@Dwight_Fairfield Well, this game is unbalanced but still a lot of fun. Playing the game a lot and finding it unbalanced don't contradict each other. On the contrary: The more you play it, the more you notice how unbalanced it is.
-
@Aven_Fallen Yes. The problem is that for now, Pig received a big nerf and didn't get anything for compensation. I'm afraid that a buff for Pig will take quite some time. Meanwhile, she is just a weak killer and I'm sorry for our Pig mains. :(
-
Myers can get looped for a long time. If it annoys you a lot, it definitely makes sense to switch to another killer.
And when you play Myers, it also makes sense to abandon some chases. If the survivors know what they are doing, you lose too much time chasing them in buildings like the one on Crotus Prenn.
-
My most played characters are Quentin and Meg because they are the prettiest.
Freddy because he feels close to playing survivor.
-
Nice to hear that the terror radius mechanic won't make it live. However, it's still an immense nerf that Pig's endgame is dead. If it stays that way, she needs a buff to make up for this.

No offense but I've already heard the thoughts of endgame on a killer POV I want to hear a survivor main's POV on endgame since there are so few on these forums see what they think too.
@KillermainBTWm8 The EGC doesn't feel like a threat since the timer is generously long. I believe that's okay because I think the EGC got only introduced to prevent survivors from taking the game hostage, not to actually kill them.
I'm fine with the changes concerning the hatch. The shorter exit gate opening time and the nerfs to Remember Me and the Pig don't feel necessary at all.
I want a fair game, not an easy one. I'd prefer to see the nerfs not going live.
-
Yes, it's a built-in Whispers, I made a thread about this two days ago:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/59119/built-in-whispers-for-the-pig
Bottom line: Built-in Whispers can be useful, but it doesn't make up for Pig's nerfs. I'd prefer to keep Pig how she currently is.
-
It has been like this for lots of weeks. Maybe the devs are hesitant with punishments since many people also dc because of crashs/bugs; we can only speculate.
Anyway, something needs to be done.

Just play Legion like Trapper with a map crossing sprint.
@ReikoMori You mean like a weaker version of Wraith?
-
@fenshing That's why I wrote that the EGC timer could slow down, if the devs feel like they really have to change something. At least that is something that the Pig could live with.
Now, Pig's endgame power is completely dead. She wasn't a strong killer to begin with and now she's really low on the tier list.
I really hope the devs take the players' feedback seriously and don't bring these changes live.
-
Absolutely not.
I don't think any changes were necessary. It always used to be difficult to survive when you got a RBT after the exit gates have been powered.
If the devs think they must change something, they could slow the EGC timer, like it happens for downed and hooked survivors. That would still be okay.
Also the RBT timer stopping in terror radius is unnecessary. In all my playtime I've never come across a moonwalking Pig.
-
There was no need to change the Pig's RBTs in the first place. If you got a RBT after the gens have been done, it has always been difficult to escape, but not impossible.
If the devs are convinced that they have to change something, they could slower the EGC timer, as it already happens when survivors are downed or hooked.
-
@Aven_Fallen Getting the Pig's RBT after the gens have been done was always a difficult situation for the survivor. Not impossible to survive, but difficult. I don't see the need to complete destroy the Pig's endgame power.
I really, really hope the devs acknowledge the players' feedback and don't bring these nerfs live.
-
@Andreyu44 And that only few hours after I replied to you here in the forum that the community isn't that big and players see familiar faces in the lobbies just by chance. 😀
-
@edgarpoop It is indeed weird. The EGC itself is nice, I was pretty happy after I've seen the introduction video. But now we have these unnecessary nerfs to Piggy, exit gates + Remember Me.
If the devs would just take the nerfs back, the EGC would be great. 3 minutes is a lot of time, survivors won't die because of the EGC. Only trolling/taking the game hostage would stop, and that would be fine.
-
Agree with the OP.
The EGC is a mechanic to prevent survivors from trolling/taking the game hostage, not to actually kill the survivors. And this is fine. What's not fine are the nerfs to Piggy, the exit gates + Remember Me.
-
@Orion I was only referring to the part "the first time this studio...". It's not the first time.
But we don't know how experienced the Death Garden devs are and we don't know how bad DbD's "spaghetti code" is.
-
@Aven_Fallen I'm not sure with the video, but the killer might have stood on top of the hatch, so that the hatch was blocked and the survivor couldn't jump in. Maybe the OP can clarify.
-
@Sythalin Death Garden already has dedicated servers, so there are employees with some experience.
-
@powerbats Killers might be the minority, but if they leave I won't get a game. I need somebody to play against.
-
The nerfs to Piggy are big but she is still better than Legion. And Freddy is still a tad weaker than Legion.
-
@Raccoon Same. I was so hyped for the new endgame, no taking the game hostage anymore. And now I see the nerfs to Pig and the exit gates which aren't necessary. :(
-
Basically, the hatch spawn rules stay the same. In addition, the hatch will also spawn when there is only 1 survivor left and only 1 or 0 gens have been done.
-
@thesuicidefox You can't just crouch the entire time, that's only 92% speed and too slow to patrol gens etc.
-
I'm disappointed. After the devs released the video for the Endgame Collapse, I was very happy because it meant no more taking the game hostage.
But now Pig got nerfed immensely, as well as the exit gate opening time + Remember Me.
I hope these changes won't make it live.
-
@Raptorrotas Don't shoot the messenger. 😉
I also hope that most of the nerfs won't make it live.

