PS4 and my survivor games are a 0-2 minute wait tops with killer lobbies taking 5-8 minutes.
While waiting on my killer lobbies is annoying there are definitely players out there playing.

There are gens that I feel should get done first no matter what, for me it's:
- Mid gen (to split gens and start avoiding 3 genning the team)
- Basement area gen (cause you have to get rid of the dangerous zone gen for survs to avoid that zone)
- One person gen(s) (except in Hawkins, leaving the top one is best for last, easy far away gen to get the killers attention when there's just one gen left to fix)
I'm posting this cause it's amazing how even in purple ranks people do gens next to each other instead of "smart" picking which one to do.
Actually I've learnt that the gen you spawn next to is the worst gen to do, experienced killers go to that area ASAP, unless it's trapper, hag or Demo, they tend to place their "traps/portals" where they spawn first or next to Hexes
Agree and disagree with the "mid" gen as that depends on its position. If the middle gen is in a building with an upper floor OR has a less than idea travel distance for killers it might be best to keep it till last. Similar with what you said about Hawkins.

Won't that be hard since they have to give their firstborn to Satan in exchange for DBDs booming popularity? I could have sworn that was in the contract.

As GrootDude said, it also typically takes only a few minutes. I've only had it happen 3 times and every time it was "approved" within 5 minutes.

Like, when did it click for you? What makes a character enjoyable to you?
I’m just wondering because I like Jane because of her cosmetics, and I like Nancy since she was my fave from Stranger Things.
I've always been a horror fan so when they added Myers into the game (my favorite horror character of all time, with Jack Skeleton a close second) I knew he would become my favorite killer.
As for original killers I fell in love with Doctor because of how many different builds he has. My favorite Doctor build is "Sniper Doc" with "Impossible Skillchecks" as a close second.
My favorite survivor is Feng (use to be Claudette because I liked her cosmetics). The reason I choose Feng as my favorite is due to the amazing matches I had in the past while playing her. She sort of became my "main" survivor simply due to those crazy moments.
As an honorable mention I have to put Ace (specifically with the Leopard shirt) as I have yet to ever lose a match (escape) while wearing it!

I agree tbagging doesn't bother me, I was just pointing out that hitting people on the hook is the same "BM" as tbagging.

To be honest, Im pretty dissapointed by this. I understand being "fair" towards players who did not buy the battle pass, but I think that the dedicated players deserve SOMETHING more than casuals. I may be entitled or whatever, but that's what makes the Battle Passes so tempting and satisfying in other games, the feeling of getting something other people won't have. Atleast for me ... What do you think ?
@Peanits said:
Some of the rewards will stay exclusive, others will be available in the store later on. Exclusive stuff always comes at the cost of leaving out anyone who wasn't there at the time, so we try not to do too much exclusive stuff. You'll get way more value out of earning them through The Rift than you would by buying them individually, though, and that's without even considering that you can make your cells back.
While I don't mind the idea of having some exclusive stuff for people who pay its not always possible. Sure Peanits said "leaving out anyone who wasn't there at the time" but a lot of us work normal jobs with normal bills who cannot afford dropping cash on a game all the time.
I can except I won't own everything a game has to offer for these reasons but if you lock too much away it starts to feel like I'm being treated poorly for not having money rather than time.

I really don't feel like it's necessary and I don't think a battle pass should be in any survival horror game. It just doesn't fit with DBD and I really dislike it. DBD is taking a huge different direction but I'm not sure if I am liking it.
I don't mind the rift (haven't seen a whole lot yet) as it gives you some challenges (admittedly brain-dead easy ones, so far) and should apparently provide some more lore to the game.
The Battle Pass however I'm not a fan of. During the "poll" BHVR held I voted "No" for the Battle Pass.

You sound like you take teabagging way too seriously. It's been a thing for decades but only in DBD you'll see people constantly whining about teabagging.
It's not "disrespect" at all. It's just a game. It's a way of saying "haha I beat you". If you get offended by it, it is entirely your fault.
If you write "gg ez baby killer" and those sorts of messages in the chat then that's disrespectful.

Dedicated Servers are being live-tested right now, right?
I haven't noticed any difference. Probably because I'm always laggy, so the DS Lag is normal for me. So are they being tested right now on all games? When did the test start?
That's the problem some people are experiencing lag like I have never seen before with action taking 10 or more seconds to even register or teleportation/invisibility, while others are seemingly fine. Yes not everyone seems effected to the same level but the matches I've seen from the people who are take the issues of connectivity FAR beyond the current peer to peer system.
I feel they still have a lot of work to do until dedicated servers will be an improvement over our current system.

