 metres away from it. When you're close, it'll appear and make a crackling sound.
-
Yeah, this is one of the most complained about things from the latest update. It seems to happen if the pallet is dropped while the killer is swinging their weapon.
-
My personal favourite is Yun-Jin Lee.
You know, the character they released for sale the same day the filter was introduced.
-
What's the benefit though? If you're the only one left and the killer hooks you, they can just facecamp until you unhook yourself/go to second stage. And if you do unhook yourself, everyone involved then has to wait 60 seconds while the killer waits out the possible DS. To me it seems like it would just waste everybody's time.
-
Yeah, I actually never noticed it before the patch, but it happened to me yesterday on Groaning Storehouse.
-
I'm not sure, but I did it in one try as Wraith on Midwich Elementary. The amount of pallets and breakable walls (not just next to you but above and below you) means almost every hit should count.
-
What I look for in a new chapter is fun perks and gameplay; I wouldn't necessarily say making the new killer strong is required to make a chapter good.
-
Did you know that you can still strafe left and right while charging?
Other than that, running around a corner is one of the best ways to dodge him (just like a rushing Blight), so you're best to go for survivors in the open.
-
Archives guy - I really enjoy the way he narrates the stories, he seems to really put passion into it, but nobody really acknowledges him.
-
My first thought was she's just carrying too much to be able to run... I've been playing too much Skyrim recently

Sneaky Stab happens when you hit somebody while crouched as Ghostface... I think. You have to be crouched for a decent time before the score event is given so you can't just teabag then stab for more points. Also, you don't need to be in night shroud.
I've tried this so many times that I thought they must have taken it out of the game... this makes more sense
-
Not for every chapter, but say a one-off where the survivors are politicians we vote to elect, and the killers are on trial where we're the jury voting on who to execute.
I think that'd make an exciting chapter, yeah!
-
The Nurse prompt flashing on and off and not letting you use your power has happened to me too, I don;t know what causes it.
If the area you're trying to blink to has an obstacle in the way, you'll only travel to the start of the obstacle. Maybe this is why you're not going the full distance?
As for Blight, the only similar thing I've seen is whenever you swing during a rush, you lunge for a bit before actually dealing damage. I think this is normal?
-
Sometimes if a gen is finished quick enough after the trial starts, the counter stays at 5 (when I say quick, I mean co-op plus toolboxes plus Prove Thyself). When that happens the gen does count as complete, and the counter should jump to 3 next time a gen is done. Hopefully it's just a visual bug like that?
-
I'd like to give a shout out to Archives guy, I love hearing him read the tomes to me.
-
Between the neon background, flashy outfit, wink at the camera, and first use of modern real-world language in the trial, there's really no denying this is a first for Dead by Daylight. And I'm excited for it!
The deal is four chapters a year, having them be vastly different from each other and push the boundary of the game is surely a good thing. They've taken an adventurous step with this chapter, and I can only hope it's a sign of more crazy things to come.
-
The progress of your challenges is kept and you can continue whenever you like, this includes unlocking the stories and the charms at the end of each level.
However, the Rift (the bit with levels 1-70) disappears and the rewards can no longer be obtained. A few months after that Rift closes, cosmetics from that Rift will start to become avaiilable in the store for purchase.
-
I'd be fine without it, I don't get offended by post-game chat. However, I've reported a couple of people who used outrageously unacceptable language (I mean the worst of the worst). My concern is, with the filter, I won't know if someone is being an absolute racist or just swearing, so I can't report the former.
The devs said they'll still look at reports because they'll have logs of the chat, but I won't take a guess and report language if I don't even know what's being said.
-
I've seen this happen before, and like you, only to Ash. Seems like it might be specific to him?
-
Dead Ringer Spy
-
Anything wth Nurse's Calling, you'd be surprised how often you can hit two or even three survivors through a wall, if they don't run when they hear the heartbeat.

I didnt even notice. Thats why Im confused here. Im not homophobic or anything but it just seems like things like a character's sexuality just aren't important to interesting character development.
Surely it depends on the character?
-
Personal preference I suppose, however:
Ruin is especially good on higher-mobility killers, since you can dash between gens quickly and make them regress, and
Corrupt is a bit more popular on set-up killers like Trapper and Hag, since they can prepare their traps without the first few gens flying quite so quick.
-
Ah, bit disappointing that :/
-
Wasn't Soldier: 76 a bit controversial because Blizzard were getting bad PR for something and they basically announced his sexuality as a way to distract from that?
Tracer might be a better comparison: her relationship was announced casually in a comic, and I think that was received pretty well?
-
@TheWarNung said:
Definitely not. They'll make some sort of announcement.
More anecdotally, I keep getting matched with players who are nowhere near my skill level even during the game's peak hours.
Weird, it got a hell of a lot better right after the desync fix, but all of a sudden the gap has gotten huge again.

Btw when you set up a poll you go to the bottom right where it says new discussion, click the arrow, and you can make a poll that way. No worries though
I dont use nurse though. I assume most use double though to rush survivors faster
Ah brilliant, was looking everywhwere but didn't see that wee arrow :)

A GAME THEORY???
Seriously though, maybe the lore will tie together in this chapter. I'm excited to see what they do and how it'll go over. I'm not one for fourth wall breaks in games like these, but if this is the case they may do some cool stuff to expand on the world rather than something like Danganronpa V3 did lol
For a while I hated V3's ending, but over time I've come to absolutely love it.
-
It's definitely different, but is it a bug? Could just be a style choice.
-
I actally thought it looked a bit brighter, I'll need to play on it again to see properly.

The bus was more abuseable, because survivors could stand inside the bus and be untouchable. Even if the killer went around, they would just exit the bus forcing the killer to have to run back to the otherside only to run back inside the bus again.
While this is annoying and makes you spend more time running around the tree. Survivors can't become untouchable.
True, good point!
-
This is the exact same scenario as the Autohaven bus: an already strong loop with a gap that survivors can pass through but killers can't. How does it make sense to disable the maps in the Autohaven case but not here?
-
How about if kicking a generator instantly regressed it by a small amount (somewhere from 1-5%)? It wouldn't make a huge difference in most cases, but would balance out the time it takes for the damage action vs. the amount of time a survivor would need to regain that progress (especially tapping it mid-chase).
-
It's happened to me (and I think a lot of other people as well), on a couple of different survivors. I guess the game randomly glitches and gives you one instead of the correct firecrackers.
-
Don't know what exactly it is, but the latest patch started causing it. The devs are working on it.
(There should be a little message near the top of the forums page talking about it.)
-
Sure, sounds interesting! I'd say a hammer or something to smash them, not too keen on rebuilding them though.
