Nowhere in the game forces anyone to do anything for anyone else. If you don't get saved from hook, then your teammates are for sure selfish, but that was their choice. And killers don't get punished for camping. If you mean de-pips and less BP, thats not punishment since ranks mean little these days and killers are BP farmers anyway. The game was never a team game despite what it's turned into today. It was you alone with random strangers that may or may not help you.
-
All this thread has stated is you hate Cross-Play, you hate PC killers and you think they have advantages over console players. You mention color-blind, what? Once or twice? Solution: Either get used to Cross-Play or turn it off. Don't want to turn it off because you get less players? That's your issue. Don't like PC having an advantage? Then perhaps you need to move on from the game. All you've done this entire thread is insult people who reply and ######### about PC players.
-
Well so far it seems to be working, at least from what I can tell. I seem to get hit far less vaulting a window now, and pallet drops seem a little more stable in not being smacked even though the killer was clearly stunned. But time will tell on just how well it works.
-
I wish I could have your experience over mine! I never play to win, just points and some fun, but survivors I go against really don't want me to have fun. I seem to always have the Flashlight/Sabo squads while Gens fly out the door. I mean I still get points but it's frustrating because its tough trying to get hook points. Survivor is 50/50. Some games are pretty relaxed, others needs a jolt of Adrenaline because the killer's coming in hard and fast.
-
I saw Billy a few times after the change, but since then he seems to have vanished. Bubba seems to be the new choice, but even then, hes rare too, despite being an absolute beast now. I kinda miss Billy tbh, especially now he has silent chainsaws. That was a fun one to go against.
-
Like said above, it happens on both sides. It's a power rush to some people knowing you're dominating over them and the other side has no chance to win. Myself, I'll always give a survivor hatch if they had crappy teammates, or they seemed like they're new. As survivor, if a killer struggled, I won't T-Bag or rub it in, I'll point toward a hook and let them have it.

Its 4 no mithers... they are literally oneshottable... theres other perks that counter killers powers with no downsides. Spine chill vs ghostface and Michael slippery meat guarantees you get out of trappers traps. Calm spirit ######### doctor.
Perks that only offer slight counters. Doc can still track you even if you have Calm Spirit. He laughs regardless if you scream or not, giving away someone WAS nearby. Spine Chill just offers the chance for a survivor to know the killers looking at them, not the exact location of them. Slippery Meat just increases the chance of escaping a trap and even then, there are add-ons to reduce the chance to esape anyway. Oni's power is to speed around the map and 1 hit. Yes, No Mither guarantees a 1 hit anyway, but that would still deny his power. Oni's power isn't just the fact he can 1 shot, it's the fact he can 1 shot and speed for another. With no power, he's going to waste time searching for 3 remaining survivors while the No Mither just recovers from the floor.
-
A Bloodweb rework is longer overdue at this point. A prime example is when PH and Cheryl were released, and it took me over 2 Mil BP on just Cheryl alone to get the actual perk I wanted. Luckily I did this at the 4th Aniversary event when BP was overflowing. And now with another chapter being released next month, the grind returns even worse. I really hope they have some sort of plans in place to do something because it's going to get to a point for me I won't bother buying a new DLC just because I don't want to have to grind and pray to the RNG gods that Perks I find useful will actually apear.
-
Yeah this won't happen ever. If Oni went against 4 No Mithers, how is he supposed to do anything? He'd become a 1 use killer. He'd have no way to ever get his power. Explain how that would be fair?

