I've had far more survivors leave a lobby than killers and yet everyone cries bloody murder when dodged in a lobby. Sure it can suck because the wait times are sometimes horrible but I'm not playing a match that won't be fun (ping/4 man toolbox). As a survivor I'm also not staying in a lobby if I get a message to join another game, get a survivor I know did nothing last match or decide I can't actually hold my pee like I thought.
I would rather someone leaves during the lobby instead of screwing an entire match by DCing.

Yeah really dislike that you can still have someone escape a match with 5 untouched gens just...because.

I don't play Demo, all BP i spend for Nancy and I don't know how good he is. Is he really so bad?!
Steep price for a character that isn't great, perks that are mostly laughable and characters many still don't really care about.
To clarify that last part what I mean is that these characters don't hold the same "oomph" as the classics do with popularity.

Increase terror radius when you pick them up??? What’s the purpose
Considering the perk mentions "Your lust for the kill increases" I guess it just makes sense that your TR increases with your sheer blood-lust intensity.

Generators completed while the trap is active will reduce the timer a set amount. No less than a quarter of the Trap timer removed. No more than half removed.
Rules set no.2 applied as base kit. (Optional)
Possible results -
SWF forced to stop working on generators to not risk killing ally.
Punishes survivors who ignore the trap.
Pig is given significant game slowdown.
Traps feel threatening instead of a gag.
Idea:
Survivor effect when Trap is placed on head.
"Arousal" - You like a woman with power and feel an incredible sense of bliss and lust when placed in a dominated position. While a trap is on your head your cries of agony are 100% louder.
When the trap is active you shake uncontrollably with anticipation of your mistresses will, this effect doubles when searching through a Jigsaw box.

And parties staying together. Why is that?
I only really play solo so I haven't gotten to use any of that. Is it working as advertised? Seems like people would be more excited about it but maybe we're a bunch of solo survivors here.
Buggy, annoying for solo players and most SWF are toxic and don't actually like one another. Now they are forced into lobbies together making them feel the toxicity around them and forcing them to face the fact that THEY are the real monsters....all this physiological trauma causes them intense mental agony as they curl up in the corner of their rooms, huddled under a blanket crying endlessly for someone to save them from the torment they feel inside...
Oh did I say its buggy yet?

I am a low red ranks killer (4), trying to get the achievement to reach rank 1. At the red ranks, it becomes obvious that survivors are heavily favored in the current state of the game (at least at the high tiers when they've learned what to do) by the developers.
I will be against sets of them all with adren, DS, or borrowed time (and who know how to use those perks well) on and off comms. My favorite killer is the clown, but sure, I down a my first person (if I'm lucky 2) and 2 gens are done by then (with ruin on of course - they don't bother to cleanse it unless it is obvious). Survivors can hit the skill checks and typically group on the gens even if I chase one off (and done em) so as to still finish. Sure, I stall them with pop goes the weasel and typically can get one kill at least to safety pip, but the effort it takes is crazy!
Then I go spirit, and the game feels fair. Normal loops which slow clown and waste time become possible to mind game and win quickly. You can speed across the big maps and have map pressure. Then, after the match, the survivors complain (sometimes DC) saying Spirit isn't "fair." I feel a little bad because I want everyone to have fun, but at the high ranks some of the killers just can't pressure enough against good (op in my opinion) survivors.
All in all, this seems like a big problem. I even sometimes hear the streamers complain about it too, and the community polls. So why do the developers favor the survivors?
My theory is that they pander to survivors because at the end of the day, there are always more survivors playing then killers (4 per 1 each match!). Then, the focus on "balancing" the middle ranks (theoretically where the majority of the players are).
I just wonder what of the game when they nerf nurse or spirit? If they never balance the high ranks, then what?
Sorry for the long post. It's just I had survivors rage at me post-game saying the spirit is so unfair (I wasn't even running beads). I barely got the 4 kill with only 1 gen remaining. It's mind blowing.
Here is where the true issue comes in, it isn't BHVR favoring Survivor vs Killer or vise-versa but rather that the game is "balanced" around mid rank players. For this reason high rank/skilled players can take these changes/balances and push them beyond their limits causing 1 side or the other to seem incredibly OP.
A rank 20 player with DS won't really make use of it however a rank 1 player with DS can turn a losing game around. This is why most games try to balance with the higher skilled players in mind so that nothing can become too much more than what they intended with balance.
-
Problem with BHVR saying "2k" is their intention with how they would like the average match to go is that their ranking system completely disagrees. Even in low ranks its damn near impossible to rank up with only a 2k.
I do not care for rank because I no longer play the game to the extent I use to and pretty much have everything unlocked, so the "fun factor" works for me. People who want to get to rank 1 however have to hunt that 4k and seeing as how DBD only has "ranked" as an option many people see safety/depip as a loss regardless of hitting that BHVR 2k.

