The following video demonstrates The Judgement being absolutely broken;
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKm4cQp7bZ0
The judgement right now is being the main ender of winstreaks against fully trained competitive teams with abusing builds.
I say this as a currently Judgement main, who wants this killer to succeed, and wants this killer to be incredibly strong, but ultimately fair.
In my old post I've argued in detail on why The Judgement curve is at the center of determining whether this killer ends up in a fair spot or not: The Judgement Curve SHOULD be fixed — BHVRIn it, I argue that the value of the curve should be exactly balanced to where, when the Judgement plays perfectly and the survivors dodge perfectly, it should ultimately come down to superhuman reaction time (150-200ms) on whether The Judgement hits it.
This means that there is only 1 curve value and 1 blast radius that CAN be ultimately considered fair for The Judgement.
Considering that the Devs in the past have been motivated to use the curve itself as a Zealous mechanic, it is now time we put a stop to it and make the curve and radius in both Zealous and Non Zealous standardized to be EXACTLY fair.
Should the Devs want other incentives for Exiling over hooking over the ones that are already there, then that'll need to take a different creative direction. However, to put the Judgement in a place that's fair for both sides, it's time to acknowledge that The Judgement can only exist as a fair killer if we standardize the curve + radius, with no additional add-ons that alter the curve nor size.
I currently estimate her Truly fair values to be around 0.3s curve and a base +10% beam size. With the perfect value probably being somewhere between 0.3s and 0,4s but never more, and probably leaning closer to 0.3.
As long as there is no standardized value, it will always mean that her ability, in whether zealous or non-zealous, is inherently fair and unbalanced towards 1 side of player; either to herself or to the survivors. That is the part that we need to stop. The killer just got all her buffs reverted and we want….more nerfs? Absolutely not.

Same. These forums were a great place to discuss dbd. Can't get the same vibe elsewhere.
Shoutout to all those Onryo mains who fought hard to try and stop BHVR from ruining Onryo over the course of 2 reworks, as well as making suggestions for how to balance and fix her. I enjoyed all the discussions we had even if there were disagreements.
Me too <3

Probably not. It's a shame. I enjoyed sharing my thoughts. I am really…really going to miss seeing everyone names and "Faces" (Profile Pics) on the forums. :(

Even with diminishing returns, this combo is lethal and leaves survivors with zero counterplay in chase, making double-taps insanely effective, never mind the survivors' imperfect pathing in these clips—the speed boost is completely negligible compared to the weapon cooldown anyway, so the point still stands.Honorable mention: check out that Doctor clip where you literally can't unhook a survivor—pretty good job, I'd say.
Ive been able to counter it with overcome. Its been really helpful!

Yeah, that was an odd change in my opinion.

Idk..Watching how survivors loop and play while in 2v8 is laughable. Some of the most inefficient players I have ever seen. Then they want to blame killers that they are OP. People really need to take a hard look at how they are performing.

I could be the odd ball out here but I quite enjoy the salt rituals. I think the visuals and sound effects to it are really amazing too!

Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of a Survivor going in for a sick dunk, but yeah, definitely a bug. If you haven't already, I'd suggest reporting this on BetaHub, as that helps give us more info about what's causing it:

Yeah, if I didn't spend my shards on a new outfit pretty much every time I hit 21K (not to mention all the original characters I've bought with shards), god knows how many I have after all these years. If you play DBD like you have no life, 115K is pocket change.
Most people have earned more than that, they just spend them and never see it all at once.
Yeah I feel ya. I rarely use them. A little here a little there.

The issue was the curve window for zealous mode getting changed yet again. That was not needed, and it makes judgment harder to dodge
And without the curve it made it much harder to hit even when you did exile someone.

