One thing to remember when not running iron will, is that just because you can't hear your grunts of pain, doesn't mean they're gone. Sometimes the killer can hear your grunts, but you can't. And vice versa.

He is cool as he's the only non human killer we have. Just so dam rare to go against. I literally face 1 a year lol
Huh? The Oni is human. He just wears the Oni mask. Pyramid Head and Demogorgon are the only non-human killers we have. Freddy and Nemesis are both former humans but I'd argue they also count as non-human.

Sole Survivor - For every generator you complete, the killer's aura reading range on you is decreased.
Boil Over - Increase the range.
Buckle Up - Survivors near you recover faster when downed.
Breakdown - No change needed.
Premonition - Remove the cooldown, but disable the perk while in a chase.
This Is Not Happening - (in addition to the current effects) Increase the likelihood of getting a skillcheck when injured.
Up The Ante - All survivors are granted a certain percentage of luck, without stacking.
Wake Up! - Increase all action speeds (Healing, exit gates, totems, unhooking, vaulting, searching) after the generators are completed.
Solidarity - No change needed.
Red Herring - (in addition to the current effects) Reveal locker auras within a certain range from you.

The first time I played twins since their nerf, the first time I switched to Victor my camera messed up so I was locked into Victor forever, during his idol animations. And literally the only options I had were let the match play out, or dc. I have another discussion with the video of what it looked like. Really killed the mood for me and made me not want to play.
Very next game I wasn't even able to switch to Victor. I was stuck playing as Charlotte the entire time.
-
I mean we probably should. That's where all posts that aren't rants, memes, or trolls end up.
-
They said in their last QnA stream a few months back that they don't plan on giving any of the new killers (Blight, Twins, Trickster) their own maps. They wanted to finish reworking the old maps before making new ones. RPD being the exception, understandably.
-
It goes without question that the instasaw addons needed to go. But the overheat mechanic was an unnecessary change. It doesn't matter if you can use your chainsaw forever if you can't convert that into a down. Also, everything that hillbilly does, other killers do better.
Chainsaw downing - Leatherface
Mobility - Blight
Curving - Oni
Which begs the question: Why would I play hillbilly when I could play one of these other killers who is more fun and reliable, less frustrating, with a better set of addons?
-
The problem I have with most breakable walls is that they justify bad design. A god window/loop is (in my opinion) bad design. And saying "Oh well you can just break the wall and get rid of the infinite" is stupid because infinites shouldn't even exist in the first place. Plus killers have to waste time that they don't have breaking those walls.
-
The twins getting a nerf would make no sense. If you try to play twins like any other killer (lots of chases, lots of hooks) without camping and slugging, you'll have a bad time. The strongest way to play the twins is with camping and slugging. If you ruin the twins ability to camp and slug effectively, you move the twins from high tier, to low tier. I get that camping and slugging is boring, but it's still the best way to play twins. If you're going to nerf them so that they don't camp so much, you'll need to buff some other aspect of them as well, so that they still have a chance.

I haven't gone against it myself but I imagine spirit but you can see the teenager coming to stab you with zero effort on their part and getting downs with nearly no thought required.
@Satelit said:
We 2019 players really missed out on the true horror
Here's how a chase against Old Legion typically went:
He stabs you twice with feral frenzy, and then starts chasing you normally. You make it to a pallet or window, he vaults over it, and stabs you again. You start running again, you find another pallet or window, he vaults it and downs you.
Or alternatively:
He stabs you twice with feral frenzy, and then starts following you while walking backwards. And because the deep wound timer was tied to being in a chase at the time, your mend bar would deplete while you were running away from him. You'd have to try and stay in chase with him, but if you do it'll be easier for him to catch you. But if you don't you'll just go down anyway.
Basically with Old Legion he was going to down you, no matter what you did.
-
They're both garbage.
-
Because the most efficient way to play Twins is a huge camp and slug fest. Which is unfortunate because if you try to play them like any other killer, meaning lots of chases, lots of hooks and not just protecting your hook, you'll have a bad time. You try to play them without camping and slugging, you'll get bullied most of the time. It's not impossible to win without camping and slugging with Twins, but it is substantially harder. So means there's no reason not to camp and slug with Twins.
-
I wouldn't mind a night of the living dead chapter. No idea what they would do with it but it is a classic. And George Romero was a horror making legend who I think deserves a spot in DBD.

