It won't, BT now works with the killer's terror radius regardless if they're undetectable or not AND they have to be near the hook, for example a clocked wraith is facecamping and you save the survivor who's being camped that survivor will get endurance Why? because the wraith is within 32 meters, Like if he wasn't cloaked you will hear his heartbeat which will trigger BT if you save the camped survivor It depends on the killer's terror radius The smallest terror radius in the whole game currently It's huntress she has a 20 meter terror radius
okay now i'm confused. If BT is supposed to activate within a certain amount of range depending on the killer than that's a little off. It needs to activate if the killer is at least 32 meters away from the hook regardless who the killer is. Sorry I'm like kind of frustrated.

For example ghostface's terror radius is 32 meters
when he's using his power and he's camping and you unhook a survivor that survivor will have endurance IF you're within 32 meters I hope this made sense
I get it now. It would make sense because why should it activate if a killer is on the other side of the map???

BT will always activate no matter how far the killer is from you. Even if the killer is Undetectable, which is the reason why they made this change.
did they confirm that though?? It doesn't say in the devs update thread. Like I know it's gonna work against all killers but they didn't say it would activate regardless of where the killer is.

Yes, that change is what brought this up. You shouldn't have to equip perk for something that makes sense to just be part of the baseline UI.
at least they put a totem counter in small game, I understand a lot of people are disappointed it isn't base kit but I'll take it.

Infinite Meters 🙂
someone said it doesn't matter where the killer is you will get endurance. But I highly doubt that??
-
No it now counters stealth killers who camp, if you don't like it go after the unhooker.
-
@bm33 said:
Just don't camp/tunnel. If you really can't resist tunneling someone just count to 12 before you pounce.
a spirit did that to me the other day, but last second she decided to drop me off at the gates which was nice.
-
I'm sorry but BT should counter play stealth killers too, no one likes to be camped!!
-
My favorite part about this update is the changes to BT and small game. As you mentioned the perk will now counter stealth killers. I love having a totem counter which is what everyone has been asking for a long time. Yes it won't be on the UI but as someone who plays a little more solo I will gladly equip small game more often.

@Pulsar said:
I just want to end no-win scenario's.
It should have a time requirement as well, no unhooking as soon as the Killers back is turned.
what exactly do you mean by time requirement?? and even if the killers back is "turned" they could still be camping. Unless if what you mean is they're far away from the hook.

In case you didn't bother reading my response to the other guy...
"Freddy needed some changes yeah, but a nerf was not the right direction to go.
Instead they should have made his power more skillful and fun for both sides. Because that's the problem with Freddy, it's not that he's strong, it's that he's strong and boring.
(Also I'm salty they didn't give us a way to play as Old Freddy.)"
This dumbass nerf was completely unwarranted and not the right direction to take Freddy.
everything you just said is this change Freddy is getting.
-
For something that I almost didn't think was ever gonna happen, I will use it a lot in solo queue. I'm just glad the devs finally listened to us.

this is a MUCH needed change for BT I'm so glad they finally listened to us.

Voted yes for two reasons. Solo survs have no way to know how many totems their team has cleansed and it often rewards bad killers.
just put a totem counter on small game or in the UI and there will be no reason why you shouldn't cleanse all 5 totems.

When I used to use DS I wasn’t “toxic” and to my knowledge I didn’t abuse it either.
If your happy with the change why are you making this post, just move on.
I think he's only calling out the people that abused old DS heavily.

Worry not, the rework shall fix it:
-Breakable Walls that create infinites
-Safe pallets everywhere
-Broken windows
It will be a very balanced map :)
breakable walls are a pain in the butt in Gideon, Let's not put those in Haddonfield please. 😂

who the hell even taps a gen while being chased???

I have no interest in him or his perks. I might buy him with shards eventually
I have like 52 thousand shards but for some odd reason i'm too lazy to spend them.

Hey man you just take as much time as you need to step away. Breaks are important and I hope to see you back in the fog eventually.

oh look another NOED thread.

Or you pick Wraith, and then you see a 4 flashlight bully squad in the lobby. Why can you not switch to anything other than Wraith?
We used to be able to switch killers in lobby . . . YEARS ago. Please bring that back, or remove the survivors ability to switch characters in Lobby. Either way it'd be more fair, although I'd recommend ADDING features over removing.
they should also remove the ability for survivors to key switch last second to avoids franklins, man that (BAD WORD) annoys me.

why were you not using perks???

It wasn't. It no longer gives you a tactical advantage as it used to, since you cannot kill someone early on. It is literally just an animation, while keys can make the game end faster than it should.
i just hope whatever change comes you still can't mori people off first hook.
-
@GeneralV said:

Make them useful again, most likely. There is currently no reason to use a mori, unless you just like the animation. As for keys, we all know they need changes as soon as possible.
Yes keys do need a change but I really felt like the mori nerf was fine.

