That is only evident on the killer side. For survivor, they want it very unfriendly for new players and casuals.
-
It's ok for the survivor experience to be horrible, as long as the killer had fun. He was only trying to win after all.
Windows of Opportunity was obviously unfair for killers. It's not ok for survivors to try to win. Maybe we need to nerf some more anti-tunneling perks. 🙄
-
BHVR only is concerned with killer complaints and issues for them.
-
I think it's hilarious killer queues are longer with each iteration. I would say yes - out of touch or absolutely in love with killer.
-
It's easy to see the new killer was made by BHVR and killer main community, no input from survivor POV.
-
You know how much killers dominate and control the game. Even the tiniest change to make a killer bearable to play against causes an uproar and daddy BHVR has to run out with a reassurance statement and reversion.
-
That's simply because they've nerfed survivors over and over for like 10 years and power creep killers into oblivion.

Okay but there are other things you could run if you want protection from other things too. Perks SHOULD have an impact on the game, that's a good thing. Exhaustion Perks also always give value, the baseline should be that every perk always provides value, not that there's a chance it provides value. what needs to happen is perks that do not always provide some level of value need to be reevaluated and if there's not enough reasonable function to distribute between the perks then its time to add to the core gameplay loop. and the Idea isn't just for survivors either, its also for killers, if I run a perk I want it to give value, not possibly give value. there will be more build variation when there is more viable perks to pick.
Um, survivor perks are not supposed to have impact on the game. Only killer perks. This is how BHVR and killer-only mains want it.
-
BHVR hates survivors, nobody wants to play it.

Survivor buffs are not needed. They’ve already heavily buffed the 2v8 perks and made it much easier for the survivor role compared to normal 1v4 mode to incentivize more people to play survivor. I play both sides and I’m fine with that because getting more people to choose survivor role is badly needed in 2v8. Last 2v8 I had >50% escape rate playing solo queue and I’m a very average-skilled player. The killer queues are always longer in 2v8 because a lot of people want to play killer role for a unique experience compared to 1v4, especially with friends. It’s not because survivor role in 2v8 is too hard.
What was your escape rate in the last 2v8?I don't remember but killer is definitely higher. I don't know you can say survivor is fine when it's clearly in a terrible spot and people literally willing to wait an half hour to play killer.
-
Still no survivor buffs to make it better. That's why.

Ok see the thing is there is a massive difference between someone doing that to you while you are minding your own business and you choosing to actively engage in a PvP video game where literally the only objective of your opponent is to eliminate you from the game. In DbD, you are not entitled to “eat your lunch in peace and quiet”. If you truly believe that, then you have wildly misguided expectations for online PvP gaming.
Oh, the person behind the screen is not real??? Again, you wouldn't do it in real life because there is repercussions.

Stop calling it “cyberbullying”. Tunneling is not cyberbullying, not even close, and comparing that to tunneling in a PvP game is making light of a very serious issue.
Perhaps you should read the definition of cyberbullying.
I would actually really love to see you sitting at a table with three of your friends eating lunch and a bully walk up and take your food away from you while your three friends get to eat in peace. You sit there without food watching them eat for the rest of the time.
You can't do anything or fight back to the bully whatsoever.
Then, you will understand exactly how it feels.

but tunneling is not bad just like genrushing is not bad its just doing your role optimally. why do survivors have all these rules killers have to follow why does the survivors fun and wants seem to overshadow the needs and wants of the killer player. survivors dont owe killers the courtesy of not doing gens and killers do not owe survivors the courtesy of spreading hooks. i would say the only bad people here are the ones trying to force their rules onto others thats evil and shows how little respect you have for the other side.
Sorry but you are wrong. Killer is playing the game in all instances. When you tunnel a survivor at 5 gens they do not even get to play the game. That's wrong, bad ethics because you as the killer is abusing a game to cyberbully another person in a video game. Doesn't matter if the devs say it's not bannable. It just means they are the enabler of bad ethics in a game.

its completely ethically okay.
People that do wrong to people literally don't ever think they are doing wrong. It defines good and bad.

thats litteraly not ture the devs litteraly say tunneling is not a bannable offence. its also not cyberbullying what is is telling people to kill themself for tunneling
Doesn't mean it's ethically ok. There's a lot of things immoral but isn't properly punished.

