As I mentioned in another post it should be 2 shrines at the most, but the shrines highlighted to save your team would be furtherest from the KILLER and the SURVIVOR. To keep it fair.
-
Not everyone is going to like looping the new killer. That goes for any killer. Which is why we have variety.

They can skyrocket your mmr all they want but the soft cap is so low it won't matter. The skill difference between actual cap and soft is massive so matches will just be mixed. It practically only exists to keep just freshed installed players out of the pool and if queue times are bad enough well they get in anyways.
How do you know this?
Is this speculation or has BHVR released official ranges on this data?

It should do the opposite honestly. You should gain more MMR points because of certain playstyles. Same with hard tunneling. I've done my fair share of full team slugging when everyone was injured, out of position, and easy to nab. This should raise my MMR even more because I'm not approaching the game casually in these cases. Sweaty tactics should make you sky rocket.
But I do fear it's the opposite if they're going on your ability to spread hooks. If that's the case, the wincon should also be changed to hook amounts.
Mandy did at least state that slugging will increase your MMR. There were “rumors” that it would actually decrease it and according to Mandy this isn’t true at all. So that’s good to hear.
For all the infectious fright, Distressing Clourphobia blights, ghouls, or any killer that does this. Have at it.

Then just give us information on what exactly influences the MMR. Telling us nothing clear doesnt help anyone. For gods sake stop being picky on MMR and just show us how it works. We havent seen any reasonable argument so far to hide it and make games worse for everyone.
Work on a gen and do well in your chases. Your MMR will go up. Help your team to the best that you can.

Perfect. Thank you.

It does not work. People have been t-bagging, emoting, and all stuff and never got blocked. When is it even suppose to be triggered ?
It has to be 3 consecutive tea bags all within 10 meters of you facing the survivor. It could also be 3 finger pointing's.
Its been working for me just fine.

Maybe I misunderstand the calculations? The generator will take 61 seconds to regress, right?
Normal generator regression speed is -0.25 charges/second
With a generator at 89 charges ("99'd") Lay Waste will regress it at 178% faster than normal:
Lay Waste Regression Rate: 0.25 * 2.78 = 0.695 charges/second
89 * 0.695 = 61.85 seconds
It takes nearly 6 (Slightly Less) minutes for a gen to fully regress to nothing at full. 4 minutes for call of brine. 2 minutes for Lay Waste..A 1 minute and 45 seconds for Call of Brine and Lay waste.
-
It takes a full 2 minutes for the Gen to regress from 99.99% to 0 Charges. No survivor is going to let the gen regress like that for free for 2 minutes.
I think the perk is fine as is in my humble opinion.
-
I would disagree. It's got a pretty hefty cooldown. It can't be spammed.
-
It works just like Pyramid Head's Cages.
-
I am still playing Judgement a lot. :)
I’ll switch between her, Houndmaster and Sadako.
I am waiting for them to fix Houndmaster.

The Judgment
Needs an active ability that is easier to use, or a new active ability,
rather than the current extreme values."Extreme" sounds like to me, just too hard to take the time to learn. I am already having some great matches as her, I know you have your opinion about her power and that's fine, but they don't need to change anything about it.
-
I'm sorry, but what are you talking about…
-
He's an A tier killer.
-
Umm…Who's gonna tell him there is directional sound audio from up to 25+ meters away and even further an aura that the power is traveling towards you..
-
The killer isn't weak. You just don't know how to use her yet. The lack of experience makes you weak, not the killer. You want those kills earn them. If you want something brain-dead easy go play Legion.
-
She's a strong killer. She can hold up against a SWF. Is she hard to play? Yep. Sure is. This is gonna take some time but thats okay.

Ah I see what you mean, maybe increase distance between the shrines and make survivors spawn at the further of the two shrines from The Judgment?
Yea, that could work.
-
@pidgeon said:
I think its fine, but shrines should be spread out more in order to make it harder to camp. Otherwise you would never have survivors on your side of the map.
Yeah I get that but I still don't think survivors should appear right in front of me. That doesn't seem fair.

Post some gameplay. I might be able to offer you some tips to see where things are going wrong for ya. If you want.

