Noob3 is one of the people that pioneered the D/C Meta. By advocating D/cing against Legion.
If that is true then I guess I missed that part.

Like Title says. I don't think anoyne has done this before.
I'll keep this very very short.
The luckiest thing that happened to me was my idea to keep 2 survivors alive and let them compete in a game of locker roulette. After the match we actually became pretty good friends and have been gaming together for over 2 years.
Cheesy/sappy but was a hell of a good time and continues to be.

Exactly. They're in that position selected by Behavior to REPRESENT Behavior and the game as "sponsored" streamers of the game.
They shouldnt do things that are against the rules, or in my opinion even just scummy/toxic. They should try to be the example of what we need in this community.
While I 100% agree with obeying the rules I find the "scummy/toxic" part a little too much of a grey line. Monto and Noob3 are toxic and scummy sometimes but not to the extent that they want to deliberately ruin someones day. I think its sort of a tough spot to judge.
But again yes any representative for a product (Dead by daylight in this case) should be responsible for upholding the standards the company wants to set for their product.

Originally, it was intended to show auras. But it was changed to location for the PTB, and the description was unintentionally left unchanged.
What if the location ping "Pulsed" every second or so for X amount of seconds. This way its not just a blatant "THERE HE IS" aura but rather a sonar like system that can still have a little mindgame about it?
Honestly I don't care for this perk myself but I do find aura perks just boring on both sides.

Drift add-ons:
am i a joke to you?
You mean the add-ons that you need to spend BP in a RNG based bloodweb that you will by no means see every match that has a billy?

So you're saying....you believe that the hatch alone cost you an entire pip?
SURELY there were other parts of the game where those pips could have been made up. Seeing as you can, ya know, double pip, theres a lotta room.
Gens in first 9 mins is a big thing. You said yourself you didnt leave chases to stop gens. What did ya expect?
While there were other ways the OP could have gotten more points (also at the risk of losing the 9 hooks he managed to achieve with how he did play) the hatch took away 1 potential hook and kill from his emblem ranking. Yes with this new system (if rank is what drives you to play) the hatch is a huge loss on the killers side.
It is like trying to rank up as survivor but being Moried. I could tell you to play differently to have avoided getting killed but at the end of the day that Mori cost you any potential points you could have had because it bypassed the normal kill requirement.

I just want a good Game with horror atmosphere. With solid and skillful gameplay, Jumpscares and good chases. And much freedom and creativity.
I just want them to add another Legend. I really enjoyed Octane but I think- oh wait, sorry wrong game. Whats DBD again?

Stop whining about supposed “gen rush”. I’m gonna get hate for saying this but survivors popping off gens like no tomorrow makes that THE KILLERS FAULT. Never chase so long that it’s at the expense of gen pressure and the area you must maintain control of.
1 killer can only chase 1 survivor at a time, its very easy to run back to your gen the moment the killer turns their back to you. Trust me as a solo survivor I can do this easily myself without coordinating with a team. The fact is that not all teams are coordinated but the ones that are or who have a brain in their head can very easily put more pressure DOING gens than the killer can stopping them.
This isn't a "killers just want ez 4k's" or " survivors just want ez escapes" conversation but that killers don't want to be steamrolled against teams who do rush down gens, and yes "gen rush" is a thing.
-
can we get a nerf to moris, iri heads, infinite evil within 3, spirit's purple addons, instasaw, omegablink, extra blink addons, and just delete legion entirely.
Not making a statement of MoM's power but just to point out that its not a fair comparison to pit a Perk that can be brought for free into every match vs a add-on that one must buy with BP and get from a bloodweb with RNG that are 1 time use each.
I would say the same if you were comparing a survivor add-on/item vs a killer Perk too.
-
I'm almost 100% sure that Open Handed only increases the range of auras survivors can see and has no effect on auras related to Killers viewpoints.

