I've already seen people jump into locker when i run to them to force me to cancel it. Thanks, i hate it.

And that nice Feral Frenzy stun is long enough to activate "Head on"...you know if anyone actually used it.

Basically a fun time for Legion.

I gave Legion more of a chance last night in the PTB and it turns out he isn't that bad 115% helps him out a ton in many situation. My big fear is console players and what will happen to them because playing Legion with a controller as well as the fps drops ect ect. Sometimes causes you to whiff no matter the killer.

115% just makes him a standard M1/R1 killer with a power that is incredibly situational to use. Really think they should have looked into changing his power as a whole and not just making him another basic bitc- uh killer.

  • Lets see how long it takes until the "Nerf Freddy" posts start back up after his rework, be it good or bad.

  • @Axelocke said:

It definetly crushed my end game Pig build, for sure. My concern is that these changes are only going to remove some killer diversity. I expect to see more Hillbillies and Nurses if they continue to unnecessarily harm the middle tier killers.

The problem is that this "collapse" doesn't fix any of the issues it was originally designed for. Having 3m (that can be extended to nearly 6m) doesn't really "speed up" survivors lagging behind in matches. Also adding the ability to close the hatch doesn't really matter since it is now even easier for survivor to get/use it. Then you have the Pig as an example that got hit with endgame nerfs due to this new endgame.

Look I'm barely invested in this game anymore (hence lack of posts/game time) but it still baffles me how the developers still don't take enough time to get community feedback BEFORE rolling changes like this out. They seem to try and "balance" everything to make everyone happy without really asking what people want. Before anyone starts saying "they do listen/people are all toxic and never happy" what I'm trying to say is the PTB is not enough time for them to take feedback and make community changes AND, as past PTBs have proven, next to nothing ever gets changed anyway.

I really hope BHVR has success with the launch of their next game (after DBD) and wish them the best but I pray they have learned to take things slower and to get their games foundation solid/bug free before they take on too many half baked promises.

"I won't read these hundreds of nerfs because I disagree with one of them" is all the reasoning I got. I figured maybe there was more to it?

Well your list did include some things that are not "nerfs" to killers because they were bugs that were not intended to happen. For example you said "- removed the killer's ability to be able to fly*" well that isn't a nerf, it was fixing an issue/bug that was never intended to exist. This is only one example of a handful in your list.

Please note I'm not attacking your list, as there are a ton of legitimate nerfs you listed, but you also added in "filler" like this that really detracts from any point you wished to make.

  • These are the end game perks that i believe will either be too strong in endgame collapse, have potential to work better with it, or won't work at all due to its introduction.

    Possible Wake Up/Leader meta!?

I am interested to see what people will do to solve this new situation (aside from DC).

Because they are extremely easy to come by. For my past five bloodwebs on Spirit I’ve gotten an ebony mori. There have been times where I’ve seen two or three Prayer Beads on one bloodweb. No add-on is that hard to come by. I can run the most OP add-ons and 4K every single time.

It’s just not very fun to go against. Tell me how fun it is to go against Iridescent Head, Prayer Beads, or a 5 blink Nurse.

It may not be overly difficult to get these things but I personally don't get a ton of games with a Mori or ultra-rare add-on. The few games I do are far outweighed by the games I don't. I also don't get many games with survivors running around with Purple flashlights or the "best" toolbox add-ons. It doesn't mean I don't get these lobbies but (again) the games I do are far outweighed by the games I don't.

@Larcz If you think I'm calling for a NOED nerf, relax. I was just curious as to it's effects in the new end-game.

Hopefully once more survivors realize doing totems is important they will also realize that NOED isn't OP like they claim it to be as it should be nullified in almost every match and should only work vs new players. (not to bunch all survivors into this category, there are good ones out there ^.^)

  • @KingB said:

@Peanits the problem with that is you can run across the map but you dont know which gen is being worked on. It wouldnt be that annoying because if the killer had all 5 tokens they probably have at least 1 kill in which case a 3 gen is going to be hard to deal with anyways. Plus it will be wasteful to kick a gen under 30%. It will take longer yes but not anymore annoying than 3 gens are already.

Add in that if you come across another survivor along the way you now have to decide to go for a chase or keep going for that gen.

