  • It's bugged with Clown that's for sure. Got 8K from just constantly tossing bottles at survivors, and it only counted about 5K worth of the points. Survivor counted fine so it seems it's just the Deviousness counter that's bugged out.

  • You also gotta remember, that this is only PC. Xbox and PS4 don't get included into this mix. But, it is pretty telling.

Also, just an update on that same chart: The last 30 days has lost near 9K players on PC alone.

  • I do this to prove a point when I play killer. You crawl under the hook? Watch your teammate die for your stupidity.

  • I tried to get a friend of mine to join the game recently. With Cross-Play active, and it being on Game Pass on Xbox, I suggested he give it a try since I'm on PS4. He had maybe 3-4 matches and quit completely. His final match consisted of a SWF team with 2 Red ranks and a Rank 18 essentially leaving him to die on hook while they just stood and teabagged him. I honestly wish I could have told him that was a one off thing, but it really isn't. I see it far too often where 'teammates' act like this. It's sad that people will activly push new players away for their own amusement.

Ok if you are playing this game for two years and don't understand how to counter these strats you are doing something very wrong.

In this case I am not going to bother trying to help you because you are unhelp-able. (Yes, "unhelp-able" is totally a real word, I didn't just make up."

I know how to counter them thanks. BT, DS. The usual, but it doesn't stop a killer whos determined to tunnel.

Incorrect, and is a blatant assertion that is illogical.

If this is your mindset, I understand why you think tunneling or even camping is unfair.

Mainly, as you aren't playing the game right.

I propose you are a new player?

Never said it was unfair. And no, Not new. Been playing for 2 years now and usually in Red ranks. I call what I see in my matches. Survivor is unhooked, survivor is redowned, survivor DS's then is redowned and hooked. Repeat until death. Not a mindset at all.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/200194/tunnel-champs

If you are getting tunneled then ask yourself why and take them on a chase, if they keep following you they aren't doing gens.

Then if you lose them don't do what made them tunnel you unless you have to.

You realise that these days, you just breathe wrong and you get tunneled for it. There is no reason in this game anymore. No obsession? Tunneled. You looked at the killer? Tunneled. Touched that gen? Tunneled. The game has become a camp/tunnelfest. There are no reasons anymore.

  • I just play him for the fun, rather than wins. He's still tough to use during a chase since you can't see past someones knees and LoS blockers are a real pain with him, but he's still pretty fun. And since they've confirmed in the livestream today they're finally changing his PoV at some point in the future, he'll be more fun to use!

  • Anytime I get survivors like this and theres only one of them doing a gen, I make it my sole mission to hunt down the other one doing absolutly nothing and watch them die on hook. The remaining survivor who was actually attempting to do something gets either hatch, or they can leave through the gates. I cannot stand people who hide to get a 'free escape' and let someone else die for it.

Something is telling me this "doing something about the event" is just gonna be something stupid like bloodpoint codes or whatever, they can't implement serum now the "event" is ending on the 3rd

Chances are they'll just extend the event like they did with the 4th Aniversary. I don't see why they couldn't just add a temp currency since it's not like they haven't had the serum currency in the game before. Seems as simple as copy and paste from the past event and off you go.

  • This is how I play the game these days. I usuallly 1 hook everyone so I get points, they get points for rescue/healing and then I just proceed to mess around with them, usually peeking out from behind boxes and just generally messing around. I stopped caring about winning since people are far too serious with the game these days, and I like to think, by my simple act of having some fun, they can know there are still decent people out there just wanting to enjoy themselves.

Please BHVR she's the worst killer in the game :(

Worst? No. Not even close. An average Nurse will struggle to get a 4K. A Nurse who has her skills down to a T will not be gentle with you. I've seen some terrible Nurses, and I've seen some serious god level Nurses. She is far from worst in the game!

  • I honestly laughed at this response. The only people who run OoO are players who are trying to Adept Laurie, and SWF. And they don't escape often because ANY killer who sees it in their lobby facecamps said survivor to death. Granted I don't see it as much as before, but it's always a SWF that uses it, never a solo player.