How do your personal experiences trump the OP personal experiences thus somehow justifying you claiming its his own "dreamworld"? Seems really hypocritical to me.

The joysticks weren’t made for that much intense, constant wear and tear and it’s going to shorten the lifespan of our controllers.
Slow circular spins work for wiggle AND no real wear and tear or "missed/buggy" wiggle imput.

No.
The Killer shouldn't be able to see the items cuz they quickly leave the lobby they've created.
It's annoying.
Killers are abusing a game mechanic and it needs to be removed.
Ya feel me on this one?
I'd rather suffer a lobby dodge than a DC from 1 or more survivors during a match. Think they need to fix that issue first.

I mean you’re not wrong, but I just hoped that survivor would have done what me and my friend would have done if asked the same thing of us because we’re nice and trusting people.
I just wanted to chainsaw 2 more times and be done with Leatherface.
If they had agreed to it and then screwed you over I could understand but if they never agreed and tried to end the match quickly thats on you. While a team who is in agreement to farm is nice, you cannot expect everyone to want to play that way. If I don't get a response from a team regarding farming then I treat the match as normal gameplay.
-
I don’t see how everyone acts like people dc against legion commonly.
Can't use your own experience as a balance against what many claim.
I don't experience long lobby queues but that doesn't mean many people don't.
I do not own Legion but personaly see many DCs. Now I cannot confirm why they DCed but it doesn't really prove or negate what a large majority claim. Until we get actual data no one can definitely prove it.

I’ve only gotten like 3 compliments ever in this entire game while playing killer on PS4.
1) Someone had complimented my Spirit skills and outfit
2) I let someone go because 3 other people disconnected with 5 gens and I just couldn’t kill the last person because I understand the frustrations of dcing. They kept asking me if I wanted them to be dead on the hook so they can get points but I kept declining.
3) I’m one of those rare Trappers and someone had complimented my Trapper.
I always get super soft whenever anyone compliments me overall so it always makes my day!! 💕💕
When the game first came out on PS4 I use to get a ton of killers who would let me get hatch simply because in a prior game I had given them a GG or a nice message. Haha making friends can save lives.
-
Whether because of the show, the theme song or everything in general. I personally always loved scooby doo and it will forever hold special a place in my heart.
Difficult I really loved Spongebob because the show was good when it first came out and I also really enjoyed Samurai Jack.
If I had to choose only 1 show I would say:
-
Ok, so this is gonna sound strange, but i wanna keep it short and to the point.
Since playing survivor is normally more relaxed as a whole, the stress of a bad match doesn't stir you up as much. With killer you are racing against the clock to get your kills and the game feels less relaxing as a result.
My advice is to stop worrying about getting the kills and maybe create your own goals for the match. For example I really enjoy Doc and Myers for the build diversity they have (gimmick builds too) and go into a match with my own set of challenges.
Today I'll play a massive terror radius Doc with lullaby on The Game, to create a really difficult skill check build. My goal isn't to get kills but instead to see how many skill checks I can get the team to miss.
Today I'll play Scratch Mirror on Lery's Memorial as a Jumpscare build. My goal isn't to get kills but rather get someone to crap their pants. (This build work amazing with the Wraiths "newish" addons).
If you are trying to get kills/rank then you need to go in expecting to get really flustered but such is the nature of a game if you wish to get competitive.
-
Like getting compliments, having just a genuinely fun game; things that made you chuckle, etc.
About 7 months ago I was playing Myers on the Haddon Field map against 2 solo players and 1 SWF team of 2. The SWF team were both playing Ace with the detective hat "meme" scheme going on. During the match I stomped the whole group having only 2 gens done by the time I killed the 2 solos and had both Ace's on their last hook. I found the two Ace players running into the basement for a fun game of "locker roulette" and played a few rounds. I would open a locker and if no one was in it I'd step out and they would swap places, I'd go back down, rinse & repeat until someone was grabbed out. Instead of killing the final survivor who won the locker roulette I got him to follow me to the hatch. After the match they both sent me a message saying thanks for being a good sport and playing along. Those two Ace players and myself have been good PS4 friends ever since and we often play most of our games together now.
Honestly I try to send a GG or mention a funny moment from every match to ever killer I face or survivor who gave me a run around. If the game had me feeling "sour" I just don't say anything.
-
Its simply if people yell OP or Toxic it will generate attention from others who share a once sided view. While these words still hold meaning they are misused to an extent that the word becomes muddied beyond belief. You will see that the majority of people who abuse these words are the same people who would argue their viewpoint rather than hold a conversation.

