I wonder what could make it so one side has quick queues, and the other one does not... Probably has nothing to do with population or anything like that, that'd be silly.

That's why cross platform capability should be a thing already because queues wouldn't be as bad, ya know?

  • Just playing as Meg, and I know that my wifi is pretty crappy atm since it's connected to so many devices, which causes me to lag alittle bit and gain alittle bit more speed.

A few things: You cannot be banned for bad P2P connection, but there are things you can do to prevent it from happening.

1.) Check your ping in every lobby since sometimes it can be the killer's location to you instead of your WIFI. If the ping is red, dodge and try again for better ping, preferably, green or low yellow ping.

2.) If every lobby is a red ping lobby then you shouldn't be playing the game in general since you are ruining other's experience. Try fixing your connection such as resetting your router or switching your DNS gateway (which in some cases it can improve your connection). Wired connection is also a good method for top-speed connection as well!

  • Noed is OP and can ruin a game because of getting hit once then your facecamped because the gens are done.

Do this: Run Small Game and use a map with "Red Twine" add-on.

This will help you locate totems and prevent NOED. I know, I use to hate NOED but I switched my stance, it's a balanced perk for the most part.

  • I just started playing her and I already get 3 or 4k more consistently, I don't even slug.

Okay, use this and you'll 4k everytime due to your free hooks!

Do This: Equip... Bracelet and Daughter's Ring? (I think that's what it's called)

Ruin, Discordance, Surveillance, and Monitor and Abuse!

Or just leave her as it is and rework additional blink add-ons. :P

@PigNRun I promise that I'm not trying to destroy the Nurse's viability, I even play her on a daily basics and I absolutely love her! However, the reason why I'm changing her is because it upsets me that she doesn't interact with pallets as much as other killers, ya know? I just want her to be like the Spirit where you can ignore pallets if you're good with her power but if you fail the mind game, you might have to deal with a pallet.

    Different reasons:

    1) Survivor has been trying to get into a game for ages because killers keep lobby dodging so he doesn't care about ping anymore.

    2) survivor cares more about ping stability so he thinks rather a game with a stable 250 ping than a "jumpy" 90 ping.

    3) survivor doesn't pay attention to ping because he's playing for too long and just readys up without checking the ping.

    4) survivor doesn't know what that "red / yellow / red bar" even means and readys up anyways.

    etc.

Im option 3, I usually forget and then I regret my life choices when I'm the survivor's version of the Nurse.

  • Maybe as Huntress you threw an hatchet behind a window where you thought there was a survivor, maybe you pretended to have wasted your DS only to have it save you much later in the game, or maybe you just stood still in front of a killer who was expecting a 360, making him miss you..

Not really a mind-game but I'm really happy with this here.

Yes, this is a pretty old clip but I absolutely love this clip. I'm actually terrible at survivor yet I knew that you're immune to grabs while in dying state so I guess this is a mind game ish...

Edit: Holy crap I'm terrible at English today! 😂

  • That's why I love Nurse because I don't have to tunnel or camp. I get to spread the fun around and if they wanna go try hard, I'll bring the try hard Nurse out of me! 😁

I would increase Detective's hunch timer. 15/30/45 instead of 5 would be better, right now, I don't think it is used as much.

@Delfador I think items revealed by Detective's Hunch should be added to your map if you have one (with proper add-ons to track other items as well).

@Master Nothing I can say about crossplay as it isn't something that's planned for the moment. However I did see the Community's opinion on the subject, and the feedback was brought back to the team. :)

Your royal highness, this would be an amazing opportunity to group the community together and as a plus, it adds more variety in ranks (which will also solve queues to an extent).

  • Blood Warden should either notify the killer or show the auras of survivors who are opening the exit gates.

  • Since this topic just came up again, Id like to know what the community thinks about this feature.

This isn't a bad idea to be honest since really there isn't a difference between K&M and controller.

So dribbling got removed now, how about gentapping?

Gen-tapping is very slow, so I think it's fine overall since survivors are sacrificing time to avoid skill checks.

However, regression shouldn't stop when a survivor pokes a generator during a chase. Yeah, sure, you can say they sacrificed distance in the chase but my rebuttal is that you also get punished more than what they get punished. Therefore, there should be at least a 3 second repair requirement to stop regression or have the survivor go through a 3-5 second animation trying to stop the regression.
  • Here's what I'll do whenever I'm aggravated:

-If survivors tbag me, I'll play Nurse for a few games to chill out.
-If a killer camps me, I'll watch YouTube for a good 2 minutes while I get information about the new chapter rumored to come next Tuesday.
-If the two things above keep happening, I'll consider this day as a day for me to take a break from the game.