If someone leaves the game it's their choice whether you like it or not. You can't force someone to just stay in a match. (IMO you are just being an Entitled player to think that someone has to stay). Regardless of what their motive are whether it's deranking, prayer beads, iridescent head, be tunneled, be camped, optimal survivors, whatever it may be etc. If they don't wanna stay they don't gotta stay. Now I'm not saying it's okay to DC and I'm not saying that it's not okay DC, all i'm saying is its just not a big deal like people make it out to be LIKE seriously who really cares, why do you even care anyway. The whole it screws over you teammates is the most dumbest and complete BS excuse I've ever heard and probably 70% of survivors who say it probably are the ones who feels they can't survivor unless everyone is there. I'm sorry, but newsflash not everyone is going live the entire match every game. If you are decent at the game someone leaving the match shouldn't be a big issue to you. If you aren't that confident and feel that you aren't gonna live long just move on to your next match. It shouldn't be your teammates that may get you the victory, but your skill to a decent survivor that can run and by time for your remaining teammates to get the job done. If you died you died, If you escape you escape there are hundreds more ahead of you and some of those games someone is bound to leave match at some point for whatever reason they may had. You aren't gonna stop people from leaving matches and thinking that a harsh punishment is going to solve it because it will not. There are millions of team based game why should DBD be any different.
A good example I like to use is Call of duty Zombies sometimes you start with three man and sometimes two man, but majority of the time you start with all four people together in spawn. Your killer are the Zombies if someone leaves the game guess what that's one less person that could have potentially save you helped you or the game is still gonna register as 4 people are in the game and 2x-3x the amount of zombies will continue to spawn throughout the game regardless of how many people are still left in the game similar to if someone leaves in the beginning of the game that's one last person going for a save and 5 generators are still gonna be there. It's up to the remaining players to make the best of what they are stuck with because complaining about isn't and trying to punish it isn't the answer. Just play the game and people fail to realize you do have to play the match if you are bother by not playing a 4 man game - (killer or survivor) you only losing -1 pip that you can easily get back. I'm not trying to encourage you to just leave every game, but you don't have the option as long as it's there. It's your choice to make.
Actually there is a reason that DC punishment is a thing in nearly every game and that is to stop people from DCing (en mass) and interrupting everyone else's experience.
Like others have said if you need to DC from a cheater or real life event its understandable. This is also usually taken into account and why most "anti-DC" systems don't punish you the first few times. Once people start abusing DC as a means to earn easy matches or get out of a match they don't find favorable for them they are ruining the experience of everyone involved. If we allowed DCing to go unpunished (cough DBD cough) people would begin to DC for nearly any reason they deem acceptable and ruin the match for those trying to enjoy the game.
Sure you can say "I'm entitled" wanting people to DC needlessly in my games but I (just like them) bought the game and in return expect most of my matches to be played normally. If you (as a developer) don't want a large amount of your player base leaving your game then you need to make sure the best possible experience is available to everyone and abusing the use of DC ruins it for everyone.

Removing collision would remove more counterplay than it adds. Let's think of a scenario. You're against a Spirit without collision. You run to a safe window to avoid her power, however she phases through you and cuts you off, and you get hit.
If she had collision, she would have ran into you, and you would've had at least a chance of not being hit.
Just like old "Race car Wraith" use to do before the change.

I think the idea is that if you take only survivor cosmetics in the first half for example, all the killer cosmetics will be in the second half. You would still have access to everything but you get to pick which item you want to obtain when.
If this was the case I can see your point as this would allow choice while still offering the full package.
I'd rather we didn't have a Battle Pass system (and I voted "No" in the poll) but its here now...
-
@Gibberish said:

This isnt cutting the number of cosmetics you get with the pass in half, its just giving more choice.
You will still get the same 30 (I think? Whatever the number is.) you get normally, but now you can choose to get Survivor-only cosmetics, or Killer-only cosmetics.
Exactly my point. So for example I play both 50/50 and get to choose between Claudette Skin or a Myers Skin.
Well damn I like both of them and I play both of them, now I have to choose only 1? Sigh..
This is the problem I'm referring to and what I mean when I say 1/2 the cosmetics.
-
I agree with the first part you said in regards to people who may play one side vs the other and won't be interested in specific cosmetics.
BUT
There are lots of people who play both sides who may not like the fact that they are getting locked out of 1/2 the cosmetics they may like.
Not so sure this fix would be "easy".
-
@twistedmonkey said:
How does the battlepass affect how you enjoy the game? It's purely cosmetics which most if not all will be released on the store after 6 months.
The only thing in this game that affects gameplay is the DLC.
If you don't wish to buy it enjoy the free stuff. The battlepass is a want for some if they like the cosmetics but its never a need.
And lets not forget that (aside from licensed dlc) all the killers and survivors can be purchased for free AND the perks all eventually end up in the Shrine.
I hate having to pay for things (since I work a normal job with normal bills) but this is a game that offers everything for free quite reasonably and I haven't seen anything too greedy yet.

