That's not a Huntress with no hatchets. That's a Myers with infinite tier 3. Don't forget that this is a 115% killer, you are a 1 down and you are making a lot of noise. That alone is enough to justify her power.

Legion does the same thing, he has infinite EWIII since his power injures survivors so easily. Therefore, is the Legion's power justified because every survivor is injured and they can still loop him? Because he has to tunnel survivors to down them? Because he has to stab multiple times to earn a down? Sure you can say that Plague has only one stab and you're down but she's very easy to see during a loop and she can't jump pallets.

not every loop is a loop u can see over. if you're having problems getting looped, cut corners using strafe keys, throw on enduring and spirit fury (super dangerous on her btw due to applying broken so easily) and learn how to run structures.

    https://youtu.be/t8u0jRxN2kQ

    https://youtu.be/cINxMNYqC3E

Do you know how tall she is? Survivors can see you through most loops and they control (as proven in your video and what I been trying to say to everyone) your Corrupted Purge. This means they can stay injured as long as they want if they are confident in their looping skills and waste your time.

    Look at @HatCreature said

    @HatCreature said:

I can't believe everyone in this thread doesn't understand, Plague Has No Map Pressure.

You're Broken, so what? Yeah the Killer got an instadown IF SHE CATCHES YOU, you Red Rank looper champion. But you got a Gen done because you didn't care about being sick and because you didn't instaheal yourself at a fountain she can't get her upgrade.

She can't infect multiple people for very long at all, infect 3 people at 1 Gen and chase 1 of them, the other 2 find fountains instantly and heal then go back to the Gen while you waste time chasing. Or maybe they don't heal themselves and just do the Gen, ''so what I'm injured, I've faced Legion I know what to do''.

The only real strength she has is if she has Corrupted Purge and is guarding her hook, she'll hurt everyone trying to save with her vomit. Yes there are other scenarios but it's dependent on if Survivors feel like they need to cleanse themselves which they don't need to or want to.

  • With the new buff to Thanatophobia, which I'm so happy about, I fear that some people might get annoyed at how long it will take them to heal themselves if the killer is also using other perks or addons that decrease healing speed, especially with Self Care.

Can you screen shot the perk for me? I don't know how the perk changed

  • @rexydon said:

Take thanathobia, there your reason to heal. I mean... wow really? I have watched streams and videos of the new killer and people are not having the issues you are complaining about. Sooo... get gud?

You're not getting the point, why heal when you can rush generators? Why cure yourself when you can still rush generators while sick and deny the killer her upgrade?

By the way, saying git gud is so childish and isn't bring any constructive feedback.

but you're injured and you stay injured ######### do you guys even think anymore

It's the same thing with Legion, just stay injured and rush generators. Now, the Plague is going to suffer from this as well because survivors will stay injured and rush generators with the benefit of denying her Corrupted Purge.

I know what I'm talking, it's the SAME EXACT thing that's happening with Legion. Do you see it or should use a scenario?

  • Well here's the thing, survivors can rush generators while sick and they don't have ti cure themselves so they also get the benefit of denying her Corrupted Purge.

As I said you are then forcing a choice by making it more tedious, imagine your numbers with the new thana it would be horrendous so your option is basically make her stronger or sit bored on a gen, is that really and option then?

If you choose to do a fountain you make her stronger with a ranged attack that lasts for a few seconds putting not only you but everyone at risk, her power imo shouldn't be seen as a prolonging measure as its actually a way to shorten chases with the one hit down and as such choosing to be weakened has the same effect as she is a 115% chase killer, it should always be a choice not a necessity.

The problem isnt the strategies employed by the players it's the new mechanics being added as they are not as well thought out enough imo, if legion and her suffer something the other killers don't then the question is why? It shouldn't be fixed by adding band aid monotonous gameplay.

That's why I have a compensation category, we can tweak numbers to give survivors more leeway in making their choices. Maybe it doesn't have to be 25% or 50% but maybe a 10% penalty?

  • @Speshul_Kitten said:

Yet you fail to justify the reason behind the action speed penalty. If the broken status effect isn’t good enough for you, then maybe you should go chase someone else and stop requesting buffs so immediately.

I did justify the reason behind the action speed penalty, it's because survivors aren't forced to cure themselves. Now with a speed penalty, you'll tag a survivor and move on to the next. Eventually infected survivors will have to cure themselves because if they don't, generators will take twice as long. Therefore, there is now counter play to a survivor who can loop, just tag them and leave.

