I usually hover around the Red/Purple Ranks myself and never feel the need to play sweaty honestly. If I can get a 4k, then it's nice I guess, but I'll take whatever I can get. If I see the match going pretty much toward the survivors winning, I'll stop trying to kill them and just farm some points and let them leave. Never really understood the huge need to 4k every match.

up to 56% faster unhook, and healing speed is more then almost any single perk in the game and the stats stack, resilience + botany knowledge + desperate measures is up to 198% healing speed or 99% self care speed, 223% with leader
getting half of the charges back on an item is pretty decent but with addons becomes ridiculous, 60 charge medkit becomes 90 charges, 52 charge commodious toolbox becomes 79 charges which is 1 gen at 150% gen speed
Visionary just helps not waste time on maps with no indicators for gens, lerys, the game to an extent, midwich and hawkins and helps new players get a feel for where gens will generally spawn
None of them are terrible your mindset for using them are just terrible

dragging you into this because 2 separate thoughts are too many for rn
Damn, I knew the new perks gave some good stats, but near double We'll Make It's heal speed?! I know what perks I'll be using from now on!

As others said, Console (PS4, Xbox and Switch) have no access to the PTB since it's a PC only download for now. I'd hope they do put it onto consoles at some point so console players can also test it out too.

Wow you're toxic. Imagine thinking someone is bad at the game for going down quickly. Mistakes happen. Some people get thrown off. Doesn't mean they're bad. We all get those days. Stop with the superiority complex dude.
Agreed. Way too many survivor players on this game that seem to think that you must last more than 5 minutes in a chase or you suck at the game. Yes, going down fast is very urghh in the middle of a match, but nobody is perfect. You could have the best looper around run a killer and even they could make a simple mistake. We're human and it happens. People need to remember that this is a game and to laugh it off. I always make stupid mistakes and just laugh them off because it's all just fun. The day people stop taking this game so seriously is the day the fun might actually return again.

I have a theory that most of the DBD toxicity comes from teen edgelords who think they're amazing and never at fault for anything.
Couldn't agree more honestly. Seems to be 'cool' for the current generation, you have to be the most vile human being on the planet on the internet.Man I miss the old days when people were legit nice!
-
One of the reasons I left DbD on Xbox for PS4. I played on there for a year and finally left because good god, the children that play this game on there. I got so many messages that are downright disgusting and I wouldn't say it to my worst enemy. I feel like because it's on the Game Pass it's attracting the worst possible kind of players to the game since what do they lose by playing and getting to bully someone across the internet. But, it is the internet so what can you do these days?
-
I like the perks design that Hex totems can replace themselves on another but that is seriously borked in many ways like you say. DH is just one. There's also NOED and Haunted Grounds. Imagine cleansing Haunted 3 to 4 times in a row, like, who at BHVR thinks that's a good idea? There needs to be some kind of token system to that perk imo or it's just going to become an absolute joke to go against.

Leaks confirmed we’re getting a Cybil Bennett legendary skin instead. Was hoping for Maria but I’ll take it.

If we are actually getting Cybil as a skin, legendary or not, I will throw my freaking money at BHVR for it!
-
It honestly feels like the devs were just playing Apex Legends and just used that speed guys 'ability' as a basis for the power. I forget his name, but it really just seems like that, but a horror version.

Right but lemme guess, you would have more "fun" if it was easier for you to win?
Not really. I don't want easy wins at any time. If I want to try win, I don't want it easy. I like the challenge of going against good survivors. Other people might find stomping potatoes fun, but not me.

Actually it doesn't mean that, you described one game. I have experienced this consistently since crossplay was enabled, dcs have gone up and the trend seems to be crossplay people. Further, I asked if others had experienced this, meaning I am aware I don't have all the data. Take your passive aggressive stuff elsewhere.
Sure, I'll be happy to take it elsewhere once people stop posting one sided arguments blaming each others platforms. My point is, you say consoles DC so much, but both consoles and PC do it just as much as each other. You can't just blame one and not the other just because cross-play is now a thing.

