There's a reason why Devour Hope is a hex, hex perks should be stronger than most other perks to compensate for the fact that they can be removed from the game. So no, it's not unfair. Small Game, Counterforce, Detective's Hunch, and maps can render hex perks useless.

Make it so you make breathing noises while injured, instead of making you completely silent. Just remove grunts of pain, but keep breathing noise.

Stats shown to us: Kills and escapes are almost equal. Kills are higher but the difference is very little. Kill rates are under 60%.
Last stats before this, kill rates was high. But seem like not anymore. So we can stop say: Kill rates are so high, survivors can not escape etc. Game is balanced i think?
No, we can't say that. We shouldn't draw any conclusions from the stats they released. Those stats only tell how many escapes and kills there were, it doesn't say how those kills and escapes happened (suicide on hook, dc's, key escapes, moris)
-
Cool story bro.
Needs more dragons.
-
Currently, DBD is the worst it's ever been on console. So if there's an increase in console players suiciding on hook or dc'ing, chances are it's because their screen froze for like 2 full seconds when they got hit, and they couldn't do anything so they went down. Also, pc players do the same crap. In my experience, if somebody dc's usually (not always) it's a pc player with a stacked perk loadout.

I mean, they're slashers. They're not all going to look drop dead gorgeous, they're going to look creepy or at the very least, "different. If you can't look at them and keep your voice down that's your problem.
-
You don't need stridor on spirit anyway and not everybody uses iron will. Yes there are still no-sound bugs but even stridor can't fix that.
-
Iron Will. I hate not having Iron Will.
-
He's fine.
-
Just because it looks just like the original map, doesn't make it a good DBD map. It's way too big, has no Line-of-sight, a million obstacles and corridors that make it impossible to get from A to B in a timely manner, and the pallets range from godly to absolutely useless. It's a dumpster fire of a DBD map.
-
The appeal of RCPD looking exactly like the original will wear off quickly. Pretty soon everybody is going to hate playing on the new map just like every indoor map, since everything about the map except sucks, except aesthetic. It's giant, has no LOS, and a million obstacles that prevent you from getting where you want to be in a timely manner, it's just a dumpster fire of a DBD map.

He was the laughing stock of the community for 2 years, so much so that many gave him his own "Freddy tier" on tier lists. Bringing him back would likely just make him the main joke once again.

7%. A little over .2 m/s.

Then play killer, or don't play solo if it bothers you so much. Finding people to play with isn't hard.
-
Ehm, no. You're essentially asking for ptb trickster to return, except even worse because you also want one of his best addons removed. Ptb trickster was garbage and making him worse than that? Just no.
-
It's cool and all that it perfectly matches the police department from resident evil, but as a dbd map it's awful.
-
I've gotten it and it's an awful map. Had a devour hope killer. Best of luck finding totems on that map, we barely could.
I feel like one of the few who was VERY happy that the map stayed disabled so long, because of how horrible it is to play on.

Title, got nothing else to add except that i might consider this for Wraith super-DUPER-lunges.
It sucks. Incredibly not worth a perk slot.

People already bought thd dlc and cosmetics. They've got their money, I doubt they care.

Wraith for sure. Dishonorable mentions go to Oni, Demo, Deathslinger, and Huntress.

Your perspective is what matters to prove.
I don't think you will get banned, given the fact that there are still problems of lag and everyone is aware of what's happening.
Save your video just in case.
The video's on youtube, it's not going anywhere.
I do think it's funny that the killer claimed to play dbd 8 hours a day and he's never seen hit validation in action.
-
Incorrect, the map is not disabled right now. It is possible to get it in a public match right now, but it's extremely unlikely. And you can always go into a custom match to play on the new map.

My policy is I don't cleanse unless somebody else does first. Or if the gens are all done, then I'll cleanse in a corner.

That's actually another thought I had but I decided against making it a post.
Would he be a skin or a killer?
There would be outrage if they added Jason and he was just a skin on one of the weakest killers.

I said the exact thing earlier in the thread and it got completely overlooked, as it seems your comment has been. This is what needs to happen before anything; you need to bridge the gap between SWF and Solo.
Comms need to be implemented for Solo, including non-verbal stuff like a ping system. I think making builds/items visible to other Survivors in the lobby would help, as well.
Once the gap is bridged, then we can talk about balance.
One of the devs explained in his stream that in-game chat was something they talked about in the beginning days of dbd, and they decided it was not the direction they wanted to go.

I remember getting tombstoned by a michael with dying light without no prior hooks or chases, because i was the obsession. The others fed him his power and then he got me out of the game in an instant. And why did he do that? Because he had to, to get value from his perk. Dying Light was not fine, it was extremely boring and unfun to play against.

