Never play killer drunk, i learned that lesson
Playing a Killer drunk is like actually being in a horror movie where you have 4 psychopaths running up to you and blinding you with flash lights over and over again while dropping pallets on you and butt dancing to your agony. It's very surreal. I would definitely suggest it to everyone to try it at least once.

@DeadByFreddy said:
If a killer uses a bot and you report them for exploits is it acted upon? vac bans? what happens?
I don't even see how you could tell if a killer is using a bot. I've seen drunk people playing killer and they're horrible, of course. Unless the killer told you he used a bot?
-
I had a game against an SWF in which 4 gens were done before I got a hook and I still 4ked. I've played a lot of games where I didn't get a hook until after 3 gens were done and have 4ked. You have to expect the 1st gen to get done before you get a hook. It's pretty common. If the 1st gen isn't done by the 1st hook, as killer, you have probably just got a 4k.
-
What killers don't realize is that DS is used a lot of times to help survivors against other survivors, who are determined to farm them

Thanatophobia (Literally the only perk you need with Plague)

Survivors abusing pallets and palet stuns is getting on my nerves. I just had a match with a 4-stack swf, who abused flashlights and stuns. I am a killer main and I just don't know if I should continue playing when devs give survivors OP stuff like flashlights and pallets everywhere. People are abusing pallets and gen rushing.
And when I down a survivor. Its impossible to reach a hook. They sabo one hook and the dead survivor wiggle out before I reach the second one. Wiggle timer is too short you have to use Iron Grasp just to be able to hook people.
Im chasing a survivor through dozen pallets and a dozen flashlight blinds. Other 3 finishes the gens in 2 minutes. I grab the downed survivor, they sabo hook take hits and bam 4 man going out to write 'gg ez'.
And they cry about camp&tunnel, of course im going to secure my kill its a valid strategy. How else am i supposed to get kills in this game.
Maps are designed for survivors and gen rushing tools they have are insane. And they speak about buffing solo survivors instead of nerfing SWFs. I don't get why BHVR is so survivor sided.
Seriously survivors crying when they have so many strong tools to their side is just pathetic. Im sorry but BHVR made this game for survivor to escape. Not for killers to have any fun in the game.
This happens so rarely that it's not even worth crying about.
If you see 2 survivors with a flashlight -> Lightborn
Trouble with Pallets -> Brutal Strength, Spirit Fury, Enduring
***I don't even see how you could have continual problems with Sabo. That should be an instant win for you because you have to be against a Sabo team for that to work. The current Sabo is actually weaker than when you could 99% hooks.
-
- Deathslinger and Monitor and Abuse (I honestly think Deathslinger's terror radius needs to be increased because this is probably the strongest combo in the game)
- Pyramid Head and Blood Hound and Sloppy Butcher (Pyramid Head already counters all tunneling perks, this just lets you tunnel even harder)
- Freddy and BBQ and Chili, Brutal Strength, Pop Goes the Weasel and Over Charge (No one will ever get their gens done and just to really screw with people add the slow down perks)
- Hag and Aggitation and Iron Grasp (Basement Hag is oppressive)
- Plague - Thanatophobia (Survivors are almost always injured against Plague. This is literally peanut butter and jelly, there's no reason not to ever run this perk with Plague.)
- Spirit - Thrill of the Hunt (This perk alone lets you know where survivors are, you can add other perks just to make it worse).
-
Here's a secret.
Of course it's going to look like survivors are more toxic, every single time. You have 4 of them and they are going to chat between themselves at the end of the match. Who is the killer going to talk to.
- You have a high probability of seeing a toxic person in the survivor group because there are 4 of them. That's 4 times the chance of having a toxic person, every single match.
- The 4 survivors are obviously going to be more likely to chat among themselves because they're a group and will back each other up most times.
- The killer obviously isn't going to say much because he doesn't have anyone to back him up.
- The killer's toxicity is more subtle such as tunneling. You can't tell if a killer is tunneling to be toxic or tunneling as a strategy.
-
Pyramid Head isn't strong.
The problem with Pyramid Head is the cages allow Pyramid Head to abuse tunneling. (The cages counter all the anti-tunneling perks that survivors have). As a survivor, you can't do anything if Pyramid Head strategy is to tunnel a survivor to death. And if you add killer tunneling perks, such as Blood Hound and Make a Choice, the game is over.
-
Gen speeds aren't to fast because every killer gets more than 2 kills, on average per match. (According to the last data we got from the Devs in November).
-
- Playing killer and survivor. I think it depends on if survivors are doing secondary objectives or are really bad. I have games as killer where gens are all done before I can finish my first chase. Other times, no gen will be done after I've been looped for 2 or 3 minutes. Matchmaking and secondary objectives really screw around with gen times.
- Lithe is inconsistent and really needs other perks to work well. Balanced Landing is a little less inconsistent because some maps just don't have many drops. Dead Hard is more consistent except for instant downs and lag. Sprint Burst is always consistent, you just have to learn to walk more which is annoying.
- Wraith is easy to rank up. Michael Myers is hard.
- Removing Chests is actually pretty powerful @TheMythicalCat , so it making hooks slightly closer together. If you see a team without items, I always run the remove chests perk and the hooks being closer together reduces the time it takes to find a hook. The problem with that perk is you don't get it often enough to use it. The killer mist offers should be removed and forcing survivors apart should be a common add on. Good survivor perks are thickening the mist, bloodpoint bonuses and adding chest. I can't tell a different in hooks when I use the oak branch. Neither can I tell a difference in starting as far away from the killer, the killer always comes to me first when I play that perk. The starting everyone together is usually bad also, because the killer will find everyone.
- I think the Lery's redux was awesome. I'd love to see that done to "The Game" which has no atmosphere at all, it really needs some fog. The Pyramid Head map is another beautifully done map. I'd love to see all the map levels get redone. The fog, creepy random sounds and random moving stuff (Like lockers randomly opening in Pyramid Head's map) need to be added to all maps. Maybe no Haddenfield, it kind of needs to stay as is to be true to the movie.

