I'll defend Judgment because:
→ It's community killer, therfore being strong isn't an issue.
→ is exactly designed for people suffering killers anxiety (sabo builds, flashlight saves, pallet saves, window saves, antitunnel perks, perk off hook - dead hard, baby sitter, STB, Off The Record, Ressurgence…)
→ you don't have to suffer strong loops as your power goes through everything
IMO Judgment is fine and those who don't want to suffer enxiety can play her without torturing themselves. Fairs.
I'll also defend The Judgement alongside you for the exact same reasons but of course people on this forum are already downvoting and dogpiling on you. typical.

Yeah so it's double standards, killers are allowed to dc no one cares, survivors dc well the game decides to punish the entire lobby for it. Why don't we make it fair, since we are all about fairness on these forums right?
Yeah, do you know why? Cause the Killer isnt on the same team as the survivors. If the killer dc's it doesnt make the survivors more likely to lose. Sure it ends the match right away, removing any chance for survivors to earn more BPs. But aside from that it doesnt hurt the survivors chances of escaping.

In the end, it just removes any skill needed from the killer side. You don't need game sense when your target just shows up on screen through walls. Plenty of players don't care that they are getting an easy win because of aura reveals.
and what about the survivor side? you guys have aura reads as well

by play properly i mean not spamming rays randomly at gens with no knowledge of where anyone is or just spam rays at totems. absolutely boring play style
and where is The Judgement suppose shoot their rays, straight into the wall?

I think the first question to ask yourself is, what would make it more fun for you? Of course, everyone is going to have a different answer, and none of them would be right or wrong. But for example, if I walked up to you and let you put me on the hook, would that make it more fun for you?
I think the better question is: If theres something you do as survivor and us KM's say "No! Stop doing that, its not making our games fun" are you still going to stop doing it?
I mean that is what all you survivors tell us killers whenever we: Camp/tunnel/slug/3gen, play Nurse/Blight/Kaneki/Jason, 4 gen regress perks, or anything else that inconvenience you. -

sadly this isnt the 1st time they complained about Nemmy having 4 zombies in 2v8. having 2 zombies wasnt a problem, what difference does 2 more make. 10 zombies I can see but 4?

they need make so killers are actually to fun play against, you won't solve a root problem by giving penalties left and right
the killers are fun to play against, the root cause is that survivors think they have every right to DC and not suffer penalties for it.

because survivors refuse to adapt. instead of doing gens they just stood around hook. ive had survivor teams that worked together and got a 4 man escape while I camped before the anti-face camp change, as Knight btw

Yeah it was a good incentive. Idk why they removed the bp bonus
idk the actual reason except to break the meta since most ppl were using it for the bp gain, survivors had an equivalent with WGLF with gaining up to 4 tokens for protection hits and unhooking safely. If they brought back token BBQ, i guarantee you wont see tunneling at 5 gens very often or at all
-
@HoodedWildKard said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4100449#Comment_4100449
That was it. Been a while. Shame they removed that. Did it fro. A few perks. I remember when old TOTH and distressing used to give general bp bonuses just for using them. I acty used to have a bp farming build on demo with those perks.
Honestly "Token BBQ" was really the best and original "anti-tunneling" perk. Back when I was a Doctor main full-time my loadout was "STBFL, Pop, BBQ, and (insert random perk here)" I would always get my first hooks from all 4 survivors then after that I'd play normally, whether I would camp, tunnel, slug, or not.

It is a shame they removed some of the rewards for spreading hooks. I remember bbq used to provide a bloodpoint bonus if you hooked 2 different survivors in succession. No idea why they removed that motivation. Mimor though it may have been. Not like it broke the game.
it gave the killer a token everytime they hooked each survivor once and each token gave a 25% increase to BP gain in all categories (up to 100%).

