Blight isn't as bad as he seems. He's very high skill to get the rush down. Yes, Billy and Oni can down in 1, and both move fast, but the difference between those 2 are, they have to stop to make a sharp turn. Blight can just hit a wall, and turn, then rush right back at you. Oni has to collect blood with relies on him being able to hit someone first, where Blight has access to his ability at any time. Blight might not be able to insta-down but he can recover fast enough to catch up to someone and smack them, where other killers would have to regain distance and most likely have to deal with a loop.
-
It's still the same 60 seconds from Stage 1 to 2, then Stage 2 to death. Unless you're in basement and the killer used Monstrous Shrine which does cause you to hit struggle/death faster.
-
I've only just hit 50 today and no challenges done on the 4th set, but it's going to be a serious grind if I want 70, which I'm still undecided on. I saw in another post a while back a fantastic tip for levels. The Rift lasts 70 days, the same amount of levels it contains. So you can just earn at least 1 level per day and you're guaranteed to get 70.

Tip: Empathy + We'll Make It + Kindred. Go for unhooks, take protection hits, and play Nurse (Nurse as in healing, not as in the killer, though blinking would be useful)
Honestly glad you meant healing, because I absolutly suck as Nurse. I'm worse than a potato with her. I usually run Kindred and a healing perk but I'll try that combo. I just want to get these challenges done for the rift so I may have to throw a few games for it, so if anyone get's matched with me, I apologise in advance for it!
-
I can't even get past the first challengs of either side. Can't get Devout because I keep getting super Altruistic survivors, and can't get survivors because killers are going crazy tunnel-vision on everyone. Fun times lie ahead!
-
It's really not that great. I've had situations where the add-on turned me to look at a LoS blocker, and that's kind of useless. It can be good in areas that aren't packed with objects, but I like to be able to plan where I want to go. Just because it looks at the survivor, doesn't mean you'll get a hit everytime.
-
It's an online game. It's to be expected these days. I see it in every multiplayer game I play. Someones losing? DC. Someone didn't get what they want? DC. DbD example: Got hit first? DC. Don't like the killer? DC. It seems to be the mentality of many players now that if they don't have something go the way they want, they'll just quit. It makes zero sense because what do they really gain from leaving early? For all they know the match could turn around instantly. But I mainly feel sorry for the killer in these situations because at that point, if they continue as normal, they're in the wrong for playing. But if they don't, they lose pips, de-rank and that's not really fun for anyone.
-
I thought it was just me imagining it but I've noticed hooks are way further apart than usual. And it's even worse when the survivors use an offering to increase the distance. Tie that in alongside the new hook bug that refuses to hook them, and you've got yourself a GG from survivors!
-
I wouldn't put stock into leaks until they've been proven confirmed. If they are planning rank reset rewards, chances are it would come mid-chapter patch, or next DLC drop
-
II never camp during my matches, I just don't feel it's needed. If I'm going to lose, then I'll accept it. The only time I did was when a Nea t-bagged EVERY pallet she dropped against me as GF, so I facecamp T-Bagged her for the remainder of her life. Looking back, it was pretty low of me to do and I do regret doing it, but it was kind of a heat of the moment thing.
-
I know your pain. I downed a survivor earlier at a pallet but he made zero sound, along side the delayed down location and he had tenacity so I completely lost him when I had to break the pallet. You just gotta love DbD some days.
-
I've been playing since Cross-Play has been active, and not once have I ran into a PC hacker. PC Cheating isn't that frequent so where you're getting the 1 in 3 games from is beyond me. Like others have said, they've played PC for thousands of hours and encountered only a couple of them in the entire time they played.
-
Sounds like my last game honestly. Had a 4-man SWF on PS4 against me as Blight. 10 seconds in, my Undying works wonders when I see a Nancy quietly enter a locker, then a David did the same. Combine this with Compound 21 and they couldn't hide without me spotting them. 2 DC and the other 2 gave up. Post game messages, I got called a hacker, cheat, trash, tunneler, camper. I mean, Perks and Add-ons should be explanation enough to why I could find them easily. But nope, it's easier to blame the killer than themselves I guess.
-
It's because MMR is still running in the background, even though it's currently off for MM right now.
-
He isn't terrible once you get the hang of him for sure, but it does require a lot of practice. I've tried for 3 days straight now and still suck. Not only that, but his POV is garbage. Yamaoka, Badham, Swamp and any Coldwind are pure hell. You can't see over the grass or through corn, you lose survivors, and bouncing on Coldwind maps is near impossible in the corn areas. I've lost so many survivors simply because I couldn't see over an obstacle. The POV has got to be wrong, because even when the match begins, the camera goes into his chest, not his head like normal killers. And then there's his add-ons. Mainly, Compound 21. I love it because it does help when trying to bounce attack, but for a green add-on it does seem far too powerful. It should be at least purple IMO if it reveals them after slamming. But overall, he's not bad, but not great. Here's hoping they fix the POV at least and maybe tweak his turning too for leathal rushes.
-
I was having invisible skill checks back when PH got released. And it was always super early into a match. The skill check would appear then suddenly disapear and I'd be literally wandering around with nothing to do because no matter what, I couldn't hit skill checks. I've never seen the unreachable totem though, but I have seen pictures of it. More bugs to add to the ever growing list.

