I would want kaneki in 2v8 but survivors just hate this guy (for a dumb reason imo), bhvr have said how they decide which killers to add to 2v8 and it's those ones with good pick rate, not hated by both sides, easy to implement power that doesn't have bad interactions with other powers (like against dredge lockers can be closed but how does that work with Huntress as she needs to open those locker) and if licence allows to implement that killer in 2v8 like maybe they don't want their killer be with another killer, I think that's all of them and kaneki doesn't fit the part where both sides don't hate him, he is loved by majority of killer players but hated by survivor players, it would be a similar situation with legion probably.
I would straight up not play 2v8 if Ghoul was introduced. Legion was miserable and 2v8 was much more enjoyable after removal. Ghoul would be 10x worse than Legion. So if you just want to play 2v8 against bot survivors, then adding Ghoul is a good idea.
WHEN WILL MY GOAT THE GHOUL AKA KEN KANEKI BE ADDED
Likely never. There was a survey done that said which killers would you likely not want to see in 2v8 and Ghoul was #1. He will very likely never be added…For the enjoyment of 2v8 he needs to stay out. If Legion can't be in due to how unfun he is to go against. Ghoul shouldn't be either.
If anything, Ghoul in 2v8 would be perfect place for casual players to play against. Arguably, he will be oh so much weaker due to 500 pallets all over the map, something that Ghoul can't leap himself over easily, reducing his cutoff and vault potential.
Anyone who says Ghoul would be worse than Legion are plain false, matter of fact, Legion could run around and wound many people in a very short duration of time. Ghoul would take much more time to wound that many survivors with his power, since it can only affect one survivor at a time.
The real issue however, is that first, Ghoul's a licensed character, it will take more time to get permission for him to be added in 2v8. And second, Ghoul himself is VERY fun to play as, while also being very easy to learn. This will drastically affect que times as killers, which is already an issue since the first 2v8 iteration
Personally, I'd love to see them in 2V8 because I think they would be fun. I'd also find it pretty entertaining to see the player base throw a massive wobbly and have a complete meltdown over their addition.
But we all know it would be a waste of development resources to add them. They'd last 2 iterations (if that) before BHVR caved in to demands to remove them.
So I'd rather BHVR left 2V8 as it is and focused on developing new modes. The community have killed 2V8's future development by stamping their feet over the Legion and setting the precedent that characters can be removed (and now Oni is on shaky ground, too).
His ability to remove endurance/return to the hook easily paired with anti loop builds. His grab basically stunning both him and you while he licks his hand and screeches. He isn't casual friendly at all to play against, yet he is really easy to get value from, which is a terrible mix for 2v8.
DBD is starting to have the same problem with games that introduce too many characters in too quick of a succession where older characters are typically more straight forward and simple such as Huntress throws a hatchet or The Trapper places Traps, even the higher tier old killers like Nurse and Blight are pretty straight forward even though there's a ton of things that can be done with them if you have experience on them but The Ghoul is a prime example of a character being added with way too much going on that's way too easy to accomplish. people hate the knight for the same reason imo. The Ghoul gets a basically free deep wound with very little penalty for distance as he can just cross the map on a pretty low cooldown and thats already annoying, it also doesn't take much practice to jump in front of someone and block them from vaulting or a pallet. likewise even though the Knight isn't actually that high on the killer tierlist he's annoying because he has a very high reward, very low risk and low effort style that is annoying to face. Kaneki is worse because he has a very high playrate as well.
So he is boring because he has too much going on that is hard on your average survivor to deal with and remember while also being extremely easy to play as a killer.

He'd probably pair too well with Spirit and Oni to be added.
Like Legion, but on a killer that can easily get the down too.

Hopefully soon because the roster is rather boring
You need more Survivors to play the mode, not less.
So you like to wait for an hour or so?

believe it or not, but killer selection impacts the survivor experience too, and the current roster is buns.
I'm bored of every 2v8 killer. Id rather play 1v4 and face ghoul or springtrap
If you want queue times to be from 30 minutes to one hour, go ahead

That's what they are saying, Kaneki would make people play less LMAO myself included, boring screeching anime man
how is he boring?