Instead of faster hook progression, how about seeing the location of the obsession whenever a survivor dies for 3 seconds? This would be immune to Sole Survivor's blocking abilities to help combat the potential stealth the survivor will have late game.

    5/4/3 and I'm hopping on.

We have a deal my fog traveler, I'll update the OP to reflect our agreement! :)
  • Interesting ideas for both perks. I like them. The only thing I'd say is I think 20% faster hook progression is still too low of a penalty for Sole Survivor. You're basically invisible and impossible to track.

Instead of faster hook progression, how about seeing the location of the obsession whenever a survivor dies for 3 seconds? This would be immune to Sole Survivor's blocking abilities to help combat the potential stealth the survivor will have late game.
  • I like them but the 20% faster hook progress is not necessary and is not good for the game. if the killer knows your using one of the perks(by watching the bar under your icon) than its not a bad idea to camp you. So OoO needs a different debuff and when your not the obsession you should get slightly more tokens but have a restricted aura reading range. similar thing with sole survivor but imo it would be fine without a debuff if you reduce the numbers slightly or if you want you could give it a debuff that impacts how they work as a team; gives you a gen repair debuff that gets worse after each survivor death?

    @AChaoticKiller
Thank you for the feedback, I'm not use to receiving this much feedback so again, thank you! :)

Why did I add a hook penalty?
I added a hook penalty because if you're gonna be hard to find, then you should be severely punished for playing so poorly, ya know? However, I wouldn't be opposed to have the penalty for Sole Survivor be something else such as whenever a survivor dies, you're exposed for x/y/z.

I'll think about some alternatives for the risk of using Sole Survivor.

what about the new DS ? Did the new obsession take all the tokems from the strat or stay with what he/she have ?

I made this rework in mind with the new DS. I'll be happy to explain how the new DS will affect my rework!

Basically, let's say you have Object of Obsession but you're NOT the obsession. You ended up using all 3 of your tokens given by the perk, but after a while, you used DS and now you're the obsession! Now, all of your obsession perks that you have equipped been changed to the obsession version! Therefore, the obsession version of Object of Obsession has 9 tokens but you previously used 3 tokens so you'll be at 6 tokens! However, you'll also get the hook penalty so it's not all good, there's still a penalty to becoming the obsession!

Vice versa if you're the obsession and someone else used DS. You'll lose 9 tokens until you're the obsession once again! Therefore, if you had 5 tokens and someone else used DS. You'll lose 9 tokens and you're now stuck with -4 tokens (but the perk will say 0 just to not confuse you).

Perk tiers can affect how much tokens you'll have.

Late one what if you are the obsession use no tokens then lose obsession and after a will you use your DS in order to be the obsession again ?

Well, here's how that will work, it's not complicated!

    Formula:
    3 (You're NOT the obsession) or 9 (You're the obsession) - 0 to 9 (tokens used) = tokens remaining.

If at one point you used DS, use the formula again to see how many tokens you have.

    ____________________________________________

    Example:
You used 2 tokens, someone used DS, you used a token, then you used DS.

9 tokens from the obsession version of Object of Obsession. You used 2 tokens so you're left with 7 tokens! Now someone used DS and took your obsession status.

    3 (You're NOT the obsession) - 2 (tokens used) = 1 tokens remaining.

You ended up using your final token so now you're left with 0 tokens! However, you used DS so you gained back your obsession status!

    9 (You're the obsession) - 3 (tokens used) = 6 tokens remaining.

    Now you're left with 6 tokens! :)

all right killers. whenever you camp (stand in front of a survivor while on a hook) it proves to me your straight ass at this game that the only way you can win is to puppy guard which alot of you do. its not cool it doesnt make the game fun and honestly there should definetly be consequences for it cause thats not how you play the game.

No one cares if you are having fun. Losing in chess isn't fun and we don't change the rules to make up for one being subpar. You have no entitlement to a 15 second rescue and downtime after a minute long chase.

Losing can be fun, I play a lot if Chess and I love to see where I messed up at. However, losing and getting out right destroyed are two separate things in my opinion. You can't learn a lot from something if you can't even play the game, ya know? Nevertheless, I wouldn't be opposed to certain things that encourages the killer to spread the damage.

