Do you think OoO is fine?

Apparently the statistics say OoO people who run it dont escape that often so the perk is apparently fine by the devs eyes. They also like it and sole survivors synergy.

  • I honestly laughed at this response. The only people who run OoO are players who are trying to Adept Laurie, and SWF. And they don't escape often because ANY killer who sees it in their lobby facecamps said survivor to death. Granted I don't see it as much as before, but it's always a SWF that uses it, never a solo player.

  • No, this perk is toxic by design and needs a complete rework into something totally different.

  • Our complains never were it's OP by itself but that it's extremely unfun to play against (especially as trapping killers) and that its information can be shared through SWF to always let all 4 survivors know of killers location when only 1 survivor should know.

I honestly can't belive they look at survival rate statistics to determine if OoO is problematic when obviously it won't be (as many killers hate the users of that perk to hard tunnel them to the point of throwing the game). Just look at it objectively and you should instantly see they unhealthy design it has on killer gameplay, not chasing the user of OoO doesn't solve the problem that perk creates.

  • Talking about statistics interpretation instead of playing the game.

  • There's a famous quote about stats. "There are three types of lies -- lies, damn lies, and statistics."

Anyone can be shown statistics. Being able to actually interpret those statistics correctly is a whole other thing entirely.

My faith in the developers to change game mechanics, perks, etc. based on their ability to interpret any set of statistics correctly and based on their track record of doing so? Percentage chance of that ... errr ... yeah ... not so high. THAT you'd don't need to be a statistical wizard to figure out.

  • It´s not fine. It´s the most problematic perk imo, leagues beyond NOED and DS.

  • Object is the Nurse of Survivor Perks. People think it's bad because no one can use it well, but it's actually one of the best Perks in the game, especially when combined with a 4-man SWF.

Seriously, if someone with OoO is in an SWF and is decent at looping, you either waste your time chasing them, in which case everyone knows where you are and what you're doing, or you go after everyone else, in which case... everyone knows where you are and what you're doing. You lose either way.

  • no, its not fine. it gives way too much information to a good player with no real way to counter it as killer

  • I thought that was funny and made me facepalm. Like no ######### the escape rate isn’t that high you get camped and tunneled out if you run it. So I guess give the 4man with object the win by letting one player call out plays all game?