These are cosmetic leaks, which means these cosmetics were found in the game files.
The game files don't lie. Those cosmetics exist and will be released eventually.
Again, not exactly proof. There are many things in the game files that are unused, cosmetics are some of them. So again, until it's confirmed, it's still just a leak.

oh, they took it down again?
guess killers decided to channel their inner survivor main and DC
Yep, it's been down for a few days after hackers repeated the same thing again.

A crown for Felix and Blight have already been leaked:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/FQGGGYCB2MP3/20200910-114414.jpg
It's a leak, not a confirmation though. I don't beleive a leak until it's proven true.
-
No DC Penalty is active is the most likely reason
-
I actually wish I could encounter this as killer, just so I could Franklin's someone and cause drama. It'd be more entertaining to watch than actually chase them.
-
You kinda answered your own question there at the end. 4th anniversary. They were a limited time cosmetic, so it's very doubtful anyone after that event will get a crown now, unless the do it again for the 5th anniversary.
-
Survivor's are supposed to have footsteps?! Joking aside, I've not heard it myself, and I just had a sound bug on Badham when hooking survivors, the hook sounded like it was underground and the Feng I hooked sounded like she was on the other side of the map. But, just another day in DbD I guess.
-
Don't let people ever make you feel that way. People who go out of their way to make others feel like that are lower than low. Nobody should be made to feel like that when they're just trying to play and have fun. I can imagine Switch is much tougher than PS4/Console where we always get 360'ing and I know how you feel. It does get to you, but try just enjoy yourself. Don't focus too much on getting kills/winning. Just enjoy the game and ignore the toxic players. You're better than them 100%! 😀

Ghostface takes out his camera and snaps a picture.
For pig, I'm not sure what would be a good animation, but being able to play the billy laugh on command could be neat.
Huntress could use her finger to see how sharp the hatchet is
I love the idea of Ghostface just peeking around a corner and snapping a picture, or even doing his wave from the trailer. I wouldn't be able to take the match seriously anymore at that point because GF is already so lovable!
-
It's funny because the first few matches I attempted Adept, they all brought a key, or found one in the match. I gave up on Adept after that but it really is frustrating when you know your so close to it considering you need a near perfect game
-
I mean, they also do it without Dead Hard so...
-
I'd say pallets are pretty good. Pools of blood are pretty obvious and easily avoided but they can be handy to slow down a loop, but if a survivor has no idea that pallet was already destroyed, as I've done many times, their safety is gone and it's a free hit.
-
That's a terrible idea. The point of having access to all perks is for players to discover a playstyle to suit them. Not only that, but what would the point of leveling past 10 be? You'd be locking them from their 4th perk till they rank up. The reason people complain isn't because of the amount of perks, but the fact it's a mega grindfest to get them all on one single character, nevermind the others.
-
I wouldn't mind it honestly. Whenever I hear that carnival theme music it gives me chills, mainly because I HATE clowns. So having a map like that, or extended in Campbells chapel would be pretty cool for the creepiness factor.