I am genuinely baffled by the decision to buff Judgment after the previous patch. Judgment was already in a good spot! I think buffing Divine Light once again was just too much, 0.6 seconds was already in the perfect spot, but 0.8 is way too much. The curve on Non zealous mode and the exile rescue changes are good and can stay as is but the curve buff on zealous mode needs to be reverted asap, or we make Judgment overtuned like Singularity is atm, and I really don't want Judgment to get nerfed to feel like ######### like Krasue
Singularity overtuned? That's interesting…I disagree. I think the changes were fine and I am glad they added it so that survivors spawn over 30 meters away from the Killer. That was actually kinda insane to spawn right ontop of the killer.

This killer is legit Henry all over again, just pure guess work.
Killer guessed right (or aura perk) and spawns the ray under your feet? well ya getting hit with no counterplay
Killer guesses wrong by a few metres? well ya make a few metres distance til she tries another guess
literally everyone hates henry and you make him all over again, plus all the interaction (flash saves, sabos, pallet saves, wiggle in general is all useless so theres inherently just less interaction
this killer is simply annoying and not fun. dont be surprised when people AFK this shiii
Literally every PVP game…

I'd be down for that in full. If it counted as hooking and unhooking all around it would be sensibly balanced and fair. My only objection is from the one side or the other argument.
Would be nice to get something like pop/BBQ/etc on exile. Though I wonder how 'scourge' hooks would work with exile, as it would need to be addressed. Given you can exile three survs and it only takes one action to free them, would be senseless to not count exiles as scourges to even it out.Yeah for sure…I'd rather just keep it as is. Its balanced. Survivors lose perks. Killers lose perks. It works out. Don't change what isnt broken.

I just wish BHVR put more focus into what we already have. There's so much really cool current content that just feels left behind.

If we did that though we would have to let survivors use their perks to be fair. That's why I would like to keep it as is.

Is there any way to have this revisited? I know the dev note said that there were concerns on the lower tier amount of time. That's not even my complaint, what about the seven other status effects it used to work on but doesn't anymore??? Now it's just an exhaustion reducer? That's awful. What happened here and why?
They changed it because the perk Vigil reduced Killer Power effects, killer perks, killer addons all by 66%.
Certain killers such as Clown, Freddy for example would get hit hard by vigil. The hindered applies from their powers would just dissolve very rapidly. This is just to name 2 examples.

I have a screenshot somewhere where Peanits said that voided gains/losses are for the person, not the game. Everyone else will still gain or lose or stay the same based on their outcome because MMR gains/losses is determined on a 1v1 basis. I think for officially released kill/escape rates they leave out matches with those voids. I don't imagine this will change but could be wrong.
yeah I was gonna say that was quite some time ago. I have a feeling things have shifted but of course I will never know the answer to that unless they say so lol

So basically coz she moves slower but has a much longer reach she isn't an issue in applying compared to the killer who is also deemed bad if he can't hit his m2's which are hard to control.
It doesn't make sense to me, she can zone crazy well too, just look at good players with her.Correct. In my opinion. Her beams are quite flexible when it comes to dodging them. Its telegraphed up to 25+ meters away. (I think its actually 30. I could be wrong though) In addition you can go to statues to repent. Most survivors do not when they are hit across the map. They choose to greed the gen or wait till the last second until its too late and she's right on top of the survivor.
When I get hit halfway across the map - I go to a statue and repent asap. I don't wait and I can tell you most survivors are waiting WAY too long to do anything about it much like Sadako's condemn stacks.
-
@Rokku_Rorru said:

It's not really the same because he doesn't apply it on his attack, but by his traps.
The issue here is Judgement applies it on her main projectile.Due to judgement not being 4.6 and her beam goes 60 meters. Sure you can do map wide if you want with an addon but the survivors get the benefit of seeing the aura of the beam by another 200% in addition to the recent buff, so essentially. Anywhere you will see the beam.
PH should never be able to apply it on his attack. We tried that. It was dangerous. Too dangerous. He is able to zone immensely, m2 fake, and close in on opponents much much easier. Judgement however really struggles at close range.

