There are new achievements, but if you're on Xbox, they're not appearing there for some reason. They're on PS4 and Steam so they do exist.
-
I don't get it personally. Blight clearly stands pretty much the same height as a survivor, but seems to be staring at their arses. I mean, I Get he's slightly hunched, but he's not exactly crawling on the floor hunched. It just makes getting around so clunky when you're seeing more of the floor than a slugged survivor.

Its rly annoying when I zoom thru survivors
For some weird reason I've been having collision with them. Had a Jake standing at a pallet, and I bounced off him and he dropped the pallet on me. So either survivors now have collision, or I just somehow hit the pallet weirdly

Oh my, I'm gonna take a pause from dbd again then. Bhvr fix your servers damn
It's been getting to that point for me for days now. During the day, games are nice and relaxed, even with SWF. Fair and fun. But night hits and I swear the E-Sport squads hit the servers and just go all out to be the biggest twats in the game. I love playing killer but these kinds of players just make me want to leave the game for good.
-
I screamed as survivor but did find it weird the killer didn't bother to come back. Tried on Blight myself, and heard nothing, but insta-downed a Bill that I didn't even realise had touched the gen I kicked since he was so far away from it.
-
Have to agree, the turning feels super stiff. I'm on PS4 and the controls feel like you're running him across ice and trying to turn decently is a nightmare, even with Add-Ons. Oni and Billy don't even feel this stiff during their powers so hopefully some tweaks will be made to Blight to make turning a little better.

Holding space bar instead of tapping it allows the animation to complete for me, which worries me as it could be intentional.
I tried that on PS4 with the equivalent button and it still just acted like I was lagging. It's let so many survivors break away because of it.
-
I love the new killer in concept, but in execution he's god damn awful. I'm on PS4 and just unlocked him with Shards (Thank god!) and jesus christ. I feel like I'm on ice or something. I try to bounce into a wall to catch a survivor but Blight just decides, nope, I'll just slide along this and fly right on by the survivor. Trying to hit anyone that isn't directly in front of you with a Lethal Rush is insanely hard. There's zero turn on his hit. The perks are fantastic for sure, though Dragon's Breath doesn't make survivors scream, or at least, it didn't on a Bill in my previous match but he just insta-downed on hit and I didn't even know he'd touched the gen. Honestly, this killer has been a super letdown. I love to play as him for sure, but his power is just so out of place he's essentially a single attack killer with a boost to catch up to survivors.
-
Well, to update my earlier post. It's still happening, but the best part is, survivors (Mainly SWF) are now abusing it! Yay! Just had a 4 man SWF with 4 toolboxes and 4 Petrified Oaks. So I was thinking, ok, sabo SWF squad. I'll slug. Well, no. Hooks were so far apart it was stupidly insane. So I tried to hook, but of course, hook lag starts and theres a Nea saboing away and boom. No hook. Rinse and repeat the entire game and they all escape via hatch. So yeah, awesome match! Here's hoping this stupid hook lag gets fixed, because that was the lowest of plays I've ever encountered in this game to date.

So what I am hearing is, it should be base kit from the start.
They should have made it similar to Hag's teleporting, how she is facing the survivor upon teleporting. Blight should just automatically face the survivor after bouncing. It'd make his power much better and less rebouncing off a wall by mistake and letting a survivor gain distance.

So after have 700+ hours as survivor, I decided to play killer, I am Rank 18 but I am slowly getting higher up and I will probably main survivor 60% of the time and killer 40%.
I get this adrenaline rush while playing Ghostface and my eyes light up and my heart starts racing.
I run BBQ, PGTW, I'm All Ears, and Sloppy Butcher. The reason for Sloppy cuz I don't have Brutal Strength, wish me luck.
You've had a taste of blood and now you'll soon crave it. Good luck on your murder spree! Here's hoping to see you out there sometime soon! π
-
Sounds like a bug, everytime I've gone against him I hear his TR starting to come closer. Though I have to say it does seem pretty quiet at the start, very similar to Deathslingers. Theres a couple times I've realised late he's coming.
-
I have this happen all the time. I'll have 2 survivors stealth around the map forever and never touch a gen. It just becomes a game of which idiot will get caught first so the other can hatch camp. The way I see it is, if you're going to lose, you're going to lose. There's no need to drag a match on for 15 minutes because you want a hatch escape.