I've only played 30 hours so I guess it's safe to say I didn't know what I was talking about.
Sadly you are getting in to this game during one if its peak "toxicity" moments so it can be difficult to learn. In all honesty I would advise you don't use the forums for a good while as the energy here can sap even the most veteran of players from wanting to play. Sure you will see/meet great people here but as someone who is already facing the uphill battle of learning the DBD ropes I would say keep the forums as a back-burner idea.
I also highly recommend playing both killer and survivor to see each match perspective, especially the killers you find annoying to face. Good luck to you.

It's more of the fact Enduring makes it useless. I believe Enduring should not affect it, then DS is in a solid spot.
I both agree and disagree. I like that Enduring is a great counter and do believe every aspect of the game should have something like this HOWEVER because Enduring is just a great perk that can fit into almost any build it is a counter that you will see in almost every game.
Calm Spirit is a nice counter to Doc and Clown but its a risk to take it as you might not see them in the matches you play. That same risk doesn't apply to Enduring because even if no one is running DS you still get the great benefit to pallet stuns. I don't want more perks becoming inconsistent (Nurses calling/mend *cough*) but do think it needs looking into.
-
Hey, well, hello, this my first post. I started playing not so long ago, and the survivor I play most is Meg.
Play the survivor you want to level up IF you enjoy it. This game doesn't require you even play survivor to earn points for survivors. For example my Bloodpoint farming build is:
Doctor: Distressing 3, BBQ 3, Thrill of the Hunt 3, Ruin/Lullaby 3
This generates a ton of BP per match (even when I take pity on survivors and let them escape) and is the fastest way to grind BP. I can then put that BP towards other killers OR survivors I want to get good perks on.
I use the Doctor for almost all my BP farming for survivors, and is how I got them all to level 50 with loads of perks. I even used the doctor on the killers I don't enjoy playing so I could get all the killers to level 50 too.
Just play what you enjoy or go for max BP gain.

Yeah my Spirit is at P2 right now and that is mostly because I've farmed the points while playing Doctor. Wish people understood P3 outfits are cosmetic only.
-
No way to aim your bottle throws properly.(Lack of any aiming crosshair) Slow as hell.
He moves at the same speed as most other killers 115%.
His bottles are easy to aim with practice (just like hunter hatchets, only hers don't explode into a cloud of gas)
The bottle arch is annoying as hell and I still haven't gotten use to it...but its possible.

I hope this is only happening to me, but plague games are really hard to find, i have been playing all day long and i havent faced a single plague.
I NEVER see Clown on PS4 but I have had a few plague matches. My guess is not many people bought her (or the DLC as a whole) so you are not seeing many players right now.

Really you are doing that on purpose? Making others angry to get them banned?
The question you might wanna ask yourself is: why do I like to do s.th like that.
I a bit concerned that you got a lil problem there. Maybe let yourself get checked by a psychologist?
The thing is: a healthy (mental) person doesn't feel happy about hurting others on purpose / make others feel bad.
If you got a problem to deeply connect to other ppl in real life whatever makes you happy when you cause suffering in others might be based on the same problem.
Good luck to you

