Yeah it was probably a random DC, not intentional. I just found it nice that you can now talk without the killer around. I feel like mice playing while the cat is away.

Don't you know holding your power button or standing still is a mind game? Big mind games.
Sorry but standing still is a Mind Game for Spirit. That's how her power and design works.
It's like how Doctor can find you just by standing still doing nothing but twiddling his thumbs.
-
Camping is nasty in this game, but not much to be done about it except learn to avoid the killer and learn to loop him well or juke him if he does find you.
But it's crazy that it takes you 15 minutes to find a game as Survivor. You playing on PS4 or something?
-
Personally I think IS is in a good place. Just surprised at the sudden surge of Iron Maidens I'm seeing today. 2 Huntreses, 1 Legion and one Clown ran it.
-
Just so you know I've finished that task and it's 3 in one match, doesn't even have to be a basement chest. Used a coin so I finished it without even needing to open the basement chest. (I opened it anyway to get lootz).
There's a separate one that is 5 chests total throughout any number of matches.
-
Yeah newb survivors don't get that ragging on your teammates doesn't get you anywhere and just tanks the game for everyone.
-
Haven't run into a spirit at all today so I'll keep this in mind when I run into one.
-
My real issue is that I have to play a lot of killer to do all the killer challenges. But at 10 minutes wait time just to get a lobby, that ain't happening.
The challenges aren't particularly hard, but the 10 minute wait is. Before I sometimes would line up for killer just to do some killer dailies, if like I was making a cup of coffee or a sandwich and I could leave it queing while I was preparing a snack. But to complete all the killer challenges I probably need to play around 20 killer matches at least. That's 200 minutes of my day wasted. That's 13% of my day gone twiddling my thumbs. Not happening.
-
Do it in 3 matches I guess.
Which task is this I haven't seen it.
-
GTX 1050M is more than enough to run the game.
To run it well is another matter, but running it at low settings should be okay with that card. That card is significantly better than what I'm using and I can run the game averaging 60fps on most maps (not all maps). Using a GT755m SLI btw but running on low at 75% resolution.
But I do get dips in many places depending on the action and what's happening, and some maps are just bad and have terrible framerates.
The Surface Pro is a No. This is not going to run on that no matter what you do.
-
Haven't seen much trapper today. Saw a lot of Nurses for some reason. But mostly newb ones that you could dodge around and didn't have Ruin.
-
Just came from Badham. It was same as usual.
Might be a PS4 thing? On PC it's the same brightness level. At least on Low Settings.
-
The engine updated also did something to Freddy Dreamworld. It's darker than it used to be.
Haven't been to Badham yet, now I'm curious to see what it looks like. Maybe I'll burn an offering.
-
Not just perks! The maps also reveal them as orange.
I don't know about the hooks but I am thinking killer vision sees the pumpkin hooks in orange.

Yes, you'll unlock everything up to the tier you're currently at.
There's literally no reason not to wait, other than getting the rewards now instead of in 70 days.
Ah that's good. So I can decide to plunk down the cash later if I ever manage to unlock everything. I think this is a good thing.
-
Looks like I'll need to play around with it then. It's a shame we have to be subjected to all manner of bugs like this every patch.
-
Is normal for me. Didn't notice a change.
-
Don't worry I'm not that evil. :P
The extra BP is nice but I stopped needing or caring about BP a long time ago, so no biggie. Survivors have it easy after all, no need to grind out each killer.
BTW question: if I should decide to give BHVR some money and buy the Battle Pass later on after I complete the Rift challenges do I retroactively get everything unlocked so far from my Rift Level?
-
Not sure what you're trying to say, but what I got from your post is that you are saying Killers are weaker than survivors and that the game is survivor-sided.
Typical killer propaganda.
Sorry, but this is just not true. It's proven at all levels that killers are at least competitive with survivors. Actual stats show that killers are stronger than survivors from Rank 1 to 20. Actual killer streamers and videos show that Killers are more than capable of competing with Survivors at Rank 1, and even against SWF groups. If you have the skill, you can compete on even-footing with any survivor group.
This is a fact.
Same goes the other way around. If you have the skill a survivor group (even solo) can compete with high rank killers, whether they are Nurse, Spirit or Billy.
Killers are not weaker than Survivors and can't "only win if survivors make mistakes." Get that rubbish ideology out of your head before it corrupts you and turns you into a Victim Complex Killer (a Killer who only feels sorry for himself and thinks BHVR is against him and he can't win because BHVR made the game survivor-favored).
-
Ah, so I guess there's no pressure for me to do pumpkin gens then. And I shouldn't feel bad about saboing Pustule Hooks!
-
LOL of course! You have to CLAIM the challenge. Silly me. :P
Thanks for pointing it out.