- People have always complained about Spirit. Just most of it was overshadowed by Legion, who was much worse.
- Making a problematic add-on ultra rare, does not change the fact that the add-on is still problematic.
What if Prayer Beads made it so every "X" amount of seconds or "at random intervals" the survivor would hear the "whooshing sound" Spirit makes even when she isn't near. This would make the survivors paranoid every time they hear it but could still work to the Spirits benefit if the survivor decides/thinks the real "whoosh" was a fake.
Hopefully that made sense.
-
There is no "easy fix" for SWF.
I do not want SWF to be removed because while there are many sweaty and toxic teams out there we also have many casual friends who play together. With that being said though SWF even on a casual base does provide a far superior advantage than running solo.
It would be unfair to punish people for wanting to play with a friend (this is why a separate queue would not work).
Its unfair to expect a killer to take on this disadvantage as we have it now (this is why lobby dodging cannot be punished).
No matter what BHVR does to tackle this problem it won't be quick and it sure as hell won't be easy.

Medkits got nerfed overall, don't know what you mean about it being buffed. Also nurse is not as bad as people say she is. She charges her additional blinks while in fatigue, so it's not that big of a deal imo.
Its not a big deal if you use her two green add-ons since this allows your blinks to pretty much be ready once your fatigue is up. BUT without using those add-ons she simply cannot catch up to survivors unless in a tight space where they cannot run far away.
I'm also not a fan of the notion that Killer A is "fine" when using add-ons because this requires a constant BP investment on a RNG bloodweb to maintain. I know many people have already said this but, because the blinks can no longer be used as a reasonable means of traversal/catch-up her base speed needs to be 105% at minimum. Even then I still think the blinks got hit hard but at least you won't lose ground while waiting for the second blink timer with a base movement speed increase.
Another thing no one ever mentions is the fact that the Nurse change just took the 4 PS4 players who actually enjoyed Nurse and removed them from the game. This nerf hits console players very hard.

Yeah I guess you're right. Maybe once DCers actually get punished.
I honestly don't care what happens to Moris on a personal level because I just don't use them. I'm not a fan of the fact that they completely skip a large portion of the game (Ebony specifically). While I'm fine with the Ivory and the yellow one no one uses, I'll use them only as my daily rituals require.

What if the generators themselves had an "aura effect" that caused the exhaustion status when within the radius?
Would make it difficult to loop near a generator location (if running exhaustion perks) and would still do the original function the perk sort of failed at.
I'm not sure what would be an appropriate aura range and this aura would have to not be vertical so as to make "The Game" or "Hawkins" busted.
-
-Unhooked = 60 second DS timer (if running perk)
-Another survivor is hooked = You lose your DS timer
-You were slugged before that other survivor was hooked = You kept your 60 second timer (still ticking down as it should have when it first triggered but doesn't instantly disappear since you were slugged before the other got hooked.)
This would make it so you have protection of being 2 hooked within a 60 second window unless the killer hooked someone else. It would also prevent the killer from simply slugging you and another, and instantly hooking you again.
It would also not punish the killer for finding the original DS user after hooking another survivor, and would make the idea of using DS as "invincibility" more of a risk.

New survivor and it seems about 85% of games you get at least one person to DC when there are 4-5 gens still left. At this point unless everyone is on point its gg. I just suicide on the hook at that point usually.
We need a gen to pop per DC or some other mechanic, 3 hits to down or something....
Anyone else seeing this?
They simply need to punish people who DC. Sadly if you add in a mechanic that gives the remaining survivors a "boost" (such as the gen or hit ideas as you mentioned) it will get abused by SWF groups.
I'm not saying this to make all SWF sound toxic, they are not, but there are loads of people out there who try and exploit every little thing they can.

You must have because I had a match 3 days ago where I was downed by a Leatherface. Once he downed me he ran over to pick the last guy up and hook him, during which I crawled to the hatch and could not open it with my skeleton key (Thank You Plunders!) and had to wait for it to open when the guy died.
I've had this situation happen a handful of times myself as its not a typical situation to find yourself in.