ffs this is the third post about this video, so fine.
0-10s: Spends the first seconds of the match checking gens right next to him where it is impossible for survivors to spawn. Could have saved several seconds cutting away from this useless area.
23s: Swings at Sprint Burst. Common mistake, we all do it sometimes.
1:20: Doubles back too early giving the survivor a free fake.
1:38: Wastes a lot of time taking the survivor to the basement when there was a hook extremely close to the downed survivor. Does nothing with the basement pressure so its pure wasted time.
1:58: Extremely bad move. Goes to the edge of the map to kick a generator, leaving the entire rest of the map unpressured. The temptation to Pop generators ruins a lot of killer's momentum.
During this entire time, he has not left the vicinity of the shack for the entire match.
2:10-2:30: Just walks around the shack doing nothing.
2:34: Instead of the free down on Billy, he wastes his power on hitting a survivor with Borrowed Time.
2:52: Has more than half his power and chooses to pick up the survivor instead of doing the thing Oni does best - snowballing.
2:59: Again wastes more time putting a survivor in the basement to do nothing with it.
As of 3:30 he has still not left the vicinity of the shack for the entire match.
4th gen pops at 3:37 and he doesn't understand how only two hooks and staying in this same spot let this happen.
Thank you. I was going to say pretty much this. He complains the game is going too fast and SWF, etc etc, but he just sat around Killer shack afraid he'd lose that hook. Even when he finally decided to go to another Gen area, it was far too late at this point. People need to stop using Streamers as 'examples' of the balance of the game because, no offence to Tru3 here, but he makes so many blatant mistakes and won't admit to them.
-
First, how do you know they're PC. Could be PS4 or Switch. You don't know.
Second, this post just feels like yet another 'Blame PC for X problem'.
-
I've had this happen to me today on PS4. Loading into a match and blue crash screen. Go back, and 5 minute penalty for something beyond my control. And the bad thing is, this can happen at anytime to anyone, and then it's 15 minutes, and whatever comes next. The game is not stable on console to begin with, and we're punished for the game crashing. I love DbD but everyday it gets harder and harder to support it with the rampant bugs in it.
-
I've noticed it too. Theres been a few times I've hit someone, and they zoom off as normal, but scratch marks are non-existent for a second or so. Or when I see someone run from a Gen, you'll see the marks appearing after a delay. I get they can blame latency but theres latency, and then theres this happening on a stable connection.
-
@Zozzy said:
If you know it is a thing, then why are you going near it?
Sometimes you can't avoid it. I had it happen to me against a Myer's. The rock literally sucked me into the spot as I was being chased by it. He then proceeded to leave me there the entire match as he killed everyone else. Fun match.
-
That's not lag, it's a gamebreaking bug. Stay away from those whenever in matches. You get frozen there till the killer downs and picks you up

I thought my controller was defective when this happened to me so I actually bought a new controller (i needed a new one anyway) and this still happens to me occasionally. I don't know how to reproduce this bug.
Same here. I've only had it happen a couple times on GF. I downed a survivor and pick them up but my movement feels as though I'm getting stuck on something. Even after the survivor is gone, the bug stays. But, DbD is a bug haven so it's pretty tricky to pin down the cause.
-
It was nerfed because new players couldn't hit Greats and had trouble going against it. I do agree it was tough because when I started, I could barely hit them, and it just led to the other survivors sending messages telling me to quit and uninstall the game. I do like it's current effect, but the old one was better in operation. It actually slowed down gen progress, rather than the current one that needs them to be off the gen to regress it. It seems most perks that get changed these days share this pattern of catering to newer players.

I'm on ps4 as well, and its not a dbd bug. Its your joystick. Idk what causes it tho
Can't be because I've had this exact same bug with GF, and my controller is brand new. Something triggers a bug that causes killers to become a snail. Rarely happens, but it does. Theres also a Hag bug where she can cause an unhooked survivors camera to be off-centre and cause severe movement glitches.
-
How do you know they're PC? The only indication you have of Cross-Play is the icon, and that could mean PS4 and Switch, not just PC. And PC aren't the only toxic players in the game. Every platform has them. You can't just point the finger to PC because you think they're the ones being toxic. I see far more PS4 toxic players since I'm on PS4 myself so I know they're on there. Most PC players I've met have been decent players and not even slightly toxic toward me. People seriously need to stop trying to point the finger at others and just accept, everyone is equally toxic on every platform.
-
They just need to do what the Mobile version did. Someone DC's, it creates a husk of the survivor controlled by the AI. At least then, the killer still gets hook points and survivors are no longer a man down.
-
If you have access to a PC, you can use the Xbox Companion App for Xbox parties, though that app is absolute garbage at times and barely works. I use it just to play with my friends who're on Xbox themselves since I'm on PS4. You could also use it to talk to PC players too since they can just make a Xbox GT to join parties. You could also use Discord. Hopefully the Devs add some kind of Cross-Play coms because it's kinda negating the point of Cross-Play when you can't talk to friends on other platforms
-
People will always DC no matter what, penalty or not. Suiciding hook is just the workaround to avoid the timer really. And even when they do have a penalty, they can just go do something else until it's gone. There's never going to be a right way to enforce it, and you can't force players to stay in a match they don't want to. And at the same time, there are those as you say that are punished for something out of their control. I doubt there is a solution to any of it really because people will always find some sort of workaround to it.