This is currently the hardest challenge by and of course it's a Killer challange
Mori them all
Survivors have it far easier. I mean adapt for Killers is already much much harder. So why do we need to kill all 4? BHVR you know how people hate ebony moris. Sigh.... Welp, I guess I need to try to mori them all. Sorry survivors.
Bull*$%*
Mori them all is easy. Happens all the time, as long as the survivors don't DC (which is the real challenge).
You know what's really impossible? Repair 4 generators in one trial.
That ain't happening without a complicit killer and complicit SWF team.
-
Ah I see I get it now. The challenge has to be activated!
My next question:
- I finished the first survivor challenge (repair 2 gens). Now I want to select my next rift challenge but the only one I can do is the killer one (hook 8 times). So there is no way to actually progress down the track of your own volition, the Tome only highlights what it wants you to do?
-
Killers do have their own way. What way exactly are you saying I am against?
And to be honest, killers get to dictate the game more than survivors do. Survivors generally have to react to what the killer does.
Even "weak" killers like Plague get to do this. Killer decides to go Plague? All of a sudden Survivors have to play a different way, because her power denies a certain branch of game mechanics altogether.
Killer selection alone forces survivors to play in different ways. And speaking of selection, the pre-game lobby gives killers the opportunity to plan and prep ahead of time. Much of what the killer does in the lobby will dictate how the game will play out.
So it's not a case of "only for me not for you." Killers already have a lot to say and control in how the game gets to play.

But once spirit gets nerfed I’m gonna lose all hope. I really hate the way that if a killer isn’t trash enough they need to be “looked at for overperforming”. I was holding my breath on the nurse changes and surprise, just another kick in the nads to give survivors more time to plan their tea bag exit strategy when the gates are already open😔
Just play survivor if it bothers you so much, and see how easy it is to beat Spirit.
-
Oh! So it was counting all the XP I gained from when the rift was supposed to be released but got delayed? I get it.
-
The pink syringe was a big nerf. The purple anti-styptic, more of a sidegrade.
All in all the nerf doesn't bother me because I don't really use these stuff. I still have maybe fifty of them stockpiled on my survivors. I will use them someday... or not.

It really should have been removed everytime there is an event with special hooks.
That I agree with. Why is it a thing, you know there'll be jackasses that will just want to grief the killer and bust the hook.
-
It's a sidegrade. You get a perk slot back but in return survivors can use Spine Chill against you. It's a fair tradeoff. And not everyone runs Spine Chill so there's that.

Honestly thought Franklin's was a bad counter anyway. Literally just drop your tool somewhere and pick it up when you're exiting. At least Franklin's is still good for something, Hitting everyone and immediately disconnecting.
Have you ever played survivor for a good amount of time and gone up against a killer using Franklin's?
Believe me, Franklins is a great counter. It is one of the most annoying perks in the game. It just actively prevents you from executing your gameplan. A survivor enters the match carrying a tool they want to use. they have an idea how they want the game to go. Be it healing, breaking hooks, gen rushing or exiting via the hatch. Franklins whacks you once and puts a stop to your dreams and ambitions and disrupts your entire gameplan for that game.
I am glad that not more killers run Franklins, I would honestly quit the game if Franklin's became Meta. I do not like things that prevent me from playing the way I planned to play. That's why I don't like killers like Plague (who shuts down an entire branch of game mechanics just by existing) and that's why I don't like Franklin's.
Franklins is a pain in the ass. Imagine if survivors had a perk that disabled killer-addons for 30 seconds everytime they finished a gen or dropped a pallet or made you vault a window or something. Killers would be up in arms with torches and pitchforks. That's what Franklin's feels like.