  • @TheRoyalOwl said:

I dont really get the idea behind complaining about getting free hits on someone, I like bodyblockers as they usually allow me to get a hit or two in and still hook someone.

Exactly! You can typically get 1-2 free hits, drop the survivor on your shoulder (sure you might not get a hook but you got free hits and wasted LOADS of time) and continue a chase immediately.

Well if you listen to any popular survivour streamer a lack of diversity is killing there interest in the role. So they want other killers to play against. However a large amount of killers are built to be "fun" and not meant to be competitive. Which means currently only about 3 killers are really capable of facing high rank survivours.

Of course there will be exceptions where a really good player is styling on other high rank survivours with a crap killer purely because they make no mistakes and get lucky with a map. But as said they are not the average game for that killer.

I know DBD doesn't have the player base to support a casual/rank split but the "fun" aspect of the game is lost for some when you are constantly being forced to stare at a ranking/performance review after every single match you play. I'm not competitive in this game so it isn't a huge bother but I can easily see how this could bring out a more competitive nature (thus wanting everything to be viable) in some players.

  • I feel I am one of the very rare survivors that will NOT break a Huntress Lullaby totem because it actually makes doing a generator more enjoyable... Unless you are playing a Doctor...I'm not a complete masochist. 😁

  • Seems this is what the majority want, so just do it and get it over with already. "No one said that!" Yes, yes they have. On dozens of threads. Go look.

I have been on these forums for a long time and aside from this thread I've yet to see anyone saying 1 DC should = a permaban. Seems you are either not fully reading what people want or are adding a ton of exaggeration in an attempt to get some drama from it. Mission accomplished I suppose.

Please try to contribute something worthwhile and not something based on your personal frustrations of mechanics in the game. They pinned this for a reason! It means the devs are more than likely WATCHING this thread!

This will be my only response to avoid thread clutter, but from what I'm seeing you haven't contributed anything to this thread other than going after other people. I was simply trying to get a smile from someone. 😁

    Have a nice day!

  • I thought I recognized you! You helped me to my car after I got to number 34 on my list.

  • @Anevian said:

What if it was something like:

After a generator is completed, hope is activated for a duration of 10-15 seconds (keeping it at the 5/6/7% movement speed or perhaps lowering it overall since it has much more up time potentially) at the cost of reducing the time of it being active in the endgame by 30 seconds or so. Or perhaps have the midgame movement speed be something like 3-4% but also have the perk give ~10% action speed while active as well.

Just some thoughts. Though I could see a 4 man swf being able to communicate with their runner to stagger gen pops to get the most time with it in a chase.

I feel it would be beneficial if they merged weaker perks together to sort of buff the perk AND reduce the amount of clutter we get in the bloodweb.

For example merge Hope and No one left behind.

When has ANYONE ever popped all the gens at one time lol

and IMO, Hope is fine as is. It gives you JUST enough speed to be able to outrun most killers at the end of the game and I think it works well.

When Pig was first released waiting until all gens (or most) were at 99% WAS the meta. If a perk that could benefit the idea was implemented it would be a very easy thing to bring back.

I would HATE that spine chill effect

Then it sounds like my career at BHVR is set ^.^

  • Not sure I'd change my answer ^.^

  • I sort of like the idea of a pro/con give/take approach to perks.

    Spine Chill

When a killer is facing your direction and within 36 meters get a "PING" notification of their location. After a 3 second delay the killer will receive a "PING" notification of you location during the initial perk trigger. This effect can only happen every 30/25/20 seconds.

"A chill ran down my spine and I swear I could feel distant eyes upon my back! Heeding to my guts warning I fled, but I fear it can smell the sweat on my brow." - Unknown

    Franklin's Demise

When hitting a survivor holding an item the item is dropped causing it to lose 0/5/10% durability and also giving you a buff depending on the item dropped.

Flashlight: Seeing their light fade brings joy to the void in your heart. Your resistance to being blinded is increased by 0/3/6% for 20 seconds.

Medkit: Life is always painful. You can hear the pains of injured survivors from a greater distance and with stronger clarity. Hearing distance increased by 2/4/6 meters and sounds of healing increased by 6/8/10% for 20 seconds.

