I smack them at 1 crow, hook at 3 crows, if I'm playing killer.
If killer is AFK, I do the closest gen to that killer. Although it did backfire on me the other day. Killer was pretending to afk, 3 gens down and still standing still. I go to do the gen in front of him and THEN he comes out to tunnel and face camp me while beating me on hook. At last second after last gen done, a Bill Dead Hards the Nemi swing, saves me with BT, I body block for him, then the rest of the team blocks for me all the way to the gate that was only 20m from the hook. He EARNED that 0k. AFK killer strat doesn't work on McMillan.

It is fun in matches where the survivors are overly altruistic . . . but not stupid. seeing them spend 3-5 min peeking around the corner to see if I'm still there is as satisfying as playing lean peek-a-boo as Ghosty.

Maaaaaaaan
It's not that they are tryhards, it's that they are so reliant on crutch killers and perks. It makes me weep for my fellow killers.

sure, remove the moris when they do something about 4 man SWFs using voice coms, keys, maps, and hatch offerings.

Only shows auras of those near DULL totems.

Counterforce + Small Game IS the counterplay to NOED, and all other hex perks. Welcome to the new meta: Lightborn Killers and Totem-Rushing survivors.

To me it depends on one thing.
Is that brown rank a genuine new player playing with his friends? Or is it someone on an alt so that they can all bully a new killer.
If it's the former I have no problem with it. People shouldnt be denied the opportunity to play with their friends especially if the more experienced ones are trying to teach their newer friend how to play.
If it's the latter however, I am against it. The whole intention at that point isnt even to win like gen rush squads, it's just to bully a new killer and be a dick.
I've never been messaged so I don't know the context of what type of berating messages.
To Quote:(names changed to protect the guilty)
-Richard1-: "Lightborn won't stop the gen-rush, Trash"
Me: "I was just after the 4th stack of BBQ, well played, though"
-Richard1-: "Then unistall the game, you suck too much to play this game."
-Richard2-: "While you're at it, uninstall yourself from life. Nobody will miss you."
(at this point I took the appropriate measures, no need to direct me to those)
Definitely bullying. when I tried to chase the rank 17 I got swarmed and farmed for protection hits.

Scythe or Kunai w/ Chain. Barbed Wire wrapped boxing gloves.
A killer that kicks people Mui Thai style would be cool too. Especially if his Mori involved the chanting of "Kali-Ma! Kali-Ma!"

Yes, they can.
Which is why i asked about the Terror Radius, that's within the 32 meters.
Or well, y'know, the regular size of the TR.
I was gonna say, on my Doctor, on The Game, EVERYTHING is my TR, lol.
-
As a killer main, when that happens, I just smack 'em on the rump once, and look for the others.
It's not cool to be next to the killer at spawn. I figure I'll get them on their way with the hit-speed-boost.
-
Play Doctor with Calm addon Starstruck, Agitation, Iron Grip, and Thrilling Tremors/Oppression
Then take THAT to The Game . . . great game, then

Good to know, i didn't realize i was playing a PvE game.
You just have to ask yourself, "Do I want a fun game, or a sweaty game?"
I like fun games, I don't wanna play sweaty/scummy. Bring things like that and I will, or I'll just walk in circles at the exit then open the gate.

On Ormond you want to protect the side with the killer shack. If you can defend those three gens plus the middle one for as long as possible, you'll end up with a manageable 3 gen, plus easy access to the basement no matter which spawn.
Last match I had on Ormand (rank 12 killer Clown) 1 gen next to shack, the rest in the other corners and along opposite side. And yes, it was a 4 man breakdown squad of rank 4s. I slugged all 4 to death and got called toxic and that they'd "Report your ######## ###!"
Just waning these people what to expect.

That's not how balancing works. Making one side blatantly overpowered in a game whose playerbase is getting more and more competitive... Need I finish that thought?
That IS how balancing works if one side is guaranteed to have 4 people and the other side only has 1. You have to make the power approximately equal between the 2 sides. Survivor side has 16 perks and 4 offerings available to them, Killer Side has 4 perk slots and 1 offering slot. With the competitive nature of SWFs (not just 3-4 man, but even the duos are getting viscous), Killers need a leg up against them, but the issue is that doing so ruins the game for solo queue players. But when underpowered killers face these competitive SWFs, many just stop playing killer all together. resulting in the massive queue times you see during prime time. There is just way too many layers here that a "Buff The Killers" or "Nerf the Killers" forum post can address.
TL;DR: This game is too complex for a simple solution, which is why it hasn't been addressed.

In my experience those realm have much tighter gen spread compared to ormond. Ormond gens are usually very spaced out.
Ormand Gens: 1 in the middle, the rest located around the rings of Saturn.