y'know what? I propose killer's unitedly go on strike, Caleb can prolly turn the pustula flowers into moonshine and we get completely plastered till the entity gets its s--- together.
Sounds like a plan. We can all meet in the Dead Dawg Saloon and just get wasted! π

i dunno if it's on my end or the servers, cause
- it feels like the game has trouble with my position (it's stuttering in the sense that it 'resets' me inches)
- it's oddly fine with survivors.
I can confirm it's defintly the game servers. I've had matches as both survivor and killer. Survivor works weirdly perfect, no issues, but the killers are noticbly lagging, especially when they try to hook. You can see the animation of wiggling resetting itself when they try. As killer, I had the same issues. The movement acting like I'd lagged for a split second and the hook refusing to work
-
It's pretty frustrating especially when you've got them on the ropes. I've had it happen so many times. Usually I'll be chasing a survivor with 1 hiding somewhere, and 9/10 times, they'll suddenly dart for a location with nothing there, and it's always the other survivor waiting for them with a key. Now, I don't mind keys honestly, because if they want to escape that way, then fine by me, but there really does need to be some kind of a wind-up to it's use. Like 5 seconds of them using it and unlocking the hatch or something. I mean, at least before we could grab them as they jumped, but since that's long gone, we have no defence against it.

Deathslinger is weak. Huntress is better than him in all regards. Nice try changing the narrative though surv main.
Ok seriously. I make one comment and I'm suddenly a survivor main? Grow up please. I play both sides, and I just have an opinion about both. If you don't like it, don't respond. No need to be one of those types throwing the 'main' argument around.

Here we go with the "EnTiTleD KiLlEr WaNt 4K"
Firstly: Where did I say I want 4ks? I remember saying I want survivors to EARN things.
Second: Nice job encouraging this play style.
Thirdly: The offering doesn't negatively effect only killers, it can effect survivors too.
Here's an example: No one has a key but the killer puts in the offering, you get down to only 2 survivors left. The killer can now herd one of the 2 remaining survivors closer to where the hatch will spawn, hook them, close hatch, then guard gates. You had a good game, you're close to earning the escape, but the offering ruined that.
Face it, no matter what way you cut it, a brown add on should NOT effect the game this much
Ok then:
First: Didn't specify YOU. It was a general remark that many want a 4k or nothing at all.
Second: Thanks, I play that way in hopes that others will and actually have some FUN on the game, not turn it into a Adrenaline filled E-Sport contest.
Third: Again, the offering makes it pretty obvious where the remaining survivor or survivors will hover around/head to so it's not rocket science to stay close to that area.
-
I mean everyone complained Deathslinger was weak and he needed to be changed, and look where we are. They demand him nerfed. Give it a month. 'NERF Blight!' will come!

Go ahead.
Not all of us that play killer get that bent up about keys.
Whatβs next? DC on map offerings? oh wait some of you already do that. I forgot.
This. If they want a 'EZ Escape' then let them have it. Who cares at this point? Too many people act super entitled to a 4k every match. I personally could care less if all 4 escape. I just want to go into a match, have fun, and move on. A simple Offering changes nothing. If anything, you now know where the last person who doesn't save or isn't doing a gen is going to be hovering around.
-
As much as I feel sorry for PC right now who's suffering, I'm kinda glad for those that always ignore our issues. Now you can see just how bad we have it somedays! But honestly, I do hope it's fixed for PC soon!
-
PS4 here and no issues at all which shocks me! Played 5 matches so far, 3 on Autohaven and 2 on the new Badham. Runs smooth, no FPS drops or anything. Trying a couple matches as killer to see how that performs. But seems console for once actually has a smooth gameplay.
-
Man, people just can't wait to complain. He's been out 2 hours. You can't expect to just pick him up and turn into a god with him. I've faced 5 so far, and some did resort to camping because they couldn't get anyone, and some literally used the rush to their advantage to get ahead of a possible pallet and use it to smack the survivor and cut them off. At least take the time to learn how to use him. Just because one survivor can easily dodge you, doesn't mean every other survivor will.
-
@yukairi said:
No I don't complaining about the killer kill me just it's unfair for console to play with pc
How is it unfair? They have the same game as console. I just faced several Blights in a row, and I'm PS4. Wasn't that tough to work out how he was going to try attack. Honestly, the killers been out for just under 2 hours officially. At least try practice against him before complaining.
-
I mean, congrats on facecamping? To me, you just lowered yourself to toxic levels. What did you prove here? You facecamped a Laurie with OoO and Flashlight when you could have just ignored her and gone for the others. It was most likely a SWF since I only ever see OoO on those, but still. You just gave that survivor what they wanted really. You showed them that they got to you and they most likely sat and laughed about it. I certainly wouldn't be proud of it honestly because this behaviour is exactly why toxic survivors act the way they do sometimes.
-
I guess it comes down to personal preference. I personally like the look of Felix's outfit, though the shorts need to go! Kates seems a little OTT for my liking. It just looks like she'd trip over in that huge dress trying to run from the killer. Though it does look super nice. May have to get all 3 of them

