  • I mean, one of his perks is called Dragon's Grip.

  • What would you be more afraid of: A man with a knife, or a lunatic with a spoon?

That’s why I want her reworked. She’s a relic of the past like insta heals or old toolboxes but unlike those two she hasn’t really been changed too much

I mean, she used to have 3 blinks base and through addons she could get 6 blinks. And there was no recharge. And she used to be a little faster than the survivors when walking. She's not nearly as strong as she used to be.

I can understand wanting her reworked, but as it stands, Nurse is still the only killer that can win no regardless of how well survivors play. Taking away the one killer that can do that, would cause a riot.

  • @Phasmamain said:

Nurse is the single worst designed killer in the game. Not even twins or spirit can compare because they still have to play the basic pallet/ window looping game

    Nurse just ignores everything

You do realize Nurse wasn't designed around current dbd, right? Nurse was made when we still had insta-heals, instant generators, pallet vacuum, no entity blockers, infinite loops (which are returning with breakable walls), double pallet tiles, fast vaulting from any angle, amongst other issues. If you look at how ridiculous the game was when she was created, her design is fine because there was a stupid amount of resources for survivors. Is she unbalanced for current dbd, maybe. But considering how strong swf is, I don't think she should be changed until swf is addressed.

  • People are going on about how Lady D couldn't fit through most dbd doorways, and I'm over hear wondering how she could vault any building window. What are they gonna do? Have her crawl through like demogorgon?

I’m sure you’re that you are perfect and never overlook anything ever. Right. The “holier than thou” attitude of some gamers know no bounds.

No, I never said or tried to imply I'm perfect. Nor did I ever claim to be better than you. All I was saying is how hard is it to read a perk description?

I noticed, but so what? The perk is still called Small Game. If anything, they should have removed the totem sensing and kept the traps. The name doesn’t make any sense for what does now.

"But so what?" So you saw the different perk icon and went "Huh they changed it from a picture of a beartrap to a picture of a totem. Ah well that probably doesn't mean anything. Perk probably still detects traps. No need to check the description"

The reason they got rid of the trap sensing and kept the totem part, is because they're trying to push people to do totems more often. And they're moving away from perk effects that target specific killers, like how small game specifically beat trapper and hag.

You’re the ######### here because you’re acting like I never knew that they list the updates in the news section. You didn’t create your post to be helpful, you just did it to be a snarky ass. Every update has like 50 different changes so it’s entirely possible to overlook or misread one of them.

And guess what? Even if I knew about the change I would still be here talking about it because it is something worth discussing.

What I'm mostly confused about is that, sure it might be easy to miss that they changed what the perk does. But they changed the icon for the perk as well. It's very different now. Did you miss that as well?

  • Um, no. Victor Salva, the man who created Jeepers Creepers, is a convicted pedophile. And I highly doubt that anybody here or on the dev team would want to give him money.

That being said, Screen Media bought the rights to Jeepers Creepers not too long ago, and a new movie is coming out soon. And Victor Salva has no involvement in the movie whatsoever. He'll probably still get some royalties from it, seeing as he created the Creeper, but if he isn't getting anything from the movie, than the devs could probably add this new Screen Media Creeper to the game, having no connection to the original. That's a big maybe though.

  • Because when you go down to a Nurse, you typically think "This killer is pretty good." Because it's understood that Nurse is a very hard killer to learn and actually get strong with. But when you go down to a spirit who's just come out of phase, it feels like there wasn't anything you could've realistically done to stop it. It's just like "Well I guess I should've known exactly where she was and what she was doing without any way to know where she was or what she was doing. I guess I need to get more gooder at the game."

And I don't know about you, but running around, changing your movement, breaking LOS and just generally playing differently than you would any other killer, is a lot more fun than just walking so as to not leave scratch marks, and all of a sudden going down to a spirit who just came out of phase, before you could even register what's happening.

It's well known that the Nurse is a very hard killer to really get good with. But that's not the case with Spirit. You can play spirit without even using a headset, and just using speakers to listen to the game, and you can still easily stomp survivors. A headset just makes it even easier than it should be, and if you have stridor the survivors really won't be able to do anything.