Ormand w/ Breakdown exploit still in game not that bad? You have to be joking.

why does it matter if you’re a high tier killer like nurse or a low tier killer like trickster when it comes to using a key? How does that exactly make them a coward? How does it make them a coward that they used the key during end game collapse although you only got 1 hook? These are questions you should be asking yourself. Sure last switching to a key last minute is kind of scummy but if you saw they last second switched you could of just task managered out with no penalty.
Maybe look at the killer level before you make assumptions.

All 4 of them escaped mean all the gens got done. They clearly didn't even need the key against you, no offense. You ARE playing trickster, the weakest killer in the game.

I'll remember to blurr/redact in the future, and as for the chat, I typed that before I noticed the crossplay.

It was a last second switch, and they used it in my face. When it's obvious you are against a much lower skilled killer, why use it? It just seems, I don't know, rude?
Also, this is just one example, been seeing a LOT of these this past week.

You guys 3 genned yourselves. Unless it's a trapper or hag, 3gens are always survivors fault.

If the system worked perfectly and there's enough survivors and killers of various ranks.
The system looks for players up to 8 ranks from the killer depending on how long they wait in queue.
Players below rank 15 can be paired with any rank given they waited in queue long enough.
In reality, there's not enough players of various ranks to fill lobbies. After long queue lengths the system will pair players that waited the longest.
And then there's the killer side. Depending on how long the survivors have waited in queue, the Matchmaing will ignore killer rank to get the survivors a match. when I was at rank 17 I was matched against a full rank 1, 4 man SWF. when I saw what I was facing, I just stood infront of the exit gate and made them play Skill Check Simulator 2021.
-
Killer main here.
Do I hate Survivor mains? no, I need 4 survivors to have a single match. The issues in this game are not about survivor vs. killer, it's an issue of balance and player toxicity.
Killer side you have 4 perk slots to work with, survivors have 16 slots divided between them. Perk balance is very touchy because of this.
And then there's the toxicity. Survivors t-bagging at pallets, windows, and in the exit areas. Chaining stuns on killers (1 or 2 isn't toxic, but I've had a 4 man flash bully squad keep me stun locked for almost 4 min between head-on, flashlights, and it started with a DS pre-nerf, reviewed my footage and they were unhooked 59.372 seconds before I got stunned). Killers face-camping, hitting on hook multiple times (I'll hit once on hook to silence the scream so I can try to hear other survivors in the area, since it cuts off the scream).
The problems in this game are 50% BHVR needing to balance and 50% players being bungholes to eachother.
-
I like to find the weak looper of the group and get them to drop ALL the pallets. It's worth loosing 1 gen to be rid of those. After that it's a fairly easy map.
-
Sounds like you've encountered the hackers. Best advice is to deal with it during trial and check their addons in post match. If there's more than 2 addons, or 2 of the exact same(name and rarety) then report.
-
As killer main, I have 4 requests:
1) DO NOT ABUSE EXPLOITS
2) quit t-bagging at the exit gates
3) no more than 2 flashlight stun chains or Head On stuns (talking back to back, like as soon as one ends you hit with the other
4) Treat us with the same decency you give a dog that tried to do a trick for you
We (killers) are not your babysitters or your punching bags. We aren't the ones who took your lunch money in 3rd grade. You may have personal issues going on in your life, but please, don't take that out on us. Killers are people too (except for Demo, he's a monster from another dimension!)
-
We need Clown in a Borat Mankini w/ combat boots and a farmer's tan, Billy in dirty boxers with pink hearts on them, and Doctor in a blood smeared labcoat and purple panties.
-
As a killer main, I don't go after the unhooked unless:
1) they last second switched to key in lobby
2) they BT tank a hit meant for the unhooker
3) The unhooker ninja'd on them and they are the only survivor I see
or
4) it's required for the perk build (No Way Out, Remember Me, Blood Warden, NOED) but I only bring that out when I see 2+ TTVs in the lobby.
Edit to add: I also don't like it when survivors farm each other on the hook, totally messes up my chaser emblems.
-
I'd suggest Spies, Thana, Corrupt, and Thrilling
if thana makes them clense, you are an off-brand huntress with flair, if they don't you get free gen slowdown
Thrilling is great for slowing gens and finding targets
Spies makes the crows useful even indoors
Also, there's a great reason she comes with Corrupt in her teachables . . .
-
I like Spies, Starstruck, BBQ, and Corrupt
Spies to find them at first, Corrupt to drive them to you, Starstruck to make them not want to hook sabo and to drive them away, and BBQ to find them again, then Spies help you when you are near again
Can swap out Starstruck for Iron Maiden for a little cheekiness with BBQ

Worst offenders are the ones that switch to key at the last second in lobby.
I normally don't condone tunneling, but if that's what it takes to make the key go away . . . Sad thing is, they key-swapper is usually the worst looper, from my experience, so . . .

Pumpkinhead, The Creeper from Jeepers Creepers, Werewolf (The Howling style preferred, please no the Wolfman), Vampire (wolf form for quick running and teleport with swarm of bats?), Gator-Human hybrid (like Killer Croc, but not copyrighted?), Cenobite things (similar to but not copy-claimable by the rights holders of Hellraiser), Rawhead Rex (the legendary evil fae, NOT the one from the movie)
or just anything from the public domain part of H. P. Lovecraft.