Quite the impossible task, this would require artists to constantly update their packs, and if they move on from dbd the pack will become out dated and wouldn't work, I'd rather not be able to 'earn' something from the rift and it become unusable because someone doesn't want to update it.
Adding fanmade packs would be impossible, but they could very well make their own packs that would be updated.
-
I wish they WOULD just add icon packs to the game. So many have already been made, and it could be something else to unlock in the rift.
-
It's not often I say this but, get good. You can absolutely see him while cloaked, he's not fully invisible unless he's standing still, or far away from you. And if he's actually camping the hook, then the other survivors should punish him for it by completing the generators. And the person on hook should struggle as much as possible to buy more time. You don't have to like that he's camping but if he's actually camping, and gets more than 2 kills, that's on the survivors.
"I work at a gen and a Wraith comes behind me and smacks me then cloaks again and gets another hit to down me" Uh, yeah. That's kind of how Wraith works. But it's not impossible to deal with. If you can make it to a pallet after the first hit, you'll be fine for the time being. If you end up in a dead zone after the first hit, that's likely on you being unaware of your surroundings and running the wrong way.
-
Pyramid Head for me.
-
They could very easily do Dracula, wouldn't even have to get a license. The original Count Dracula character is public domain, meaning anybody can use it. If they wanted to get the castlevania dracula, they'd have to get permission from Konami, who they have worked with before (Silent Hill).
-
Jason would outclass the Trapper in every department. He's grab the trapper and crush him with little to no effort. That being said, I personally feel like Jason would be a boring killer. People talk about him having some sort of tier up into a rage mode where he can break stuff really quick, but that's Lopro Chains + Myers/Oni, and every time they release a new killer that's a mashup of old killer powers, people complain. Getting upset that the devs aren't doing anything new.
The fact that he can teleport is cool, and I can see the devs doing something with that. Maybe he can teleport to certain places on the map as long as nobody can see him. But at the end of the day he's just a stronger, less intimidating, less intelligent version of michael myers, with a machete.
I imagine his power working like this:
When the match starts, a meter starts filling up passively. Once it's full, he can enter rage mode, allowing him to run around the map very fast. Initially he won't be at max speed, but each time he hits a survivor, he gets faster. (kind of like the blight addons that make you faster with each consecutive Rush) During the sprint, hits on survivors will injure or down if already injured, apply the hemorrhage status effect, and he can break pallets and breakable walls without a cooldown (like lopro chains). Hits on survivors MIGHT reduce the Rage meter a little bit. Hits during rage mode will have a faster cooldown than normal attacks (think 4-5 stacks of STBFL). His turning during Rage would be similar to the Oni.
That's the best I can think of. It's not perfect, and is probably op, but if someone else can create a power that fits him better thematically, I'd love to hear it.
-
Michael needs an addon pass because his add-on rarities are not up-to-date. He has 6 uncommon add-ons.
-
Twins don't need any buffs. When played correctly the Twins are very scary, the ability to be in 2 places at once is Paramount. Especially considering you can hook someone and leave charlotte or victor there, and walk across the map with the other, worry free.
What's unfortunate is that the best way to play Twins is heavy camping and slugging, 2 very boring things for survivors. The one change I would do though, is increase how long it takes for Victor to come back. He comes back very quickly after being killed, which I don't like.
Also I'd revert the change they made last mid-chapter, where you're vulnerable for 5 seconds after downing someone with Victor.
-
Richard Trager as killer with Miles Upshur as the survivor. The one downside I see to this is another indoor map.
-
I'd prefer they make Shaggy another survivor in a chapter with Matthew Lillard as the model. And the Black Knight Ghost as the killer.

I would assume that the company that released the film owns the rights to the character but I never looked into it. The movie IS getting a remake, as was mentioned above you. I don't know all the whos and hows though.
Either way, while I would like to see the character, I agree that if Victor Salva made any money from it I wouldn't feel comfortable.

Jeepers Creepers is getting a reboot this year, completely free of having anything to to with the pedophile. This version of The Creeper is fair game for Dead by Daylight.
There is going to be a new jeepers creepers trilogy with the first movie coming this year, and the original director won't get anything from the movie. That being said, Screen Media purchased the rights to the movie, so they've already paid Victor Salva. So he indirectly benefited from the making of the new movie. Plus, even if this movie isn't related to him, Victor Salva still created the movie title, and the character known as the Creeper. And I'm sure none of us want a pedophile's creation in this game.