  • @Speshul_Kitten said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/352359#Comment_352359

Yes but none of this chase stuff is NEW. Chasing an injured survivor who’s good at looping (while injured from an M2 button), while the others are doing gens is not a reason to penalize a survivor. I feel like your argument is turning into a buff for failing to play strategically as a killer.

That's why I suggested they suffer a 25% or 50% action penalty, not a movement speed penalty or a vault penalty because that would punish the survivor for being tunneled by the killer. Therefore, since the penalty doesn't affect the survivor's chase potential (just their repair, heal, sabo, cleanse, and etc.), the survivor can continue to loop the killer as long as they please. Now, the killer is being punished for going after a single survivor because the killer can now get more value by infecting everyone to force them to cure themselves.

  • https://youtu.be/hz625ce78fo True thinks the plague is weak and for a number of reasons you can find in the video

Hmmm, she's not weak weak but she can be weak if survivors use her weakness.

  • @HatCreature said:

I like your idea Nickenzie, you can vomit on multiple people and force them to go find a fountain and chase someone else. And because of the hidden Auras until fully sick you actually have time to chase someone and have your sickness actually do something. Making them Broken with your sickness is a bonus and getting that CP is just the topping on the cake.

The killer isn't bad at all, but she's trapper tier if survivors know her flaw (what you mentioned above). However, if survivors don't know her flaw, she's like Huntress tier because they don't know her weakness which is to rush generators while sick.

  • @Speshul_Kitten said:

”forced to do a regular M1 chase” nothing new.

also a no skill (in my opinion) quick M2 justifies the”forced” chase.

I understand where you’re coming from saying, “you don’t have to cure yourself if you can just loop after being hooked, but you would also infect your team if you don’t. Leaving you, as a killer, with plenty of room to start a new chase.

A M1 chase is bad for a killer because at that point, you're hoping that the survivor makes a mistake. It's the same reason why Freddy can be looped so easily because he has power to help himself during a chase. Again, that's why some M1 killers use Enduring, Spirit Fury, Brutal Strength, and etc.

Also, I don't know what you're trying to say in this quote, "also a no skill (in my opinion) quick M2 justifies the”forced” chase."

Now about the last part, same thing, you'll have chases that won't be easy to win because you're a M1 killer. During the time you're trying to down the survivor, other survivors are doing generators.

  • @twistedmonkey said:

Personally I think she needs to be played a lot more before looking at any changes.

The problem with increasing times on action and the cure is it then becomes less fun, if you run thana you already have gens running at 26% decrease if they decide not heal, increasing the times on the same objectives we have always down is a cheap way to fix something, it will become tedious fast.

The cure is a fast time so the survivors actually want to use it, increasing that time makes it even less worthwhile, spend 20 seconds getting to the fountain, spend x seconds healing to make the killer stronger when you can stay on a gen and spend around the same time.

Its not the survivors doing anything wrong it's the actual mechanic of the power, the fact thay she becomes stronger makes sense for players not to allow that to happen but you cannot punish players by making something tedious for choosing that option.

My idea basically prevents survivors from rushing generators while sick, it's the same thing that's happening with Legion because you have no reason to heal.

The survivor can either A, suffer a 25% or 50% action penalty when they are fully sick (broken) or they can remove the debuff while getting insta-healed but at the cost of giving the killer her Corrupted Purge.

Like I said, you're very tall and easy to loop. If you can't get hit then the one shot doesn't matter at all. Let's not also forget that your infinite EWIII idea been affecting killers ever since the new meta and survivors will just rush generators instead of curing and healing themselves. Hince why it's called a no heal meta, survivors don't heal and spend the time they could be healing doing generators.

However, I'm not saying the killer is bad, far from it since she definitely has a lot of potential but it can be easily locked away.

  • @artist said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/352307#Comment_352307

free 1 shots on every one because they're "denying my power?" sign me up. btw not every chase is based on whether or not a survivor makes a mistake. the killer influences chases too, as well as the map and area they are in

You're one of the most tallest killers which makes you very easy to loop. If you're very easy to loop, then the one shot doesn't matter because you'll never hit the survivor if they are somewhat aware.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

From what I understand you can spread the sickness to other survivors, so if you never use a fountain to heal then eventually everyone will be sick.

Why should I cure myself? I can still loop you and as a bonus, I keep you from getting Corrupted Purge (which prevents you from downing me with your puke). Therefore, at worst, I'm a 1 hit down but at the same time, you're a Huntress with no hatchets which is super easy to loop. As long as I don't make a mistake, the killer can NEVER down me. Therefore, we need something to punish the survivor for not being good, but for not curing themselves.