What makes it an awful idea? How does asymmetrical gameplay turn what is a good idea for most PvP games into a bad idea? It actively makes no sense to me and seems like an extremely arbitrary distinction.
Because DBD isn't designed like "most" PvP games. In many PvP games, each side has the same goal. Both strive to win, and each side usually has equal access to resources to help them win, with the same set of options. Which makes it easier to balance around fairness. But DBD is asymmetrical. Asymmetrical games have different roles with different goals, and only a few similarities between them. Each side shares basic abilities, but their abilities and tools to work with are very different. You have to think about what you have, what your opponent has, and your opponent's mindset. There's more coming into play than just "I'm better at this one thing than you are", simply because of how many different variables there are in play.
In Asymmetric games, one side will always inherently be stronger than the other, simply by design. And at the top level of DBD, survivors dominate every game against every killer except for Nurse and Spirit. You can't balance around the top% in DBD because if you did, you'd have to make drastic changes to both sides that would completely change the game, which is not going to happen. If you for example made generators take longer, sure weaker killers would have a better shot, but the game would just be even easier for the killers who were already really strong. No matter what you do with a change like that, you'll always be screwing over one side. So the only way to balance around the top% would be to bring the weaker killers up to the level of the strong killers, where every killer has a chance to win regardless of how strong the survivors are, as long as the killer plays well. But that's not what the devs are doing, and not how they plan on balancing the game.
So overall, the reason this game shouldn't be balanced around the top%, is because this game isn't designed around the top%. There are lots of different killers in this game that can do well in a casual setting, but none of them stand a chance in the top%. If the only 2 killers in this game were nurse and spirit, and the survivors were the ones being given new powers every chapter, then maybe it would work. But that's not how it works.
-
Who cares? Oh no, 2 addons were changed ever so slightly. What ever will we do?

The devs don't even call it a horror game anymore. At most this is a horror-based game.

I didn't say they weren't getting their own maps. I said they don't plan on it. Meaning it could happen, but we shouldn't expect anything.

Yes but when they release a chapter like this they deserve all the criticism they get while if they waited to optimize the game it would be undeserved. At least then most people would understand
I seriously doubt "most people" would understand, given the behavior of the dbd community. A lot of the criticism they get already is undeserved (imo). The smart ones might understand, but the ones who don't understand would just complain about the lack of new content. People are always going to be complaining regardless of what the devs do.
So the game servers crashed. People aren't able to play for a little while. Big deal, things happen, servers have issues all the time. Does it really do any good to spend your time complaining about it? As if the dozens of other discussions haven't sent a clear enough message?

I would rather be able to actually play the game and wait for them to optimize the chapter than whatever is going on with the game. Also they've had an influx of new players with Silent Hill and Stranger thing they should be prepared for this type of situation. Skins shouldn't cause problems at all.
Yup, everybody says they'd rather wait and have them optimize the chapter before release. But what happens every time they delay a new chapter? People flock to social media and the forums and complain. There's just no winning.

I mean the whole game went down for a bunch of people this game. Also the fps drop when nemesis uses his power makes him borderline unplayable
But that's a problem with the update itself, not the chapter. Fps drops/lag spikes didn't make twins unplayable on launch, in-game bugs did that. In this scenario, it's issues between the platform and update itself. So I can agree this is probably the worst update we've seen in a while, but certainly not the worst chapter.
Also, have you considered that there's a lot going on right now for dead by daylight? 2 new survivors (4 including skins), new killer, everybody wanting the try out the new content all at the same time, new players from resident evil coming into the game, et cetera.
Yes, the devs could've delayed the chapter a bit to try and make sure this doesn't happen. But if they had done that, players would've complained anyway that the devs delayed the chapter. Here's how it goes: Chapter is released on time = players complain about issues, Chapter is delayed = players complain that they don't get what they want when they want it.
-
Disagree. Nothing will ever be as bad as binding of kin. I remember there was a discussion made after that chapter came out listing every new bug that was discovered, and it got to around 160 bugs total. Maybe more. At least the killer and survivors are actually fun with a good set of perks. And Binding of Kin had bugs that literally took away your power completely. I haven't seen that happen with Nemesis, at least he has a working power.