and the hachets are limited by hitboxes and hefty ready, cancel and reload times. thats not an excuse.
death slinger can 2 hit people faster than anyone else in the game he has stealth on top of this
If you're seeing a Deathslinger hitting 2 people at the speed of light, then you're facing a hacking killer. Also, PH can smack all 4 instantly. Faster than this Deathslinger you're facing, so yeah. Deathslinger isn't the fastest killer anymore :)

Most people agree with a DC for the hill glitch, that’s why the penalty starts at 5 minutes... I’m sorry but these people who claim they experience a dozen game breaking bugs in the space of a day so they’ve been banned for three days, I just don’t buy it.
The more likely explanation is that Joe Blow DCs once against Spirit and once against Iri hatchet huntress and THEN experiences a bug so that DC earns him a half hour timeout so he comes here and makes up stories
Oh yeah I totally agree with that. I find it hard to beleive at times someone has their game amazingly crash 15 times in a row just as a match starts against Spirit or Freddy, but never any other killers.

I''ve also noticed there's absolutely no Zarina daily. Or at least I haven't gotten one since her release. Not sure about Nancy, Steve, or Cheryl. I honestly think they forgot to add survivors after the Ghostface chapter into the rotation because I never see their names come up.
Also haven't seen a Pyramid Head on so maybe they just forgot everyone XD
But yeah, I do think the game sees what side you play most and then gives you challenges for the other side. I typically delete the Nurse, Demo, and Spirit ones because I don't mess with them. I'll do Huntress, Myers, and Legion if I have to. Sometimes Trapper if I feel like being patient enough
I can confirm PH 100% does have a Daily. Cage survivors. But the rest I've never seen either. To the OP, they're pretty much random but my luck always puts me with killer dailies most times, and always kill survivors (Mori) with X killer. One challenge I despise and always skip
-
While I don't agree with DC'ing in general, a match where your ping seems to be connecting you to the moon is one I'd accept. Who would want to rubber band everywhere the entire match? Myself personally, I ran into the damn Hill glitch and got stuck there for 20 minutes because the killer refused to even acknowledge me and focused on everyone else despite knowing I was there thanks to AFK crows. So everyone who says DC'ing is bad, in these 2 situations, is it still bad? Would someone want this to happen to them and be forced to play a match that way? Because I certainly wouldn't.

Don’t just make a female killer for the sake of it. The characters are diverse enough as is.
I like the design of the new killer, it obviously has similarities with other blight infected cosmetics but overall it’s a solid design, a very cool Mori and an.. well, at least interesting and funny power. I don’t think a gender swap would have worked well on this killer..
This 100%. I'm all for equality and being diverse, but it feels like too many people want these things forced into too many things lately just because it's 'needed'. I could care less if they released a killer that classed itself as a genderless hotdog. As long as it's fun and unique, who really cares about the gender, race, etc?
-
I just feel like prestige is pretty useless. Sure, it's supposed to boost rarer items on the Bloodweb, but to grind through 150 Webs is a grind and then some. I only did it the once for the trophy and after that, everyone just stayed at base 50.

