Although some people do it just to be toxic, often it's just for the extra BP.
Its similar to how some survivors let killers get downs or hits at the exit gates. There usually aren't any toxic intentions behind it, but it gets survivors chase points.
-
Has to be the Santa skin too, you're giving them a late christmas gift.
-
No one deserves to be bullied in a game. Doesn't matter who you are, as long as you don't play like an ######### you don't deserve to be treated like an #########. Survivors and killers alike get salty over so many things and often refuse to blame themselves.
I will however mention, as this was an early point in your post, that although Spirit doesn't take no skill (every killer does take some skill atleast) she takes probably the second least skill for an S or A tier killer.
-
Its completely understandable to camp and tunnel in egc. Sometimes you just have to secure an extra kill, and there's not a problem in doing so. Only thing is, don't make it toxic (head nodding, whacking the survivor on the hook). Otherwise its completely fine in my book.

I’ll leave with this
Remember when survivors asked for a nerf the first time? Just a little nerf they said thats all, then they’ll shut up. Just remove the collision and then she’s fair.
So behaviour does that, few months of peace and then they all start the nerf campaign again.
This absolutely will not stop until she has the easiest and most obvious counterplay - just like Pyramid its all about switching control of the chase from killer to survivor. Thats what they’re used to, having full control of the chase against killers like Trapper, Wraith, leatherface, old freddy etc and so any killer that goes against they design they consider OP like spirit, nurse, pyramid and deathslinger.
In a way I hope they do nerf her because I think this would finally be the straw that breaks the camels back. It would be for me definitely. Not because I’m a spirit main but because it shows that survivors have creative control of the game, the game wont allow strong killers and that all killers must be at a disadvantage in a chase against the survivors. Each one of the 4 gets control of the chase against the 1 which is ridiculous design.
The same can be said for DS with killers. DS was extremely strong, it got nerfed. Killers were fine with it for a while before they looked for it to be nerfed again (which it has been)
Does that mean that DS didn't need a nerf? No. It 100% needed to be nerfed due to how abusable it was, but that doesn't mean Spirit doesn't need a nerf just because she was once nerfed before.

Do not feel bad for playing her, that's exactly what survivors want: to shame killers for picking X killer or Y perks. Meanwhile survivors can abuse all the BS that they have and still tbag and trash talk at the endgame.
Youre acting as if killers don't do the exact same thing back...
-
For Survivor I'd say
1. Dead Hard
2. Unbreakable
3. Spinechill
4. Current DS
5. Iron Will
6. Prove Thyself
7. Sprint Burst
8. Borrowed Time
9. WGLF
10. Kindred
As for killers, it's too hard to list as they're all very different.

Who wouldn't want this cute thing in dbd?
Jokes aside, I think scp would make a good fit in DBD, although it could be a bit hard. Some could have interesting powers like SCP-096. Although I haven't played the game related to them, I'd welcome SCP into DBD.
-
How about making check boxes to find the perk?
Each perk would be assigned a category (or multiple if it fell under multiple categories it would be assigned multiple) so for killer some could be Regression, Chase and Location survivors while some for survivors would be Progression, Exhaustion and Healing.
-
What if someone chooses 5 hex perks with one of them being Haunted Grounds?
Also, if this were to ever happen, just make it at level 50, needing it to be P3 50 makes it a huge grind.

The Spirit has that rather loud, phasing sound when she's near, that's also directional. I've found paying close attention to this and either walking/crouching or making a mess of scratch marks is a fair enough counter.
If you're in her TR when she starts phasing, the nouse doesn't play.
Additionally, the phasing noise isn't directional. It's like Huntresses humming. You hear it but you don't know where its coming from.