It's not the hitboxes. Hitboxes are fine, they're good actually, the problem is connection, latency issues make the hits look stupid.
-
I mean, Lady D wasn't that great of a villain, she hardly does anything and you deal with her fairly quickly in Village. And she's almost 10 ft tall, so she literally wouldn't fit through most doorways and windows.
-
The Myers house can become a near infinite if the survivor plays correctly.
At least 2 or 3 of the other houses have safe windows.
The house of pain is....the house of pain.
The fences and hedges can be stupidly long and impossible to counter without a ranged attack.
The spawn locations are unpredictable and if you spawn in as killer in the middle of the street, you're screwed on finding people quickly.
The gens are spread out and hard to actually get to/defend.
Numerous safe pallets connected to windows are a guarantee.
Yeah, killer sided map for sure....

He's been away from youtube for longer than noob3 but SirRodion is a personal favorite of mine.

Legion in january 2019, a little after his first nerf. And the only reason I prestiged Legion was because I didn't have the prestige achievements yet, and I thought "Who could I prestige for the Lols?" Haven't prestiged any other killers because I don't think it's worth it.
-
Honestly just make the range on the perk mapwide, and make the 3 tier be based on the duration. "Windows are blocked for 20/25/30 seconds."

I was most disappointed by Demise of the Faithful and Cursed Legacy. The killers for both looked really cool in the PTB, but I play on console. Plague was nerfed before being released live. I think Oni was nerfed before going live, but I don't remember for sure; he definitely didn't play on console the way he did on the PTB. I never use either killer, especially since Plague got worse with dedicated servers.
I try not to get excited when a killer looks fun on the PTB. It only leads to disappointment.
Oni did get nerfed when he went live, but almost right after they gave him a 90 degree flick. Which you can actually do on console. PC players with high dpi can pull off 180 flicks though, basically Oni's version of the jflick. I'm on PS4 and Oni is my favorite killer to play.

I'll be honest, I'd never heard him speak before and had no idea if that was the way he normally spoke. I kept my mouth shut because it felt inappropriate to bring that up. I'm sad that he had a stroke, but happy that he survived, and even happier that he didn't let it stop him.
If you read this, Puppers, you're awesome.
He was also diagnosed with ALS. And most people with ALS die within 1-5 years of diagnoses.

I haven't seen any official announcement that confirms this.
We don't need one. Tomorrow is when the chapter reveal is happening, and tomorrow is also tuesday. The day we always get the ptb and chapter releases. They're not gonna reveal the new chapter, and then say "Also, you have to wait another full week to play the ptb."

When survivors are nice :) (rarely happens to me)
I would've preferred if they just left. No reason for them to suffer just because I am.

Oh yeah, that happened to me once since the most recent hotfix. I think it might have something to do with the new camera shake that happens when you release Victor - you can see it at the start of the clip. I couldn't fix it so I just DC'd.
Twins are a bug-free, fun killer. Wait until you get the bug where Victor doesn't actually jump forwards when pouncing, and just pounces in place. That's always fun.
I just decided to let the game play out. 2 of the survivors figured out that something wrong had clearly happened and just let themselves die to endgame collapse, and all the survivors left their items in front of me.
-
@GGSlushy said:
what happened here?
Exactly what it looks like. I released victor, and got stuck in that animation. Only options were to dc, or let the match finish.

Breakable walls are terrible. You have to break them, wasting time that you don't have as killer, so that you don't get punished later.
-
Wraith was alwasy able to move super fast and beat you to most loops. It's just that he had to use a certain addon. People didnt complain about that before, why complain now?
Don't answer that btw. Rhetorical question.

I think he meant the next level of the current tome (1-2-3-4), not the next entire tome.

Oh i can win with music, just not against ultra sweats.
I don't mind if i don't kill anyone but there is nothing left to learn and no plays that you can make while coms are being used.
They just split up and hold m1. Solo players can do this as well if they have enough hours and don't do stupid things.
"Solo players can do this as well if they have enough hours and don't do stupid things."
That is a very big if. Very rarely will you find a group of solos that actually do well as a team. Also, just because survivors are playing in a swf, and have comms, doesn't mean they're ultra sweats. You'd have to be playing against the top % of players, and that almost never happens. Maybe one out of every hundred games, you run into an actual sweat squad.