They ARE extremely common. I don't know why the devs claim they're not, just keep track of your matches as killer and count how many were 4-man friend groups. It's far higher than 5% or whatever they claimed.
That said, there's not much you can do. Optimal survivor play destroys optimal killer play, that's just how it is. Is every 4-man this way? No, some friend groups are potatoes. But they still have a massive communication advantage in a game that's built around limited information.
Meanwhile, everyone still insists that a reasonable FoV or sounds that work right for killers would be insaaaaaaaane because it's too much information.
Why would the Devs lie about the percentage of 4-Man SWFs? That makes no sense. If the Devs didn't want to give you information, they wouldn't give you information. (The Devs already don't give us hardly information to begin with). However, there's no reason to just flat out lie to everyone, especial when people could literally count their matches and call them out on the lie. That would require PR damage management at that point.

Just because the survivors are really good and work 4 different gens from the get-go doesn't mean every survivor group does. You can't balance the game against the SWF-Seal Team 6. Killers already get more than 2 kills on average, according to the last time stats were release by Devs in November, so if anything, gen speeds need to be increased not decreased.

He should also be 110%. You don't see Pyramid Head sprinting around ever.
I have to agree. This will basically reduce the number of hooks a survivor will have which is going to be a massive problem for game balance. 1st you have moris on 2nd hook and 2nd you have to hit skill checks or you die in second struggle phase. This is a stupid idea and will need to be nerfed, I don't see how this got out of development.
Judging by the perks, I have to say that this will be the first chapter I won't buy. I don't want these crappy perks littering my bloodweb.

This. Do gens, let the killer get a one hook one kill depip and move on
It's very unfair to say this because the survivor on the hook will suicide half the time, which ruins the game for the other 3 survivors. You can't really blame the survivor for suiciding so he can get to the next game. The other problem is survivors will usually come to the hook and see if the survivor needs rescuing and will waste a little time waiting for the killer to leave, so they have that much less time to do gens. If all 3 survivors check up on the hooked survivor, then most likely you won't be able to gen rush before the killer gets another survivor.
Plus, there was a very famous red rank killer that was getting 4ks by camping with NOED, the entire day. So, saying "Do Gens" actually isn't a valid strategy. There's no strategy that survivors can use to counter a camping killer unless they all are using specific perks to counter that game play, which normally wouldn't be used and pretty much require your team to know a killer is going to camp.

No, they are all public domain, except for Swamp Thing which is owned by DC.
Now the interesting thing is, if the Devs went with Bela Lugosi's Dracula, then DBD would need to get the license from the Lugosi family, to use his likeness. But it's because the actor's image is not public domain, Dracula is public domain. Same for wolfman, mummy, creature from the black lagoon.

If 3 survivors can escape, it means they've done 4 gens. At that point, they'll probably finish the 5th gen and escape anyway. It's not the big of a deal at that point and it rarely happens anyway. Killers have moris, survivors have keys. At least survivors don't have iridescent heads.