The comments on the controls for The Judgment makes me so happy to hear!
Yeah - those settings are a W BHVR. Definitely think it’s a good idea down the line to offer settings like this to other killers for sure.
It’s a great idea! 💡

Good for you people are dodging my beams with ease and are teabagging me
I hate it for ya. She only came out today. Practice. She's not easy.
-
Based on my matches against her, I would say no. I can see the beam quite far away so I know where to dodge and when. Midwitch is a little trickier at least for me but on the game, Hawkins and RPD, I have had some good matches against her on Survivor.

Yeah they were referring to flicks and stuff, its not too bad once you get used to it I still miss em a bit though. (I'm assuming they were talking about slingshot)

It takes a few games, but I recommend going for them 24/7 as I can now hit them pretty consistently on my Xbox controller
You're talking about the Sling Shot Tech yeah?
-
@Hoopme said:
I think she's playable on Console and controller I'm just not gonna be able to pull off the trick flicks like pc players do
Sure you can. If I can do it, you can too. Just up your sense in the settings. :)

Really? I've been having lots of fun against her. Trying to constantly dodge her beams is pretty engaging if you ask me. And I don't think her zoning potential is particularly great.
Same. ^
She's been a blast to go against, no pun intended. Unlike Ghoul or Jason.

@Piruluk said:
There arent enough players to have 2 permanent mode.
Its even admitted that playerbase so small that mmr often ignored just to give fast enough matchmaking.
I wouldn't say the playerbase is too small. On AVG there is 70-100k people playing this game a month. I do think one permanent game mode like 2v8 would be fun but no more than 2 at a time until they can figure out queue times.

@pidgeon said:
Has Lay Waste been getting much value? I haven't tested it yet.
I really like lay waste. I have gotten a lot of value. I just make sure they cant go back to that gen for a moment while I give the gen time to regress a little bit since there is a cooldown which is fair because the perk is strong.
-
@pidgeon said:
Finally! Someone said it, Judgment is VERY console friendly I have been getting loads of kills and having loads of fun with her on my Xbox. I haven't messed with the settings much as I'm pretty used to max sensitivity since it lets you Insta 180 flick anyways.
What's been your favorite build/perk combo? I've been running Lethal Pursuer Deerstalker Celestial Witness and Gearhead paired with Auroras Telereceptor. Its a weird combo I discovered shortly after her release where after you hit someone with power you get 8 seconds of aura reading allowing for super easy two taps.
My favorite perk combo on her is Survelliance, Oppression, Lay Waste, and Nowhere to hide. Followed by "BlindFold of the devoted" and "Auroras Telereceptor" :D
-
@SkeletonDance said:
What % of sensitive do you use on her? Feels like 100% is overkill
Yeah 100% was WAY to fast so I tried 75%..That was also too fast..I have settled at 60% so far. :D

its a slight change from the way it was coupled to the Delay State (so the time before Divine Light becomes lethal) in the PTB. It is now not linked to that at all (meaning things can be balanced seperately). It might well be that the number isn't completely accurate but the Team felt this was a safe number to start with to see how players understood the curve window in comparison to the PTB.
The number being adjustable will mean we can easily make adjustments.
Thank you for the clarity and the follow up statements on Reddit. I am looking forward to playing The Judgement. 5 Million BP and 150k Iri shards to spend!

This is an adjustable number, so it is something we can edit - its not set in stone
I am not sure I understand why it was changed to begin with if there is any clarity to add. As mentioned. It was already tough in closer loops. Also survivors still now, have a good heads up with White Aura from far away showing their going to be hit by a celestial beam. It almost feels as if I am a little doomed either way I play the Character.
I guess to be clear, how does BHVR want us to play this killer? How is she supposed to be played?