It just means you have to put them on before end game. Most Pigs use them before end game anyway. I used to keep one for end game just because but now I will be aiming to put it on before the last gen pops.
Exactly. It was very useful to keep one or two RBTs for the endgame. And it could turn the match when the killer got genrushed.
The Pig's endgame is dead now. It's an immense nerf.
-
@Raptorrotas said:
thanks for showing this in the forum, now the devs will remove that like they did for Legion's timer. WELL DONE!!! /s
Sorry, getting salty just reading the current reactions. Yeah, it could possibly be used that way, but now that they removed visible timers for legion they will probably do the same for pig.
@Raptorrotas Are you thinking I'm the only one who will notice this? The PTB is only out for a couple of minutes. Nearly everybody will notice this mechanic after they have played one game as Pig on the PTB.

@Tzeentchling9 said:
I'd rather have a literal DEATH timer ticking down when I'm within 32m of the Survivor, thanks.
@Tzeentchling9 I'd prefer this, too. I mean, think of Léry's and The Game - the survivor will be super often within the terror radius.
-
The reduced exit gate timer + Remember Me is indeed a big killer nerf. And the change to the RBT hits the Pig really, really hard. :(
-
I also don't understand it. Also the standard exit gate opening time got lowered from 20 to 15 seconds.
-
How are people supposed to write their opinion if they aren't allowed to complain? Or do you mean "no insults"?
-
It's a match where both sides want to win. The frustration comes from the game not being balanced. If the survivors had a 2nd objective, then the killers would have more time and we would be closer to a balanced game experience.
The survivors aren't to blame when they genrush, they only want to win. But it would help a lot if the players would acknowledge that the killer is at a big disadvantage. It only adds to the frustration and doesn't help anybody when they tell killers they need to improve while the killer knows that he doesn't have a fair chance winning.

Wiggling free is not supposed to be a thing that happens often. Mostly it's there to stop the killer from just carrying you all the way to the basement or wherever and for however long.
The problem with buffing wiggling perks is that if you make them too strong you start to give even more second chances in the game which there's already plenty of.
Exactly this. Boil over can't become another 2nd chance perk.
-
Yes, for closing the gap this is necessary.
-
It's because of her outfits.
-
Rules Set No. 2, Black Box, Red Paint Brush, Tattoo's Middle Finger don't feel like ultra-rare.
Red Paint Brush could be a very good add-on if the part with the reduced movement speed would get removed.
-
Nurse only needs some add-ons adjusted. Maybe it would be enough if her add-ons wouldn't stack.
Legion would need a complete power rework.
-
It only makes sense to treat a survivor who dc'ed like a dead survivor.
-
It would make sense to add Ghostface to DbD. Let's not assume that he is coming for sure, but after reading that tweet it sounds like it's possible.
-
Please play what you want. Choose the killers, perks, add-ons and offerings you like. You are not the fun provider for survivors. Do your thing.
And close the after-game chat permanently.
Unfortunately, there are some people that would always insult you, no matter how you play. If they win, it's "ez baby noob" and if they lose, it's "tryhard camper tunnler".
-
@Bongbingbing Yup. Everyone got super hyped so that the surprise didn't live up to people's expectations. But hey, double BP early May, that's really a nice surprise. :)
-
I really wonder why we haven't gotten this outfit so far. So many people are constantly asking for it (which is no wonder, it looks amazing). Please devs, give us Bunny Feng, we just want to give you our money! :(

It really depends on how devs will implement the hit registration handling. I can remember somebody writing a very detailed post on reddit about it. And from what I understand, it could be that not much will change or a lot. Hard to say. We will see.
@Freudentrauma Of course the killer's input needs prioritization, otherwise it won't work. I just said that the op's concerns aren't unjustified.
-
@Arroz It is the surprise. The devs never showed us the skins so early upfront, they used to get leaked by data miners.
-
@AntiJelly Well, yeah, some of them look nice. Still I was hoping for a bigger surprise.
-
So the devs are showing us the cosmetics before the data miners get them from the PTB's data. That's the surprise.
-
It's a legit concern that hits will change with dedicated servers.
-

I didnt notice a difference tbh.
I didn't notice a change either.

I'm pretty sure it's bugged. I super often don't get stacks when I tank hits for teammates.