While true, not everyone can afford one in a couple of months. I play on PC, but everyone else I can now play with are on PS4 or Xbox. Two of them are having to move to a new house within the next few months due to the owner of where they live selling it (and that is not a small expense), and the other works but has kids, a mortgage, et cetera and can't just drop hundreds for a new-gen console at release. Especially with kids and family to all buy for for Xmas in a few months.
They need to optimize the current consoles, not just rely on everyone affording the new generation at their launch.
Totally agree with this. I've got no plans to go forking out over £500 for a brand new console when my PS4 works perfectly fine as is. If DbD wait until the next-gen console to actually fix the FPS, I certainly won't be buying DbD there if I did upgrade. It'd feel like a complete slap to the face to those of us who supported the game on current gen
-
It does work combined with No Mither, but if you wanted less risk, try using Iron Will instead of No Mither, that way, you can still have the boost and with no pain sounds, you're completely silent as No Mither only reduces it to 75% less pain sounds. And you'd at least be able to heal if you really needed to.
-
I mean, they're rubbing bones. Maybe it's just the excitement. I mean, it has to have been a while since... You know 😉
-
Wow, this is STILL an issue?! They disabled it to 'fix' the hacking backdoor that affected one content creator, but not the issue that plagues the majority playerbase. The priorities man 😶

It's the opposite. Original killers/survivors can be bought with shards, playtime. Licensed are only with money.
But that still causes an issue. Shards are earned from playtime, leveling up your account level. Some players might only have an hour a day, or even week to play and thus, locks them out of earning perks from the shrine and forcing them to buy DLC they may want but may never use. Like I said, there's a lot of variables that have to be taken into account.
-
Yes and no. I'm not going to say PC is worse, because they're not. Console are just as bad as PC. Both are as bad as each other, and making these kinds of posts pointing fingers at the other side is just going to cause people to war at each other. The games already divided enough with Survivor VS killers posts. We really need to stop these Console VS PC posts. It doesn't do anything good for anyone.
-
Yeah, gunna disagree on this. Why only licensed? What if I wanted a perk from say, Oni, but I don't want to buy Oni because I would never use him? Should I waste my money on a DLC that won't ever get used outside of 3 perks? Are 3 Perks really worth that much money? Locking the shrine to specific characters only would be a very bad move. And sure, the DLC isn't much, but whos to say what is and isn't much money? Some people might not have the income to hapily fork out for a DLC on release. There's many factors that you need to consider here. Not everyone is a walking bank machine.
-
The issue is Red rank survivor is easy to reach. A casual can hit that point by playing enough. I myself can hit Rank 1 in a couple days after reset, and I'm not that good in chases. I focus on Gens, Totems and saving from hooks and healing, getting me enough emblem score to pip, which shouldn't happen. The rank system needs to be scrapped because as many can tell you, it isn't a good indicator of skill. A player who has 100 hours could hit Red ranks, where a 2k+ hour player could reach maybe purples because they play less, but still have great skill at the game. And since MMR failed, we'll be waiting a while longer before we see any solution to the current MM issues.
-
At the current point of the game, it's become very tedious, especially when you have everyones Teachables for both sides. Pair this with the new Survivor/Killer releases and you're left spending millions trying to get them all again on that character. I mean, for survivor it really isn't that bad since they don't matter. You could just do it on one single character since they're just skins of each other, but for me, I enjoy playing as each character, more for the variety of the character, and using different builds for each character, but for killers it's worse since Perks work around their powers and trying to get certain ones is a real pain. I really hope they do some kind of Bloodweb rework to make it easier to obtain perks rather than praying for RNG to make the one you want appear.
-
It can't be denied that killers for sure earn far more BP easily than a Survivor can, mainly due to BBQ. Survivors have WGLF on David sure, but when there are 3 other survivors fighting for that unhook, you can easily miss out on a stack. There have been many times I've run the perk alongside Kindred and there's always a survivor crouched near the hook so I can't get there for a stack in time. And combined with the fact that 3 other survivors are doing Gens, Totems and Chests, you could easily miss out on a lot of points, especially if you're in a chase with the killer.
-
As Survivor I refuse to use Meta Perks, more out of principle really. I feel DS is easily abused for free escapes, especially EGC. If I screw up, I don't want to start relying on a second chance. I'll use BT but even then I will try avoid unhooking in a killers face, unless they're literally right there and I need to fast.
As Killer, I refuse 100% to camp or tunnel a survivor since, for me, having them done to me is frustrating and just leaves a sour mood behind. I like to be fair, and if I do down a unhooked survivor, I make it a point to leave them there, not out of fear of DS, but because they deserve to at least try get back into the game before I attempt to go back for them. I also refuse to use NOED, again, second chances. If I didn't manage to get everyone before the gates are opened, then that's on me and a GG to the survivors.
-
I mean, I respect you opinion, but maybe at least wait until it's fully released before raising the pitchforks? Also, no arrow to the knee joke? I'm disapointed 😶
-
I have to agree, the pallets look much better. Even the new Gens actually look like you're repairing a Gen now and not just rubbing it a little. I hope they update the healing too, so the animations do more healing, rather than back rubs. Honestly, just little things like this upcoming update really make the game feel better imo.
-
Hag is one of the few killers that still legit turns me into a schoolgirl. Anytime I don't realise it's her as killer and a trap just bursts out of the ground I lose my man card for the day. The only other killers that do it to me are Myers standing 10 feet away watching me and GF grabbing me from nowhere.