In what other game is tunneling bannable?
Literally any video game. If you single a person out and grief the person, that's bannable. You prevented them from playing the game. You could even argue it's cyberbullying.

you cant seriously believe that or are you just trolling?
If you are not biased it's very clear they prioritize killer fun. In any other game, literally tunneling someone out of the game at 5 gens preventing them from participating would be considered grieving and game bannable.
-
They pretended to fix it but killers cried their eyes out. Killer fun has always been priority. It's ok the killer plays the game all the time, nobody cares about the survivor.
-
It really shows that killer main content creators totally dictates the balancing. Like fog vials being obliterated for no reason.
I also find it funny they'll nerf that niche perk while leaving the totally busted and oppressive free win hex build on Jason.
-
Its not survivor sided though.
It's very miserable playing survivor with how oppressive the game is.
-
P2Win Killer money grab.
-
It really shows that the game is extremely broken when the player driving the killer knows how to play it.
BHVR balances the game so it only somewhat functions if the survivors are all good at the game and the killer player is terrible at the game. If the killer just simply knows how to play, the end result is 100% predicted. The definition of unbalanced and broken.
-
@esarraf said:
Looks to the survivor bloodpoint modifier
Yeah, I'm sure that killers are totally having a bad time and that's why there's so many of them.I know. All you can do is giggle.
-
Oh, all those survivors are just bad at the game. Kek
Meanwhile, a player didn't have to spend more than only a few days to do that.
-
@brewingtea said:
Maybe they're desperately trying to get someone, ANYONE, to play survivor?
Just a thought based on queue times
If that is true, I would say it took long enough.

@Habaneropeppah said:
Why aren't we seeing comments like this from survivors? "Oh, I am having so much fun playing against Jason. He jump scares me, hits me with his spear 90% of the time, regresses my gen that I cannot pop, and pressures us on both gates simultaneously. I hope my next match is against Jason again!"
The game is only all about killer and so killers are the only ones having fun.

Nah most killers even the strongest ones are sitting around 54% which means it averages out to 2 kills per match which is logged as a loss in mmr so there's that. I just wanna see bugs fixed and survivor power toned down and the number of pallets toned down 15 to 20 is a bit excessive you have to admit
That's wrong but even if you were right that would sound fair to me. Average of 2 kills is pretty balanced. But unfortunately the current balance is closer to 3k will makes survivor insufferable. Have you ever watched a good killer main? They never lose. I don't think that is balanced
-
So, a killer is supposed to win 100% of the time? We're almost there like it is.
-
I'm so glad BHVR pampered killers and refused to do the right thing and make the game fair for both sides.

Stats alone aren't the conclusion to the power state of a killer.
That is called cognitive dissonance.
You can't ignore facts when it makes you feel uncomfortable.
-
No such thing in a weak killer. All killers are winning a majority of the time which means they are too strong.
-
Its ok. Killer perks are allowed to be broken, overpowered, and annoying to verse.
-
The story is essentially that killer perks are allowed to be busted and meta.
It's fine for killers to have a free wall hack for kicking a gen or opening a locker. But a perk that gives a very small 2% objective bonus for your team dying is a huge problem lmao.
At some point, it's impossible to even make this stuff up any more.
-
Imagine a survivor winning 1992 times in a row.
Imagine a player winning 1992 times in any other video game.
Shows the massive disconnect the devs have with their game.
-
They want to sell more of that expensive skin. Killers are P2W.
-
This is a symptom of a severely unbalanced game. Survivors have no comeback mechanics like killers do. It's very to snowball as killer and the game is very punishing for survivors
-
What is not killer sided in the game? The entire game is a joke.
-
Meanwhile, you can't even do gens because of gen block perks. I really seriously don't think killers want to discuss handholding faithfully.
-
It shows tier lists are inaccurate. Some killers are simply easier to play. Survivors don't have time for all the secondary objectives some killers require.
-
Killer fun is always valued higher than for survivors which is why killers and perks and the game in general has a strong tendency to always favor killer.
-
Sounds like over exaggeration as usual.
-
The majority of survivors are solo so BHVR has a responsibility to make sure killers have a broken advantage so they have huge non-stop winstreaks.
-
Of course, that's because survivors don't know how to quit. BHVR has shown in their actions they care nothing about the experience.