And Nurse does have counterplay actually. Breaking line of sight is the best thing you can do against Nurse. When the nurse has seen you, it will instantly become much harder for you to survive because of how her power works. And likewise, when the nurse loses sight of you, it instantly becomes harder for her to catch you, because she has to play a guessing game: which way will the survivor go next? And if she picks wrong, you'll get away and she'll get nothing.

Here's how it goes: you go around a corner and instantly stop so you can see the nurse behind you but she can't see you, check if she's started charging her blinks, and if she has, wait a bit, and run the opposite direction from the way you turned. 8/10 times she won't get a hit on you there. Then later, change it up so that she doesn't get use to anything and your movement remains unpredictable.

  • If you're looking right at a trap, and you know you're looking right at that trap, why would you need something (small game) to remind you that, you are indeed, looking at that trap? Even with tar bottle it's not too difficult to find his traps. In fact with the map reworks many of the better trap spots are gone. If you keep your eyes peeled and literally watch your step, you'll be fine.

  • I've got every challenge done, I'm at tier 21, and I haven't collected any of the master challenges, as well as 5 of the smaller challenges. If I collected them all I'd be at tier 26.

  • Make it possible to revert back into tier 1/alternate between tiers 1 and 2. Just an idea.

  • Tremors with Burt Gummer as a survivor. And a graboid as the killer.

  • The devs said that they want to give each killer their own music, but that they can't guarantee or promise that every killer will have unique music.

  • They said they don't plan on doing midwich, dead dawg, or lery's. Hawkins, not sure.

  • The devs stated that they want to give each killer their own music, but that they can't promise every killer will get music.

  • The Devs never promised to add an lgbt character. They said it was something they were thinking about, but they weren't sure when to do it.

  • The coding for old freddy doesn't exist anymore, they'd have to completely recreate him. Which I doubt they'll put time and resources into.

  • It's feasible but incredibly not worth. Better to use either 1 exhaustion or no exhaustion.

  • Maybe when you launch it, your camera moves from Nemesis to the rocket and you guide at towards the survivor manually.

  • 9 killers and 9 survivors.

Clown, Spirit, Legion, Plague, Oni, Deathslinger, Blight, Twins, Trickster.

Kate, Adam, Jeff, Jane, Yui, Zarina, Felix, Elodie, Yun-jin.

  • Don't hold your breath, ptb on console is not sometihng they're working on doing.

  • The lawsuit over the rights to Jason that killed f13 the game is over; Victor Miller won. However, right after that Sean Cunningham started another lawsuit against warner brothers over net profits from friday the 13th.

  • I always have fun playing against nurse, because counterplay is different and interesting in comparison to most of the other killers which basically consists of running in a circle around a loop a few times, then dropping the pallet, or faking the pallet drop. You can't play like that against a nurse, you have to change it up, be unpredictable. And that's fun, in my opinion.

  • Candyman, Fullmetal Alchemist, Until Dawn.

  • Jumped in a locker after healing someone because the nurse was taking someone to a hook. This pos Nea decided to open the locker right when barbecue would've gone off, and then when I was hooked in the basement later she came down, teabagged, and then left. I died on first hook. She also died.

  • Original - Cursed Legacy

    Licensed - Silent Hill

  • I haven't noticed anything but I wouldn't be surprised if they did change the flashlights. The devs have been known to make unnecessary flashlight changes and not put them in the patch notes.

Even red rank nurses are very weak overall. I don't know why people need to make personal attacks against me for citing actual statistics. But this is just the way the world is now. If you actually look up the statistics which is very easy to do the nurse is extremely weak--almost pathetically and pitifully so.

I really hope this is bait, but just in case it isn't...

Those statistics you're quoting are not reliable at all. There are far too many variables that determine the outcome of a match for those stats to mean anything:

    How good was the killer?

    How good were the survivors?

Were meta builds used or meme perks used?

What add-ons did the killer use?

What items did the survivors bring in?

    Big map or small map?

Is the killer on console or pc? Or switch?