If we take his PTB power as a base and not create a new one, why not have him release toxic spores when he Slams into a wall, inflicting a debuff on all survivors, his addons already do something similar so the stretch isn't far.
I'd take this over the current power. Something more than 'Human pinball machine on steroids'. I liked the general idea of it, but in execution it's pretty clunky and messy. I said in another post they could add something like PH's trail effect that if a survivor was to walk over it they'd become slowed or receive some sort of a Debuff that could be altered via Add-Ons. Just something that makes him more than a bouncy Nurse/Legion.
-
I ran this perk a few times on it's release of the SH chapter and I got use out of it once, and that was just because the killer left me during EGC because he thought I had DS while his NOED was up. Beyond that, most killers will just pick you up instantly and it makes the perk a wasted slot. It does have it's uses, especially if the killer waits for you to be revived and smacks you, but the free Unbreakable relies heavily on a Hex and the killer leaving you alone for long enough.

No offence here but I've seen more PC boosted ranks than Console lately. I'm not starting a war here, or trying to say one side is better than the other, but PC isn't exactly swimming with amazing players either.

Honestly being The Blight would have been better. When he DOES pinball off things. He SHOULD HAVE left an effect that slowed survivors down. Like Plague has. Sans-vomit. As of now there's nothing associated with his namesake. 🤦♂️
I would have expected his goo splats to at least do something. Hell, they could have made it like PH trails but it slows down survivors who walk through it. Even when he goes pinball mode, they could have made it so if he crashes into a survivor they get maybe exhausted or slowed for X seconds, but nope, we have to bounce off a wall first to remember that the stick we hold is for hitting. I really hope that on full release the power has something more going for it.
-
My Ghostface has a surplus of Ebony Mori's set aside just for Selfies with Blendettes. They love it so much they DC instantly upon it happening. Gotta love a Blendette squad!
-
I recently had a match as Demo on Lery's on PS4 against PC survivors and my god. They must have loved it because anything I tried resulted in me, at least on my screen, lagging around because of the choppy frame rate. And once that centre room was active, I had to avoid going near it. If that doesn't ring alarm bells to the devs that a killer can't even go near the centre of the map and can only roam the outskirts then they're clearly blind to the console issues.
-
I have to agree about the survivors suiciding on 1 hook, it really does mess up the game flow and points, and can even mess up a team if they're all solo. Pipping really doesn't mean much in this game anymore since you seem to be thrown to the red rank survivors at any rank anyway, but at the same time, Adept killer achievements/trophies are tied to the pipping system and 1 single survivor suiciding negates that achievement/trohpy instantly. But, what can anyone do really? We can't force a player to stay in a game and there's no real way to determine if the survivor just peaced out or maybe had a moment of lag hitting struggle and missed the cue for the button. But killers should get more points if a survivor dies on first hook.
