I'm placing my bets on some kind of community contest.

But thats rly strong.
10 seconds no scratch marks in a chase.
It's a very specific requirement. High risk/high reward
-
I see nothing in the perk description why it shouldn't work in a chase.
-
@JoannaVO NOED was timed based a long time ago (120 seconds).
-
Mettle of Man allows you to take an extra hit, but have your aura revealed if you heal.
Full SWF groups are in less than 10% of matches? Where do you have that statistics from?
-
@Lemming A debuff for 2nd-chance-perks is an interesting thought. We have exhaustion so that Lithe can't be combined with Dead Hard. There could be something similar for DS, MoM etc.
-
@TreemanXD So if there is a survivor group with 4 insta-heals and 4 x MoM, the killer shouldn't complain but be happy that the survivors give him so many chances to practice chasing?
That's surely a very unique view on this topic.
-
@TreemanXD So you are telling killers to not mind MoM but to see it as an opportunity to practice chasing/mindgaming survivors some more?
-
@TreemanXD So basically it's "you can counter MoM by hitting the survivor one more time".
-
@TreemanXD How can you mindgame against MoM?
-
@Poweas Well, you wrote: "And looking at that Huntress build, you're not expecting them to stay are you?" Of course that sounds like you were defending dc's against annoying perk/add-on builds. If you don't mean it that way, that's fine. Thank you for clarifying.
-
I like the basic idea of the bloodwebs. I'd prefer to put more perks in a bloodweb, and in the higher levels to let the players unlock more than one perk per level.
-
@Poweas You are saying it is ok to dc because the killer uses a specific perk/add-on setup?

Your win condition as the killer isn't all based on the survivors mistakes, most of it is based on your skill as the killer.
@Nickenzie Aaah, you are giving me a heart attack here! ;) You are really a Nurse main. :)
-
NOED used to work that way, it had a 120 seconds timer.
The timer would make most of the hex perks way too weak and not at all more viable for killers. We need better totem spawns.
-
@Coriander said:
Is only one gate 'powered' that starts the Collapse? There might be a gate to open that doesn't start the timer. I don't know.
@Coriander The Collapse starts when one of the exit gates has been opened. It doesn't matter which gate.
-
It's bad luck. I'm currently prestiging a killer and didn't get BBQ at all on the way to P1 LVL50 and then again to P2 LVL50. 100 bloodwebs without BBQ...
-
@Coriander said:
What if all the survivors are hiding in lockers or behind gens? Does that still work? There might not actually be any survivors nearby. BBQ is to discourage camping. If you don't see anyone, leave the hook and go check the gens!
@Coriander Was that a reply to my post? If yes, please don't forget to use @ tags. 😊
Concerning the issue: How should the killer know for sure whether everybody is close by or whether everybody is just hiding? If they don't see any auras, it's totally fine to assume that somebody must be close and search for that person in the area around the hook.
If survivors don't want the killer to camp, they should not hide their aura and give the killer an incentive to leave the hook. It's what I usually do. You can't hide your aura from BBQ and complain that the killer isn't coming for you at the same time.
-
If you are playing solo, it might not be you but your random teammates.
-
Also look at the circumstances:
Are all the gens done?
Is an almost completed gen close to the hook?
Is it a 3-gen-setup?
Does the killer know that another survivor is already close (scratchmarks for example)?
Does the killer think that another survivor is already close (no survivor was seen with BBQ)?
All these are situations where it makes sense to not leave the area where the person got hooked.
-
All of them need at least one perk that helps them in a chase. I prefer the combination of Enduring + Spirit Fury but you could also use Bamboozle.
-
@ReikoMori Leader doesn't affect gen repair speed anymore.
-
If you notice crouching survivors too late, you can try if Shadowborn helps you, since it increases your field of view.
-
Yes, when survivors and the killer are working together, just record the match and report them.
-
Yes. Say there are already two people with toolboxes. Now a third surv with a toolbox joins. A lot of killers will leave now because the match would be too unbalanced.
It could also be because of a bad ping, of course.
-
@Saint_Ukraine People dc for all different "reasons". I have survivors dc'ing when I down them for the first time early in the game. So many dc's everywhere since it seems there are currently no punishments.