I've been seen a lot of creators make videos lately so I figured i would make a post here.
I want to start by saying I've been playing dbd on and off for around 6 years now, I started a little after the clown release and I have killer anxiety. There's many times I load up and get to the killer screen and just stop or maybe sit there trying to find a killer and start thinking of all the stress. That bully squad that was on point and just made that match feel like crap or the match that I ended up having a bad first chase and the game steam roll out of my hands so quickly and then I just close the game out because nah I don't really want to deal with it I'll go play thing else.
I have agree with refined that I'm maybe not be the devs intention but it's most definitely there responsibility to fix the problem. If your game is actively giving one side a real form of anxiety there needs to be some form of change. I think that more attention should be brought to this subject.
I know I'm about to get the loud minority of survivors coming in here and saying how dumb it is and that the killer role is easier them it's ever been but just because the hill your trying to climb is now a 80 degree angle now instead of 90 doesn't make it easy.
If you all want leave your stories here get them out we can try and have an actual discussion.
I find myself feeling the same way. I get raring up to do killer and just stare at my Killer but not que up. Used to be the thought of facing a swf (bully squad or just quick steamroll team) but I'd still manage to pep talk myself and que up. Recently its now been a split between "Killer Anxiety" and "Killer De-motivation". the de-motivation coming from the constant E-survivor (Entitled Survivors) mains making constant complaining posts (tunnel/slugging, Blight/Nurse/Jason, killer aura read), unnecessary killer nerfs, and now the Black Banquet event which only favors the survivors.
some killer nerfs and other topics that also played into the de-motivation for me as such:- 3 gen nerf (its the killers job to defend gens, it is not holding the game hostage)
- STBFL, no one was complaining about it before but as soon it they decided to nerf it survivors all of a sudden started saying it was unhealthy perk
- being attacked just for playing optimally
- Blight's pallet nerf (i might be alone on this one), Blight has to watch out for tight corners like indoor maps, his tokens still have to recharge one at a time, and now he loses 2 tokens just for breaking a pallet all for the sake of "survivors need more distance"
Not all but just a few. The Devs just need to stop appeasing the casual/entitled side of the survivor community but the 4 survivors make them more money than the 1 killer so I dont see that happening. Like you called it, we're already getting that loud minority of survivor mains and "white Knight" Killers (i mean its just survivors claiming to killers so they can make their "killer nerf comments without being called out for it) in the comments.

Please explain how last years anniversary was not a killer sided event?
I didnt have fun versing remote hooks and pallet break power. but "you don't gotta play the event que" was a common sentiment when complaints like that where made.ok fine. Survivors could block windows to the killer, spawn "party" pallets (in and out of chase), and have a "quiet" mode power that greatly reduced Footsteps/breathing/grunts of pain/locker noise. This was last year's anniversary event powers survivors got.
like with anything you people complain about and say its "unfun". you cant just say it was unfun for you and demand change. a player's fun does matter but you'll say anything that annoys you is unfun.
Killers havent gotten anything close to what survivor have this year

@ba_tetsuo said:
The Black Banquet is shaping up to be one of the most lopsided events DBD has ever shipped, and it launched today. Survivors are walking around with invincibility, invisibility, portals, temporary unbreakable pallets, and the ability to rebuild and reset pallets while the killer's design contribution was apparently "uh, give 'em poison or something" before calling it a day. The food mechanic is a joke on the survivor side too: the food stations are unlimited and sitting about five seconds away from the tables where you bring them, so the buffs flow constantly with zero effort. BHVR somehow looked at their 10th anniversary event and decided this was the moment to hand survivors a toolkit that makes the killer feel like an inconvenience rather than a threat.
And honestly, at this point even survivors have to be a little insulted at how babied they are here, right? There's no satisfaction in winning when the game is basically doing it for you.careful, you're gonna call in all the entitled, survivor larpers telling you that you're wrong or cry about how past events were killer-sided (they werent). But yea i know what you mean, I saw "unbreakable pallets" and just went "Nope!"

its just Bamboozle without the block, Forever Entwined, and Brutal Strength all in one perk. Getting up to a 30% bonus in these actions, its quite strong, but situational. you may not get value out of it until its too late.
i beg of you all please try it
i've tried it and see it has somewhat value. its just that its reliant on the game progression (how many gen are done)

No, it's isn't a soloq issue. Soloq is a big part of the game. If something is uncounterable in solo on one killer it shouldn't exist. I normally play all three aspects of this game but I currently won't touch soloq, and I'm sure I'm not alone. That's not healthy for the game's queue times or its outloook.
We should not balance around ignorance.
I'm assuming which ever CC that said this meant the ignorance of a player in regards to how things work, not the inability to even share or have information. Information that is imossible to obtain is not the same as ignorance.
Hilarious thing to say though, when talking about a no-thoughts killer who can turn invisible and zoom around the map while regressing gens with an add-on and getting free info on everybody. You can be macro-ignorant as all hell but still win.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4092163#Comment_4092163
Telling people they should have to spend money to even have a chance to win the game is just gross.
I don't need or want easy escapes. My 30-day is always well above 40% and has been for some time (and still is). Nor would I ever want any killer I play to be this easy to win with. I'd be livid if my killers got buffed to this degree. Some of us do want to earn things. Strange, but true.
Cause thats eventually what you're going to get if you keep pushing these nerfs onto him.
Nobody is asking for a rework, nor did anyone ask for that one.
Why? If you want to increase your chances of escape and theres a Survivor whose perks that can help with that, it makes sense to buy it with auric/Iri shards/shrine of secrets, nothing is free these days. You know that word we talked about earlier called "adapting".
Never said you needed it; it still sounds like you want it but whatev. Very few killers are easy, it always depends on what survivors you face, kind of silly to say you'd be livid if any killers you play got buffed. All of us killer mains want and do earn things whether you're talking about Nurse, Ghoul, or Jason. Strange but true as well.