Wouldn't god loopers not be a win in your case? It's irrelevant to mention them right?
True but I don't really play for wins. I just play for fun. If I win, I win, if not, I try to at least rack some points up. Either way, as long as it's a fun match I don't mind either way.
-
I prefer my games to be in the middle. Not too easy, but not turning into a sweat fest to try down someone. As long as the survivors are good and give a good challenge, it would feel like a good match for me. It's no fun stomping potatoes who DH into walls, or god loopers who you'll never catch since they're in Narnia before you even see them vault.
-
Damn, you're right OP. Nerf the killer right now before it's released! We can't let him have no counter-play!
Joking aside, at least let the killer hit the PTB before we all jump to conclusions. Maybe BHVR learned from previous killers.

Its bad becouse if you are the obsession perk is useless. So pairing it with something like ds is really bad.Plus if the killer has nemesis you might as well remove this perk.
If you have DS then you run that risk using the perk together. And you can't exactly predict Nemisis on a killer unless it happens. Like I said, the perk is more for situational use rather than constant use.

Yeah, I've had the opposite with F13 because once Jason finds you, you're dead. The objective is also nowhere near as interesting as the generators and almost at the point of being absurd. Most of the time it boils down to "survive as long as possible" and that is not fun to me.
Never had the chance to be Jason though.
Trust me, you didn't miss much honestly. Most times when I played F13 the councilers would just hide the entire match under beds or tents, etc. Literally never leaving them, or leaving them to reset the AFK aura for the entire duration of the match. DbD has it's share of stealthers but at least you could actually find them eventually
-
Just going to put this out there as a PS4 player. Full PC lobby as Killer (I know because of the Steam names) and each DC'd. Oh, wait. Does that mean PC DC just as much as console?! Gasp! Who knew?
-
Why would you want to change it? It's fine the way it is. It shows either your and the obsessions aura to each other as long as one of you is injured. The speed boost is barely used in chases. How many times has the obsession come over and healed you when the killers on you? Sure, it has moments where it can save a survivor from being hit if you get the heal off just before they get there, but that's very rare.
-
I'm loving it honestly. PC survivors and killers are so much fun to play against. I get far less sweat fest teams for both sides for a change. It's really brought back the enjoyment of the game for me. I still get the occasional camper or potato teammate, but at least I'm finally enjoying the game and not just playing it to grind the Rift.

I agree but I heard somewhere that this is a licensed chapter
I hope not. We just had Pyramid Head and I'd prefer they just stick to original designs for killers and survivors, that way they're not tied down to licenses to change and add things for them.
-
I'm glad it's gone for me. I was getting nothing but low rank players, and yes, rank means nothing, etc, etc, but they were clearly newbies. The MM hasn't been too bad since it's gone now Cross-Play is here. I still get a fair few potato matches, but it seems I get more good survivors than bad now.
-
It seems like it's Vigo in my opinion. Tome 1's cutscene for him showed him bascially corrupted by the Pestula Flower stuff (I forget it's actual name), and the line 'Something's festering in the Fog' really makes me think it's for sure him. I think it would be pretty cool if it is honestly. This would be the first killer that was technically a survivor first, since he was always seeking a way out of the Entity realm after becoming obsessed with finding it, only to be corrupted by it.

To what end? If that was the case the killer would just stand there and safeguard the hook and hit you the moment you got off. So letting you struggle is pointless. There is no way for the survivor to survive at that point, they will just be slugged then force the killer to babysit their guts for 1 minute to put them back on the hook to dodge DS. Neither side would find that entertaining at all.
Depends on the killer really. If someone jumps off a hook I'll respect it and let them go for hatch. Deliverence too. I get that many would just put them right back up, but me personally I let them escape because in my eyes, they earned it.

