Although killer perks do often get nerfed as the two people above have stated, there are alot more survivor perks that are controversial.

I love playing against spirit especially if I mind game them well.
1.When she is phasing avoid grass if possible
2. Consider doing things differently prevent being read for when she comes out of phase. Eg don't loop the killer shack, hold w or crouch into basement
3. Run back on your scratch marks or walk/crouch left or right
4. As mentioned you can crouch which reduces your noise so she can go flying by
5. At a jump point like a window or pallet run around in circles to cause more scratch marks
6. Work out her max phase times so when dropping a pallet you know which side to be on or mind game by being on the unexpected wrong side... getting a pallet stun feels so good
7. When she isn't phasing don't be afraid to hold w
Make a noise at a pallet or window then just crouch, usually the spirit will think you are slow vaulting back to grab you
Again, try not to be predictable at high level everyone learns routing which makes predictability
Play as spirit, so many survivors just give up without adapting making it harder but you should learn what she can do, see and learn from good survivors
They’re all very good pieces of advice! Just questioning however, what’s the point of the 5th one?

Demo mains that aren’t me. They all seem so nice and are fun to face.

You make her react to you, not you reacting to her. You have to be proactive, not reactive.
Give her false information and force her to guess.
It's the complete opposite of most killers. If you're looking for feedback from her you're already playing against her wrong.
Yknow I might bring Diversion just for facing a Spirit.

That's a popular opinion and I fully agree with it, but this is literally the only way to counter a Spirit in a somewhat reliable way: bring perks. If you're not bringing perks you're relying on wildly guessing when she's phasing and where she's phasing to. There's no logic in her counterplay so you bring perks to add some logic to it.
Fair enough, luckily I use those two perks anyways but I'll try to make more use of it.

Being unpredictable is the best thing you can do vs a spirit. I remember tru3ta1ent saying that if you crouch then your groans will have a reduced volume and the killer will think you are further away than you are and I've tested it a bit but I'm not certain if they missed me because I did that. Her standing still mindgame is the most annoying part of her kit and I wish it didn't exist. Otherwise its mostly about predicting how you think the spirit will play and playing against it.
@Phasmamain said:
Besides certain perks take a guess at the where she will go and try to counter that
So try and predict her movement while being unpredictable in my own? Got it. Hopefully that works.

Stealth play is the best against her. Actually, stealth is really good against lots of killers, but really strong against Nurse and Spirit. It's just the majority of people are bad at actual stealth.
You need to always position yourself facing the direction the Spirit will come from, difficult to do on center gens, but not so difficult to do on corner gens. The second Spine Chill lights up, walk towards the direction the Spirit will come from. Most of them will usually phase to the gens in hopes of a free grab or hit. By the time they reach it, you should be safe behind an LOS blocker, making your way away from her. Don't go back to the gen if it isn't almost complete because a lot of them will pretend to go away only to come back to it multiple times withing a span of 15 seconds.
This is actually really good advice, I'll try that out next time I face one. The only problem I can see with it is breathing noises, but I'm sure if I position myself right I'm sure itll be fine.

And you should be good to go.

And perk the Yui Kimura "Lucky Break"
Possibly an unpopular opinion, a perk shouldn't be required to counter a killer, the same way a killer shouldn't be completely countered by a perk.

I hate killers and survivors alike that get toxic after playing poorly. Killers like this and survivors that tbag and say gg ez despite literally 0 gens getting done are the ones I hate the most.
-
If I’m playing Pig and I’m either doing rubbish or someone Dcd, I’ll crouch beside a gen and start head nodding, pretending to fix it.

These are just some ideas for perks reworks I have. Feel free to discuss these in the comments
Solidarity: when healing someone with or without a medkit you have a conversion rate of 50%/60%/70%. Survivors you are healing have their pain grunt volume reduced by 25%/50%/75%
Distortion: You start the trial with 3/4/5 tokens. Every time your aura gets revealed by the killer you use a token. Your aura and scratch marks are then lost for 5/7/10 seconds. Every 30 seconds you are in the killers terror radius while out of chase gain a token
Autodidact: You start the Trial with a -25 % Progression penalty for Skill Checks to heal Survivors For every successful Skill Check completed while healing a Survivor, you receive a Token for a maximum of 3/4/5 Tokens.
- Each Token grants you a +15 % bonus Progression for a successful Skill Check while healing Survivors. Increases skill check odds by 10/15/20% while healing
Poised: Whenever a generator is completed you and allies within 10m of you leave no scratch marks for 6/8/12 seconds. This effect persists 15 seconds after they leave the area of effect
All of these seem fairly balanced.
-
I’m in full agreement for an obsession every match, however I’d rather the timer stays at 60 seconds.

I would say a survivor leaning at 45 degrees with half their body phasing through the wall they are squashed against is more clunky.
It looks more clunky but feels less clunky.
-
We don't need a huge killer buff or map nerf (for most killers and maps anyways). Also when people were complaining about movement being changed, it wasn't because of 360s or moon walking but that movement felt extremely clunky especially when rounding corners, although some people did like messing around with 360s and moon walking.
-
To awnser the first part, if killer was there then they take priority in closing it.
As for the second part, its unfixable as the server sees you use Dead Hard after you've already gone down despite it being beforehand on your screen.
-
Personally Freddy just about takes the spot over Blight and Hag, due to him having a bit of everything (Map mobility, a chase power, natural slow down and the ability to find survivors). He may not be the best at each one individually, but he’s darn good at each one, hence I believe he’s the third best.

Your not a Killer main.
Killer main here, I agree with him completely.