I've been seeing a lot of people mention that name a lot. Who is "Sluzzy"?
Sluzzy is a user on here who is an obvious heavy survivor main troll. Believes all killers and all killer actions are op and need to be nerfed, thinks survivors are underpowered and need heavy buffs, that sort of thing. Generally when someone says something outrageous/ridiculously one sided on here, people say "Is that you Sluzzy?" or "Sluzzy alt account?"
I can't blame them for thinking that. Every time I see a ridiculous discussion title I notice it's a Sluzzy post and just go "Oh, okay. Now it makes sense."
-
The relationship between us as players and the dbd devs feels akin to an abusive relationship. They release an update that breaks the game in one way (or more) or another, we get mad and want to quit playing and they say "We'll fix it. Sorry about this. Won't happen again" and then they do it again afterwards and the cycle just doesn't seem to end.
Edit: also, this is not meant as a jab at the devs, I don't mean bad, this is just a connection I've made.
-
I just don't want to play against nemesis because the lag spikes when playing against him are ridiculous and ruin the game.
-
I knew this was gonna happen. Nemesis in DBD is nothing compared to Nemesis in resident evil. I always said "I don't want Nemesis just getting run around walls and pallets by teenagers like any other killer" and that's exactly what happened. They didn't do Myers justice, I didn't expect them to do Nemesis justice.

Is it because of resident evil characters or just in general?
It's mostly when playing as Nemesis and against Nemesis. I played for like 6 hours and faced only like 6 Nemesis's and 3 spirits. The spirit games were mostly fine, but with Nemesis it got to a point where I'd see he was the killer and say "Oh god Nemesis again" knowing full well the lag was going to be horrible. I'm probably going to put dbd down for a little bit until they fix this.
-
It's ridiculous on PS4 as well.
-
I'm on PS4 and I haven't seen lag this bad since the start of the graphical updates with macmillan. When playing as and against Nemesis.

Wait really? I was just assuming this because it seemed less as I have not checked the patch notes (couldnt find em) could you link it?

Because if they did somehow manage to make a perfect mmr system where the strong players only played with strong players and the same went for new players, the game would be extremely boring and unfun. The less skillful the players in a dbd match are, the more interesting it is, because at high level you only see nurse, spirit, blight, and maybe 1 or 2 others, and the games end very quickly. And, playing killer is already stressful enough at high level, getting strong survivor teams game after game over and over is not a great experience (in my experience)
And don't say "Oh you just want easy wins that you don't deserve." No, that's not what I'm saying. It's not that I want easy games, it's that I don't want only sweat games. I don't like having to play a certain way every match in order to win. But sometimes during this mmr test, I had to tunnel or slug multiple people in order to win, which I find very boring.

Deja vu, premonition, no one left behind, monstrous shrine, unrelenting, this is not happening, resilience and all wraiths perks. Not really sure on the effects though
Deja vu - in addition to it's current effect, when generator auras are revealed to you, you can see the progress of each generator by the intensity of their auras.
Premonition - remove the cooldown and just make the perk highlight whenever you're looking at the killer within a range, but disable the perk during chase.
No One Left Behind - all action speeds (healing, vaulting, unhooking, cleansing, searching) are increased after the generators are completed.
Monstrous shrine - for every survivor on a hook (not just the basement) gain a movement speed buff. (so if 2 survivors are on a hook at once and you gain 5% per survivor, you'll move 10% faster) And you lose the movement speed buff when the survivors are unhooked.
Unrelenting - every time you down a unique survivor (like no way out) gain a token. Increase pickup animation speed by 10 percent for every token.
This is not happening - in addition to it's current effect, increase the likelihood of getting a skillcheck while injured.
Resilience - no idea, I think it's fine right now.
Predator - footstep sounds are more audible (like stridor for breathing), and survivors leave scratch marks while walking if they are exhausted. These walking scratch marks disappear faster than normal scratch marks.
Bloodhound - Pools of blood are clearly visible from much farther away.
Shadowborn - no idea.
-
One of the devs addressed this while they were streaming themselves playing dbd. I saw the clip in a compilation so I can't link it. It went something like this.
"In-game chat between survivors was something we discussed back in the earliest days of development, and we decided it was not what we wanted to go for."
I expect several people to say "No source provided, this is probably made up" which I totally get, but I have no reason to lie. Proximity chat or walkie talkies aren't happening any time soon. Unless Behavior sells dbd to another company and they add voice chat.

I guess he means that in the Entity's Realm Kazan basically transformed into an Oni, a demon. He used to be a human prior to that, though.
As for Nemesis, it never was a human really (the only place where he was are Anderson's movies), it's a Tyrant, which although has some biological connection to humans, is still a bioweapon in its entirety, artificially created in the lab. Freddy in his current form is a Dream Demon.
I'm aware that Freddy is a dream demon and Nemesis isn't really a human. Which is why is specified 'Former'-human. As in, not anymore.