I dont think you can compare those two. From my experience, it is very rare that Pyramid Head can sent people to Cages. And most just keep it for the Mini Mori.
For Judgment, except for one time, I have seen all Survivors been sent to the Exile. It is far more consistent for this Killer to do this.
That the Killer can also not use certain Perks is also not really relevant. There are still enough Perks to be used AND the Killer always knows what Killer will be in the game. So they just dont bring Hook-Perks. Survivors dont have that luxury, depending on your Build, you end up with a bunch of useless Perks against Judgment.
I hear you - however in my experience playing PH. I get a lot of cages. I never wait on them or hook for later. I just keep reapplying torment over and over. They either avoid my torment and have to take the long way, risk getting downed, or take the path you wish but get tormented. I give them those 2 options. lol

Your initial position was that the precedent was already set with PHead. Now your position is that the Judgement is the only killer, therefore it is a non-issue. Neither positions dispute OP's concern over the design's health for the game, might I add.
Were I to provide a genuine response, I imagine you might change your position once more to continue this dismissive pattern of communication. Are you interested in having a good-faith conversation or would you rather be a contrarian?First of all, It was just a typo when I responded. I was answering while at work. Didnt have time to edit my post…Second..You said it yourself. You avoid cages by avoiding barbwire on the ground. You avoid Exile, by not getting beamed down constantly and being aware of your surrounds. There is directional sound audio and 25+ meter aura reading on her power. Your builds are great builds and will work on 42 members of the killer roster. There is nothing further I wish to add to this conversation.

The 2-for-1 recovery is only a concern if you downed both survivors near eachother. …but I already acknowledged there are (rare) cases in which the Judgement hooks someone, so I'm not sure why we are still debating it.
OP's post resonates with me specifically because all of my preset survivor builds are comically useless against Judgement.

I haven't run a healing build since the diminishing returns, but even if I did, the fact every Judgement is running Nurses' makes it a risky pick. Its hard to look at my presets and say "I'm glad all this build diversity is going out the window"Judgement/PH are the only killers. There are 42+ Killers. Your builds in most cases will work just fine. There aren't many judgement players and there wont be many due to how hard she is.
I have barely seen her and she just released.

That being said - I'm pretty sure I found a perk interaction that isn't supposed to work if someone could report it or if I'm wrong and it's normal correct me
If Hyperfocus gives you a skillcheck and you use Potential Energy before landing it then it gives you skillchecks and speeds up potential energy. If this is intended then nevermind I'm an idiot.
If this is a bug and mods see this feel free to hide I just wanted to report it because I thought skillchecks weren't possible with Potential Energy.

I agree with the sentiment.https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4112905#Comment_4112905
The difference I see between the two killers is that PHead's primary power does not circumvent hooks whereas Judgement's does. Survivors can avoid the cage by avoiding the Rites.
Judgement's chase is so weak that she will inevitably down you with her range attack, which means you should almost never be hooked unless the Judgement determines it is strategically advantageous to do so (and it rarely is).If I have get 2 downs and they are both marked has heretics, I don't exile both. Its a waste. 1 survivor will get 2 survivors out of exile. I exile one…hook the other. Waste more time for the survivors. Its better to do it this way unless if of course you are being beamed to death or they are on a pallet and you know someone is nearby then yes, just exile.

phead can't simply snipe across the map. Judgement doesnt have to chase like phead to secure downs.
Correct. Instead you see a beam of light that travels up to 60 meters, while getting to see its aura from over 25 meters away through walls with directional sound audio.

I don't think I've ever played a killer that has as many ups/downs as this. One game people stare at the indicator in wide open and get double hit on a gen then the next everyone is easily avoiding them. Omg I just missed 6 shots in a row games over then 7th shot happens to hit 2 survs downing one through a wall accidentally.
I personally really hate how effective yet inconsistent the sniping aspect is. It's probably the least enjoyable thing from survivor side as well. Would it be too early to say they should gut her effective range but increase curve window or other aspects of mid/close ranges?
She isn't going to be fun to go against for everyone. I quite enjoy playing against her. That's just me though.
