The only killer perk that was instantly nerfed from recent memory was undying
The only reason boons haven’t been nerfed yet is because they want mikaela to sell well.
Gearhead, Infectious Fright, and Coup De Grace were all nerfed from the ptb, just fyi.

IF Victor Salva doesn't own the license or franchise anymore, and IF he can't get any monetary gain from the new movie or from BHVR introducing the character, then Maybe we'll see the Creeper in DbD... but those are some big IF's. Otherwise, there's not a snowballs chance in hell that BHVR would make a deal to be associated with Victor Salva in any way, much less pay him for usage of the character license.
"Separate the art from the artist" be damned!
He's already gained money from the new movie since Screen media had to pay him for the rights to jeepers creepers. They had to pay him upfront to make the the movie.

As you guys might know, i new Jeepers Creepers movie is coming out, this one is a complete reboot with new staff, completely from scratch with no attachments to the old ones. So no bad rep attached to this one.
So with that in mind, does the Creeper have another chance to be in the game? If not, i understand, but could this work?
In order to make this new movie, screen media had to purchase the rights to jeepers creepers. Meaning they had to pay victor salva to make it. Like it or not, if you pay to see the new movie you're still indirectly supporting him, since he's already profited from the new movie ahead of time.

Clown is easy. Split up on gens and insta drop pallets. Not a whole lot he can do.
-
Actually his default shock range is 10 meters not 4.

Console performance has been troublesome for a while now but this patch has made it worse. Numerous times I end up dying because desync makes me think the killer is far away when in reality, he's just knocked me down and hooked me. Or worse I'll get unhooked, and then I'm unable to move from the hook so the killer just knocks me down again.

Ah ok thanks. Do you know if this is intentional? cause this a bit unfair.
Pretty sure that being able to walk over the hatch when it's invisible is not intentional.
-
You can indeed still find the hatch early in the match if you walk over it like before.
-
I haven't had long loading screens, but numerous games now I have died literally just because I couldn't move after getting unhooked. It's the most infuriating feeling to constantly die because of a bug.
-
I got reported once because the killer's hit got taken away by hit validation, and instead of realizing what happened he assumed that since he heard me scream but I wasn't injured, I was insta heal hacking.
-
This just happened to me against Nemesis. Except I was standing up, and I couldn't move for like 15 seconds. In which time a zombie walked over and downed me, so I just got hooked again immediately. Most infuriating feeling.
-
This just happened playing against Nemesis. Couldn't move at all and a zombie just came over and downed me, so I immediately got hooked again.
-
She's basically the same except it feels a lot more fair playing against her.

I was under the impression that condole Nurse is the same as PC albeit harder to play.
You're right to think that. I've sunk near enough 2000 hours into just Nurse on Console. Yes she is much harder to play, yes she is very buggy, but she's still the strongest killer.

Behaviour have explicitly claimed that if one plays a specific killer, but not another and they don't play the latter often, then the MMR for the latter killer would be lower for those unexperienced with that killer.
I know, that's why I said within 200 mmr. So if you get max mmr on say spirit and then play trapper or someone else for the first time, they'll be like 200 mmr under your spirit, but that's still pretty high. That's why you're getting good survivors when you play hillbilly even though you don't play him very much.
Edit: They also "explicitly claimed" that mmr was not just based on kills and escapes, and that it calculated mmr based on a number of factors, which we now know is untrue.
-
@Lliart said:
As it is now, MMR feels quite ineffective when I want to play as killers I don't normally play. For example, I NEVER play as Hillbilly, but I'm getting matched up against survivors who are more akin to what I play on my mains Nemesis and Wraith.
I don't think killers have separate mmrs. If you have a super high mmr nemesis, all your other killers will be within 200 mmr of your nemesis rating. It doesn't make sense but I believe that's how the mmr works.
-
For Killer, Beast of Prey.
For Survivor, either Buckle Up or Off the Record.
-
My favorite build for Wraith is Dragon's Grip, Franklin's Demise, Hex: Devour Hope, and Discordance with All Seeing Blood and Coxcombed Clapper. If there aren't any items I swap Franklin's with Make Your Choice or Hex: Undying. My main goal usually is to just get Dragon's Grip value. Even if that means hiding near a regressing generator and waiting for someone to come by.
-
Make it so that iron will only removes grunts of pain, not sound altogether. For whatever reason iron will stops all breathing sounds when injured, which doesn't make sense to me. Grunts of pain should stay silent. But make it so breathing is still audible.

OP said "slugged to death", not even slugged for 4k.
Who like to be slugged on the ground for 4min and unable to play? You?
Nobody likes being slugged for 4 minutes. As I said, you don't have to like it. But it's within the rules and confines of dbd, so it's not reportable or bannable.
-
Not reportable. You don't have to like it, but that is a strategy the killer is allowed to use. Eventually the game will end.

Playing a killer to get a free win, run back to every hook, exploit broken add ons, etc is absolutely toxic.
No that's not toxic at all. The word toxic has lost it's meaning because it's tossed around so much. Playing within the rules and confines of the game that the developers put in themselves, is not toxic. Just because you don't approve of the way someone else plays, doesn't make that playstyle toxic.
-
Just fyi, there is currently a bug where sometimes the huntress will not have a lullaby.
-
Just fyi, there's actually a hole in Nemesis's right arm. You can see it easier in the killer lobby screen if you turn him a little bit.
-
Try changing your thermal paste.

All I've been seeing is Huntress, Cannibal, and Pinhead.

i got lucky and got barbecue on literally my very first bloodweb w/ pinhead lol.

