It would be cool if the Teacher could assign you homework and you had to finish the homework before you could work on gens.

Or you have to scavenge the map looking for instructions on how to complete the gen. It would work like Pig's traps and slow down the game, but I think it should only apply to one surv at a time, otherwise it would be a little OP, since killers could combine it with Ruin, Thanat, and Lullaby to make sure survs never get to do gens.

If there was homework, Claudette would be the first one done every time.

    :)

    Yo,

Imagine the Boomer from Left 4 Dead. That would be awesome.

  • The Hash Slinging Slasher.

    No other killer will do.

    I play Nurse.

No Mither users die very quickly in my games.

Which usually leads to multiple people disconnecting.

So I'm not sure how this build of yours is meta.

Imagine this. You are chasing the obsession and you can definitely get them and make them waste DS right? Now imagine that when you go to swing for the down you hit me instead. Obsession can get away and killer is left with dilemma. Hook me and give the team Kindred (which at high rank I found makes teams play super optimally even if they are all solo), or slug me and let me get up so I can do it again and again. If killer never hooks me I can get up as much as I want and I don't need anyone to help me. If I go down and killer loses me on the ground, I'm gone. Everyone else is on gens. I can make a DS last much MUCH longer. Killer will waste a lot of time with me taking hits for other players and forcing them to only hook me, making the game go faster, or leave me alone and I do gens (also faster). I can make saves right in the killer's face with BT and killer can't stop me, even LF. They have to time the grab, and unhook with Resil is fast. If you see me in your game I'm going to make it my job that your first 3 hooks are on ME, and by the time I'm dead the other 3 are at the door waving. Basically having a NM player with this build ensure the killer gets exactly 1 killer, NM guy.

Think of NM as a time sink for the killer, where she spends all her time only to catch me first 3 times (if I want to make that happen). Every time she hooks me the game goes WAY faster, and every time she doesn't have tabs on me I could be doing gens really fast. The fact you want to die messes with a lot of killers, they want other people not you, the easy to kill guy.

You're putting way too much stock into your teammates.

It might work against the lower tier killers. Probably not so much with the high tier killers.

When I play Nurse, survivors have a hard time doing gens. Because I'm usually downing people pretty quick. It's not uncommon for me to have three people on the ground at once.

That said, I've been thinking about a No Mither challenge. I may give your build a go. I mean it couldn't hurt.

  • People actually do that?

    Wow.

I just wouldn't play with them anymore.

  • Yeah, whenever I hear about these things it does bother me.

Sometimes I feel tempted to derank my Nurse to rank 20.

Then if I come across these survivors I can totally trash them.

I'll go easy on the real rank 20s by letting them get enough points to pip.

  • Nah, points are more important to me.

I doubt anyone will ever be able to convince 70% of the killers to go on strike.

    Just ain't gonna happen.

I'm already on a strike. I'm not playing this game until I see some actual improvements. I've been a killer main since before Nurse came out and I'm finally telling the devs to [BAD WORD] off with their bs. It feels really good too.

I wouldn't mind going on strike too but I doubt it will avail anything.

  • It would be cool if the Teacher could assign you homework and you had to finish the homework before you could work on gens.

  • I don't know much about this since I don't use many items.

But if it's true, then yeah, I guess it needs to be patched.

  • I play Nurse.

No Mither users die very quickly in my games.

Which usually leads to multiple people disconnecting.

So I'm not sure how this build of yours is meta.

  • If I feel like it's game over, then yeah, I might do it.

Otherwise, it ain't over till it's over.

  • I doubt anyone will ever be able to convince 70% of the killers to go on strike.

    Just ain't gonna happen.

  • I don't think another Legacy event should happen. That was a one time deal to reward early players for their support of the game.

If they did release another legacy event however, I won't complain. I would love to have legacy for my Nurse.

The best bet is to design a super sweet skin for all the characters in the game. Then after completing some type of goal, you can choose one skin of your choice.

  • This isn't anything new.

  • I think three full heals is pretty fair.

If you need more than three, chances are said survivor is being very reckless.

Of course, if killers get the buff they need then Self Care can stay as is.

  • Your title is a little misleading.

But yeah, a poison killer could be cool. I can see how that power would be strategic too.

That said, it would be hard to distinguish Clown from the poison killer.

  • I mean, you can work through Ruin quite easily. Just need some experience.

As for the add ons, they can be pretty strong. I think improving his base kit instead of adding crazy ultra rare add ons would have been better but whatever.

  • Ummmm.

Hag is not OP. She just requires a bit of cleverness to combat.

  • I don't really play Doctor.

But if you want to camp gens, then I'd say go with: Ruin, Distressing, and Overwhelming Presence as the main three.

For the fourth, it's up to you. Pop Goes The Weasel can help stall even more. Of course, a chase perk like Brutal Strength I think is extremely valuable as well.

  • Myers I think is one of the most effective campers in the game.

Just tack on MYC and you can now heavily punish rescues.

Personally, I really hate Myers. But if you want to play him, become proficient at proximity camping. You can snowball really hard if you do.

  • It's fine where it's at right now.

Survivors are still in a very strong position. NOED just gives killers some extra ammunition.

  • No.

    Survivors still have it easy.

  • I think the upcoming pallet change is fine.

It's really infuriating when you clearly threw down the pallet but get hit at the same time.