  • If they do stay in the game after halloween, that kind of breaks the whole lore of the game. Pestula only spawns once per year from the Entity. It even says it in their own lore this Tome so... Who knows. Maybe they'll stay and the lore will be re-written to account for everlasting flowers.

The load in thing is funny my oni had no mask or hair. Also I never said they were the best and my whole point is that they deserve credit for what they have done. Dont come in talking about whiteknighting, a white knight doesn't openly criticize like I did. I pointed out things that people don't realize. And yeah it has been a train wreck recently, but plenty of games have been.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not denying they have done good work, but releasing patch after patch that breaks the game, then waiting another few weeks before even doing anything isn't acceptable from a business point of view. We all bought the game as a finished product, yet every patch it feels like we're playing some kind of beta that has issues everyday. I've played games where updates broke something, but the game was then hotfixed after a day or two. Theres no excuse for waiting weeks to fix issues in the game.

  • Insanely bad on PS4 at the match start, then it just randomly stutters. I've died 3 times on hook because the framerate lagged out and skipped me pressing X. Lery's was a complete nightmare. The main room, once active, was like a slideshow of pictures of how bad it became.

  • I'm sorry, but are you seriously trying to defend the devs over the current train wreck the game is becoming? I respect your opinion, I do, but please stop white knighting for them. This game has been out for 4 years. If it was the first few months, and the devs were fairly new at developing the game, then I'd give them a pass for the issues. But no. It's 4 years. If they seriously can't code a single patch to not break everything in the game at this point, theres something seriously wrong. There's supposed to be a QA department, yet they must be sleeping during work hours because the current state of the game shows they tested little. PS4 currently has the most broken FPS right now. Then side this along with the fact sounds are yet again, broken, the game loads in with a killer standing in a weird broken pose. The 'event' is basically another day where we have to spend money. So, yes, mistakes can be made, but 4 years worth? No. I don't think so.

  • I'm pretty disapointed in this event honestly. I wouldn't of cared if the reward was just a charm or a single skin. Just something that says 'I was here'. I mean, sure, we have Flashlights and Med-Kits but that's not something that lasts forever. You die or use it up, it's gone. The only part of the whole 'event' I like is the Ghostface skin, since he's my main killer I use and it looks amazing, but I'm not going to hand over money for a skin at this point when zero effort is being put into the game. I'd be happy to throw money at the game if it was stable and bug free, but it's not and at this point, I'll not spend another penny on it until the devs get their acts together.

Not to be mean but it doesn't take that long, a minute at most and that's if you don't use key shortcuts. With key shortcuts it takes around 40 secs.

If you think you can beat a PC player to entering a code that is 1 time use only, go for it. Console can't type 80 words per minute like a keyboard can. Console have to literally move to each letter to enter it. PC press a single button and it's entered. So who do you think gets the code first?

  • I came back after a few weeks of a break because on top of players sweating it out every match, the bugs were just out of control. I came back for the halloween event expecting a fun event, but no. No real event, beyond challenges that act like the event. Sound doesn't play upon entering a match. Killers TR is sometimes missing. Killers can be heard from the oppisite side of the map. Breakable doors just poof from existence when broken. Killers load into the match in weird positions. And to top it off, PS4 is bordering the unplayable mark with the frame rate stutter. I honestly wish I could request a refund from Sony for this trainwreck at this point, but since it's been over a year that won't happen, but I will be abandoning this game for good soon because this is just unacceptable for a 4 year old game.

  • This explains why when I loaded into a match as Ghostface he stood looking like a zombie with his arms just stretched out in front of him.

  • I used to do it to survivors who messed up on a Gen with me, then it became a war of crouching and pointing at each other. Those were the fun days.

@Rizzo90 not everyone can record their matches, and not every match is a hacker. Behavior needs to step up, and get the data from the DEDICATED servers which has everything that is happening, and stop relying and demanding recordings from people that 1) don't know how to record their matches, 2) don't have the pc capable of playing the game and recording, 3) don't have the programs it takes to record their matches. Before dedicated servers Behavior had access to very limited bits of information as it was point to point, but with dedicated servers they have access to all the information they need.