I think that there should be two sets of daily rituals. One for survivors and one for killers. I really only play survivor so when i have three killer daily rituals it kinda blows
I get why they do this, as it sort of helps increase characters being played, and as someone who has everyone at lvl 50 with perks its not too bad. However for the majority of people who either haven't played since day 1 or who have lives outside of DBD they may get stuck with constant daily rituals for characters they don't have BP invested into.
I would also LOVE to see the "weekly rituals" come back. They use to reward like 100k-250k BP per completion. This would really help with the perk grind again and I honestly don't understand why they were removed in the first place.

If I have two survivors escape hooks at the same time am I expected to ignore half them to be nice? Do I just pretend like I didn’t hear the explosion while I’m patrolling gens that havnt been touched?
i would like to know from survivor mains what exactly you consider camping and tunneling, and what you think being hooked entitles you to. Because seemingly in purple and red ranks a lot of you feel like it’s a can’t hit a kid with glasses type situation and it’s becoming more frequent.
Had a friend who once accused a Freddy of " long distance camping" so honestly I don't think people will ever NOT complain. Just ignore it or do what I do and send meme pictures that make no sense to the context of the game or conversation. Typically I find on PS4 you don't get many messages at all, I honestly love them!

If you’re hit then bt also gives you a speed boost, Adrenaline gives a five second speed boost, DS and bt can also extend a chase, inner strength mainly works outside the chase.
Probably not "meta" but definitely strong in combo, Inner and DS. Hell add Head on and you guarantee a safe locker entry after a hook.

Honest question, there seems to be a concerted push of enthusiasm from people to have him as the next killer and I just don't get it. This is a game about slashers and people running away from them, not some entity of allegedly cosmic evil that hides in the sewers and gets foiled by its own poor self-esteem.
I admit my take on the character is pretty reductionist, but I'm genuinely curious to know where this passion is coming from. What is it about Pennywise that people like so much? Why do they think he would be a good fit for this game?
This is a matter of opinion, so I'm not going to argue with people's reasons for liking him. We're all allowed to like whatever we like, but I'm genuinely having trouble wrapping my head around this one.
Help me understand.
Because tell me this isn't scary ass #########!

Perks, intuition, killer powers (more or less on your skill), 3 gen strategy...
Yes and no.
Perks can help absolutely but the main thing that aids in "gen rushing" is the mobility of killers. For this reason many M1 killers are at a huge disadvantage with keeping proper pressure up. Add in the fact that some maps you have to run a whole football field between each gen.
Billy on an open map easily keeps "gen rushing" at bay but Trapper cannot.

Just a thought. Wouldn't it be handy for the Demogorgon to be able to tear up it's own portals. I have got down to zero remaining and if you want to reposition one, it seems you have to wait until a survivor breaks one of your remaining portals.
As the game goes on, the portal strategy will likely change (the need for portals near exit gates and the hatch instead of gens, for example).
I was surprised to learn Demo can't cancel his own portals. Please don't tell me I'm missing something here.
He can just turn around and kick sand on them like a dog does to a buried bone, because Demo is such a gOod BOy! Yes he is!

Generally I see one person get one shot and it's gone. I've never had a killer 1 hook 4 people with Haunted Grounds until just now, and it was brutal. One guy broke the totem immediately as I was walking to another person on a gen with Bond/Prove Thyself because gen rushing seems to be the only way I ever escape, which does not happen often even then unless SWF. Spirit comes out of the boat(we're on the swamp) and one shots me, then the person I was walking to on a gen, then manages to find the other person, and the David who broke the totem is over there in a corner and while I'm trying to recover for him to pick me up, he reveals himself a bit too early and gets in a chase. He didn't get one shot, but there was only one survivor left and it was pretty much over. I got 52 points that game, and all of us were one hooked. Has anyone else had this happen? Has anyone had this happen more often than once? Is this a unicorn game?
In low/mid-ish ranks simply having the "exposed" effect will stop people from even attempting generators, so the perk has good merit for use.
In upper mid to high ranks the perk does one of two things: A) It gets activated and maybe you get 1-2 downs (rarely more) and isn't too bad. Or it does B) Never gets triggered because somehow in a 1 in 3 chance they (seemingly always) get your Ruin first and never touch the other hexes.

I cannot confirm this to be your reason but I think Dying Light is still causing people to crash when it is used in a match. So if you (as killer) or the killer in your match are using it the game has a high probability to crash during someone getting hooked.