This is curious to me because I've seen you complain about BBQ and Chili many, many times even though the perk has at least 4 soft counters to it.
So you think a hard counter to that perk is warranted but a hard counter to Keys is not?
Absolutely. You see, the problem with BBQ isn't that it doesn't have counters. It's that it's ubiquity utterly kills the stealth paradigm.
When something becomes meta, that's a sign that it needs a change. Even though BBQ is meta not because of its Aura Reading but because of its BP Gains, the fact is 90% of killers run it (I made that stat up but I don't think it's too far off the mark), so that means that 90% of killers everywhere have the ability to see where you are whenever they hook someone.
That is just bad for the game, because it utterly destroys stealth play.
It is the ubiquity and prevalance of BBQ that is the problem.
Keys aren't a problem in this way because they aren't everywhere. People who run around using plunderers like me are extremely rare. In fact I'd bet a lot of killers would be happy to see more survivors running Plunderers instead of DS, BT, Adrenaline and Dead Hard. They are also rare in the bloodweb so you aren't going to go into every match expecting a key.
Whereas right now you go into every match expecting the killer to pack BBQ.
-
The event itself doesn't need you to play both roles. You can get the pustule thing exclusively as killer or survivor.
It's the RIFT that requires you to play both to get the most out of it.

Brokendownpalace-I use spine chill, self heal, empathy, and urban evasion all level 3 perks. its not that I can't see him when im standing still or far away but like everyone playing as a survivor you move your camera around to see around you and so when your looking or hiding behind something you can't see...him so when you least expect it he's right next you.
Let me give you some tips from one stealth player to another.
It's clear to me you're a stealth player, but please, PLEASE. Stop using Self-Care. It is a trash perk. It is better for you to use Bond (to help find someone who can heal you) or just run Inner Strength (much better than Self Care).
Bond also helps your stealth game, it is an information perk like Spine Chill and gives you a lot of valuable information, which includes the killer's position! You can tell by watching your teammates if they are being chased or not. Use this to figure out the killer's position and move accordingly if you are stealthing.
Bond is superior to Empathy, empathy has longer range but is more narrow in its usage as it only works on injured survivors. Against some killers (like Plague and Legion) it's marginally better but Bond in most cases is the superior perk. It gives you the info you need, when you need it, all the time.
When you are ready to evolve into the next level talk to me when you want to use No Mither or Fixated. That is where the true power of Stealth Players comes from.
If you are using Spine Chill and Wraith is still getting the drop on you you aren't using it to its full potential. Wraith should never get the drop on you if you have spine chill. Learn to pay attention to it flickering. Some wraiths are smart and will mindgame you by moonwalking to your position, then uncloak with Coxcombed Clapper behind a wall, but this isn't a common thing to go up against so don't worry about it too much.