As a console Blight main myself, I can get where you're coming from.
While yes, his turning is pretty bad, he's not unplayable by any means. It just takes patience, knowledge, and time playing him on a console.
Like you said, by no means is he unplayable, and even with his poor turning he's still atleast a 115 character in chase.
Unfortunately, I'm not exactly someone you'd call patient, so trying to learn him would probably have me give up in only a few days.
-
As a console player, one of his main issues still exist, his horrible turning. Due to this, I can't see myself playing Blight upon the release of the new chapter.

Sometime hints at the bottom of the screen tell the Killer
"Facing Trapper" blablabla
Yep, its Trapper
That only occurs if it's one of your first few games against that killer or you're new to the game, so once you've played for a bit those hints won't show up.
-
I always find Blights to be 'tryhards' who slug at 5 gens.
I do however find Demos extremely nice, and you never a face a toxic demo.
-
I'm not exactly sure what yes means for this, but yes.
-
What? Are you saying survivors are playing killer with noed/basement bubba or are you saying they're giving up to them easily? Regardless killer mains do that stuff too.

He's right literally every time and I mean EVERY TIME I pick a low-mid tier killer to try and have "fun" I get the toxic click, click, tbag tbag, chase me chase me survivors. Always with the same characters/cosmetics thinking they're original when they're just as sad as the last idiot that tried to imitate whichever moron they saw on youtube like ochido, noob3 or ayrun.
Then these people cry when you use killers that can end their BS quickly. Hmm I wonder why.
Well then either you're getting extremely unlucky, or I'm getting extremely lucky as I rarely experience this with Clown
-
I'll admit, this sounds a tad bit dramatic. Some games have gen rushers and toxic survivors, but saying its "infested" is a bit over the top (except maybe for DS).
-
Hear me out on this one.
Gens should just fix themselves.
-
Remove the requirement for a protection hit and change it to when hit within a certain range of a survivor or something similar.
-
I'd argue devour hope devour could have that spot. Not only does it promote anti tunneling and anti camping, but it also promotes survivors to look for totems, helping them learn totem spawns.
The perk is also mostly balanced, making it one of the healthiest perks, if not the healthiest perk in the game.

But Devour hope already does that, so how would you make it unique?
Make it based on hooks and not unhooks. Maybe each token or every two tokens gives you a 1% speed boost, and at 4 or 5 tokens the exposed status effect at end game.
-
For survivor, although the first character I leveled up was Claud, I'm a Feng and Jeff main. Feng because I like her cosmetics, and Jeff because who doesn't like Jeff?
For killer, its much more of a fun factor over looks. The killers I play on a regular basis are Hillbilly, Bubba and Clown, with me also occasionally playing Oni, Wraith, Legion, Pig and PH. All of then I picked up for different reasons so I'll briefly list them.
Hillbilly: Wanted to see if the rework killed him, he seemed pretty fun so I learned him.
Bubba: Originally wanted to meme around with a basement build, ended up loving Bubba so much that I main him with a proper build.
Clown: Started maining him around Christmas just to meme around with his Santa skin. Ended up loving him despite him being weak.
Oni: To me a less fun but slightly stronger Billy, I often play him if I'm in the mood.
Wraith: A new killer to me, seems fun so Im trying him, especially due to the upcoming buff.
Legion: Simple killer that I play when I'm stressed.
Pig: Rarely player her after surveillance got nerfed, doesn't make her any worse of a killer however and my certain playstyle seems quite fun.
PH: An ex main who I now only play occasionally.
-
Borrowed Time it seems.
Basically, when a survivor unhooks another survivor in the killers terror radius, the unhooked survivor gains the endurance status effect for 15 seconds. If they're hit during these 15 seconds then they get the deep wound status effect but stay up.
-
Yes, although you can change them to be separate.
-
If this counts, I've had four survivors run No Mither, sending me to Autohaven before the realm was disabled when the bus was bugged.
It was the one match that I played Slinger, a killer I rarely play. Sucks to be them.