I agree they should be reported and when a report is issued, the server should transmit the match data to Behavior for analysis and review for the report. if the data is not needed it can be deleted at that point. HOWEVER I do agree that if someone can offer video evidence of the "hack" or actions this should be taken into consideration as well. I keep telling behavior this same bit of information when i report someone, I can't just start my obs up and click record to record a single time that I see a hack or issue in the game that will be over by the time I get obs up.

This along with responses to those that do report, it would go far to get people to accept that behavior takes reports seriously instead of just ignoring them. No information should be given about the results but that action or appropriate action has been taken. this simple email to those that take the time to fill out a report ticket and even sometimes submit videos for them would go a long way to start repairing the idea that behavior ignores all reports unless you're a fog whisperer.

This. I play PS4, and encountered a Survivor hacking while I was survivor myself. I can record via the PS4 share option, but beyond that, I can't just upload the video to BHVR's site since it's on my console with no way for me to get it from there. I could use a memory stick or something, but I shouldn't have to go through a ton of hoops just to be able to report. Not only that, but this survivor was also on another platform, PC most likely, and I can't access their Steam account to get their ID or anything else. And in-game reporting doesn't seem to prove if anything happens. There needs to me more measures in place for this kind of this, especially after 4 years.

  • I always thought it was Spirit and Freddy who everyone hated, but these days it's hard to tell who the hate train is landing on. Seems to change every week.

  • Didn't they get removed because they were glitched or something? I used to love them because back then, I didn't have a ton of DLC so it let me test out those DLC killers and see if I wanted to buy them or not. It was a shame they removed them because it was a fantastic way to 'trial' a paid killer before you outright buy it.

  • A 4-man SWF with 4 keys as Blight that I didn't realise they brought until the last minute. Looking back, it was pretty funny, but at the time it wasn't! It was my first match with him on release, so I was absolute garbage. It was all PC players with me on PS4. I managed to 1 hook everyone and noticed one was holding a key so I started to panic a little because gens were dropping like flies around me and at this point, didn't realise everyone else had a key. Got to the final gen and exits activate. So I find one sitting on hatch and knew they were going to use it. So they escape and I close it. Panic over in my mind, now to go to the gates. Neither was touched so I was questioning why. Saw someone running toward hatch so I chased after them, and boom, hatch opens again and I reclose it. Just as I turn, a survivor has just turned up and reopens hatch and escapes. So at this point, I was kind of foaming and slammed the hatch closed once more. I walk away and see the survivor standing watching me and notice the 4th key. At this point, I just let them get the hatch because I was screwed. I didn't hold it against them because it was funny how it all happened, and my own fault for not seeing the keys. My lesson was don't wander away from the TV when in a lobby!

  • I mean, the crows worked as intented. You stood still for too long so you got classed as AFK. Maybe just accept a chase instead of playing the part of a tree?

  • Whenever I have a match and I get stomped hard as killer, when a survivor says GG afterwards, I just take it as a sign of respect. They could have easily taunted and badmouthed to rub it in, but a simple GG, WP goes a long way for me. These are the kinds of people I prefer to play with. I always give them a GG back, and wish them luck in their next match.

  • I swear sometimes spawns are broken. Sometimes I can't find anyone until a gen pops somewhere, then others I step 5 feet forward and someones right there on me. It's crazy at times.

  • The only time I do it is if the timer is still pretty high and the survivor is close to getting me off. I still need the trophy so I may as well try. Though, I have seen people do it in my face and hit struggle, which at that point I just walk away. I don't mind you trying when you aren't 3 seconds from stage 2, but put yourself into stage 2, and I'll leave you in it.

  • I don't get it myself honestly. I remember seeing a post a while back where someone contacted Microsoft for the Xbox version asking about the Cross-Progression, and they literally responded with 'It's down to the developers because we're all for getting games accessiable to many platforms. It's basically a switch they press to activate it from their end'. So to me, it seems like they're just using this new Stadia thing since it went free on there to 'hype' the game and avoiding console and PC Cross-Progression until that hype is dead.