@NoShinyPony Sounds like a pretty nerdy way to kill someone.
@Saint_Ukraine I had once a Pig following me around in stealth mode, just to prevent that I could remove the RBT at a box. I died of course, but the Pig totally lost the match since it didn't care about what the other survs were doing. Some people have weird priorities.

So body blocking the basement when someone loots it at the start of the match or after a basement hook for 100% free kills should be allowed cause the RBT exploit already exists?
No. It needs fixed. Just as this whole thing is to stop Survivors abusing stuff at end game, the Basement will just have to bite a minor nerf to stop people from exploiting.
@VexTheHex If a survivor gets downed in the basement before the timer starts, the other survs don't have to start the timer before they have rescued their teammate.
And if they can't rescue their teammate because Insidious Leatherface is waiting down there, it's just the normal basement play and nothing different from what we already have.

@NoShinyPony I never thought about that.
@Saint_Ukraine It's not bannable since it's not taking the game hostage. But of course only very few Pigs do that because it is such a time-waster.
-
@VexTheHex said:
Interested in it overall minus the Killer body blocking the basement stairs being confirmed sacrifices aspect. They didn't think that one through.
@VexTheHex A similar concept already exists: The Pig's activated RBTs. If the pig bodyblocks a survivor somewhere, the survivor will also die because of the exploding RBT.
-
@Jesya @ReikoMori There is a threshold, but those who go over the threshold won't get banned automatically. AFAIK, the devs still have to ban manually, which they do in "ban waves". When there is a ban wave, we will very likely notice it. (The forum would get flooded with "I've gotten banned"-threads.)
-
No. The devs said they will share new information about the Freddy rework with us next month.

As I said in the post you replied to, thetimer could start when there's only 1 survivor left. No hostage taking.
Currently, the timer activates when the hatch gets closed or when an exit gate gets opened AND the gens are blocked.
How should the timer start? Do you want to open the exit gate for the last survivor? That can't be the case.
-
These changes look good, I'm hyped. I really wanted a timer for the end-game. No more taking the game hostage, finally! 😊
-
But if the killer has closed the hatch and the surv didn't manage to open an exit gate before they get found, it's Game Over anyway? What difference does NOED make in that situation?
-
Also: Did you exit the locker slowly or did you use the fast exit?

couldn't the timer just start when there's 1 survivor left if they haven't done 2 gens? i don't see the need to punish the killer for dominating the match.
As I said, when the last surv doesn't have a way to escape, a lot of survs tend to hiding somewhere on the map and taking the game hostage. If you don't have tracking abilities, you won't find that last surv. I'd prefer to avoid those situations, even if it means that some survs might escape through the hatch if I don't slug.
-
A map consisting of a street and several houses wouldn't be called "Sidney's House".

True, I just think killers shouldn't be punished when the survivors fail so miserably.
@ggallinftw It's probably to avoid that the last survivor would take the game hostage. Imagine that zero or only one gen has been done. You have no idea where the last surv is. The surv doesn't try to repair the missing one or two gens but just hides randomly on the map. That could go on for ages.
Now, you can close the hatch and start the 3-minute-timer. And yes, there is the risk that the last surv finds the hatch first. Therefore, slugging is still an alternative.
I think it's more important to avoid situations where stand-offs and hostage taking can occur.
-
Well, it's still possible to slug for the 4k.
-
It clearly sounded that way from what the devs said in the video.
-
Why do you think this change is necessary?
-
@GrootDude said:
The funniest thing for me was I was cleansing the last dull totem and as soon as the last gen popped I cleansed it but it wasn’t a dull totem anymore. XD
This one. 😊 In the thousands of matches I've played, it only happened twice to me.
-
The timer starts when an exit gate is open. Since the killer can open the gates (once they are powered), I don't see a problem. It sounds better than how it currently is. With the End Game Collapse, survivors can't hold the game hostage anymore after the gens are done.
-
I called it. 😉
-
@PiiFree What a story! Sorry, but I had to laugh.
Btw, when I get stuck in trees, 2/3 killers let me live.
-
@PiiFree You killed them? 😨
-
@NoShinyPony With a PTB, it is expected that the players give feedback and that the devs and the community discuss the content, with the possibility that PTB content won't make it into the actual game.
The circumstances of the MoM leak were different. It's not about only PC players being important.
(I'm on console as well.)
-
@TreemanXD I know, but the MoM KYF leak wasn't officially recognized by the devs. A PTB is something different.