awesome idea.. would be an rng fest :D i have a better idea.. remove everything when she phases she cant hear or cant see #########.. ohh and afterphase she can't move for like 4 sec.. there would be a red addon that decrease this by 1 sec.. how about that? :) im really tired that you guys always want to nerf something.. adapt
I don't exactly see how I can adapt further. Three of my four perks are great against Spirit yet one is hard countered by Stridor, I make sure not to rustle grass or make my path too predictable. I've even played Spirit herself, and when I play her I feel like very little can stop me, and I haven't even played a ton of games with her, maybe 20 or 30, there or there abouts.
To put it simply. I've adapted as much as I can. I've changed builds, playstyle and learned the killer itself. If that's not enough, then I'm not exactly sure what is.
-
Just give all the guys shirtless cosmetics. No one could complain.
-
Slugging for the 4k is fine, albeit slightly annoying if you have no idea where hatch or the last surv is. Play how you want dude.
-
This seems a bit to far of a nerf for noed imo.
Although I'm in favour of a nerf somewhat, I'd much rather it would reward good play, like a token for each hook and at a certain amount of tokens you get the exposed status effect.

Shirtless Jeff or we riot
-
Remove her ability to hear survivors during her power (including footsteps) and maybe give her a speed increase during phasing to compensate. Makes her predictions take a lot more skill. There are probably better ways to nerf her but that's how I would.
-
Jeff > David though, it's a fact.
-
After the game, sure, but there will be mass dodging before the game if this were to be implemented.
-
This is the only correct choice.
-
It screws myself up more than it does for the survivors as I keep forgetting that I'm running the add on.

It only took almost 7 months to fix his pov
Much easier said than done. You'd think it's as easy as just changing a few numbers, unfortunately it's not, it's harder than that.
-
This would be great, and it would definitely fix the problem I have when I accidentally forget to pick a new challenge when switching sides.
-
Yeh that's fair, I don't know about others but I for one would be fine with that.
-
If I keep on having stressful games, I usually use it as a force to push myself to play better. I don't really use strong add ons, but rather I play my best as if the game was competitive rather than just playing casually.
Besides, I hate it when I release my stress on others, if it be in game or real life. Using strong add ons such as rhpf doesn't even relieve it for me because it just doesn't feel fun. It's like playing Slowdown Freddy, sure you'll win almost every game, but it'll feel boring for both sides in the process.
-
Anything from Celeste. The music just seems to calm me instantly or bring back good memories.
I'm also a fan of the Boss theme from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, although I'm still playing through that game so I may find a better song in it soon.

Don't do it! He has a family!

people say "oh shack basement" but i got killed bc i tried to activate it there
Unless you've got a ton of distance on the killer already, it truly is a waste and you'll get hit or downed instantly.
-
I'm the exact same as you. Legion, Plague and Wraith. Wraith does have better perks personally but that doesn't necessarily mean it's bad, while it's great on Legion and Plague as you and I both know.
-
I find the exact opposite occurs.
Need a key? Here take a Medkit that can't even heal to full because it has the add on that gives less charges.
5 gens left with only you and one guy making it practically impossible to win? Here have a Toolbox with charge add ons.
You've already practically won and no matter what you get it won't change the outcome of the game? Yeh, now you can have a key when it isn't vital.
-
Yes but no.
While it can serve a purpose when it comes to genrushing, the killer can just play outright poor rather than being genrushed and grab an undeserved kill or two due to Noed.

They also usually drop alongside a Chapter.
We had the Ormond and Autohaven reworks alongside the Twins, and the MacMillan Estate and Badham reworks alongside the Blight.
My bad then, as you can see someone else has the right awnser there so take their word for it over mine.
-
Map reworks usually come mid chapter iirc.
-
I tracked my stats for my first ever 25 games of Spirit once to try and convince myself if she had a skill curve or not.
Long story short only two of them weren't 3ks or 4ks.
Otherwise, no, I don't really track my stats as I prefer hopping instantly into the next match.