Getting the PTB on consoles has been asked for many times, and i believe the stated reason why they cannot do it is because they are literally changing game files. Whenever they do that (say for patches or new chapters)it all had to be sent to Sony or Microsoft for approval. And that can take several days or even weeks to get. I imagine Nintendo would be the same.
I can't speak for Sony since I don't know any games with a PTB style server but Xbox does have Sea of Thieves own test server for their updates, so if Microsoft has one of their own licensed games doing it, I don't see why it wouldn't be possible. But, I do understand the approval thing, which personally I think is pretty stupid really. But, I guess that's just the gaming industry these days.
-
I've never liked exhaustion perks honestly. I feel like once I've used them I become reliant on them, rather than my own skill during a chase. I feel like doing that has helped me really learn the maps better, rather than using, for example, Lithe or Dead Hard to try get somewhere faster in hopes of a loop. When I play killer, I do see people use them well of course, but I notice more misusing them, Dead Harding from fear of a hit, but runs into a wall anyway, or trying to Sprint Burst at the last second, only to be hit anyway.
-
Have to agree. The first night I despised him, though I was only facing SWF and high skill players so it was getting me frustrated. Now, I've had a little more practice and I actually enjoy him. I think it was more the frustration of not being able to get downs or anything that clouded my judgement. Now, I just love bouncing all over and messing around. Also, I think I've become addicted to Compound 21. That thing is so helpful in planning my bounces I can't live without it! 😁
-
I've had it since the DLC release. It seems to be super picky about when it works and doesn't. I've had matches where I hooked fine, then others where survivors wiggled free because it wouldn't hook. I think it's affecting a ton of people but still no word on a fix.
-
Break out the tin-foil hats guys. We got us a conspiracy! The Devs are shadow nerfing survivors! Seriously OP, it's called bugs, not secret nerfs. And Badham's map was changed graphically so of course certain things are going to look different now.

If you know any better, you should enlist into BHVR as a developer and help them fix things faster and make things better.
What has that got to do with anything? The fact is we all paid full retail price, or sale price, for a game, then all the DLC, and maybe cosmetics. So we kinda expect a game to work, especially after 4 years. Your argument is null. It's like someone buys a fridge/freezer from a shop, gets home and only the freezer section works. I guess I'm an engineer or something because I clearly know the fridge section should work and it doesn't. Why defend BHVR when the game is nothing but a bug fest every 3 months, and we get no fixes until the next DLC release, which in turn adds more bugs. We have a PTB that seems just to be for show and hype because anything reported as an issue there clearly just gets slammed into the live game.
-
Survivors are also clearly getting confused because there has been mulitple times someone tried to flashlight, clearly aiming at my head, but they realise too late it's not working. So that clearly shows the camera is in the wrong spot to me.