For instance, injured survivors could have a 10% repair speed decrease or when secondary objectives hit Dead by Daylight, have survivors move slower when not in the killer's terror radius (increasing travel time).

  • LOL, here we go with this speculation that everybody gets wrong until PTB day. Everyone swore up and down it was Kuchisake-Onna or whatever it was. My general feeling is that original killers are pointless to speculate about, because it literally could be anything. Licensed is a lot easier, but since the devs promised another original killer this year, then all this speculation is for nothing.

So we shouldn't speculate for fun? See how close we get?
  • Holy moly, this is really good! :)
  • @HavelmomDaS1

Here's what I'll do as BHVR, it's really simple. I'll first focus on console version of Dead by Daylight and get them very optimized for cross platform capability. Once everyone is on the same level, I'll now add two queues with one being for solos and the other being for SWF.

    SOLOS

Basically, it like our normal game mode but only solo survivors can join, no SWF.

    SWF

This would be a 5 versus 5 game mode where 1 member of each team will be voted to be their team killer. Once the game starts, there will be 7 generators for each team with only needing to complete 5 to power on the exit gates. There will also be 5 of each totem for every team as well but everything else is shared between the two teams.

Your killer will go after the other team's survivors and vice versa. Your killer cannot interact with the other team's killer and survivors on your team cannot interact with the other survivor's belongings (generators, totems)

This would be perfect because with cross platform capability, queues will remain the same and if not, improve! :)

You're wrong, mori is way stronger than a insta-heal. Moris will remove a survivor from the game while an insta-heal buys the survivor more time basically.

Nope, you're wrong. :p What a lot of people forget: Insta-heals delay the moment when a survivor could get mori'd in the first place. Take a good team with some insta-heals and the match is over before you get to see a mori.

    @Nickenzie said:
Now, OP add-ons? I'll list a few builds for you.
    -Omega Blink Nurse
    -5 Blink Nurse
-Any type of slugging build (even through slugging doesn't bother me)
-Spirit's prayer beads necklace (free grabs)
    -Billy's insta-saw
-Pig's deadly RBT combo (depends on RNG)
-Myers Mori add-ons (depends if your teammates feed too much)

A very good Nurse player won't use 5 Blinks anyway. Speed + range makes more sense and these are the add-ons which are super strong on Nurse and yeah, kind of OP. But a very good Nurse is OP anyway, you can only counter her with stealth.

    I agree on Prayer Beads.

Slugging, Pig's RBTs, Myers' Tombstone add-ons? These are in no way OP. Sorry, but if the survivors lose, then because they played bad.

Here's the thing about killers, they are the POWER ROLE. A survivor cannot duel a killer alone, (s)he needs teamwork to be able to overwhelm the killer. Therefore, if the killer is decent, the chase won't last for more than 90 seconds with an insta-heal. Once the survivor is down, they are dead with or without a mori. Don't you see it? If a killer wants you dead, you're dead, period. That's why you see so many survivors complaining about camping and tunneling because once the killer finds you, that can be your "GG".

I agree with your other stuff about the killer's add-ons. However, about the other stuff you disagreed with I'll have to say you're right to an extent but it depends. Pig's deadly RBT combo leaves the survivor with potentially 70 seconds to travel to every box and big maps can make things even worse (it is RNG). Slugging can be very nasty with some killers like Nurse, Billy, or Spirit. Myers it depends on your teammates because eventually he will stalk you out just like your teammates. However, I would consider his tombstone add-ons as OP like Pig's deadly RBT combo.

I can discuss this more if you want!
  • If I see 4 clones, especially camo Claudettes, more than 3 flashlights or toolboxes I don't dodge but I take this:

Billy time, carb tuning + shop lube, bbq, bitter murmur + sloppy b + MYC. Ebony mori.

Props to you, I wish more people were like you who take the challenge.

  • Lobby dodging over a survivor's item is so childish. Why should I have to follow your imaginary Dead by Daylight rules just so I can play survivors? Why shouldn't I, the survivor, use items? It's almost like survivors are trying to survive and not gonna make themselves an easy target.