However, I understand why killers are upset about it. Most of these proposed changes are just too premature.

Looping is still a problem and the devs need to address that first (or at the same time).

If all these changes become live, killer is going to be in a rough state again.

I'm all for improving the survivor experience, but the more important issues need to be addressed first. These constant band aid fixes are getting really old.

  • Nah fam, look out for numero uno.

The only time I trade my life is when I can get an extra WGLF stack. Sometimes, if I've already pipped, I may go for it just for the extra points.

  • The killer should be favored when it comes to normal chases.

Meaning, survivors that don't juke or mind game go down quite quickly.

Looping can still exist to an extent, but it needs to be limited.

There's more I can add but that's the main thing.

  • I don't usually mind T-bagging at the exit gates.

But when they do it during the main trial, that's when I start judging their character.

  • Don't get caught.

Just because you're on a hook doesn't mean you're entitled to free points.

  • I main Nurse.

But I always let Laurie players have the hatch :)

  • I've suggested this on the Steam forums.

After a few leaves, tack on a -75% blood point penalty on all future gains. Meaning, after every match you'll only receive 25% of what you would have earned. This penalty persists until the player shows they can stick around for the entire match.

  • I actually played the beta.

    The game is dreadfully boring.

It just doesn't make sense to spend money/time on a game I know I won't like.

  • I actually think Ruin should force a certain amount of skill checks, yes.

Of course, the biggest concern is fixing the totem spawn locations. My Ruin seldom lasts more than 30 seconds.

  • If you ever play Nurse on PC, you'll know what I'm talking about.

I actually learned the basics of Nurse on console and then switched to PC. I couldn't believe the difference.

  • Of course.

You just see more of it from survivors.

  • He's not as bad as Leatherface tho.

    At least Freddy is short.

  • Hi

I'm not sure I'll be able to offer much since I don't play on console anymore.
But in all honesty, I don't recommend playing Nurse on console. She's awful.

You're gimping yourself big time by playing Nurse on console. That's just my advice.

If you want to learn some new mind games, you can check out my YouTube: Mister Holdout. I've just started uploading highlights from my twitch. I play a pretty mean Nurse and I think you'll pick up some tips from watching me play. I play on PC of course but hopefully you can still learn some new mind games.

If you have any specific questions, just ask. I'll try and answer them if I can.

  • Yep, buffing SWF with aura reading sounds like a great idea to me.

No need to fix looping or gen rushing yet, am I right?

  • Some of these changes are troubling indeed. I understand why killers are not happy.

There are more important issues that need addressing before you can suggest buffs like these.

At the very least, handle it all at one time.

  • I think your analysis is spot on Runiver.

My question is when are the devs going to do something about these ridiculous loops survivors still have?

Seems to me like you should address these problems first before you go suggesting what the devs just did. Or, at the very least, handle it all at one time.

  • The fact that they can gen rush and pallet loop for days.

  • Nurse for obvious reasons.

  • I like the character design of Leatherface more than the others.

  • Nurse for obvious reasons.

This isn't going to be popular, but I've found the most success using his gas clouds to hard camp and then running an end-game build (NOED+bloodwarden) and some 3-gen strat perks like overcharge and unnerving presence.

Honestly, I really hope The Clown doesn't rely on end game builds. That would put a damper on things.

  • @Techn0 said:
The clown currently excels at chasing leaving much to be desired in the stall and tracking categories. With that I decided that this would be the optimal build for my play-style.

    • Hex: Ruin - Required perk, nothing more nothing less.
    • Monitor and abuse - Allows the clown to get bottle hits in before the survivors can really notice him, giving him a bigger boost at the start of a chase and a bit of tracking if he throws at gens.
    • Brutal strength/ Enduring -Normally this would just be enduring since brutal isn't really needed anymore but they both fill a niche on the clown. Enduring allows you to trash DS with the gas. Throwing a bottle at a survivor and then breaking the pallet will allow you to stay on your target if they camp a dropped pallet.
    • Knockout - Stall once ruin goes out. Could also run pop goes the weasel in its place but I prefer the slug game.

I've actually thought about Monitor and Abuse myself. It does seem like it could be useful sneaking up on survivors.

And I'm already really liking the idea of enduring. The fact that it can trash DS is really nice.

  • @Runiver said:
    Ruin
    NOED
Enduring (super strong, as you can drop a potion to your feet as you grab a DS user, and he will be greatly slowed down as he drops, allowing you to give him very minimal distance.)
And a flexible slot, possibly Franklin, Bamboozle or Brutal Strength since people will very likely drop early pallets on him.

Why no BBQ or Whispers? I thought the clown was decent in a chase.

Also, I like using NOED but to me that implies a killer is rather low tier. But I mean if it's necessary then it's necessary I guess.

The tip with Enduring is really smart however. I never thought of that. DS is still running rampant so it's definitely not a bad idea. And enduring is just awesome anyway.

  • @ChesterTheMolester said:
The Clown can punish vaults easily by forcing slow vaults for free hits so im not sure if Bamboozle will benefit him, atleast not as much as you might think, consider switching it for perks like Agitation, Iron Grasp, Brutal Strengh, Enduring, Remember Me etc, the rest of it is very solid.

Hmmm. Didn't think about that. I still think Bamboozle could be useful, especially when that small vault isn't enough. But we'll see.