Making conclusions about balance based on extreme cases on either side makes no statistical sense. That’s like concluding “oh we have to nerf bats in baseball because Shohei Ohtani is too good at hitting.” Those cases mean nothing because they don’t apply to 99.9999% of players.
You have to look at the overall player population. Kill/escape ratio is 60/40 in favor of killer. That is a very intentional ratio target set by BHVR based on how many people want to play either killer or survivor. Clearly they found that this is the sweet spot where the highest number of people choose either side. Very important point: NOT EVERYONE IS GOING TO LIKE IT. You cannot please everyone in anything in life. Plenty of players, including myself, are totally fine escaping 40% of the time while playing the survivor role. Some do better, some do worse. That’s how averages work.
If you’re doing worse, it’s not because the game balance is broken because obviously plenty of other players are able to do better. It means that you yourself need to do better. I’m not saying this in a derogatory way - I was very bad at survivor when I started playing, so I understand how it feels. But I played more, watched videos from content creators, learned how to improve and now I can escape fairly consistently. And I don’t play all that much - maybe 3-5 hours a week. If I can do it, anyone can.I know you are trying to deflect but it isn't working for me.
In another game, if you are able to acquire a skill in that game and use that skill to essentially be undefeated, the responsibility of those devs would be to nerf it and rightfully so. In any other game it would be nerfed.
I will shut up as soon as you show me a survivor that can escape 1,750 times just because they are using a item or abusing a skill acquired in the game.
I know this forum is a killer echo chamber that loves their ego so feel free to disagree and down vote me. At least I want fairness and healthy balance.

We are speaking about top blight player who is destroying comp teams so not all killers can go and do this, but nice try for feeding us vs them narrative I bet many will take it seriously.
One player ok? I'm sure there is more than that. It's not a skill only one person could have.
Let's turn it around. What if one person was so good at survivor they could escape 1,750 times? What about just 100 in public matches? You would definitely have a different opinion.

So your suggestion is to just play killer? I don't think that is a valid solution.

That's the entire role of the killer player. One players role is to kill the other 4 with any tools that allowed at the players disposal even if it means tunneling and slugging. This is a PvP game not a PvE game survivor players are meant to be the victims to be killed not have their hands hold and have an easy pass to the gates. If you can't accept loses then i don't recommend playing any PvP game go stick with single player games.
Go ahead and ignore how easy it is to play killer, can win thousands in a row, a thing impossible in any other "PvP" game. I'm very certain and most people with comprehension skills know killers have their hands held seriously. You want your wins given on a silver platter while telling survivors to just play the game.

Current max killer streak is 1975 wins. Please show me a "bully squad" swf with even one tenth of that as a win streak.
Thanks for mentioning that. Nobody wants to talk about that because apparently it's ok for killers to go on record "bullying" 1975 players.
Be mad at BHVR for allowing it, and totally ignoring half of their players, with smugness as well.

What are you doing in an asymmetrical 1v4 horror game then?
That's a very silly question. What does asymmetrical mean in allowing one player to have the ability to deny others from playing or enjoying a game? This is a game. You are not playing against 4 bots, they are human players. Get that straight please.