Actually, it was toxic because of HOW it was used. BT tank hit for unhooker, followed 4 sec later by 3rd person ninja pallet stun, then 8 seconds later 4th person bobyblocks me into a wall allowing them all to escape. They tapped the gate open on their way. total BS. This game wasn't designed for that level of survivor coordination.

I don't know why people get upset at BT being used to tank a hit. Frankly, I think it's a bad play most of the time. but if you can prevent a down with BT, then by all means do so. Having that deep woulds effect just guarantees the killer got something out of it anyway. Because you can ignore being injured to do a generator - but you can't ignore Deep Wounds.
You can ignore Deep Wounds if it's a mad dash to the exit gates. I only got 4 hooks that entire trial because those rank 20s were playing like, and had the perks/offerings/addons of a rank 1, 4 man SWF.
-
There's a difference between Teamwork and bullying. they crossed that line SEVERAL times in that trial, and they aren't the only ones today.
BT Bodyblocking and BT protection hits need to be stopped permanently. If you have BT, you shouldn't have collision.
If you come from the side and pallet stun the killer during chase, the one being chased should get 1/2 the stun the killer gets.
next time I see even the slightest hint of coordination like this, I'm just gonna make them play Skill Check Simulator while I strafe back and forth on the exit gate, opening it the INSTANT the last gen is done. these SWF Bullies are not getting ANYTHING from me ever again! Not until the mechanics are fixed and the game is less Babysit the Gen RATS!

I can't find any killer I enjoy on this map at all. It's not about viability or winning or losing. I win most of my matches on this map. It's just not remotely fun to play on.
OK, I can understand that. It's like I don't like playing on Coldwind when I'm on Doc, or The Game on Wraith, or Midwitch on anything. Personal Preferences are completely understandable.
-
Certain killers SHINE on the indoor maps. Doctor, Demo, Even Plague can be good there. Just need to have a detection perk that works on those maps like Spies (Doc has built-in detection so he's exempt). Whispers tends to be almost useless on indoor maps (especially The Game). I've seen many killers who rely on Whispers, and those are the ones that have the biggest issues indoors. Indoor maps are the #1 reason I use Spies and/or Surveillance. Gotta rely more on game sense and audio than line of sight, too.
tl;dr Indoor maps are just as viable for killers as open maps, just require different skill set.
-
I haven't played that. Are you suggesting something like 60 seconds of sprint before they need to let the bar full back up? If so you'd have survivors leave the game in droves. 120 seconds of stamina before needing a 30 second rest? Survivors would still be leaving in droves, but, honestly, if a killer is chasing someone for that long, they are gonna lose the trial anyway.
-
I run with Distressing, Corrupt, Thrilling, Hex: Haunted Ground
That's one of my favorite builds on him.

So Starting off 8 is pretty close to your rank matching to start off. As its 6 plus or minus. So for 15 its anyone in rank of 9 to 20. Meaning most likely what happened is they were a 4 man SWF. You waited probably between 5-10 minutes and the match making expanded.
That would be my best guess on to why you hit this. So I guess my question for you is this. Would you rather wait 20 minutes plus for people who are only between the ranks of 9-20 or would you rather play the game, lose and get some hard experience?
Cause I'd rather lose then stare at a searching lobby for 20 minutes or longer... People already complain about waiting the 5 to 10 minutes to get matches that are fair-ish most times.
If this is going to keep happening, maybe the game should give some form ofnotification that it is expanding the matchmaking, like a pop-up with a sound. I'd have run my better build if I'd known it was giving me expanded ranks like that.
20-10 rank survivors typically dont handle BloodWarden/RememberMe/NOED/and that Trickster endgame one when run together. Red Racks should be experienced enough to handle it.
EDIT: spelling

To be honest, you picked a very weak killer, picked the most busted map in the game, brought no add-ons and were running perks with very little value.
The outcome was probably going to be the same irregardless of the survivor ranks.
BBQ and Spies work for me for finding survivors, Sloppy+Thanataphobia give decent slowdown in the teens ranks. I've gotten 4Ks out of this perk setup many times. Even on Haddonfield I average a 2K. But that's when highest rank in lobby is 10, 9 at most.
I have faced full red rank flashlight bully squads 3 times in the past week. The issue isn't my perks, lack of addons (clowns non-iridescent addons don't have that much of an impact if you play him as an M1 killer with a little "Flair"), or even the map. I had an EGC 1k all but secured until those 2 reds swooped in with a bodyblock to guard the unhook, then the unhooker bodyblocking the chase. That's skills you don't really see much as a mid-teens killer. Also, they hid the fact that they were skilled until the gates opened. again, not something you see in mid-teens lobbies.
The Matchmaking is making Red Ranks smurf for free. THAT is the issue here.