I used to feel like that now I don’t cause it’s 9 times out of 10 I know it’s negative I’d rather you say nothing then you telling me to kill myself you no good camping tunneling Ghostface who uses that crutch devour hope
That is the downside I suppose. Too many keyboard warriors with fragile egos these days.
-
I'm on PS4 and I would love to have access to Post-Game chat to actually speak to PC players. The past few days I have met some really good survivors and even killers, and I just want to send them a simple GG but can't because there's just a huge void between us all. It wouldn't really affect anything in my opinion. If someone doesn't like chat, close it. But some of us just want to congratulate the killer or praise survivors for their work in the match.
-
Turns out the cake was a lie, created by Death Hill. Damn you Death Hill! We just wanted that cake!
-
I'm pretty excited to see the changes. It's finally going to make each map feel unique and not just a copy/paste shed in the middle of nowhere.
-
I've got no issue with survivors using stealth to avoid me as killer, but when the said stealther is spending 10 minutes locker hopping hoping that the other survivor dies so they can have hatch, no. I will happily tunnel and facecamp the stealther. Why should the other player, who is legit trying to do a Gen but has me constantly arriving be punished when the locker camper just sits by and waits for their free escape? In this scenario, the camper gets killed and the legit survivor gets hatch.
-
The only chance you'd have to use it in that situation is if another survivor was still on hook, or you were hooked before their death animation completed, otherwise you insta-die, which is kinda stupid especially if you weren't hooked a single time. They should at least change the system to let you try escape and if you fail and hit struggle, then insta-death.
-
I thought from the 1st picture it was the new killers map until I saw the others. Gotta say, if all killer shacks are themed around the maps look, it's going to be amazing. Yamaoka is a personal favourite of mine and seeing the new improvements makes it feel like it's a whole new map. Hopefully the Entity finally hired a garderner to trim some of those bamboos down a tad.
-
I feel like a parrot here, but stop blaming cross-play for everything. Why is it PC players are constantly shitting on Console lately? PC ain't no saints on this game. Not everyone on console is toxic and frankly, I'm tired of being tarred with the same brush just because a select few PC players don't like cross-play. You don't like it, feel free to use that amazing option in the Options menu that let's you turn it off. Don't like the longer queues because of it? Then learn to adapt or stop complaining. Cross-play has been a godsend for console because wait times on there were god damn awful and it's been way more enjoyable going against PC players.
-
It's just a fun time for me, as either Survivor or Killer. Sure, it's got moments where teammates are complete idiots, or survivors you VS will bulldoze you into the ground, but I honestly don't care about that. I like to play the game and just mess around. A lot of people take the game too seriously in my eyes. I personally like to hop on and just throw random perks on and go wild. Test myself, practice with new builds. It keeps the game fresh for me, compared to using the same 4 perks over and over again.
-
Wow, another PC VS Console thread. Original as always. Just to add, PC players are just as bad for the camping crap as Console is. Nobody, regardless of platform, is an angel in this game so please for the love of god, stop using Cross-Play to attack the other side. It's getting sad now. If you don't like PC/Console, turn off your Cross-Play in the options and go play on your own platform. Not every console player or PC player is out to get everyone.

A daily map rotation seems the most efficient way to make everyone happy. And increased odds to have licenced ones on halloween & stuff.
I'd prefer a system like that. It gets super tiring going to Coldwinds various maps over and over over the span of 10 matches. I'd even be happy if they added in a map vote system. Randomly choose 3 maps to go to before the match and each player can vote. Offerings for maps could make it so that specific map type is guaranteed to appear on the list for voting.

But like I said, the tutorial isn't a training for matches. It's bare bones gameplay. The bots are stupidly programmed. You can literally just walk into them and they will still just run in a straight line.

@Waffleyumboy said:

Perk abuse doesn't exist period. If you don't like how someone uses their perk, you go ahead and be salty but it's not abuse just by playing the game as intended.
Right, because purposly downing yourself unhooking someone while you have DS was of course the 'intended' way. Or when they decide to hop into a locker. Must have missed that in the Perk description.
-
Why would it matter if you chose a character? The tutorial is bare basics of the gameplay itself. You can't exactly go in and practice a match.
-
I find most times they do it because they think you'll chase them after hitting them knowing they also have DS. I just wait out the 15 seconds then down them and eat the DS. The only time I won't is when they just try to protect the survivor that unhooked. That is fine, but when you are blatantly trying to abuse it, then bets are off.