Run ds for tunneling. It still prevents tunneling, you just can't sit on a gen with 60 seconds of invincibility anymore.
even if you do bring DS it's not gonna stop some killers from tunneling.
-
I'm okay with being camped as long as my teammates rush out gens and leave I mean that's the punishment killers get. I don't know how else to punish camping.
-
I've probably see around 5-6 bunny outfits in my matches since they were released.
-
that makes no sense though they've already been nerfed what they are trying to change with them this time??
-
I don't know why people have in issue with this, it's nice to give a killer a free hit I always do so they feel somewhat better after the game. I just can't stand survivors who run around at the gates and leave without giving a killer a hit I mean come on don't be an (BAD WORD).

changing the animation or the offering??

gotta love the whiny killer mains they want everything easy and handed to them instead of actually getting good at game...I like how killer mains say theres no counter play to keys yet they hav a perk specifically to get rid of items
Franklins dosen't help much because survivors can drop keys and retrieve them once the hatch spawns.

Well, good news! Keys and Moris will get changed again in the future, so we can look forward to that.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2097321#Comment_2097321
It is "no-one sided", in my opinion. Just an overall bad mechanic which should be removed.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2097307#Comment_2097307
I agree. But take my opinion with a grain of salt, because I agree pretty much with anything that would make matches go slower. I really hate fast-paced trials.
but moris already got nerfed, unless they're nerfing them again??
-
part of why ruin/undying got nerfed because it carried a lot of mediocre killers in matches so this way you need to actually put more effort. Sorry but if i'm playing solo I shouldn't have to go around the map cleansing 4 hex totems that's too much of my time.
-
I have yet to experience 4 survivors have keys at the same time and I can't even imagine how infuriating that could be for killers.
-
I know how you feel I hate those games where survivors just hide and don't do gens. Just out of curiosity what rank were they??
-
@OniWantsYourMacaroni said:
The only change we need for keys is changing the hatch spawn rules in a way that it only spawns after all gens are done OR 1 alive survivor is left in the trial.
Super easy change.
this is a good change it's just ridiculous that it's taking the devs this long for them to nerf keys since they said they plan on changing them.
-
I think killers run noed so that if all gens popped, they can try to get a down or a couple to slow the endgame down if that makes sense.
-
I rarely go against Ghostface and Myers. I use to play against them quite often. But then when I make statements is when i’ll see them more lol.

Imagine having already played against a sweaty killer that basically sucked any fun out of the game and face camped and played toxic was possible to avoid in the future which in turn might make them think about playing with an ounce of decency.
You can report killers for griefing yet nothing rarely happens..
Why waste time playing against players you clearly know are gonna just kill 20 minutes of your time playing toxic. You can report players for playing as such, id rather not waste what precious time I have to play games by just avoiding them completely. Theres nothing sinister about it, it isnt gaining a upper hand,. its not playing against try hards...
Seems a simple win surely
camping/tunneling is not reportable if that’s what you’re referring too.
-
@I_am_Negan said:
It's not meant to help you get more kills it's to end the match. If you don't want them 99 open them yourself. If the survivor dancer party bothers you don't go to the exit gates.
This! Except I don’t let survivors teabag bother me, I just chase them out so I can move on to my next match.
-
haha that's funny you mentioned all this when I sometimes think to myself "how can hag pick up survivors who are taller and look stronger than her"?

Been here since the very beginning but must lingered around like a weaponless wraith until today,
Im on Ps5 and currently Rank3 (R2 then back to R3) this week, this mainly seems to be due to Face Camping try hard PC killers that wont leave the hook if your unfortunate enough to actually play and not skulk around the map with urban.
Ive literally had about 6 games on the bounce, all killers PC and rank1 and rank2 and their gameplay is just plain nasty toxic and no fun whatsoever. I didnt even realise that facecamping so hard was still a thing (not seen it for a long time) and since Ive made note of the players being Aholes, I have no desire to want to play any of them again if possible.
Seeing the killers MO pre game would be a huge plus, i dont wanna see his rank or perks, just his name so you can make the choice pre game and decide if you continue or not.
Not the most outlandish request to fulfil surely..
imagine dodging a lobby all because of someone's profile gamertag...
-
this is basically the only second chance perk a killer gets, why can't we just leave it alone?? Do I hate dying to NOED?? Yeah it can be a slap in the face but if it ever comes into play. you can do a few things.
- just leave ASAP
- find NOED and break it.
- bring small game
- bring detectives hunch
- bring a rainbow map
I love small game and I broke all 5 totems with it once.
-
Try running some gen slowdown perks. Ruin and pop are both good.
-
Look I appreciate the effort you put into this thread but I'm sorry but BBQ is fine. I don't have anything much to say about it.
-
I think the game is a bad map but not as bad as Haddonfield. I think they need to do something about some of the pallets and breakable walls.

@Zixology said:
DS was psychological.
I was NEVER an anti-tunnel perk. Still isn't. If a killer wants to tunnel you, DS won't stop them.
The problem is that people THOUGHT it was an anti-tunnel perk. So lots of survivors would use it. Now that it's nerfed, the survivor mindset is "Don't use DS, it's bad now." And lots of killer's mindsets are "No one is using DS, it's bad now."
Now, without as many people using DS, there's more games without an obsession; and the games WITH an obsession will still have tunneling killers anyway because of the new mindset the nerf has given the community.
Even if a killer does get hit with a DS now, they'll realize sooner that 5 seconds doesn't mean much. Scratch marks and blood and sound still exist. And they can still tunnel the survivor. And if a survivor uses it now, they'll notice that it didn't help them, because they're still being tunneled.
DS was never the solution. Now, it's just showing a real problem.
I've seen a lot of people suggest after the stun the survivor leaves no scratch marks or blood for a few seconds so that killer has to actually hunt that survivor down again.