Thanks for all those tips! I will soon try to use different builds to see which playstyle I can handle the best.
But what about the Plagues new perks? I think they will work great on Myers
I think Myers could get some great use from Dark Devotion (TR transfer perk) but it won't be as effective vs SWF. As for infectious fright that perk is amazing for Myers EW III since anyone in radius becomes your next target instantly. It can get you a 4k slug in no time if the team isn't great at looping.
-
I'm not great at those cosplays but underneath my skin my face does resemble a Totem. If the room has good lighting I can even pull off a Hex Totem!
-
Hello some days ago I decided to give Mr. Myers more love (might PIII him just for the bloody mask) but I need some help.
Alright no longer typing from a PS4 so I'll give you my main build I use for Myers (My main killer) and a few tips I like to use while playing him.
Build:
BBQ (optional I use for BP grinding. If you don't wish to use BBQ you can swap this out with almost anything), Monitor & Abuse (one of the best perks for Myers), Nurses Calling (great since your Terror Radius is so tiny/non existent), Make Your Choice (good since it lets you save your EW III uses). For add-ons I use Dead Rabit (makes EW I have a 0m TR and EW II Have a 8m TR when used with M&A perk) and anything that adds speed to my stalk buildup. This is my "main" build as it allows me to stalk a survivor quickly without them noticing me so I can get out of EW I ASAP and keep my TR at a super small 8m while in EW II. Thanks to MYC and Nurses I can keep pressure on people as they are unhooked all while saving my limited uses of EW III.
There are plenty of builds for Myers including a fun one that actually increases your TR to be massive in EW III. Find what perks work for you.
Tips:
Do your best to get out of EW I ASAP. Unless your build is using Scratch Mirror and is therefor locked into EW I you want to get to EW II so your speed and lunge are not hindered. From there you will want to stalk survivors to get your EW II as close to 99% as possible BUT DON'T POP IT until you are right behind the survivor so you can quickly activate and down them without losing any time on your EW III charge. Since the "power/juice" you can stalk from each survivor is limited so are your EW III uses.
When approaching an area you think (hopefully know) a survivor is hidding/doing a gen try to stay hidden with "line of sight blockers" as to not alert them to your presence. It can really catch people off guard when you approach a generator from the outer wall of the map (since its extremely unlikely a survivor is watching that way) and can net you a few more seconds of surprise stalk or a free hit.
Myers cannot "win" loops as his power doesn't really help him. Sure you can pop EW III to get that increased lunge distance but its risky as you could end up wasting the charge and still take a pallet to the face. You can however use that time to get free stalk as most survivors won't want to run away from the pallet and therefore will stay in a visible spot trying hopelessly to hide their body from your wandering eyes.
When you have EW III (and have 1 hit downed someone) it can be advantageous to leave them on the ground and hunt for someone else. Since people will be running scared of your 1 hit capabilities they will most likely not rush to heal their downed teammate. This will allow you to apply more pressure on the team.
Remember that corn is your worst nightmare!!! For some reason a survivor that you can clearly see becomes impossible to stalk once a few feet into a corn field. Don't waste too much time trying to squeeze in a few stalk ticks just to let that survivor escape you, instead if in a corn field I would recommend committing to a EW II chase and only going for stalk once out.
There are plenty of good YouTubers you can watch play Myers for other little tips/tricks such as Monto (mostly plays for fun) or Tru3talent (use to mostly play to win, still one of the more "focused" killer players).
I rarely seems to get notified when someone "@'s" me (thanks forums!) but if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Example: Friend 1 who is running a great item/add-on is about to be hooked for the last time and die, now instead of simply wanting to DC to save the item they now have a "incentive" to DC to give extra BP to their friends also.
Never doubt that people will exploit anything if they can get away with it, especially the salty/toxic people.

Hitboxes do need work as killer I can hit survivors when I know I shouldn't have and then there are times where it feels like I should have hit them but it didn't connect
The hit box issue is due to lag. Since the Killer provides the "host" connection for the match there is really nothing that can be fixed. They are getting dedicated servers I think sometime this summer (I could be wrong on the time) that will most likely remove this issue.