Trickster is getting one for sure, and they should probably give Oni one considering he's missed out 2 times to my knowledge. Twins probably won't get one because nobody plays them, and it'd probably be difficult to make with Victor not being blighted.
My end guess is Trickster, Oni and Nemesis. Nemesis one is just a hunch, but he's getting a skin at around Halloween time anyway.
Just fyi, Oni only missed out 1 time.

In an unbalanced 4v1 game that's almost entirely RNG-dependent, and the 4 have far more control than the 1, no I do not want SBMM. How do you determine skill in a 4v1 where the 2 sides have completely different objectives and aren't equal in any way? There isn't even a win condition, so how is skill supposed to be determined, especially considering sometimes your skill doesn't matter, and your chances of winning the match are just up to RNG.
-
I agree, SBMM is terrible for dead by daylight. How do you add SBMM to a heavily unbalanced game that's almost entirely RNG-dependent?
SBMM works in balanced games when both sides are equal, with the same objective. In DBD, the 2 sides have completely different objectives, and it's a 4 v 1. So it's trying to match 1 person's "skill" to 4 others, when the 2 sides aren't even doing the same objective, and the 4 have far more control over the match than the 1.
And that brings up another question: how is skill determined in dbd? As of right now, nobody but the devs know, and I'm pretty sure they're never going to tell us. But there are so many different factors that affect and determine the outcome of a match, that it's almost impossible to make a proper MMR system. It's possible, but it's very hard and not realistic.
For example: lets say you play trapper and get sent to The Game. And there's so many pallets on the map that by the time you get a down, 4 gens have been finished, maybe all 5. And you try to camp but the survivor still manages to get saved with bt and everyone escapes. Will the game just count that as a heavy loss and considerably lower your MMR? Or will it take into account the map, number of pallets, strength of trapper, and what the survivors brought in, and recognize that you were at a tremendous disadvantage, and not drop your MMR way lower? My bets are on the former.
As of right now I genuinely think SBMM is what will kill DBD, because SBMM has a track record of causing player burnout. When many people get fed up with the stressful experience of high level matches, they stop playing. It happened with COD, it happened with fortnite, there's no doubt in my mind it'll happen with dead by daylight, until most of the bigger names have left DBD almost entirely. And the only people left are new players. Then once they get better, they'll leave as well since they don't want to deal with high level.

I know.
My issues are two things:
- My friends kinda hate DBD. The ones that stomach it to play with me often prefer to troll around, which doesn't really help me. I enjoy playing games to win, that IS the fun of games for me. (That's the point of having rules and objectives, and calling it a game in the first place.)
- I don't much like the idea of searching online for like-minded players to get on a Disc with, and all that business... I'm not a perfect player, and I know I'm not great at looping. I don't really feel like hearing some angry yelling about random stuff. (I've pugged enough Wow arenas to know how it tends to go.) I also have to say, I can't STAND general Survivor complaints, with the tunnel this and camp that. I usually chime in to defend the Killers, and that gets even my friends mad at me, let alone random strangers.
I dunno. Just sayin'...
You don't have to be in comms during the match. Sometimes I'm in comms with my friends and sometimes I'm not. Also muting people is usually an option.
Edit: I would put my player id because I also hate when people complain about supposed tunneling or camping, but since you don't like looking for people online, I won't.
-
You don't HAVE to play solo, you realize that right? It's not hard to find people to play with if solo survivor is bothering you so much (as it does with most people).
-
Not holding the game hostage. Just unnecessary bm.
-
Not excited in the slightest. How do you determine skill in this game? I'd like to know, since we still have no idea how the devs determines skill in this game, no idea what metric is being used.
-
The only way to actually balance dbd would require making drastic changes to the core gameplay mechanics, changing how each side completes their objective, and that's not the direction the devs are taking the game.
-
Shaggy from scooby doo. With Matthew Lillard as the model.
-
Head On is the only exhaustion perk I ever use so probably that.
-
Just because something is bad doesn't mean you can't like it. It's fine that you love the map, but there are a lot of problems:
Big maps have been an issue for a long time, and RPD is huge, with 3 floors if you include the upstairs library portion. Any killer that isn't a stealth or trap-based killer is going to have a tough time. It has the haddonfield "hedge-problem" where you can be right next to a generator but it'll still take you forever to actually get there because of the corridors. There are several areas that can become near-infinites if played correctly by the survivor.
Also good luck finding totems on that map without a specific perk.
-

I can't read that, But i don't agree with you.
If you would've read at least part of this, you would've seen this:
"after the buffs, this perk is quite alright." So what do you disagree with? Second wind being good? Or bad?
-
I still think they should just make a sound studio map for the trickster using the layout of Hawkins, that way Hawkins fans can still enjoy the layout of the map, just with a different look.
-
I agree, Hawkins sucks. Gens are hard to find without knowing map-specific spawns which casual players probably don't, hard to track people because LOS is terrible, the upstairs is basically a death trap for any survivor without balanced landing, only stealth killers do well on Hawkins and most other killers are screwed, pallets are almost all unsafe, so either you drop it early and run or pray to the entity that you get a stun, and totems are a pain to search for.
The only good thing about Hawkins for me is it's the most tolerable of the indoor maps. Lery's is completely random, Midwich is holding forward simulator, and the Game is a free win for survivors since there's so many strong pallets, by the time they're all broken the game will be over.
Edit: forgot 1 indoor map, RPD. But RPD speaks for itself. We all know it sucks.

I just got accused and reported for hacking.
I was playing against a Freddy, and about 5 minutes into the match he dc'd, and said he was reporting me for insta healing after getting hit. In reality, my game was lagging and acting weird, and his hit was canceled by hit validation.

Anyone think I should be worried? About getting banned?
Here's the discussion I made with both pov's.