Which was changed for demogorgon.
2 arms 2 legs one head and potential to stand upright.
Cthulu does that. He also has tentacles.
Xenomorph fits it too.
Many, MANY, things that ARENT humanoid, are now able to fit, due to them bending their rules about "no monsters that werent at one point human" to "humanoid" to "2 arms 2 legs and a head".
Hell, the demo doesnt think for or control itself, and was shown to wall on all fours. If that doesnt exclude the demo, it doesnt exclude MANY options.
This is purely assumption as I clearly do not work at BHVR but I assume the fact that Demo's crawling was fine to animate is because it already fit onto the model for Hag. She too can stand (pallets breaking/gens) and crawls for most of the match.
I'm not saying they won't change the "no monster" thing in the future but so far they have stuck to the theme of humanoid.
I'm also not saying I don't want "monster" killers because I think that would open up a ton more creativity for original killers and open the doors for more licensed killers.

Finally, after decades, people are finally realizing how strong the perk is, and (Surprise) is stronger than balanced landing.
Actually It's been 2 weeks since I haven't played dbd, and I want to know:
Main killers, how are things with Dead Hard (at rank 1?) ?
Is more often used as a means to gain that small bit of distance to make a vault I would have normally hit them at, and sometimes to make me miss an attack.
I normally just assume everyone has DH the first chase I have with them so often its the second or third chase that would catch me off guard if they saved it.
Strong perk but it has a defined counter so I have no complaints...unless I'm playing console Nurse, then its just mean...

Having all his traps at the start would save him a lot of time searching.

Disney's The Lion King DLC sounds fun. The Scar could be the Killer, Survivor is Simba and map is Pride Rock.
Wouldn't the map be that "big shadowy place" Simba is never allowed to go to? Seems like the perfect hangout for a demonic-dimension shifting god-like entity to hang out.

It’s official. Demogorgon is live on all systems. He seems like a cool killer and all, but -sigh- he’s a beast, not a “person”.
It’s a slippery slope, and we’ve just lunged head-first down the slide. There is no longer any reasoning or tradition that BHVR can point to for justification in denying other beast killers. What’s next on the list?
- Werewolf? (Yawn)
- Grey Alien? (Please no)
- Dragon? (I mean, hey - why not? Literally every other game in existence has a dragon, so.....)
- Vampire? (Booooring! But now that creatures are allowed, you can’t use the “bat” form to justify a “no.”)
Please finish the list for me. What other trite, ubiquitous, overused, boring “killers” are now on the table with the unlocking of “beast mode”?
Feel free to list cool ones too. I could use some cheering up! 😏
Like @8obot1c (and I'm sure others) have said BHVR never said they are only making "human" killer but "humanoid". There is a big difference here.
I would assume it would be because they only want to make killers that can fit on the humanoid framework they currently use for all killers. If they had to change this to accommodate some sort of disfigured non-humanoid creature it would make a ton more work for the Dev team, and lead to even more bugs.

Dying Light in and of itself is a fine perk. Possibly even meta. However, the fact that Sloppy Butcher and Thanataphobia already exist is what creates the problem.
Just thinking about it here, if you have everyone injured and 6 stacks of Dying Light (i.e. you've two-hooked every non obsession) then that means there's a 34% debuff to everyone besides the obsession.
Okay. Okay. So, what's the problem you ask? Survivors should have longer generator times, what's the big deal?
Assuming you know the math for how charges work, this is what a full Thanat and 6 stack Dying Light looks like on a generator:
80 / ( (1-0.16) * (1-0.18) ) = 116.14
116 seconds to complete a gen. 36 additional seconds.
At that point it becomes nearly pointless. Survivors have to spend so much time on a generator that it's braindead for a Killer to win. The Killer has A LOT more time. Unless the Survivors have multiple toolboxes, they aren't going anywhere.
This is just one of many examples, but there are very many cases, all different than this, but along the lines of "massive debuff".
Given this, what should happen? Should we nerf the perks? Should we put a cap on how slow interactions can be? Should we increase base interaction time to allow for larger debuffs?
Feel free to comment what you think, criticize me, or call me an idiot.
"are going to lead to massive issues"
Wrong Dying Light is already causing the game to crash when hooking people.

Very old story I no longer know the original source.
"A couple with children were trying out a new babysitter. About an hour after they left for a night on the town, they realized they had forgotten to give her their cell phone number, so one of them called her.
After she wrote down the number, the babysitter asked if she could watch satellite TV in their bedroom. She had just put the children to bed and wanted to watch a particular show. (The parents didn’t want their children watching too much garbage, so the living room TV did not have satellite channels.)
Well of course she could watch TV in their room, they replied. The babysitter had one other request: could she put a sheet or blanket over the clown statue that was in the bedroom? It kind of made her nervous.
Take the children and go to the neighbors, said whichever parent was talking to her. We’ll call the police. We don’t have a clown statue.
The police caught the clown as he was running through the neighborhood."
....Have a good night! <3

Killers within the same tier are in no particular order.
Put Nurse in "B"
Spirit in "S" (Really no need for "SS" with consoles)
Swap Freddy and Huntress
and you have the console tier list.