Favourite
1st Clown
2nd Demo
3rd Bubba
4th Twins
5th PH
Least Favourite
1st Freddy
2nd Spirit
3rd Hag
4th Trapper
5th Blight

Bond/Empathy and Kindred are some great solo perks regardless, as is Spinechill with SB.
A personal favourite build of mine is Kindred, Spinechill, Prove Thyself and Better Together, with the last two perks getting my team on gens which is a lot more general.
Lithe is good with Q&Q, and Fixated is great with SB.

-
The only things here I agree with is the first and last one.
-
A lot of the perks aren’t actually bad, it’s just that there are a distinct few that are very good, high above the rest, henc I’d rather them nerfed than weaker perks buffed.
-
I wouldn’t. The game is too different and feels much different to be accurate.
-
Possibly an unpopular change but here it is.
Iron Will now trumps Stridor. After being injured, Iron Will activates for 120 seconds. After such, it deactivates up until you enter the healthy state. This 120 second timer is paused if you are in the dying state or you are hooked/caged.

Sounds a bit too strong, that 5% is a lot more than it might seem even if it’s a bit situational.

If a survivor doesn't go towards the traps then yes trapper is an m1 killer that is true but that doesn't make him weak. You can deny some loops by placing traps while in chase. If you use bag addons trapper doesn't even need to pickup too many traps. A good strategy for placing traps is when a survivor is hooked which wastes less time for trap placement, trapper is really good in right hands, all he needs is a bit of strategy and some luck.
The problem is the last word you put there. Luck. Without that, he's an M1 killer who's wasted time placing traps around the map wasting even more time for no point. It's why Pig is also a weak killer. If it comes down to luck, and not a small amount of it, the killer isn't good.
-
@RK67 said:
Trapper is not really D tier if you have good trap placement. People really underestimate him. Many survivors tend to not look towards the ground and tend to get trapped in unexpected traps quite easily. Trapper is really good in mid and end game.
@CheesyGuy Ya I too think wraith is among the list of weaker killers. Even with his speed boost, his uncloak time remains the same which makes him weak. One has to work hard to score kills with wraith.
He may be able to have great trap placement which is great, but when compared to the other killers he just isn't good enough. His chase power all relies on if the survivor goes to a certain loop, and while this is fine for Freddy and Hag, it's not for Trapper as he has to go around collecting his traps.
-
Trapper, to me, is the only D tier killer in the game right now. The rest have atleast something good going for them that makes them better than Trapper.
-
Although I naturally haven't played on both, I play on Xbox due to things outside of DBD hence my preference.
-
What's your build for them may I ask?

It's what I want to see, tbh: if there's really be more spirits etc, or if the game would get more relaxed.
LBH: Bubba and Freddy especially have a gameplay that is too easily exploitable, which also lead to their high pickrate. They're iWin buttons. Pig and Ghostface are better balanced, and michael is michael.
I agree with Freddy, but I disagree with Bubba, a good survivor will usually come out on top against a Bubba.
Also, does Demo fall in the group with Pig and GF?
-
I really don't see why you think this would be a good idea... nothing good can really come from this.
For starters, I'd be losing three killers that I enjoy. Even if its for only a weekend, its reducing the amount of killers I can play and I like variety.
Loads of people, not just myself, like playing licensed killers. There's no point to this suggestion.
-
If I had to take a guess it's to win.
Personally however, using all that strong stuff is boring, hence why I play weak killers all the time.
-
Due to it having a condition of having to have survivors run through your trail AND that the killer doesn't have their perks activate from it, I find it completely fine.
-
I'm not sure how it was intended to be used, but it's main use is in a swf to tell the rest of the team the exact placement of the killer.
-
I'd personally prefer if they worked on original cosmetics, however I wouldn't complain if we got licensed ones.
-
As much as I love Clown, Doc is by far the stronger due to him being able to locate survivors easily and having built in slowdown with a chase power.
Despite this, I find Clown much more enjoyable to play.

did you read what i say. they got hacked one week before they announce it.
So would you rather they said they'd been hacked immediately after it happened while not being able to confirm if they got any vital information nor that they fixed it?
-
I hate facing Aces. Not only are they mostly good, but they're also mostly toxic from my experience.
-
Demo, Clown and Bubba rn, trying to learn Twins.
-
Freddy if they're doing a full focused slowdown build, otherwise MD Ring Spirit or Iri Head Huntress.
-
I'd just assume we were clumped in with the UK here, as I can't think of a reason why we wouldn't be included.
Sorry if you're not the right person to tag, but @MandyTalk , do you know anything about this?
-
I don't want to be bragging, but its basically that I rarely lose. If I do lose then I try to look why did I lose.
Was I too aggresive? Was there a certain moment where I screwed up? Or did I have no chance in the beginning despite playing my cards right?
Sometimes I get badly annoyed by this game, especially when the survivors get toxic about it, but I'm used to it.
-
Still needs some polishing, but for the most part it's been great.

I'm talking about everything. Like does what they do fit? Lore? Looks? Ect.
Cool
Then I'd say Mr X. Due to fnaf being heavily based on Jumpscares and only moving when you're not looking at them, I'd find it hard for its lore to make sense in the game.
Its kind of the same with how The Wendigo from Until Dawn just wouldn't work despite it being cool, as its ability to only see things moving couldn't work in dbd without screwing with the lore.
-
If they ever have to change something and delay the chapter a tad bit, then people would be angry. If they never give an official date however, no one can get angry because technically it was never delayed.
-
Are we going just off looks? Or the entire lore of the game aswell? If looks, then Springtrap. If we are taking everything into account other than my opinion on both games, Mr X.