Many people think that the next killer is pinhead, mainly because of Cote's tweet last night. I however think that because of that tweet, pinhead is completely ruled out
Think of it like this, in the past year and a half (or more but Ive only been playing that long) killer identities have consistently been leaked early. This time though, there has been zero definitive leaks. Whether its because they are all at home or because they figured out who was leaking, is irrelevant. There were zero leaks.
Why, would Cote intentionally spill the beans with basically an x marks the spot tweet, removing all hype and anticipation, the night before the big reveal?
You can argue that the tweet wasn't that easy to figure out, but i disagree. Look at the easter eggs and location of the golden toolbox in demogorgons map. They made it incredibly difficult to find knowing that the community is smart and prone to put clues together.
Say what you will about Cote as a developer but I honestly beleive he sent that tweet just to mess with us.
In a way, I agree with you. They've done so many red herrings that I think the killer has to be the one that isn't getting talked about. We've seen red herrings with Candyman, Alien and Pinhead. The "BIG" killers that haven't been hinted about by Behavior Devs are Jason, IT and Chucky. (I think there were some Behavior hints at IT also). Between Jason and Chucky, it's most likely Jason because of size considerations. With Chucky, all you would see as the killer would be grass, which would be totally awful to play as Chucky (Image being shorter than Pig level all match).
There have been absolutely no red herrings pointing to Jason. Which is really making me think it's Jason at this point.

I think mostly because of Paulie Esther, they literally said they were going to start putting out distractions for all the conspiracy theorists. Red herrings, if you will.
What's the point of the Devs giving out clues if they give out clues for every killer. Horror movies have always been a game of deduction, where the director and writer give out clues to the identity of the killer. Look at the movie, The Thing by John Carpenter, it had clues throughout the movie that would let you figure out who the thing was and wasn't. The clues were subtle, but they were there. That's why players in DBD gets into trying to figure out the clues for the next killer, because they're horror fans at heart and horror fans like intelligent, well put together mysteries. If you throw fake clues everywhere, it's no longer fun for the player base because you're taking the "lame" way out. You're not intelligently placing subtle clues, you're just vomiting up red herrings everywhere and ruining the game for everyone.

They're already losing BP by camping as long as you don't all run face first into them.
You know, I thought the same thing but I started watching a Streamer that plays Bubba with Insidious and just camps every survivor hooked until they die. Any survivors that come to save the survivor gets slugged. He's getting 4ks and plenty of bloodpoints. And wasn't there another really big streamer that played an entire day of camping with NOED and was continually getting 4ks just recently.

We've talked about this in the past, but we aren't planning on punishing camping since there are times when it's the right move. If the survivors are being aggressive with saves, leaving the hook is the wrong move. It wouldn't make sense to punish the killer for playing smart.
Honestly, what should happen is the Killer starts steadily losing BPs while they are in close proximity to a hook survivor for longer that XX seconds. It doesn't punish a killer that is stopping altruistic survivors because the killer is getting BP's for downing the altruistic survivors. However, if the killer is just sits in front of a survivor all match, then they don't get BP's because the BPs got drained away camping.

I have been hearing a LOT of talk lately from people saying that Nurse is trash now. While I think the people who are saying she "has no counterplay" are wrong, she is clearly still strong.
+Best chases in the game
+High skill ceiling
+Great perk synergies to get back in chases and keep pressure
-Glitches that NEED to be fixed
-Limited map control due to the blink recharge
There are some killers that can approach her chase potential, such as Billy, Spirit, and Oni. The problem is that they rely on RNG a bit, because they have to deal with pallets and vaults, whereas Nurse always has the chance to make a read and get the down. Once you play her enough, you will get frustrated trying to play other killers. No other killer compares.
I think the problem with Nurse right now is that no one can really learn her. Before you had perks that acted like training wheels for new Nurse players. Now, you have nothing that will help you learn Nurse. So really, only old Nurse players will ever play her, everyone else will avoid her. At some point, she'll never see play. Her skill ceiling is to high for anyone to learn at this point.

A lot of players have been arguing with me about this in post-game so I thought I'd do a little numbers break down for those that need reminding. I see many complaints about the speed at which generators are finished, but I also see an over-reliance on a measurably more inefficient method for finishing multiple generators. If the speed of the game and the problems that may surround it are to be understood by both the players and the developers, it's important to understand how the numbers break down.
Stacking up on generators imposes a 15% efficiency reduction to each Survivor for every Survivor that's currently working on a generator. With 2 Survivors on one generator, that's a total 30% reduction to repair speed, which equates to an additional 7.06 seconds per generator. 2 Survivors doing 2 separate generators simultaneously will finish both in 80 seconds flat. Alternatively, 2 Survivors doing 2 generators consecutively together will finish the 1st generator after 47.06 seconds, and the 2nd after 94.12 seconds (ignoring travel time).
If 2 Survivors do all 5 generators together, they take a total 235.3 seconds in repairs alone. By doing the first 4 separately and combining on the 5th, they take 207.06 seconds. 28.24 seconds or more are being wasted on repairs alone by not spreading out and applying pressure to multiple generators at once. In addition to this, the Killer's job has been made easier as they can now apply pressure to more than one Survivor simultaneously. You should only be stacking on a generator when it's important to finish that particular generator as fast as possible (deny a 3-gen, imminent PGTW, final generator, etc.)
There are VERY important facts you are missing. A completed generator doesn't lose regression from Hex:Ruin, Pop Goes the Weasel and just generally Getting kicked by a Killer. So you need to include the calculations for 2,3 and 4 survivors working on a gen and completing verses is it better than 2,3 and 4 survivors working on 2, 3 and 4 different gens and getting those gens kicked or Hex:Ruined. Also, getting middle gens are much more important which the killer can get to much quicker, so you need 2 or 3 survivors completing those strategic middle gens earlier in the game so you don't get 3 gened. 1 person usually can't get a middle gen by themselves unless the killer gets looped really badly.