The reveal issue goes both ways though. I've played as Ghost Face and been revealed after I hid myself behind an object. Just yesterday as a Survivor I was revealing Ghost Face and even after he went around the corner of a building, when I no longer had any vision on him at all, I still revealed him somehow.
I've had these issues myself. Sometimes as GF I'll get the notification, so I'll quickly crouch and hide behind an object, but boom, broken out and the survivor is way off in the distance, so the object should have stopped it. Then there are times the survivor is right there in front of me and I get the slight reveal notification, but it never works. Then as Survivor, the same things. I break him out even if he gets into hiding, or even when he could be leaning from cover, or I can try while mid-chase and despite being 100% in my view, no blocking, it won't break him out. It just feels like GF's reveal is super picky about when it wants to actually work.
-
I currently play with my PS4 controller's right analog stick's axis being somehow broken, despite it being a new controller. Whenever I play killer the camera just randomly starts to go up mid-chase and I sometimes lose track of the survivor that way. Or when trying to use a killer that has to aim (Huntress, PH) the camera screws me and I end up completely whiffing the attack. I mean, I'm adapting, but I can guarantee from the survivor PoV it looked pretty hilarious to see a hatchet just fly into space

Yeah, you totally got them. Instead of them escaping via Hatch, they escape because you DC AND you dont get any BPs AND a Penalty.
Dont get me wrong, DCing for Hatch is stupid, but I dont think that they would be mad if you DC as well, since they got everything they like while you got nothing.
Pretty much this. I get losing a survivor to hatch is a blow, especially when you did so well to get it to that point, but DC'ing just because they're going to get hatch thanks to an offering? Just take the loss and move on. Who cares if you lost 1 survivor. You'd think 4K was required to win the game these days.

No game will ever fix "all" its glitches, but yes, the game is always being optimized and patched.
We don't need and will never get a whole "QOL chapter" just because console players don't understand that the issue with fixing optimization isn't because BVHR is just too busy pumping out chapters to do it.
So what is the excuse for the promised optimization patch that we console players were supposed to get last year, but have nothing but silence on now? Because so far it really does seem that these mediocre killers and survivors are the priority over the 3 consoles they released their game to that need to be optimized. Our FPS is complete garbage at the best of times, but hey, as long as PC is happy I guess?
-
I'm praying to god this doesn't break the game. I'm PS4 and this patch is what I'm dreading with the new graphics. I love them, but if they make the FPS worse, I'm DC'ing those maps every time, penalty or not. I can handle bugs and glitches, but FPS, not a chance.

No, camping should be allowed to exist. It's a strategy in many games for a reason. If your teammates are too altruistic for their own good, that's on them. They already made it harder for killers to camp over the past few years.
I agree with this. I despise camping in any form, but I do accept that it's a valid strategy for some situations. But, there are too many survivors that just try dive bomb a hook. Even when I run kindred and it's obvious the killer is camping, you'll see all 3 crouched nearby not touching a single gen. Whenever I see a camping killer, you can be sure I'm just going to do my gens and leave.
-
Without his add-ons he's incredibly tough to win with. Personally, I let survivors work on gens at the start while I set up. I always try go for a 3 Gen so I try make sure they stay away from my area as I set up. Most times this gives them a false sense of security that they think they'll win easily until they suddenly begin to realise they just 3 Gened, and traps are in every possible entry to the gens. Combine this with the Bloodied Coil so when they attempt to disarm them, they're hurt and boom. Add on the Insta-Down add-on if they free themselves and they soon become paranoid of going near gens again. Doesn't always work but it's a lot of fun seeing survivors trying to figure out how to bypass traps like ninjas or face being injured/downed.
-
Killers are just the same. I play both sides and see it on both. Survivor gets downed fast or they don't like the add-ons/killer/perks, I'm toxic. As survivor, I do gens and save people, block for protection hits, escape, I'm toxic. There's no middle ground in this game anymore. You can't do anything on either side without the other complaining in some way these days.