Toolbox: Knowing what tools seek to fix what you have undone fuels your hatred for progress. Regressing generators are 5/10/15% faster for 20 seconds.

Map: Such rudimentary mapping brings forth a more animalistic instinct. Each survivor leaves different colored scratch marks for 20 seconds.

Key: They seek to undermine your ritualistic fun, make them suffer. For 5/10/15 seconds all generator sound/progress is hidden from survivors not directly working on them.

All items (listed above) are 10% more effective for survivors and are not lost upon death.

I by no means balanced the % of the perks but just wanted to throw out a couple of fun ideas.

  • @Nickenzie

    Killer

    Forceful Stability (R)

All survivors are forced to stay in the trail until everyone has escaped or died. Disconnecting becomes unavailable this trial.

"You thought this was a game!? Let's see you laugh now!" - Unknown

    Survivor

    Reversal of Fortune (R)

If you or a teammate is hooked AND face-camped during the trial the killer will become immobile for 2 minutes and forced to watch the remaining team members perform their "Butt dances".

"You think you're tough? Let us show you who really runs this show!" - Theodore "Butt Dancer" Jenkins

No, survivors are still OP and need even more buffs ;)

My biggest question is; who gets the DC bonus when that Claudette leaves?

  • The nicest thing I've even done...hmmmm.

Well when I was being born I didn't make my mother suffer a long labor and instead only took 3 hours to deliver as appose to my younger sister who would take nearly 13 hours.

I still haven't gotten a single thank you...

He just seems boring to me. I'm more of a Hybrid Panda fan his commentary is much more entertaining and I feel like he puts more effort in his vids.

This is true as Panda and others have some sort of theme or central idea for their videos be it "Shrine Watch" or Monto's "Build" matches. Tru3 is more about uploading all his matches and just having a casual conversation with his chat while he plays. If you are not invested in his chat then the videos feel less inclusive/fun. I still get enjoyment from his channel.

Monto is still top Bae though.

  • @se05239 said:

He comes off as arrogant and a know-it-all. I know from watching him that he's sorta absent minded and keep mixing up perks, what they do and such.. and then over-complicating how killers actually work (although only on their release).

However, he's not a salty #########-talker or go out of his way to make the game miserable for everyone else. He just wanna play and have fun.

The funny thing is if people watched more than a single video they would realize that his "arrogant/know it all" appearance is often joked at by himself since he constantly admits or jokes when he messes up.

I feel (personally) one of the biggest reasons (aside from the first point you made) people may dislike him is because he use to have very big opinions on the game and has only recently toned this down in videos. Its one of the main reason people seem to dislike TydeTime too I find, beside him also being a pretty decent DBD figure.

  • I know this was a bug with KYF but is this just regular matchmaking? If so could this be a possible leak for 2v8!?!? (I know its not but lets get people hyped!)

  • I guess we get a sneak peak at the new...uh...killer early?

  • Since it doesn’t really increase the range of grunts but rather makes them more audible and possibly screwing your sense in the process.

Think it depends on your tracking style and the killer you are playing.

Spirit can make the most of the perk since she physically cannot see survivors in her phase walk, thus hearing becomes a must.

Myers can make some use of this since your low TR lets you stalk them by sound without necessarily giving your position away (honestly Nurses Calling is just better)

Billy is an odd one but with how loud that chainsaw is you would be surprised how many grunts I've heard while moving across the map. Its a great way to know you just passed someone you may not have seen directly and allows you to suddenly stop and find them.

I personally find it easy to mark targets by sight (use to play a ton of FPS games) and its not too difficult to determine most likely hiding places. If you are someone who prefers sound tracking try the perk out!

  • The new Alert. Rarely do I see it being used but as a solo player I find the information great since the only reason I ever used bond was to get a feel for where the killer was based on survivors running. Alert also helps me sneak around a gen should a killer give it a kick before hunting for me.

  • Are we really at the point of complaining about bond now?

    ...I'm going back to work.

  • I just wonder with the two options for attack and shock does that make for interesting gameplay?

I think next to (maybe) Myers that Doc has the largest build variety and thus a ton of different ways to torment.

  • @Peanits

Possibly close this? Its just shinning light on a figure I though we finally left in the dark.

  • Too much...love...need more...HATRED!