So the issue is solo q players not having enough communication. Sounds like a SOLO Q ISSUE and not Jason issue. Maybe once they get the tools THEN we can touch up on Jason. As much as I hate quoting content creators… We should not balance around ignorance.

How would you like soloqers to cleanse Thrill totems with zero coordination against a killer that gets constant info while also being fast and invisible? Wanting busted killers and easy wins is the skill issue.
and how often do soloqer face a "Hex-Jason"? Just deal with it the best you can or start running anti-hex builds and hope you face a Hex-build. No one wants busted killers that give easy wins; you just call him that cause you want easy escapes or just dont want to learn and adapt. Do you really want another "Slaughtering Strike Myers"? Cause thats eventually what you're going to get if you keep pushing these nerfs onto him.
-
thats fine. If you guys do get him nerf'd, dont be crying the next day if you keep facing Blights/Nurses/Ghouls/Krasues. Dont be on here demanding nerfs for them, I mean you could but ya'll will look silly after you got Jason Nerf'd and then demanding even more. Just saying.

Old myers for sure
Same. Addon Myers was the poster child to the concept "addons dont just buff your powers, they can even change their behavior". When you face Myers, its never just the same Myers. Its one that creeps and stalks you with aura read, Its one thats forever in T3, or even one that can mori you without hooking you once (yes i know everyone hates that one).
I'd like them to adopt this concept for most (if not all) Killers, like Nemesis turning his Zombies into Crimson Heads or the Doctor to make his Illusions more life-like that chase and lunge at you. -
reason I ask is I see the community divided on which one they hate more. Addon myers with Tombstone that can mori with no hooks or Slaughtering Myers that has Pig lunge.

He can't emerge on top of you just at any of 200 locations evenly distributed throughout the map while knowing where you are
and thats only when you're working on a generator or not crouching. its not like it gives him aura read, its more like how Xenokitty sees your footsteps "has an idea where you are but not an exact location".

”It’s not like he can emerge on top of you”. Most gens are near pallets, most hooks are also near vaults and pallets.
Okay, and? The Fog rolls in giving survivors an "heads-up he's near", and his jumpscare basically stuns him when he emerges before he can do anything. His jumpscare also suffers a "50% on emerge while near a hooked survivor" effect. Sorry but that still doesnt make it busted just because he can do indefinitely.
-
sry but theres nothing broken about O-P's duration. he can stay in O-P indefinitely, so what? its not like he can emerge on top of you, it has to be on a pallet, window, or breakable wall.

Slugging will stop being a problem when bhvr gives us basekit way to fight it back.
HOT TAKE: Killers who need to slug are bad at pressuring the surviovors.
you have Unbreakable
"In Dead by Daylight, pressuring survivors means forcing them to stop repairing generators and waste time on other tasks"
if this is true then slugging a survivor by definition is "pressuring the survivors" so your hot take doesnt make sense. Unless this is another "but its not fair to the survivor"?

No kidding. You might win the thread with some of these.
I mean I got 8 already
-
some wont like mine but heres my opinions, sry its alot:
- Playstyles like Camping, tunneling, and slugging are strategies that can fail and are not issues.
- 3 genning is 50% survivor's fault for not spreading out gens, other 50% if the killer defends the 3 closest gens either at 5 or 1 gen. This is not holding the game hostage and is fair.
- "its unfun to play against" is not a good reason to nerf killer
- survivor's fun is not the killer's job. The reverse is true as well
- This is a pvp before it is anything else, regardless if most of the playerbase is casual
- Players dont have the right to tell their opponent how to play.
- No Killer is "braindead", if you have to use your mouse/keyboard or controller to use the killer than it is not "braindead".
- Survivors have it way easier than Killers.
- Survivors have UI that tells you what your teammates are doing (doing gens/healing/totems/ who is being chased by the Killer) basekit anti-face camp, basekit anti-tunnel, gen become blocked from kicking 8 times to the killer but survivors can still repair them.
- Just because you play casually, doesnt mean the other side has to.
- The Ghoul doesnt need anymore nerfs.
- The Blight's nerf was unnecessary.
- The M2 Perk nerfs were not necessary (Surge, starstruck, STBFL)
- The STBFL M2 nerf was unnecessary.
- Legion should be put back into 2v8.
- The last anti-tunnel/slug ptb was dropped because it took away the Killer's "freedom Of Choice".
- Killers are the true soloq's. at least survivors have teammates in normal 1v4
- Nemesis 2v8: its only 4 zombies and they are not a problem
I have way more but ill end it there.
-
BBq and chili is the original anti-tunnel perk
-
I dont have a problem with The Ghoul. Cant get a 100% escape with him but dont hate or d/c against him either when i play survivor