I could go on but hopefully you get the point. Those statistics should not be used to judge how good a killer is. Going by stats, Pig is one of the best killers in the game. But it's common knowledge that Pig is NOT one of the best killers. Go watch SupaAlf on youtube. He's a 5-6 thousand hour nurse main and he's insane.

  • They already tried to make a killer that basically ignores every game mechanic like the nurse does, a killer now known as old Legion. And we all know how that went.

Making a new killer that is on nurse's level is hard because nurse was made at a very different time. She was made when we still had insta-heals, instant generators, pallet vacuum, no entity blockers, infinite loops, double pallet tiles, fast vaulting from any angle, amongst other issues, that are now gone (aside from infinites which still exist). Now that most of those issues are gone, making a nurse level killer would require they be very hard to play. But at that point, it's basically just nurse, so what's the point?

  • I had a guy 2 weeks ago dc when he had only been hooked once. I grabbed him off a vault and he called it quits. He was the obsession and I had 8 stacks of save the best for last at the time, so I just had 8 stacks for the rest of the match lol. I decided to give him props after the match just for that.

  • Or just bring back the effect of red skillchecks with a different perk, separate from current ruin.

  • Nemesis is a giant monster with a rocket launcher that can leap buildings in a single bound, so he seems unlikely to me. He'd probably just walk over pallets honestly.

Mr. X seems the most likely to me. The other smaller mutants are less iconic, and the bigger mutants seem too farfetched. I know the devs will do whichever one they want and make them work somehow though.

  • As hype as this will be, I really don't think this is gonna go well. I seriously doubt they would do any RE killer justice.

  • Old Freddy doesn't exist anymore. To add back old freddy they'd have to completely recreate his coding, which they aren't going to do.

  • That's how I felt after playing six games with trickster. I just said "This killer's garbage. I'm going back to Oni."

See the difference is that you actually feel like a threat when playing a killer who isn't the trickster. With Oni I knew I could actually do some damage.

ds is from a licensed character so not everyone is going to have access to the perk. and there are a lot of people who missed ds in the shrine.

For the people also creates an obsession and it's from an original character. If people want there to be an obsession, but don't want to spend a few bucks to get laurie, they can use shards to get zarina.

  • Put on object of obsession and sprint burst, and send yourself to midwich.

What's left? Haddonfield after Coldwind Farm? Looking forward to that hopefully they do Haddonfield justice when they get to it.

As for Coldwind Farm - A bit disappointed if they don't expand the Thomson house just a little bit. It would be cool to see what a farmer's home looks like in greater detail in DBD. I'd be fine with one of the five maps being more so indoors (But not entirely) tbh.

I'm referring to size by the way since Thomson House was always a very empty map if you consider it's mostly just a cornfield and not so much focusing on the house.

The only ones remaining after coldwind are red forest, haddonfield, and backwater swamp.

  • You escaped a blight on pc. Congratulations. What do you want, a trophy or something?

  • Outlast. I'd love richard trager as a killer.

  • I mean, killers get punished if they kill survivors too quickly. So the same defence can be made for killer: the objective is to kill survivors, yet if you do it too fast you will either depip or black pip.

  • The developers have stated that the wouldn't do more than 2 licenses per year. That's not saying they want to do at least 2 licenses each year, it means that 2 is the maximum for 1 year. It's not a guarantee.

A tunneling killer will still tunnel anyways. Killers can STILL tunnel if they want to. Nobody is stopping them, but having obs. base-kit will help cover up those teams w/o obs. perks thus creating a risk the killer will have to take. A killer shouldn't be like "Haha this one team doesn't have any obs. perk, lemma just hook this Cheryl real quick even tho she got off the hook 5 seconds ago when there's literally 5/4 gens remaining"

If killer mains are so against this change, then I suppose swf's are going to be a lot more common now since solo que just got 10x harder.

Why are you quoting me in this comment?

  • You want a default obsession basekit because you don't want to have to run an obsession perk. Fine. I propose that since killers don't want to have to bring regression perks like ruin and pop, the devs should make generators regress on their own at basekit, so that there's more freedom on what killers can bring into a match. Sound good?