This also applies to survivors, survivors who DC over the killer's add-ons and offerings is also childish. Seriously, y'all need to grow up and understand that not every game is gonna be an easy one. :rage:

@Nickenzie maps are awesome but I don’t bring items much

Use the add-on, Red Twine, with your rare Map then walk around the map. If you get in a specific range of a totem, the map will download its location and show you its aura at any time upon activation. You'll know when the map has found something when you get 150 bloodpoints for "Map Scout".
  • TreemanXD said:

@Nickenzie if you run small game then finding them is easy and you don’t spend much time of off gens. Great for solo

Small Game is great but I prefer using my maps to find all of the totems. Maps are tricky to understand but once you know how they work... You'll be surprised why there isn't any killer threads complaining about how OP the map is. Like I can't stress how good a map is with the correct add-ons, you're basically a SWF group because you know where everything is at.

However, even if you know where all 5 totems are at. You're basically adding an additional generator to the game and that's if you know where every totem is at. Sometimes, No One Escapes Death can act like two additional generators against solo survivor if they don't know where all the totems are at, it's ridiculous.

In conclusion, I don't feel like No One Escapes Death needs a nerf. It just needs a rework to make it balanced for solo survivors.

Killers: "Do generators to punish camping"
Survivors gen-rush the killer to punish camping
    No One Escapes Death activates
    Killers: "Do totems as well"

    ____________________________________________

Jokes aside, No One Escapes Death is too harsh on solo survivors. It's a bit too much in my opinion to punish survivors who don't have a viable way to take out all of the totems. Instead the perk just needs a rework to make it less of a solo survivors punisher but more of a boost to your mid game.

    No One Escapes Death

Progress infuriates you beyond belief which causes you to release your true potential. Whenever a generator is completed, receive a token to boost you lethality towards survivors who attempt their escape. If you have a token, receive a 5%/10%/15% haste effect and a 20% attack cool decrease, but performing a successful offensive action will consume a token.
  • @Nickenzie said:
Couldn't the same be said for Moris and OP killer add-ons?

Insta-heals are stronger than moris. And which killer add-ons do you consider OP?

Btw, I'm a survivor main. I know my unbalanced stuff pretty well and I know when my killer had a chance and when not. :)

You're wrong, mori is way stronger than a insta-heal. Moris will remove a survivor from the game while an insta-heal buys the survivor more time basically. After all, insta-heal or not, if a killer wants you dead then you're dead, period.

Again, I understand that sometimes you'll get destroyed but then again, not every game will be how you want it to be. SWF? So what, just try your best and take it as an opportunity to learn. If you play this game competitively and let 4 escapes get you down, then you're aren't enjoying this game to its fullest, ya know?

I don't like to be dodged just because you'd rather ignore the reality that bringing in items makes killers dodge, regardless of them being justified in doing so or not. I like that you're speaking to me as if I'm the one dodging when playing killer, even though I don't dodge because of items when I play killer and was speaking from a survivor PoV.

Any killer in general who dodges over an item is just a bad sport, scratch that, a very bad sport, this also applies to survivors who DC over the killer's stuff as well, not just killers. It's like playing a ball game but you're getting upset over the other team because they are using their best pitcher. That's how dodging is, you're basically can't take the challenge and get yourself dirty.

Additionally, I wasn't just speaking to you, I was speaking to everyone to make my point clear, namely, dodging a survivor's item is childish. This is why I don't feel as bad for some killers when they get survivors who DC over their stuff because they also dodged survivors who wanted to use their stuff as well. Honestly, DCing is almost as bad as lobby dodging and the only thing that keeps me from advocating dodging penalties is because there are times where you have to dodge (family stuff, high ping, life, etc).

Some survivor items and add-ons are super unbalanced. They are in the game, so the survivors are allowed to bring them. But it's also totally fine if a killer chooses to not play against certain items as long as these things don't get reworked.

Couldn't the same be said for Moris and OP killer add-ons? Survivors deal with the same stuff as well so it's not just the killers who deal with this issue. Yes, I understand where you are coming from about harsh matches too but not everything is gonna be a cake walk for you killers either, you'll have to get your hands dirty eventually (just like survivors as well). Furthermore, OP survivor items isn't always an excuse, sometimes it was actually your fault for losing a match which leads to my second point. You got to have a growth mindset, not a fixed mindset or else you'll never improve as a killer. To visualize this, dodging gives you a 0% chance to improve while at least attempting will show you your mistakes which can be used later to improve. Therefore, the next time you see a SWF, try your best and don't worry so much about losing. Then after the trial, self reflect on how you did and I'll promise you that killer games will be a lot more easier! :)