Exactly, but I kinda feel like it might be a bit too strong in solo queue or low ranks, were people just open the gates. Low rank survivors might be confused as to why the gate closed when they went for a save or something so I could see a problem with it there. I just like the idea that if a team gets too cocky trying to go for a save then you can maybe give them a bit of a scare at the end lol
I'd for sure use it just to put some of these cocky survivors in their place for a change. Let them T-Bag at a gate watching the Perk slowly ticking down to activation. The salt would be delicious.

0 to 100 real quick there. Literally just a fun idea I thought of.
I think you triggered the survivor main. I like the idea. It would punish survivors who try hover around in a match when they can just leave. And, to add more, if they are still inside the gate when the perk activates, they would be forced out, or trapped inside unable to enter the match. It would really make survivors more wary and give them less reason to remain in a match to just T-Bag
-
This post right here, is just a perfect piece of art and I loved it.
-
Congrats. I gave up on Adepting all my characters. Mainly killers since it's sp picky about when it was a 'perfect' game
-
I don't understand the argument myself. It's the same game, bar PC could have higher graphics or lower, but it still functions the same way that console have it. All I've seen so far is that console players are far more toxic than PC. Console players are doing nothing productive in matches. PC killers are sweaty tryhards. It just seems this whole cross-play release has been an excuse to blame each other for whos worse, when in reality, you don't know if that survivor who just screwed you was a PC player. Could be a Switch player. Everyone has the same icon but people on console just seem to want to blame PC instantly. I really hope people can just learn to get along for once and enjoy the game together.
-
The problem I have with cross-play right now is the insane lag. As killer, it seemed fine, played smooth. But survivor has me randomly teleporting backwards or skill checks completely miss themselves. Other than that it's fine
-
I'm loving it too honestly. I was super paranoid about playing killer against PC players expecting to be easily beaten, but it was a lot of fun to go against them. It feels like a whole new set of skill was added into the game. I just wish that we could at least message them to say GG because one of the survivors was pretty decent at loops and made me really work for it.
-
I'd be for text chat. And just to let those who are so against console being able to chat to PC, kindly remember that not everyone on console is a toxic arse thanks. Some of us have manners and just want to say GG and compliment the killer/survivors who we played against. The same goes for PC players. Not everyone there is toxic.
-
So should we also disable DS and Adrenaline after 50 hours? Those both reward a survivor for mistakes. No, because it's the players choice to use the perks they unlocked. Nobody has the right to tell anyone what to and not to use in their game. If you're so bothered by NOED, maybe try doing those white skulls that sometimes glow around the map maybe? Maybe try letting go of the Gen sometime and do one of those mystical bones?

I had a game as Nurse against 4 Console survivors. The first 20 seconds it went clicky a bit, then it was silence and scream for the rest of the game as usual :P
It was an honor to show them Nurse. I guess we will see a lot more complains about her in the near future, once console players realise what Nurse really is ;)
As a PS4 player, I look forward to the day I encounter you and your beautiful Nurse. Console Nurses are too easy to beat and Nurse is a favourite of mine to go against, so hopefully we will meet in the fog soon! 😀
-
If the survivors knew what they were doing, then they were essentially abusing an exploit and that is a bannable offence. My advice is to completely avoid hills as both sides until it's fixed, especially if survivors are now abusing it to trap killers.
-
Why is that every 'I hate this Cross-Play' argument always contains the words PC and Hacker together? People act like Hackers are rampant all over the game and I can guarantee it's because you only really see them on content creators streams or videos. Console players, please for the love of god, stop freaking out thinking every match will be a hackfest, because it really isn't. I'm on PS4 and even I know that PC isn't as bad for hacking as it's made to be. Hell, there are hackers on PS4 and Xbox just as much as PC so no platform is immune.