That's why you need Ghostface, then you can t-bag them afterwards π€£
One main reason I bought him. They T-bag me at a pallet, I T-Bag them on the floor. Karma repaid in full! π
-
I only bought Cheryl's Lisa outfit because I'm a mega SH Fanboy, but I'll not buy the others. I like being able to customise every now and then
-
Welcome to DbD where MM is borked to hell, and there are zero low ranks in existence because ranking as survivor is as easy as holding M1!
Seriously though, it's stupidly easy to rank as survivor so you'll most likely face unfair ranks even at lower ranks as killer. They tried to add Skill-based matchmaking recently, but that borked harder and ended up matching newbies to god skill players. So right now, this is kinda the MM we deal with every day.
-
I've never been a fan of Iri Head personally. There's no counter to it at all. . Billy and LF both have ways to avoid their insta-downs using a loop, same as GF and Oni. Even Deathslingers Insta-down Add-On requires you to spear them from a huge distance, but Huntress can just stay on you with no real cooldown on the hatchet and just insert it into you. The recent video OhTofu did where he tested only using 1 hatchet with the Add-On seemed like a fair use of it imo. Hell, even if they just made it like Deathslingers Iri and made the hatchet need a set distance, that would still be fair to me because Huntress would need to time the shot
-
I had a camping LF last night who was adamant he was taking me to his basement. No matter how far I ran, he kept attempting to take me back. Once he got me there, we spent some quality time staring at each other. I don't mind being camped. I just wish the survivors that decide to hover directly above us would actually go do something productive.

The challenge has been the bane of my existence.
Apparently all the other survivors I play against can't help themselves but bm the Killer and somehow I'm usually the person who gets forced out.
Once I even sacrificed myself and let the killer down and hook me only to see other two just waiting at exit and it was only after I had died and the killer went to go check up on the butt dance show did they leave
Oh I feel your pain. I've literally tried to make the killer chase me toward the gate in hopes he'll kick the others out and they still insist on t-bagging away while I'm being carried off. I swear some of them know what challenge you're doing!
-
@KingFrost said:
Challenges I think require too much:
-Finish repairing 4 generators with the perk Dark Sense in a single trial
-Sacrifice 4 Survivors in the basement. In one trial.
-Escape 1 trial using No Mither
-Grab 1 survivor from a locker using the perk Iron Maiden
-Hide within 10 meters of the killer without being caught for 60 seconds as Dwight
-Escape 1 trial when your next time on the hook would immediately sacrifice you as Kate Denson
-Hit survivors 5 times in a single use of Feral Frenzy
-15 hatchet hits in a single trial
Just to add to that: Heroic Virtue.
Every single match, they all stand there in the exit gate taunting and T-Bagging and not leaving. It's so frustrating when they need to leave before I can for this stupid challenge, which ends up with me dead on hook because of them.
-
I mean, Devotion 6 at Level 98. That's 698 levels gained. Anyone could amass that amount of Add-Ons without using them in that much playtime. Doesn't mean they got hacked into the game.

You never got boosted red ranks in your matches? Sorry don't buy that for a second. Unless you only ever play 4 man swf.
I didn't say I never got them, I literally state in the 2nd sentence boosted was all I got. I don't touch SWF. Solo player.
-
I would maybe try not focus too much on ranking up and just try practice the best you can with killers. It's easier said than done for sure. BHVR really needs to add some kind of a practice mode similar to KYF but just AI instead. It gives new and old players a safe place to practice and learn the killer. I mean, we all know how god damn awful it is when you get a new killer and you just get bulldozed, especially if that killer has already been out a while and everyones got counters to it before you've had a chance to learn it.

Nice generalization btw
Well I'm PS4 so I just call it like I see it is all. It was literally all I got in my lobbies before Cross-Play got activated
-
Because PS4 is full of potatoes. Before Cross-Play I only ever got boosted Red ranks in my matches and every time, they'd stand in a corner and Self-Care or refuse to be healed so they could go do it themselves. I even ran Empathy for a while to try help people but nope. It got to a point I stopped healing people because they were just making zero effort to do anything but self-care. With Cross-Play I still see it from some PC players and Xbox/Switch, but far far less.
-
I'm on EU servers myself and I get pretty much Survivor lobbies under 1 min during the day, but up to 10 mins as killer. Once night comes around, surviovr queues leap up to near 15 minutes waiting, but killer becomes instant. It's usually at night you see far more SWF appearing as during the day which in turn makes it harder for people to get a lobby
-
The Cheryl and PH outfits I feel were locked together because of Konami personally. As for the others, it never made sense why they did that. BHVR know that we all customize the way our survivors and killers look so it seemed like a really crappy move to do it. I like the outfits they've done so far but I hate that they're linked and can't be worn with something else.
-
Seems his power is still 'Pinball and Smash' so hopefully they at least tweaked the hitbox to be less clunky when touching thin air. But, I guess we'll have to wait and see just how good (Or bad) he is in the live game.