  • I'm sorry, but there's no defending the devs for me at this point. Yes, the quarantine has messed up a LOT of gaming and delayed a lot of things, but I'm going to give you a prime example here. Final Fantasy 14, the online MMO was due to release a patch for it's newest DLC Shadowbringers. The whole pandemic hit when it was due to release. So, do you think the devs of FF14 decided, meh, let's just throw it out, we'll fix it later. No, they announced to the entire community that it was to be delayed because of the working from home issue and that they wanted to release it in a fixed state. Yes, you can argue that Square Enix is a huge company, but the fact stands, they WAITED to release their content, despite it being delayed for months before it did release so they could make sure it was working correctly. So what's the devs excuse? They could have easily said 'Ok, so we gotta delay this upcoming DLC/Patch due to issues' but no. They didn't. They continue to rush patches and DLC out the door. How many in this community have said repeatedly that we would be perfectly happy to have a delay on DLC or patches if it meant we get a fix to the issues. So, not to be rude, but get off your high horse for BHVR because their actions have spoken loud and clear to many in this community.

  • You think Thana was a buff? Have you ever used that perk? Without the slowdown on healing, it's now useless. You wouldn't get people injured for the full debuff because without the healing penalty, they're back to full health before you even smack a second survivor. They added a whole 1%, which chances are you won't see activate much. Sure, the PH changes are good, that I agree with as a PH main. It was needed. But if you think these changes are good, then I question what you think is bad honestly.

  • I've been debating this exact situation for a couple weeks now myself. My friend who used to SWF with me now abandoned the game because of the constant tunneling, Mori's, etc. We used to play for a couple hours a night together just for fun, but even that isn't possible with how killers are playing these days. Solo queues are a complete nightmare. I either get lucky with a semi-competent set of players, or complete potatoes that throw every pallet they physically see, or divebomb hook in front of the killer. Playing killer has become painful too, with constant DS, Unbreakable combos everywhere or SWF acting toxic every game. I don't tunnel, never have, never will, and I always try to keep the game fair and fun for everyone, but it's become a joke seeing it every single game. I'll probably force myself to grind out my last few tiers of the rift to get my moneys worth, but after that, I think this game is going to be shelved for some time until some serious changes happen.

  • There's more than one map?! I just repeatedly get sent to Coldwind. I started just assuming DbD wiped the others from existence! Seriously, I'm so sick of Coldwind now. I literally scream with joy when a survivor sends me to another place, even if it is Ormand! It's better than seeing corn every second of the game!

  • That's not a buff, that's freaking overkill. It just needs to affect a larger area than 16m to work decently. Making pallets unusable is way too OP, especially if you tie it into Undying. You'd never win as survivor again unless you got stupid lucky at a loop

  • Pretty sure that quote is directly from RE3 from the start of the game. As much as I'd love to see it in DbD, I doubt it would come. I suppose it just comes down to Capcom and how much they would want to do it. Maybe with Resistance failing as hard as it did, they could give DbD a chance to use their characters. I mean, Silent Hill managed to make it's way into the game, but that wasn't much of a shock since Konami butchered SH many years ago and most likely just saw easy money.

  • One of my best moments was against a 4-man SWF on Lery's. I was playing GF and for about 3 minutes, no gen was touched so I started wondering what the hell was going on. I thought they were stealthing around hiding or something. Turns out they made a 'conga' through the corridoors. I joined in and we spent about 20 minutes just messing around with each other. Honestly, one of the most fun matches I'd played in a long time. The downside was they were PC so we couldn't add or message each other after the match since I'm PS4. But I hope to see those guys again someday.

  • Kinda disapointed in this perk 'buff' now. Sure, the healing sounds good and everything, but it still falls down to praying someone doesn't beat you to the hook first. I am garbage at flashlight saves, and pallet saves are situational. I don't get why they didn't make it so if you heal someone from dying, it stacks. You did just save them from being hooked after all.

  • Really confused how you think you were nice when the first sentence reads:

'Was nice to the survivors, only tunneled one to get them out the game'

Maybe that's why the survivors acted the way they did? You tunneled a single survivor from the game so the other survivors are obviously going to act the way they did.