I disagree with this completely. No matter who someone play's they should always have the chance for a 4k, and if the only way too do that as Legion or bubba is too stay at rank 10 then that's a major problem. Also the argument of "you should have too sweat your balls off to get 2 kills" is incredibly weak and flawed. Why should I try my best for mediocre results no matter who I play or what skills I have? by your argument killers will never win and turn them off from playing the game. The game isn't designed for 2 kills/2 escapes, that's just not the case.
The game should let all players have a chance at a 4k at any rank regardless of who they play because only playing Nurse, Spirit, or billy gets incredibly boring after a while. And some people like me don't even enjoy playing these killers, so your argument screws those players over.
When I say 2 kills/2 escapes, I mean on average. Some games you'll get 4k and some games you'll get 0k. However, I think have weaker killers and stronger killers makes the game more interesting. A killer with an extremely high skill cap, such as Nurse and Billy, should absolutely destroy high level survivors when played by a great player. A killer with an extremely low skill cap, such as Freddy, should not be absolutely destroying high level survivors (which he does and is not really fair and I say that being a Freddy player). Those killers should still be able to get 2 kills/2 escapes on average per game but just at lower ranks. Not everyone wants to play Nurse all the time because she's hard and not everyone wants to play against Nurses all the time. We need less complicated killers as break for both survivor players and killer players.
***This of course heavily relies on match making to work correctly and the Emblem system does not work correctly.

Dude, this also contains selfkills like "I hate freddy" or "Spirit=DC". This is just a mashup of a lot of data. If you were able to select representative games, these numbers would totally differ. And there is nothing representative on killer data, when the ranks don't reflect skills, because survivors get easier pips than killer. Would you gather "representative" soccer data from matches within the same division to make a conclusion about the strength of a team or include friendly games against regional division teams? As I said, it has a reason why BHVR decided to avoid releasing this data in the future...
Self Kills are still kills. If survivors DC or self-kill, they self-killed because they were losing. They definitely didn't self-kill or DC because they were winning the match. Self-kills and DC should definitely be including in the data because you want to look at the game as a whole. If we really want to be honest, self-kills and DCs might should be counted more than a regular kill because it shows the survivor felt the game was totally hopeless.

No, I want too play weak killers without having too sweat my balls off too try and get 2 kills at high ranks. Every game always starts with a gen being done and the killer getting a hook, that's a horrible trade and since these gen nerfs were suppose too stop this, it clearly isn't working. Gens need harder nerfs IMO, call it what you want but there's a problem and I want too talk about it.
Actually, you should have to sweat your balls off to get 2 kills at high ranks. That's exactly how the game is designed, 2 kills/2 escapes. In all honesty, weak killers shouldn't be getting 2 kills/2 escapes at high ranks because they are weak. Not every killer is Nurse/Billy and shouldn't be Nurse. Some Killers are easier but should be skilled capped at certain levels because they are easy.

From my experience, i don't see why so many people complaining about dead zone. I didn't see any in my 15 matches as killer in red rank.
I say this because most of the time i only get down when they're looping, not some empty space (Unless survivors used all pallets in that area)
To be honest.. i don't feel any change made in this patch. Map size, tile distance, gen speed, etc.. nothing except god loop
Since switching to killer maining from killer/survivor, since this patch is so killer sided, yes there are a lot of dead zones and there definitely has to be less pallets. I've never had it so easy as killer honestly. What's makes it worse for survivors is that the center gens are almost impossible to do anymore because those gens use to have very safe loops. So now, as killer, all I have to do is keep pressure in the middle of the map and I'm pretty much guaranteed a 3 gen strat, if not 4.
My suggestion to survivors is rush the center gen. If you don't get that gen done, you are screwed.

I can’t bully the killer and be the power role anymore. I actually have to be afraid of the killer now.
Reeeeeeeee
Survivors in a nutshell....
Until tomorrows archive challenges are released 🤣
This is honestly a Killer nerf. It's going to increase queue times and the only survivors that will be playing are the crazy good survivors, so it's going to be much harder killing them.