  • *Stalkwing Inwensifies?*

  • I don´t know how many times it has been brought up, but i have not seen it since i joined. Which is your favorit map?

    I really like Rotten Fields.

In fact here is an image of me chasing a Claudette!...I mean....I think I'm still chasing her...

    image.png

  • Won't be an issue once Dedicated servers get here. The reason you don't get points is because the Killer in question is closing the application (or pulling internet plug) and not using the "quit game" button. Since the Killer is providing the host client for the match if they quit out (by the means listed above) the game ceases to be and all that data is lost.

  • Just curious to see what the breakdown is like here. I'm on PS4. Bonus question: do you plan on getting the Switch version? Current tally.. PC: 8 PS4: 4 Xbox:

Just got my Razor Breadwinner toaster a few days ago so I'll now be playing all my games on this bad boy!

    image.png

As for the switch version...I guess once this thing is fully functional I'll buy it!

    image.png

  • When you guys charge shock therapy, do you aim directly at survivors? Or do you aim at what they're running towards?

    Glad you asked!

    image.png

As a Doctor main I mostly study survivor psychology and determine a reasonable solution for their troubles. Just the other day I had the lovely Feng Min in my chair and I recorded her tails of woe. Once done I used my questionable medical training to determine the best treatment.

    image.png

Sadly many of them do follow my instructions and seem to require my services fewer and fewer times...

Thankfully I have been taking courses for fixing small appliances and electrical repairs so I will soon have a second source of income!

  • but you got ruin to be the same on every rank but you got a new perk that makes it so it blocks the gen for like 120 sec but you got ds buffed feel free to…

    When Survivors complain about tunneling

    but you got Borrowed Time

    but you got MoM

    but you got Adrenaline

    but you got DS still

but you got- I think you get the point, if we all attack one another this fight will never end. There is only one thing we ALL share and that's a love hate relationship with DBD.

  • @bradys44 said:

I think it shows you killed them too fast and the game ended. Your brutality is low and you got bronze for chase. The game shouldn't reward when a killer an additional pip at 8 against a team like that.

    Sounds fair to me.

Sorry your son/daughter finished her exam much faster than the other kids, sure their marks were amazing but because they finished so fast we feel its only fair we hold them back. I hope you understand.

  • So it seems like a lot of people go really easy on newer players to make their game more fun. Do you personally do that, and why do you or do you not?

Really depends. Typically in low ranks (reset) I play gimmick builds so my goal isn't to kill but to reach some sort of external goal I set for the match. In this case I'll often let 1-2 people go or will make it very easy for everyone to ultimately escape.

Once I hit mid to high ranks (if I'm against people really trying to win) I'll match their competitive nature with my own. Should I get a group of SWF doing gimmick builds too then its more about having fun.

  • @GrootDude said:

DVD? I know what a dvd is but I think you meant dbd man.

No that's the core issue here. Killers are forced to watch outdated DVDs while survivors are streaming Netflix...

At least I think that's what we are going for?

  • @BBQnDemogorgon said:

The devs have so much ######### going on its ridiculous.

People want to dc to derank and find matches without waiting for 30 minutes.

While one side wants to punish everyone who DCs by banning them.

What a ######### position to be in bhvr

I think the biggest issue is that they are so focused on delivering new content rather than fixing the foundation the game is built upon. The vast majority of people (I'm very confident) would rather forgo a new killer release if it means getting core mechanics/age old bugs fixed.

I just really wish BHVR would realize they need to fix what currently plagues DBD before adding new releases that only add to the growing list of bugs. Focus please on making the game work properly!

  • When will 360 be fixed? Now and so the imbalance in favor of surv, with pallets and windows from the walking maniac, you can run away for five minutes.

The problem with people who struggle with 360s is that they either A: lunge or B: look to far upward on their screen.

Its not uncommon to be caught off guard by a 360 once or twice if you don't expect the survivor to try but a 360 is very much the same as a Dead Hard that doesn't have immunity frames. Simply don't lunge and get a few steps closer for that easy to line up lock on swing. You can also look down a little towards the ground to better center the survivor on your screen allowing you to more easily keep them there.

Really don't see 360s being an issue at all unless you are still new to the game, inexperienced against this old tactic or maybe are having a bad ping game.