  • @Speshul_Kitten said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/352290#Comment_352290

What does that have to do with looping, why should they receive a penalty? Are they not risking being downed in one hit by not healing? Also, If you’re being looped for that long, maybe you should chase someone else or risk the game.

Okay, let's use a scenario to make things simple. You as a killer spawn in, find me, then puke on me until I'm broken but, however, since you don't have Corrupted Purge, you cannot down me with your puke so you're forced to do a regular M1 chase until I make a mistake. Let's say I eventually make a mistake, I get hooked and saved later, I won't cure myself because that would be giving you Corrupted Purge which allows you to down me with your puke so if you every find me again, I'll just loop you again until I make a mistake. Do you see it? Your chase strength is a Trapper without traps because I'm denying you your Corrupted Purge. If ever survivor does the same thing, half of your power is useless because the punishment of being fully infected doesn't force us to cure ourselves. We can still loop you so that's why I'm suggesting that survivors suffer a 25% or 50% action penalty whenever they are fully infected (at the cost of taking longer to fully infect a survivor). This will force survivors to cure themselves because they can't rush generators faster if they don't which will grant your Corrupted Purge.

With this change, a good looping survivor can still destroy you if you're stupid enough to continue that chase. Therefore, you want to infect the survivor, wait for them to cure themselves so they don't suffer the debuff, then you can get your Corrupted Purge.

  • @Speshul_Kitten said:

I’m a bit confused about your “problem” number 1. Are you saying if survivors are good at looping they should receive a penalty just because? The Plague IS able to down survivors with her vomit FYI.

As far as “problem” number 2, I believe the free range hit from the vomit justifies the insta heal from the fountain, so long as it only heals them if they’re infected from it.

You're not understanding number 1, you can't DOWN survivors with Corrupted Purge if they don't cure themselves. The side effects of being fully infected isn't enough to get a survivor to cure themselves because they can get more value from looping you. Being broken doesn't mean anything if you can't get hit and keep in mind that you're a M1 killer until a survivor cures themselves.

Number 2, I agree but I feel like they should have to work for it just a little more by slightly increasing the time it takes to cure yourself.

  • @Bug_Reporter said:

Do you realize that you can puke until they get hurt and then give them an insta down? You can also do that with multiple survivors at once, making hook saves almost a guaranteed downed survivor every time u decide to defend the hook.

Then survivors, especially the good ones, will rush generators because you are camping and as a bonus, they aren't going to become broken directly beside of you. Additionally, whenever a survivor becomes fully infected, most survivors have enough distance to reach another pallet and then they will loop her until she gives up or they make a mistake (which is unlikely).

  • @Bongbingbing said:

I think she's fine it's just the fountains giving a free heal that's the problem.

Don't bother using pallets against her, it's basically a free hit because you're stuck in an animation.

I remembered getting downed by a Wraith and he failed to hook me. This caused me to get the hatch and enjoy my earned escape due to his great attitude.

Yes, I know a few more generators were completed in this situation but if I didn't take that attempt, I wouldn't have escaped.

  • @Orion said:

I think you should leave the Nurse as she is. She's probably the only killer that actually puts the "horror" in this asymmetrical horror game, not to mention requiring the survivors to actually adapt.

She will be relatively the same after this change. You can still dominate a full survivor commando unit with ease after the change because you can still send chases extremely fast. I just wanted to make he like a Spirit where pallets can be a problem if you keep missing your ability.

Here's the thing, we already have the information and some things, not all, you don't need to see to judge such as Corrupted Intervention. It's called making an inference based on context clues and if Corrupted Intervention only blocks generators for X seconds at the start of the trial then it could be a weak perk since it deactivates during the rest of the match. THAT'S ONE OF MY CONCERNS and I have a few more concerns as well, but I could also be wrong with them. I rather be safe and say what I'm concerned about rather than be sorry later that I didn't, ya feel?

Treat this thread as a prediction rather than "Another forum user is assuming before seeing" type of thread.

  • @Blueberry said:

    Maybe an added:

Everytime a gen is completed the farthest gen from you gets blocked for a minute.

That with the initial minute for 3 at the start would make this actually see some play and be viable. Also doesn't leave it as a dead perk after the start.

How about blocking the most progressed generator for 60 seconds upon hooking a survivor?

  • @PigNRun said:

About Solidarity, why make it have an AoE healing speed buff when we already have Leader for that? I find it quite decent as it is now (on paper).