  • I was really looking forward to Cybil being a skin since SH1 is my childhood favourite, and I always loved her, but jesus christ BHVR. Do you just enjoy making your characters look like drug addicts?

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

Honestly, I think it should be reduced to between 8 or 4m. That way if this strategy is attempted, they BOTH risk injury or being downed.

I'd prefer this over 16m. Kindred at T3 is 16m, and that's a pretty huge area around the hook you're on. So Blood Pact using this same effect on a survivor feels like it's a mess just waiting to be abused.

  • I find it pretty disgusting that we live in a time that people think it's prefectly fine to send death threats, regardless of circimstance. I despise people who condemn people to death. There's no logical reason to do it. Especially when you lose on a game. Sure, we've all been there, we got super angry because we lost, but not once have I ever felt the need to tell someone to do that. Might be my age is a thing, since I'm early 30's now, and I didn't have online gaming till I was about 20, but it seems far too many kids in the current generation think it's fine to threaten everyone across the internet. Hell, I had a kid threaten me over Among Us yesterday because I beat him. He proceeded to death threat me, my family and began using sexual assault as insults. If this is the way people think they should act, I really do fear for the future of this planet.

  • Look at it this way. You spend up to 10 minutes waiting in a lobby. You get in. You get slugged for 2-3 mins. You die first hook. Was that entertaining? I don't care if a killer wants to slug, but the fact is, I do enjoy some kind of interaction with my game I just waited for. Sitting on the floor bleeding out is the most boring thing to have a survivor do. The same can be said when survivors decide to stealth for hatch. Does a killer enjoy that when they spend the next 10 minutes praying a survivor will mess up? No, because it's boring and no interaction.

  • @MadLordJack said:

I think it's a nice start. I'm excited for Trail of Torment, especially, and Blood Pact. I don't think the Pop nerf is particularly... Smart. It's not going to affect the problem users, namely mobility killers, so it's just a nerf to the killers that actually needed it. However, with the new Ruin/Undying mobility killers probably aren't even using Pop any more so we'll see.

Wait, as I'm writing this I'm realising how OP blood Pact is about to become. Chasing a 107 survivor because their SWF buddy is near? Okay, yeah, maybe gonna have to nerf that. Wow, I actually didn't think about that til just now. Depending on how big 16m ends up being in terms of looping the same tile, that could be a huge problem.

I thought the same for Blood Pact. At first I was like, ok yeah that seems pretty decent since I use it all the time as a Solo player, but then I thought, hang on. Staying within 16m. So an example: I heal the Obsession, they get buffed. We're at Killer shack. In theory I could just sit in basement/locker and let the obsession run the killer around because they have infinite speed boost? Then there is also the SWF aspect you mention. Those 2 could remain together at all times and you'd never catch them without hitting Bloodlust tiers. Hopefully PTB sheds some light on wether it is OP or not.

  • I don't see what the big deal is. I main PH and honestly, I'm glad they're changing it. I doubt it's going to be a major slowdown, but I'm hoping it's enough to at least let survivors have a chance to dodge at a pallet drop. It just feels stupidly unskilled when I just smack them with POTD when they're animation locked. At least now, I can actually feel like there could be some skill needed.

I fail to see why video matters. It happened on the devs dedicated servers. It's not like they don't keep game logs. They for sure can look back and see what was going on. Something really should be done.

Video matters because it's more proof. I don't know how the servers works, and I don't know if they can rewatch what happened. I'm sure theres some way to do it, but the fact is, with video evidence, they can't deny it happened and can easily identify wether it was hacking or lag issues. I could go into a match, see someone unhook and heal quickly and call out hacking. It doesn't prove it was, because there's no evidence. Point is, you can say it was hacking, but without being able to provide proof, it's kind of your word against theirs.

  • As Solo, Kindred is glued to my loadouts in any build I run. I sometimes combine it with Open Handed, because that extra aura reading size is stupidly good. I'm just shocked more people don't use it because it's helped me get tons of safe unhooks. I also use Blood Pact to see the injured survivor, and they see me, which is pretty useful, especially if the Obsession keeps changing during the match.