Was scrolling through the add ons and remembered knotted rope exists.
Are they still planning on reworking it?For those who don’t know it was 40% faster M1 recovery after hitting someone grabbed by snug on the PTB. Then nerfed to 10% for her live release, and then nerfed further to 2% where it still remains, and was promised to get a rework soon TM.
The devs later on had mentioned that the 2% is sufficient enough for a bonus. That they will not be adjusting it.
As a Houndmaster main - I personally disagree, which is why recently I did a addon on pass for her (Just addons) on the feedback side. -

You gain a screen notification when a pillar goes directly towards you. Like why? I mean I know why, and it's a stupid reason
Literally by increasing the aura range of the pillar was a good enough change
I don't agree with this change at all. Its very unnecessary.

Thank you!
I'll definitely have to try those builds out, I was already considering SBTFL and Rapid Brutality on her. Come to think of it, I bet she'd be pretty good with the Machine Learning + Help Wanted combo too, if you can get it off…
I've recently been using the Silent Shadow and NOED pair, though I'm overdue a shakeup so it'll definitely be something different soon. Underrated strength of characters like Houndmaster, I think, being able to use so many different builds is pretty solid.
What’s silent shadow do? How does it pair with NOED?

Lately, I've been having trouble with some of the joints in my wrist and hand, and it has really made me notice that, when you get into a long chase as survivor, you have to keep pressure on the run button for a super long time. I play on controller, which makes it even more awkward to hold. It would be nice to have an option to hold to walk instead of holding to run, since you want to run most of the time as Survivor anyway.
I like this idea a lot. I’m gonna bump your post.

This exact post is post number 10,000 on my account, and to celebrate this milestone I figured I'd try and push for a little bit of positivity on the forums!
Plus being a bit sappy at the end, I think I've earned it.So, here's the question to spread the positivity: What are you guys enjoying the most about Dead By Daylight right now?
I can start: I'm really enjoying Houndmaster. She has her bugs and they are annoying, but when you get a smooth game with her there is very little in the game as satisfying as what she can offer. Outplaying survivors with Snug, whether it's at a pallet or correctly predicting a long-range snipe without line of slight, feels amazing. It helps that she's pretty damn strong, too, and very versatile. She's rapidly becoming one of my favourite killers in the game!
And, for the sappy part… I love this place. It's grown to be quite a big chunk of my recreational time, I spend time lurking and reading posts even when I'm not posting myself and I don't see that changing any time soon. It'll be twenty thousand before you know it!
Congratulations!! 🎊🍾🎈
I enjoy seeing you in the community and I am really glad Houndmaster has grown on you despite her…flaws. Haha
That’s okay though. She will get her love from the devs. I too really enjoy her, and am passionate about her.I am looking forward to sharing time though with the judgement when she releases. I’m excited to try different builds.
Side Bonus. My favorite 2 builds on Houndmaster if you want - STBFL, Rapid, Surge, Pain Res. Addons are your choice. The other build is a skill check build 😈
My builds aren’t meta but they’re fun!
Oppression, overcharge, merciless storm and No Quarter. I use spiked collar on this build to make no quarter a little more fun. 🤣😈

So I just read a post that someone questioned why people DC against dredge. I was surprised to see that a lot of the issue was overstimulation when his power is triggered. I wonder if there’s a way Behavior might be able to make the noises more dull or some kind of option for people who may be autistic and have those issues to still enjoy that killer or even for people who just find the noise overwhelming to enjoy him as well. Again, not sure if this is an issue already brought to their attention but to have part of the community excluded over it definitely sucks.
Dredge doesn’t have a high DC rate at all. His pick rate isn’t even that high.
It wouldn’t hurt to have a setting specific to going against dredge to where you could adjust this as long as it doesn’t interfere with normal gameplay or somehow give advantages a killer that isn’t classified as strong to begin with.

so another year of her being literally the worst killer in the game, sadge
She’s not the worst but she’s down there for sure.
-
It will likely be next year. The midchapter they said will not have any Killer Tweaks in it. Recently on their discord stream they mentioned skull merchant and rework. They said they have something really cool down for her design wise on paper, which leads me to believe they haven’t really started the work in terms of coding and redesigning her.
The Terrifier comes end of November. They will hard focus on his license to make sure it’s clean and not another Houndmaster release because right after that we will have bonechill, and then the devs go on a 2 week break.
The dev that did create skull merchant though seems excited to see her back in action and is excited about working on her again.