  • @Mister_xD said:

Honestly, the bear traps should have a 5 second period where the survivor cannot attempt to free themselves. After those 5 seconds, the RNG will start at 10% and will increase by 10% for every failed escape attempt.

  • @knell said:

I know you killers aren't a fan of Hexes but wouldn't it be better than a few 30 seconds?

  • It would be cool if the plague can spread to other survivors within a certain range of the infected survivor. Perhaps it could be % based that increases over time the longer you remain in range

Although I like this idea, I would much rather it be 32m around the hook rather than the killer's terror radius so that killers like the Wraith and Pig won't be able to still stealth-tunnel the survivor, which seems to be the new point of this perk.

Also, if not-tunneling is the objective, I would also prefer if the new DS doesn't activate if the killer is in chase with another survivor for at least 10 seconds or so.

...why did they take away the preview button before posting the comment?

@knell I'm okay with the 32 meter activation requirement as long as the perk doesn't tell you that it's activated until after you're downed.

@knell I'll be fine with this if it doesn't tell you that the perk is activated when you're unhooked within a 32m range from the killer. I don't like the idea of a perk protecting you but also telling you if the killer is close as well, ya know?

We need survivors in the game and the spam a button thing is fine right now, no one wants a skill check and in low ranks or against really bad internet using killers, this will kill survivors way to often.

Thank you for catching my mistake, 16 seconds is enough to approximately bring your unhook attempt to par with the current one. I'll edit my OP.

Survivors should not get perks that give free escapes in the first place, let's just be honest but sadly this is how it is currently.

@MhhBurgers I wouldn't mind if it was like BT where if you're unhooked in the killer's terror radius, then the perk will activate.

The Nurse's basekit is fine where it is now. Aim assist, which is what she had, was hot garbage and rarely - if ever - helped anyone.

I also feel that way as well but she doesn't have any counters besides stealth. Once you're found, you're good as dead because good Nurses will make sure you never see the light of day. I even play her from time to time and it's disgusting when I 4k with 5 generators remaining, like I cannot stress how limited the survivors are when they face her. My changes make her like the Spirit in terms of if you're good with their power, you can ignore pallets and cause havac.

I explained this better in my "The Nurse - Rework" thread.

Hello fog travelers! Nurse is a special killer, she's very strong in the right hands but leave the survivors with limited options during the chase.

I do not want to kill her viability because it's amazing when you screw up the entire survivor team but I also want her to worry about pallets just a little bit (like the Spirit if you're bad with her power).

  • @Orion said:

Few viable killers leads to little variety. However, dare to mention buffing weak killers to increase variety and you'll be met with every biased survivor within a light-year. They'd rather nerf the viable killers instead.

I feel like Nurse could use a CD timer for 10 seconds with 110% movement speed. She can also get her auto-aim back since it will help newcomers get the basics down.

Spirit is balanced in my opinion.

Billy needs a few buffs such as maybe some ramps to boost him in the air for some fast mobility.

Etc... Etc... every killer needs a few buffs in my opinion besides Nurse and Spirit.

@Nickenzie When I say K&M has an advantage, I mean 360-wise. You can 360 on console but not as efficiently as PC. They will have better camera movement and they’re not limited to a controller stick.

I’ve seen the juke montages PC players provide and honestly it’s not pretty. I can honestly see why killers get pissed off at that but hey, people are allowed to get mad when trying to have fun but ya gotta remember at the end of the day, it’s just a game.

@PinkEricka Oh, I see where you are coming from, but let's not forget how easy it is to counter a 360, ya know? There are so many things a killer can do to prevent a successful 360 (console killers included) that regardless of how good the 360 is, the killer can still hit you, especially good killers. Therefore, it doesn't matter about how you can perform 360 since console or not, you're likely gonna eat a hit anyways.

If you have any issues or concerns with console and PC crossover then I'll be more than happy to argue with reasoning and justification.

  • @PinkEricka said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/345523#Comment_345523

@Nickenzie XBOX & PS4 should have a crossover but not PC. PC has an advantage i.e mouse and keyboard which is not optimized for DBD on console. It’s possible but you would have to buy an expensive USB to format the mouse and keyboard for the game.

@PinkEricka K&M arguement is NOT valid because most of the game is movement based, not aim based. Yes, a PC Nurse is likely better than a console Nurse but here's the thing, a console Nurse will never go against a PC Nurse in the first place due to how the game is designed. Therefore, there is no opportunities for a PC player to actually go against a console player to gain a advantage which means everyone is at a equal playing field since the rest of the game is movement based.

Overall, it's more about preference, I prefer a controller over a K&M because it's what I'm use to.