La sombra lower ranks like 14-20 survivors get really surprised like you said I've played with a few level 1 ranks and I see them struggle at times running away when getting chased while he's invisible and trying to look back and forward at the same I can see them struggle to see a cloak and runaway because of your camera movement...just somethings I've seen over time...
Wraith is built to be inescapable from. He is the best killer at tracking. That is his theme, he is the "Bloodhound" of the killers. He is the most difficult killer to juke and evade, his cloaking power gives him a speed boost so he can follow you, and all his perks aid in tracking (Bloodhound, Predator, Shadowborn). Further, his add-ons help in trailing the survivor as well, like Windstorm and Swifthunt.
The counter is to loop him.
He is to be honest easy to see while cloaked. I have no problems seeing him. My problem is escaping him. So I had to learn at least how to loop against him. But he is a tough matchup against someone with my playstyle, since I rely on juking and evasion to beat killers and survive.
I learned to loop but many Wraiths are better than me at the chase. Well, that's how it goes. I just need to practice more.
-
Wraith is fine. He doesn't need any changes to his kit.
The main problem with Wraith isn't mechanical problems, it's that his power attracts the worst kinds of killers -- the ones that like to camp hooks and tunnel survivors. He's built to do that, to be honest. It's not that he's too powerful, it's that he promotes tunneling and camping just by existing.
-
@PhantomMask20763 said:
It's supposed to be a risky perk, before it wasn't really cause if you were good at looping it wouldn't matter, but now if you risk facing a stealth killer, therefore making it riskier to take
It's still a risk.
And if you are good enough to loop a killer the entire game while he can see exactly where you are, then more power to you. You earned it.
-
@thrawn3054 said:
Why is the retort always about a killer being bullied? OoO was a high risk, high reward kind of perk. You took the risk of giving the killer perfect information in exchange for perfect information on them. Which is not to say that toxic people didn't use it. They absolutely did. But it wasn't like the killer was left helpless. As for the new iteration, just disable it when a killer is in stealth.
This should really be how it works IMO. If the killer has Undetectable, the perk should turn off. This still gives some control to the killer, because in most cases the killer can control when Undetectable activates. So Stealth Killer still have an edge when facing OOO.
The current state is too lop-sided in stealth killer's favor.
-
I feel you, the framerates got worse. So gonna buy a new computer this Christmas.
On the other hand, the Freddy Dreamworld framerates improved, they fixed up that crappy filter at least.
-
Just stop using the perk. It's a bad perk anyway.
-
Just ask nice in chat for the chests, I'm sure there'll be people who will let it happen. RNG though.
These challenges I find really wreck the game if you're just playing normally, but it's not like they're impossible. Still annoying though. Me I just feel pressured that I have to do it all because the rift closes in two months.
-
It was never removed, so what is this about it being "brought back?"
-
Naw Plunderers never did that. It's really hard to find stuff you dropped, especially keys, which were dropped in the middle of a chase and in the heat of the moment you forgot where exactly you got whacked. And as OCAF said, if it happened in a grassy area forget it, just work on your gens.
Anyway, I find this change unusual because survivors perks usually don't directly counter a killer's perks (it's usually the other way around), but in this case it does.
-
They are terrible but I'm sure the devs had better things to do than to remove them after finding out nobody liked them.
Or maybe they're Mathieu Cote's personal pet addition to the game and he absolutely is against removing them, who knows.
-
Spine Chill actually got buffed.
-
As expected.
We all knew this was coming. The Devs do have a tendency to nerf/rework things which are overperforming. That's why things like DS, MOM and Selfcare were nerfed/changed. I don't know what Spirit's Kill Rate is though but it looks like it's actually high enough out of the norm for the devs to notice.
-
Thanks Fibijean. I hate watching Streams so the Cliff Notes is great.
-
Why are you using Self Care with Adrenaline.
Actually why are you using Self Care, period.
-
The Grey ranks aren't immune to fighting high ranks. I posted a screen shot not too long ago of me versing a rank 17 killer and had three Grey ranks survivors on my team too.
Was a pretty sad experience for all four of them. The three survivors died and the killer scored less than I did. I escaped the match with a key I fished out of a chest... But didn't need to use as I just took my tile and went out the hatch.
I was in no real danger the entire match. I even made saves for all my newb teammates but they all died anyway.
I was Rank 7 at the time. Well above 7 rank variance.
-
Sounds dumb to me. The key is already a free hatch escape.
There is no need to make the exit gates any easier to open.
-
I Can assure you many purple and even red rank survivors die to plague on a regular basis. Yeah, I'm sure they weren't scared of plague at all.
Just tell us you don't play really survivor. It's nothing to be ashamed of. Then we can understand why you are saying such stupid things.