Rewards. They should be able to see who logs into the ptb how often and how many matches are played and how much feedback a person provides.
like, if you play a certain time or provide a certain amount of helpful feedback (as in how helpful it is, not the sheer wordcount), you might get a unique cosmetic for a character of your choice, maybe ranging from charms over outfit pieces to a full set. maybe even awarding top testers with auric cells
and the aforementioned items that would enable players to see stuff they can't see on the live servers. our monkey brains are weird like that. give survivors a tool to e.g. see totems without a perk and they're more likely to check if they can cleanse it.
another thing to do would be to enable a chat between all players during a match. we're here to test, after all.
Yeah, agree with that. I know some other games when they do a sort of beta test of upcoming updates, they do reward players with unique rewards for finding/testing bugs and features. If DbD did that, they'd probably have more people trying to break the game because of the possibility they'll get a unique reward that wouldn't be obtainable otherwise.
-
Gotta agree, tiers just make the game needlessly grindy. I've been playing for 2 years now and each time they release a new survivor I dread the repeat. I hate having to try grind 1M BP, keep challenges and Dailys ready just to 'try' get perks I want/need on survivors/killers. It's at the point now that I just level the new characters for teachables, then go back to my other characters that already have every perk, which is kinda counter-productive when I pay for a DLC but never use that character again.
-
It may be an optimal build for you, but not everyone enjoys playing those perks. Everyone has their own opinion on what is optimal for them. One build could be pure garbage to another. It's all a matter of opinion really. Though, that build is a good one, for me personally, I find it quite boring. Each to their own though, so if you enjoy using that build, more power to you! 😀
-
One issue I've noticed is, that once everyones had their fun with new survivors/killers, the PTB dies. It lasts maybe 2 days and they're gone. They do need to add some kind of incentive to keep people playing it. Another thing, they should try get it into console. I'm PS4 myself, so I don't get access to the PTB, but if they made it console-accessible, there would be a ton more players to test the issues, and it would make it easier to identify issues since PC and Console may have seperate issues.
-
I like him, but I feel like his Leathal rush lunge could be tweaked. There have been times I've been on a direct hit on a survivor but because they move slightly away I just fly right by. If it had a little more turn it wouldn't be so bad, but overall, he's not a bad killer. He just needs a lot of practice getting times down on rushing and a bit of map knowledge to know where to bounce and rush for maximum use from the charges.
-
I never really understood the whole 'Gen rush' arguments. I mean, survivors are just doing their job. And before someone calls me a survivor main, because it ALWAYS happens for having an opinion, you could say the exact same for killers. Are they 'kill rushing' if they down everyone fast? No, because it's their objective. We can't be at 4 places at once, so gens are going to get done regardless. It just depends on how you play. I notice when I play survivor you'll see the killer just focus soley on one survivor for far too long, then when 2-3 gens are gone before they've even hooked, they complain. I've done it myself in matches as killer, but I've learned from that mistake. If you focus far too much on a single chase, of course gens are being done because what's stopping them? But, let's face it. People will always find some way to complain over things in this game for both sides. There's no pleasing everyone unfortunatly.
-
I think it just depends on the time of day. For me, I'm on EU servers so during the day it's pretty much instant survivor queues and killer is around 5-10 mins but once it hits after 5-6PM, survivor becomes up to 10 minutes, where killer becomes instant. I guess more people enjoy killer more during the day which is understandable because I notice that more SWF tend to play later in the day
-
I used to use them, mainly Lithe or Dead Hard but I felt like I was relying on them too much to escape a chase. I like using perks that can help others out to escape, so stuff like We'll Make It, Botany and my personal favourite Blood Pact which has helped so many times. I feel people rely far too heavily on exhaustion perks and most times, at least from my experience, they down within seconds of using it anyway.
-
I've had this since the update on PS4. Sometims it lets me instant hook, others it acts like someones lagging on me. I've even had SWF teams take advantage of it and sabo the hook in my face knowing I couldn't get someone on the hook. Don't you just love DbD?
-
Really? We're now complaining because a characters boobs don't jiggle? There are serious bugs in the game and issues on both sides, but yeah, focus on Kate's boobs not moving. The nerve of BHVR!
-
You have to remember, everyone has different skill levels. So Blight might be easy for you, but others might find him tough. He does have a high skill level for sure, and I'm still holding out hope I can get better, but the problem lies in that we can't exactly practice well when we're placed against SWF or high skill players. I didn't like Blight at all at first, but I'm slowly getting the timing down, but he's still very clunky to use, especially on console. I'll keep trying, but it does get to a point that you just kinda say enough is enough and go back to what we know we can use well.
-
I'm in the same boat. Used shards because I wouldn't pay actual money for this killer. Don't get me wrong, he is a lot of fun, but the high skill-cap combined with very awkward control on console just makes it so damn difficult for a single health state. I don't even struggle this hard with Billy or Oni and I'm not that great with them. Most times I'll try leathal rush the survivors and just fly right on by while the hit animation continues to finish itself. It feels like you need a pinpoint accuracy to even touch them. Add-ons help of course, but I shouldn't need to use Add-ons to help me. Add-ons are supposed to be there to boost my power, not crutch me along because I can't hit someone. I'll keep practicing him a little more but so far, I Feel this is another killer I'll soon forget about and never use again.
-
I'm honestly glad I didn't pay actual money for this killer because on PS4 it's a joke. You're lucky to even hit a single person with rush. The perks are mediocre at best and one (Dragon's Breath) doesn't bother to notify you when a survivor touched the gen, despite them supposedly screaming. I've depipped 4 ranks because of this killer. Even his Rush ability is mediocre. Sometimes it lets you hit a wall, sometimes it decides to just let you slide along it and completely refuse to bounce. Even when it does, sometimes it just refuses to run again and you get a stun. The graphic update was nice, but that's literally all I enjoyed from this chapter. If this is the quality of killer and survivor we can expect for original designs, I'll not be buying anymore in the future
